This is an excellent property to rent!! It was the perfect size for my husband and our two adult daughters. It was clean, beautifully decorated and the location is perfect.
The views are amazing! From the deck, we could see tortoises swimming in the ocean!
We would most definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. You can sit on the lanai and see whales breaching everywhere. Almost impossible to take a picture without a whale in it during whale season. You can also see sea turtles from the lanai. Condo itself is stocked with everything you need and a grocery store is right across the street. Beach out front is beautiful and the pool was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about our stay!!

We had a wonderful stay in Maui! The condo was very spacious and had a phenomenal view (we could watch the turtles from above). Perfect place for our family of 4. The resort has a very nice pool and you can access a great beach just downstairs. We would definitely stay again.

This condo is wonderful! The view from the lanai and living room windows is jaw-dropping gorgeous. We loved watching the turtles out the window every day with the binoculars that the hosts have in the condo. We also really appreciated the nice collection of boogie boards to choose from. Greats hosts, great accommodations and great location. Very highly recommended!

There is no question about staying here. It is the first place I will check for future trips. I definitely want to stay here again. The pictures are spot on accurate. It is every bit as nice of a place, and incredible of a view as you see. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for the family for the week. There is a ton of beach and play equipment there, they even provide the cooler and ice packs if you want to have a beach picnic. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Probably the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed at. We were blown away with the views. and the balcony was my wifes favorite thing and spot. The views of the ocean, turtles down below, and the sunsets from that balcony are incredible. The 2nd bedroom worked perfectly for our kids to share, and the entire property is very very nice. If you don't want to cook dinner or deal with going out to eat, there is a large food truck pavillion just up the driveway you can walk to in the evenings. Everything you may want to do in West Maui is right down the road.

This condo was all we were asking for (and more) for our family trip to Maui. The pictures are exactly what you'll find when you step into this corner unit. For starters, the resort is a quiet, well-maintained property. It is perfect for those who want to be a bit secluded, but also want to be near the west Maui action. The unit itself had everything we needed. It was clean and bright. There was plenty of supplies for our week stay. A closet was filled with beach supplies. The owners were attentive and quick to reply if something came up. I would most definitely recommend this condo for your next Maui visit!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Bill and Dondi's condo by the sea! The photos really don't do it justice - the view is spectacular and the place is larger than we expected.
The condo is situated near many other large resorts that were very crowded during Spring Break, but the Mahana was much more quiet and not crowded at all. The pool and hot tub are very nice and you're just a short walk away from some very nice swimming beaches. Services like the food truck area and the grocery store are within walking distance too.
Bill and Dondi were great hosts. We hope to return to this place some day!

I was concerned being such a large complex that it would be noisy. It wasn't at all. Very quiet and lovely. Pool was never crowded. The beach right in front wasn't good but walk to the left or to the right a bit, and it was great. Condo was clean and spacious enough for a family of 4. Loved having the beach chairs and boogie boards there for us. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Overall it was a beautiful stay and excellent location!
Two items we had to work thru; air conditioning blows towards the bed and can be cool when sleeping a blanket offering would be helpful. The tv’s are challenging to get to work on local cable channels. We spoke with the owners and they were very helpful, we also had the maintenance people come up to reprogram along with calling the cable company. However, when tv was shut off everything would reset and would not work the next time you turn tv on.

The unit had exceptional views. We felt it was worth every dollar spent, thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our 1 year old. Was a bit nervous about how the unit would look in person vs how beautiful it looked in pictures and I can tell you it was every bit a true depiction. I had issues with wifi but that is the only complaint I had. Would go back if I got a chance.

We loved our 5-day stay at Bill + Dondi's property at the Mahana Kaanapali. I am traveling with my husband and adult daughter and celebrating a milestone birthday, so having a place right on the ocean was important (wanted to hear the waves crashing and wakeup to the ocean view!). The photos are spot on and because you are on the 11th floor, you have the feeling of having the same view as one would have on a cruise ship! We ate all of our meals on the balcony and enjoyed our daily turtle sightings and evening sunsets - just magical. The beds are super comfy, kitchen has all of the supplies/utensils necessary (we ate in most nights), and loved that we had beach toys (chairs/umbrellas, etc.) to use. One word of warning is there really is no sandy beach in front of the condo and swimming is not recommended due to the coral reefs. But you are just a walk away from the Kaanapali walkway, which we took advantage of every day for our morning walks! Recommend grocery shopping at Times Supermarket and dining one evening at the Food Trucks right across the street. Heads up there is some construction going on in the other building from 7:30-3:30, which you can hear a little (condo is at the complete opposite from the construction), so just plan your day accordingly. Communication with Bill + Dondi was excellent! Highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit!

Excellent condo with amazing views. The layout of this place was perfect for our family of four. It was well equipped and comfortable. We could see turtles, sting ray pods and gorgeous sunsets from the lanai and living room. My one suggestion would be a light or even electric lantern for the deck because it is pitch black out there once the sun goes down. We just sat outside anyways to enjoy the sound of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. The owners were pleasant and communicative and gave us clear, helpful instructions to make check in and out a breeze.

Due to COVID the check in process was difficult and the host wasn’t as helpful as expected. I was actually very disappointed in the lack of direct communication from the host. However, the views at the condo are beautiful. This condo and the area is a good option for a couple looking for a place to relax.

The views are breath taking! Watching the sunrise from one of the bedrooms and the sunset over the water in the other bedroom. The water views and seeing the turtles below near the shoreline was amazing! They had everything we needed-beach chairs, umbrella, boards, etc. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash as that is not provided or you can walk across the street to the local market. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which was convenient (bring detergent). I loved this place and the owners are very prompt & responsive. Thank you!!!

My family of 4 had an amazing Maui vacation and this condo was our home base. It came well appointed with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves - whether we were staying on the property or heading out for adventure. The hosts are very communicative and pleasant. The location provides easy access to all manner of Maui activities as well as grocery & restaurants. If you are looking for a west Maui vacation home base, look no further!

This property is just as pictured. The views from the floor to ceiling windows and Lani are breathtaking! We saw multiple whales each morning from the windows in addition to beautiful rainbows daily and sea turtles swimming in the water just below! Perfect views!! The beds are comfortable, the space was clean and just the right size for our family of four. We loved it so much, we stayed an additional week! We will be back!

We have been to Maui many times and stayed in many wonderful places including the Westin and Honua kai right next door. I have to say, this was easily the best views we've every had. Bill and Dondi's condo was also a little more spacious than any of the others. We always travel with our dear friends and require two master suites. The condo was perfect for us. We went in late February through early March to watch whales. With binoculars, we could see whale activity every day, all day long from the condo. Also, and most important, Bill and Dondi were very easy to contact and work with. They are very nice people. We do hope to come back soon.

We had been staying at the Kaanapali Beach Club the last several years, but the game with pre-reserving lounge chairs got to us, so we decided to check out the Mahana. We rented 1109 for 9 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The condo was spotless and very well appointed. It is just inches from the ocean and above the palm trees, so the views are excellent.
There are many wonderful amenities such as a washer/dryer, binnoculars, full kitchen, and more. The artwork is very elegant and natural as well. We were very comfortable. The master bedroom is also right on the ocean.
The grounds at the Mahana are very nice, and it's very quiet there. The people were friendly. Although the hot tub was under repair a few days, we still enjoyed having loungers right near the ocean and there was no shortage of lounge chairs. The sun doesn't come around until very late morning, so there was a little juggling with moving around.
There were just two of us, but this unit would be comfortable for four people with separate bathrooms.
It's a great location and the lanai is very private. We felt like we had our own little piece of Kaanapali.

It looks just like the pictures (spectacular)--and even the second bedroom has a gorgeous view of the Maui hills. Excellent use of space, plenty of dishes and glassware (that match!), comfortable bedding and seating. Pool is small, but uncrowded, with pleasant seating and adequate shade; a fantastic beach starts at the south end of the property, and there's good snorkeling about a 15 minute stroll down the boardwalk. Perfect location with quick access to options for dining out without struggling through Lahaina traffic at "rush hour". I don't know how anybody could rate this place anything but 5 stars (and almost nobody does).

We reserved this beautiful unit Dec 16-23rd. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic property. Your instructions for check in, codes, and check out procedures were very clear and were seamless. We have previously stayed in 2 other units in the Mahana so we were familiar with many of the details but if you were a first time guest, the communication would make the process so much more relaxing.
Everything in the unit was in perfect working order and great condition. We were so happy to find a nice beach towels, chairs, a cooler, and the boogie boards in the unit for use.
As always, the views from the Mahana can’t be beat. The views from your unit cannot be matched or compared to the other units we have stayed in. The ocean views from the kitchen, living, and master bedroom and the mountains from the 2nd bedroom are fantastic.
The unit was clean when we arrived and stocked with a broom, small vacuum, and a good supply of trash bags and dish soap. I truly appreciated the good supply of towels, washcloths, hand towels, and kitchen towels.
Thanks again for the smooth transaction and the use of your beautiful unit. If we are blessed enough to return to Maui, I would not hesitate to do another transaction with the owners or stay in this unit again.

Just arrived back in NZ from a fantastic holiday in Maui staying at Bill and Dondis apartment at The Mahama. We took our two adult sons with us as we had stayed in Maui a few years earlier and knew they would enjoy it! The apartment was amazing - everything was absolutely spotless. There are plenty of extra necessities provided in the kitchen area and an array of boogy boards and chairs etc for use on the beach. The views were to die for and there was plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings. The facility has a pool and spa which isnt crowded unlike alot of resorts nearby, There are good beaches on either side of the Mahama which are only a short walk away - however because there is a reef directly in front of the Mahama - this is great for snorkeling. Dukes restaurant is only a short walk away and across the road there is a great supermarket and takeaway restaurants. You can even purchase movies at the supermarket which came in handy on a couple of nights.
I would totally recommend this condo for a family or two couples - in perfect surroundings and close to all facilities. A big thanks to Bill and Dondi for a great condo!

Wow. As wonderful as they are, the pictures don't even do this place justice. The views from Bill and Dondi's condo on the 11th floor are out of this world. We spotted sea turtles from the balcony on a daily basis, watched the sunset, and even were lucky enough to swim in the ocean with Dolphins on the final day of our stay.
The condo was prepared impeccably, with more than enough towels and even a fair amount of kitchen basics. Bill and Dondi were communicative up until our stay, during which there was no need for contact since everything was pretty much perfect. Check in and check out were a breeze, too.
If you're looking for a memorable island stay in an ideal location that leaves nothing to want, this is the place.

What an amazing condo! We travelled with our two young adult kids and this condo was perfect! Upon entry you are met with a glorious view and it was fun to see turtles swim below, dolphins jumping, schools of fish as well as lots of boating, etc. You can't get closer to the water than in this condo! Lots of space inside and the twin beds in the second bedroom were perfect. Kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, appliances required. Location is close to everything - great beaches, boardwalk, supermarket. Although we did not use it, the pool was bigger and better than I imagined from the photos. We did enjoy the grass area out front as well - nice quiet place to sit under the palms when we wanted a bit of shade or a nap. Parking was easy - right out front and quick in and out. We only needed to rent a couple of beach umbrellas and a fourth beach chair - everything else was there! Thanks and we definitely hope to return one day!

We rented this condo with another couple. It was a great experience; the views were spectacular. We spotted whales everyday from the lanai. The unit was both tastefully decorated and spotless, and the beds were comfortable. The television reception and wi fi were more than adequate for our needs. The elevators were fast, and all the other amenities of the facility were up to par, including very friendly and helpful staff.
The Mahana is close to Duke's for a dinner you can walk to, and a five minute car ride to a small shopping plaza that hosts a supermarket and other casual spots to eat. Its proximity to Lahania is also convenient. For those who want a beach without any coral, who drove about 5 miles up the road to DT Fleming beach- a public beach that had areas for surfers and swimmers.
