This is the second time we have stayed at Tranquility Villa. Very comfortable, great location and fully stocked with beach gear. The house is clean and the kitchen is well stocked with the basics you would need throughout the week.

This was an excellent choice for us- spacious, comfortable with great amenities, and everything we needed for our kids too. Our girls loved the pool and the beach club was awesome. It made our lives so much easier to have the basic child gear (high chair, pack n play, baby monitor) included. The guide was very helpful too. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely villa during the last week of August. The property manager was amazing— hustled to accommodate us after our prior rental fell through, was friendly, communicative and professional. The property itself is on an exceptionally pretty lot, surrounded by flowering trees and very private. The unit was very clean, well appointed, had comfortable beds. The garage is filled with beach chairs, toys, bikes, snorkeling gear, everything you might need at the beach. It is located about 1/4 mile from a wonderful grocery market that has a variety of delicious food and necessities. We would stay again in a heartbeat—and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for sharing your wonderful villa with us!

Excellent location with access to private beach club and a black sand beach close by with great snorkeling. The unit is exceptionally clean, well stocked for cooking. The garage has bikes, and all the beach gear one needs. It is very quiet and as title says tranquil.
When we return to Big Island, this will be our first choice to stay

Beautiful property and very convenient location to amenties as well as our other family members. Loved the access to the private beach club and the beach toys and bikes. Cleanliness of the unit was so so. Upon arrival the floor was still full of dirt, food crumbs etc. and living room furniture desparatly needs to be cleaned. Overall though unit was great and communication with property owners and management company was wonderful.

Great space with a perfect location to access the best beaches on the island. The access to the beach club is also a nice perk. The home itself was clean and was fully stocked with all the beach gear you could need. We would definitely stay again!

We had the best time on our visit to the big island. Our stay at this condo in mauna lani was fabulous. It is a very nice place. Two stories and lots of room. We traveled with our 16 month old and he loved playing outside on the grass. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. It was also so great having a beach wagon and beach toys and not having to pack them. Beach club is a 5 minute drive. Pool is walking distance and really nice. Would recommend this place and location to anyone but especially families!

Wonderful stay, only one glitch with freezer/ice maker where we had to buy a bag of ice & luckily there was an extra chest freezer for us to move our frozen food into. The mgmt. company did send a technician out to fix it. Otherwise, lovely time, pretty garden/Mt. View from lower & upper lanais, great BBQ that had no problem getting hot, great beach access to private Mauna Lani Beach Club, great pool & close to awesome Hapuna & Mauna Kea beaches! Saw a huge manta ray at Hapuna one morning. Fabulous snorkeling, we rented from Kohala Diver’s & equipment was great, no leaks, Great pizza at Pueo’s Italian restaurant in Waikoloa Village too! We would for sure stay at Tranquility Villa again!

We loved having access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club! Great place to snorkel. Beautiful clear blue warm ocean water! Loved! Community pool is two buildings down which was perfect walking distance. Need a rental car or golf cart to get to the beach. House is well stocked- nice beach towels, beds were comfortable, washer/dryer were new and worked great. Garage well stocked with snorkel gear, coolers, chairs etc… Life vests are old school buckle jackets, but we brought our kids Costco life vests that zip so that wasn’t an issue. Thought I’d post just in case other people wondered what types were provided. Pots/pans, couches are getting worn/uncomfortable, but they are clean and this wasn’t an issue for us at all and is expected with a rental unit. Outdoor grill is amazing!! Not a whole lot of restaurants nearby ; need to drive to Waikoloa (10 min drive) or Kona (35-40 min drive). You can walk to Fairmont Orchid resort, little Mauna Lani shopping center (pizza place, Tommy Bahama restaurant, small market). We would definitely rent this unit again. We had a wonderful stay.

This is a nice property that is well stocked for Hawaii. Nice location and neighborhood, but it is not walking distance to the beach. I recommend you rent a golf cart as you can easily get around to beach and shops within the resort with a cart. Nice gym and pool area and having access to beach club was critical. Property manager and their process is very organized and communicative. My only negative is they could update the furnishings as they are a little outdated, especially the couch. It is extremely old and uncomfortable. Mattresses are nice and new.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We live on island and was looking for a staycation! Our family loved having unlimited access to the beach club! Foodland was awesome a so close to the complex where this condo is! Attention to detail and amenities overall was awesome! A definite “Hana Hou” for our ‘ohana to visit again!

Bright, comfortable, and well-equipped unit. A perfect size for two couples or a smaller family. Great location very close to Kulalani's fitness center, pool and spa areas. Quiet, lovely setting offering beautiful mountain views of Mauna Kea from the living room, master bedroom, and both patios (upstairs off the master and downstairs off the dining room). We enjoyed leisurely dinners on the L-shaped main patio most nights, using the Viking gas grill, outdoor counter and sink.
Lots of bikes, coolers and beach gear available for renters to use in the single-stall garage, plus we stored our suitcases, golf travel bags and inflatable paddle boards in it. (We parked our rental car outside in one of the six spots nearby.) From start to finish the property's managements team provided clear communication, detailed orientation and prompt responses.
Overall, Tranquility Villa offers great value inside Mauna Lani. (This was our fourth stay of 8-15 days each in a Kulalani property.) We would gladly rent this unit again and heartily recommend it for your consideration.. We were very pleased!

Tranquility Villa is light and airy, with lovely views from the living/dining room and the master bedroom. We were with family who had rented two other townhome-condos, and thought our unit had the best views and the best light of all three units. We loved the location near the pool. We were especially impressed with the access to the Beach Club. Perfect for everyone, with a sandy, calm beach for the young children, and great snorkeling for the older set. We would stay at Tranquility Villa again!

We had a very comfortable stay at Tranquility Villa Kulalani.
The home is nicely decorated and appointed with lots of light and plenty of room.
It was nice to have a BBQ and lanai so that we had the option of enjoying meals outside.
The lanai was private and the surrounding area was very tranquil.
We enjoyed Kulalani with its lovely landscaping and very nice recreation center.
The complex itself is quiet and relaxing.
It is a short drive to the Mauna Lani resort – calm waters and good for kikis.
We were able to walk over to the Fairmont Orchid which is another nice beach with calm waters.
It’s also in close proximity to Waikoloa village, where we really enjoyed Kuleana Rum Works and the Island Gourmet Market.
It’s such an upgrade over staying in a hotel resort. Would recommend.

The villa was very spacious, clean and well stocked. Felt like a home away from home. Enjoyed the assortment of entertainment, especially netflix. The bed linens were very soft and luxurious. Villa is close to foodland, very good poke. Appreciated access to the community beach what a great spot for snorkeling and relaxing in your own cabana. Booking the villa was smooth and effortless, will have to come back next year.

The Tranquility Villa was such a great place to stay! The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable: amenities such as bikes, snorkeling gear, beach towels and chairs, beach umbrella, toys, coolers, etc. The villa is very nice inside and new construction, very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The pools are very nice and so is the gym. The location is perfect! Very close to the grocery store and the beach. The owners are the nicest people, thanks for everything Suzanne and Jeff! We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend the Tranquility Villa to anyone! Ten Stars!

We have stayed in a number of places in Kamilo and this was our first stay in a Kulalani townhouse. It is exactly as the photos appear. The area outside the lanai is especially nice because there is a large lawn area so you have a nice vista to look out toward. It was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Working directly with the owner was smooth and effortless. We hope to return soon.

This was my first experience with VRBO and I do believe the bar has been set rather high. The Tranquility Villa is a beautiful home in the Mauna Lani Resort area and is very well appointed. The location is excellent for visiting the Mauna Lani Beach Club, Mauna Kea Beach, Hapuna Beach, and the Puako Petroglyph Preserve. Others have mentioned the supplies (which are very nice to have on hand) and the garage of toys, snorkel equipment, & bikes. I will add that the community has an excellent gym adjacent to a lovely pool area. The entire space is gorgeous and the owners go above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable vacation.

We loved our stay in your beautiful, clean, resort like home. I'm a neat freak so it was so nice to walk in and see everything looked terrific and just what I like. It's decorated nice and had lots of space to spread out and is supplied with everything you can think of. The community is centrally located to all that the Muana Lani area offers! We loved going to the beach club! It was perfect for my husband (and I ) as he did the Kona 70.3 triathlon. It was a short walk to race shuttle in the morning and obviously super close to the fairmont orchid were the transitions were and the finish! We hope to come back as it was very nice. We've rented from many other VRBO owners but this was the best experience yet. All furnishings and bedding are very comfortable and in like-new condition. That can be a relief after your long flight. An assortment of supplies are provided, like toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, detergents, fabric softeners--even spices, micro-popcorn and olive oils. So nice to have on hand.
Your view is Kohala Mountain, which is lovely and peaceful on clear days. If you have not been to Mauna Lani area before, it is much less frenetic than the Waikaloa Beach area. A Foodland Market is nearby, along with Tommy Bahama Restaurant and other options. You have access to Mauna Lani amenities, golf and restaurants, as well as a fun beach club with a very good restaurant and several other beach areas ... most rocky, but for sunsets, you can take the beach chairs.
Two of the most beautiful, natural white sand beaches in Hawaii, Kauna'oa Bay and Hapuna Beach, are minutes away by car. All beaches in Hawaii are public access, so feel free to drive up to the Mauna Kea Resort or Hapuna Beach Prince and ask for beach access. Parking is limited, so if you go midday or later, choose Hapuna Beach State Park, which has a huge lot.
The condo garage is stocked with equipment for family fun, including bicycles, helmets, beach chairs and more. See the owners' list. You cannot park in the garage, as it is narrow; only the equipment can fit. So, plan to park in front of the condo. Spaces can be iffy over weekends. If all slots are full, you can unload at the sidewalk and park a bit away. Kulalani developers simply did not design well for cars/parking.
The condo pools are steps away, as is a nicely equipped fitness center. Lap swimmers will enjoy the approx. 18-yard lap pool, however, it is all tile and a bit slippery, so water walkers should wear aqua socks. Lanes are marked, but there are no lane lines. The hot tubs are just okay.
Who wants to go all the way to Hawaii and spend all day in the resort hot tub or pools, anyway? There's so much to do on Big Island, and with the improvements to Saddle Road, the time to get to the Hilo and the volcanoes is shorter. The owners' guide book and property manual offer many suggestions, so I won't go into those, except I'll add one for families: Don't miss a Fair Wind snorkeling tour, south of Kona. Pick a clear day before reserving.
If you have a large group, the owners own several other properties in this same area, so book with confidence. Enjoy!

Calm, Relaxing and stress free. The owners are very responsive. Everything you need is here. Grab some food on the way from Kona as that will save you $. Then head to the pool or beach. We will be coming yearly now that we have found this gem.

My wife and I have been to Hawaii over thirty times now and never have we stayed at a better property then Tranquility Villa in Kulalani even considering other five star rated hotels. In other words, we were pleasantly surprised at the furnishings, the amenities, the upkeep, indeed all aspects of this excellent property. Please keep up the great work.

Our stay at tranquility villa could not have been better! The condo was equipped with everything you would need. The snorkel gear, boogie boards, and bikes were great. There was even a pack and play. High chair, baby gate and baby monitor which came in useful for our 18 month old. The pool and exercise facilities at te cindi complex were tip notch. Can't go wrong booking this place!

What an amazing place to stay on the Big Island. Not only was the house amazing (and brand new!) but Jeff & Suzanne had the place stocked with everything we needed.
We travelled with our 6 month old and they had high chair, bouncy chair, pac'n play and baby monitors for her. I love to cook and was so pleased with the kitchen. They have every utensil you can think of for cooking, including a stocked spice pantry and a great bbq. I was so surprised because most vacation rentals have very limited kitchen & supplies. They also had a ton of sports equipment. Bikes, boogie boards, kids beach toys, scuba gear, beach chairs. You name it! Everthing was in great shape. The pool was beautiful, and you also get an access card to a private beach. The place was in a great location close to shops and a couple of beaches. You do need a car though as there's not a lot of touristy things to do in the area but everything is a short drive away. If you're not into sight seeing then you wouldnt need car, although a cab ride to and from the airport was pricey ($70+ each way).
Jeff & Suzanne were amazing and always checked in to make sure we were happy which I really appreciated, and we had a red eye flight out of Hawaii and they allowed us a very late checkout (we left the houe at 7pm).
We are already talking about going back next year, we enjoyed the place so much!

We had a wonderful time at Tranquility Villa! We arrived late the night before Thanksgiving, and everything was exactly as promised. Jeff and Suzanne provided everything our kids needed for the beach, pool, and the bikes were an added bonus that provided hours of fun for our 2 kids. It is a great location, and Jeff and Suzanne have made it better with the condo extras (beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, bikes, etc). Close to pool, close to Fairmont beach, and close to the Mauna Lani marketplace, it is simply a fantastic spot. Jeff checked in on us (via email) to make sure everything was working and as expected, I don't remember the last time I had such a responsive host. Overall a great trip, and we would definitely come back!

My family and I had a really great time on our family staycation this October. Being kamaaina, we try to find values to experience luxury on our own island. This Kulalani vacation was excellent! We felt relaxed throughout our trip and had a great time on the dry side of the island. There were a few issues that needed to be resolved during the course of the trip (initial entry, bbq grill issues) but Jeff and Suzanne were quick and responsive to our needs. Overall, it was a great trip and we would consider coming back.

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay in the Tranquility Villa! This condo was perfect for our family of 3 for a one week stay. The condo is well appointed and had everything we needed. The bikes in the garage were perfect for us to get to the Fairmont or the beach. The owners were extremely gracious in getting it set up for us and answering all our questions. Kulalani is quiet and was perfect for us!

Kualani is a hidden gem in Mauna Lanii and renting from Jeff & Susan made it even more special. We had a short visit but this was the perfect place for some much needed R&R. We were well taken care of and the house was well equipped so we just had to show up.
