From the granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms to the beautiful tile flooring to the teak tables and chairs on the lanai, this unit really shines. In both directions there are countless shops, delightful restaurants, bars with live music, a farmers market, historical sites, beaches, and more, all within walking distance of this beautiful condo. From your lanai you can watch tourists walking by as they explore the town, canoe clubs practicing at sunset, cruise ships when they are in town, spinner dolphins in the bay most mornings, humpback whales in the winter, yellow tangs in the water, and athletes competing in the world famous Iron Man Triathlon in October, all without ever leaving your condo. Please note that because the condo is among restaurants and shops, you will hear pedestrians and vehicles through dinner time. Kailua-Kona is a sleepy village, though, and it usually gets quiet after 9:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 PM on weekends. Also please note that like most condos in the Kona Alii building, this unit does not have air conditioning. Some Kona Alii condos do. We do fine in the winter and summer with the usual sea breeze blowing through the condo, ceiling fans in the bedroom and dining room, and the two movable floor fans.
