This 2 BR 2 bath second floor luxury condominium is located in The Uplands of the Mauna Kea Resort and is accessed through the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort entrance drive, but is recessed from the bustle of the hotels. The condo’s Great Room, lanai, and master bedroom all overlook the 4th fairway of the Westin Hapuna Beach Golf Course and have amazing, expansive, unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean.

- Located 30 minutes from Kona International Airport (KOA). There are many upscale restaurants and shops either on the resort grounds or within a short drive
- Rental includes the option to purchase an amenity package pass to the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna Beach resorts. This pass allows access for your group to the resort swimming pools and to their amazing white sand beaches, with complementary towels, chairs, and umbrellas (rental of cabanas and some beach equipment is available for a fee). The pass includes the use of the resort fitness center including lockers and showers, and gated parking at the hotels and fitness centers. Amenity package holders are allowed special guest rates at the resort golf courses and at the Mauna Kea Tennis Club. A resort charging privilege account is set up for these pass holders that allows signing privileges throughout the resorts during the stay.
Please note that the property owners have purchased a subscription for this amenity package so that guests have the option buy a guest pass and use the resorts if desired. The package is separate from the VRBO condo rental. It is arranged with the resort ahead of arrival at the condo. The package fee is a daily fee per condo, regardless of the number of guests, for the length of the stay, up to 20 days. After that there is a flat per stay fee for designated periods. Note all fees are plus tax. Guests without the amenity package can visit the shops and restaurants at the resorts and pay full price for the golf, etc. Be aware that all beaches on the island are public and free with limited parking.
The Mauna Kea Resort will undergo renovation beginning about 4/15/2024, likely through the end of 2024. Much of that will involve the rooms and suites, but the MK golf course will close during that period. The Manta Restaraunt will close for a period. Other details and specifics are not yet available. The Mauna Kea pool and beach with its amenites will remain open and all the amenities at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort will be available.

This condo is terrific!! Very clean, large rooms, nice bathrooms, gorgeous lanai with perfect panoramic views of of the ocean! Online photos don’t do it Justice! Be sure to buy the amenities package so you have full use of the Westin and Mauna Kea pools, beaches, etc. Worth the extra money! We’ll be back, for sure!

Outstanding ocean and sunset views. This is a luxury condo in the Mauna Kea Resort Residences. Clean, spacious, well appointed and stocked with necessities. Great WiFi. With the resort amenities package, we had access to both Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach resorts on the two best beaches in Hawaii! Perfect Hawaiian holiday!

A lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath condo. Top floor on Mauna Kea property with availability for rights to the best beaches (Mauna Kea and Hapuna) and hotel amenities. Couldn’t ask for a more helpful condo manager. And the most gorgeous sunsets. Manta rays at beach, ready to snorkel with or just watch at night. So much to do. It was nice coming back to a quiet place with 5 star amenities.

We stayed at this property in January of 2023 and what a great experience. Everything was really clean and well appointed. There was a small issue with the AC and the manager jumped on it right away and even followed up a couple times to make sure we were comfortable and happy. VERY rare in our experience. Thanks for making our time on the island first class!

We had a wonderful stay at this property from the end of Feb to beginning of March 2023.
The condo was spotless, super clean. You can tell the owners are proud of their condo and keep it in pristine condition. We found it well equipped from coffee, tea, cooking spices and more. It is spacious and beautifully decorated from the wall decor to the furniture and linens. Very comfortable sofa and bed.
Wake up, to your choice.. of a Keurig, a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Walk out to the wrap around lanai and lounge on the comfortable outdoor furniture and take in the gorgeous views. We recommend, you make sure you are back at the condo before sunset so that you can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of the lanai.

The photos don’t do this property justice. The interior is tastefully decorated and furnished with many thoughtful touches and supplies. The highlight of the unit is the expansive view of the ocean and sunset and the breathtaking view of the southern night sky.
Our only suggestion (that would put this completely over the top) would be to furnish the lanai with a counter height table and chairs instead of the normal height patio furniture. It’s frustrating to sit down to enjoy the sunset only to have the top of the railing block the view of the horizon!

We just returned from our 3rd stay at Kumulani B4 in the last 6 years. We had another wonderful stay. You cannot go wrong by staying here. The unit is clean, quiet and well appointed. The view of the sunset is amazing. The condo is nicely updated since our last stay with wood floors and new appliances. We used the amenity package to enjoy the great amenities at the Hapuna(also nicely updated) and Mauna Kea resorts. The island was really busy this summer so it was nice to just eat our meals at the condo and not have to worry about finding reservations for dinner. We love Kumulani B4 and we will be back soon.

This property is immaculate and absolutely over the top well equipped and stocked. There was salt, pepper, condiments, some spices - just really helpful items on hand at this condo to make it more like home for your stay. Dish soap, trash bags, zip lock bags, tin foil. Not sure if they are always there, but when I stay here again, I will most definitely check to see what is on hand before heading for the market. Bob, the property manager is terrific. We were just about out of propane for the BBQ grill one night and he showed up first thing the next morning with a full canister. We highly recommend this property!

While our some friends were down at the Mauna Kea, we opted for a condo. More room, majestic views, less ambient noise (I.e. screaming children). You’ve got to rent a car. Cabs in short supply.
