We loved the house and all the amenities it provided.
Bedrooms had comfortable beds and a good layout.
Garage was well stocked with beach chairs, snorkel gear, toys and bikes.
A couple of minor negative things: we arrived after dark and could not get any of the exterior light to come on.
Next day we realized somebody had unscrewed all the bulbs. Also the kitchen refrigerator was not working so a freestanding one was provided. None of these things was a big deal. We enjoyed our stay very much.

When first approaching the house, we were impressed with the size and way the home looked. However, upon entering the home and checking out everything, we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the home as well as the fridge.We found a dead roach in the master bathroom. Not sure how long it was dead but it should have been cleaned up by the cleaning crew. The pix of the pool were a little deceiving. The website should be updated - not only to reflect the small size of the pool but also the fact that guests can no longer keep the sliding doors open due to the new laws /not sure guests would want to keep the doors open due to bugs at night.Every day there were tiny silver fish in the master bath& silver fish and roly poly bugs in the other bathrms.The main fridge was down so there was a 2nd fridge in the kitchn which was fine but the ice machine was broken & the additional ice machine provided never worked properly - we called for service and it was "fixed" but we had to tend to it in order to get ice. There were no bath mats in any of the bathrms so we all ended up using a towel for the floor when getting out of the shower. The gate to the entrance needs to be fixed as it's probably too heavy for the brackets - which I discovered after the first couple of days trying to open the gate with one hand and pinching my fingers. One of the bedrooms had bedding stuffed into the dresser (2 of the drawers) so there wasn't enough room for personal belongings.

House was amazing! Pool was great. Hot tub wasn’t very hot, but still comfortable to relax in. A rental car is a must for staying here, if you want to be able to go do things. Will definitely stay here again.

We really loved this property. We have a little one and it was nice to be able to relax in the pool while he was napping. They even provided items like a high chair and pack-n-play. The location was great and close to other resorts and shopping. The home was clean and well taken cared of. The only thing was the grass around the pool needed to be cut but besides that we loved it! We definitely want to come back. Mahalo for the wonderful stay!

During the Covid pandemic, our family was fragmented. School was online. I wanted everyone ti reconnect. We slowed our lives down and enjoyed meals together. We traveled to places nearby of each person’s choice. The house was like our sanctuary and place to test easy.

Came for a family get together for our 50th anniversary and found these accommodations perfect for a large group, yet plenty of personal space for people to relax away from the group as well.

We were pleasantly surprised that the property went well above our expectations. We have traveled with our family many times throughout the world. This property was perfect for our growing family. We have three grown kids who are married with three grandkids ages 3- 6 months. It was perfect for all our needs. The on-site pool was great for nap times giving us all a relaxing time of resting by the pool. The alarm made us all feel better with the little ones in our family. Having access to the community pool as well as the beach club was amazing. It allowed us to enjoy the beach, snorkeling and playing in the sand. We decided to rent golf carts for the week and that was the BEST thing we did. Going everywhere in them was an adventure for the kids and a great way to get around locally. It had been our best vacation rental as a family. We would not hesitate to come back again and highly recommend it to our friends.

Our family of 10 stayed for a week and had a great time. There were some issues with the property. Water pressure in the kitchen was very low, refrigerator malfunctioning after the first day, air conditioner kept breaking. However, the prop manager was fairly quickly responsive. The house and Area was absolutely beautiful! Overall a great vacation.

This property is beautiful & very accommodating for family of 7 adults. The location is a bit out of the main part of town (Kona) but its in a beautiful area & we loved the quiet privacy! We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom & the comfortable gathering areas. The lanai was well utilized & the pool was awesome to have to oursleves!

First, let me say the folks at Paradise in Hawaii were extremely easy to deal with. Check in/out was smooth and the two times we called for clarification the person who answered was friendly and helpful. Second, from a physical standpoint the house is in a great location and is well laid out. The home is older as are the furnishings (but we knew that going in because of the pictures on VRBO). The beds were some of the most comfortable we've found at VRBO locations but some furniture, e.g., sofas in the family room, were less than ideal. Fortunately, we didn't spend a lot of time in the family room as we were by the pool (which was wonderful) or elsewhere. The age of the home was noticeable as several things needed the attention of a handyman, e.g., the courtyard gate was sagging, and the home needed to be deep cleaned, e.g.., the windows and floors would benefit most. The recreation equipment, e.g., snorkeling gear, bikes, looked relatively new as were the beach chairs and umbrellas. Overall, it was a great place and if we have an opportunity to return to Kona I suspect we'll look to rent the same home.

This is a large house generally well equipped and could be perfect for a family of 8. It does not sleep 10 unless you want a floor mattress in the living room. Maintenance is really neglected however. The toilets need new valves and whined every time you flushed so you needed to open the back and shake the valves, the ice maker in the fridge didn't work and one of the freezers couldn't be lowered to freeze well, the dish washer often didn't empty as there was a problem with sink drainage. Yes- more maintenance !
Do not believe that what they advertise as recreation gear because most of it is not usable- from bikes to snorkel gear to helmets and boards- much of this is sadly in need of repair/discarding.
Finally, the cleanliness could be better- oven was dirty, mold in showers. Pillows need replacing for sure! With a little better care this could be a first class place.

We all had the best relaxed family time together. The house was lovely. As we had kids I did cover up those light colored kitchen chairs. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We did still have to figure out the pool heater on our own and it took a bit to get it right. The extra little house was perfect for my daughter's family. Having all the baby stuff was amazing and very much appreciated.

Great location, lovely rooms & very responsive managers. We had the air conditioner stop working and managers had a repairman there right away. Only downside is the outside pool area had old & torn patio furniture and minimal at that. Grass wasn’t tidy and there is no view. If there isn’t a view it is a MUST to have pool area be a welcoming space, it was not.

Everything you need to have fun. Bikes, boogie boards, snorkel stuff, beach towels, and more.
The only things that didn’t work was the hot tub...it just didn’t get hot, and the AC in the casita for one night.
Loved the rooms, the AC/fans, kitchen was great. BBQ was good, lots of room in the living room, outside, and dining room table.
We highly recommend the Blue Lagoon!

What an amazing house. Stocked from top to bottom with everything you could possibly wish for. The furnishings and decor was beautiful, it felt like an oasis. I highly recommend this property if your visiting The Big Island.

A wonderful vacation home. This place has it all, community, amenities, layout, proximity to beaches and restaurants. My personal favorites were the beach club access, the bicycles and beach gear provided. Plenty of room for 8 people making it perfect for the family. Loved it and I highly recommend Blue Lagoon.

The neighborhood of Kihalo is fabulous. Well kept homes, beautiful community pool and golf course. This area is realitvely new.
We were in Hawaii for a wedding at the Fairmont Orchid. We were so surprised how close it was...1 min. drive, 15 min. walk! And the little local shopping center (groceries, restaurants, etc.) was just 2 minutes the other direction!
The house is impeccably kept. Bedrroms are large with on suites. Plus a guest bath off the living room.
Kitchen was modern and well supplied. There were a few spices, 2 rolls of paper towel, baggies, foil and Saran Wrap. No left over condiments which I appreciated. Frig was clean and ready to stock.
Patio is lovely and pool immaculate. Barbecue is ready to grill.
Garage is stocked full of snorkeling equipment, toys, chairs, bikes, pump....you name it.
Best for us was the detached Casita. We were there with our 2 sons, daughter in laws and 3 small children(by the way..great supply of baby equipment). We enjoyed the house and family all day and evening, but we got to retreat to our quiet Casita at bedtime and sleep away!

Well outfitted home!!! We traveled with small children and the home had everything needed. Property management was with us every step of the way from a booking that took place nine months before arrival. They provided extensive instructions and guides relevant to our visit to the big island. Would highly recommend the Blue Lagoon to those looking to bring their family for vacation. We needed nothing while we were there for a week house had everything. Thanks again!

This home is absolutely gorgeous and we loved the location. Our family of 6 really enjoyed that we could all have a private bathroom. It’s really hard to find a house with all suites so we were overjoyed to stay here. The living space is so large and welcoming and we enjoyed cooking almost every meal here. We spent every evening in the pool and on the lanai with drinks and the grill. We spent quite a bit of time at the resort areas private beach and rented paddle boards. The water was so calm and not very deep so we weren’t worried about trying new water sports. We are planning a 2019 stay here and I would highly recommend this home (and Jeff and Suzanne!) to anyone that wants a great home with all the amenities. We will be back soon!

The property was everything that was advertised. The accommodations were above and beyond our expectations. We had a family of nine and had more than enough room for all of us. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the beach club, golf and private swimming pool.
