Our stay was incredible. Marianne and Jeanette’s place is wonderful even after a long day on the beach or exploring Maui. The view is truly something special in the morning and especially in the evening! Not only is the place unreal, the hosts are very personable and kind. We loved this property! Far enough away from the busy Kihei area to not feel overloaded but close enough to just jump in the car to grab something to eat. We loved the view from the balcony and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves every night. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, and we appreciated the beach chairs and coolers for our use. We didn't really use the pool much, but it was a nice size and offered great views as well. We didn't use the second bedroom because it was just my husband and me, but I could see this unit being perfect for a family with kids. Overall, we loved staying in this unit and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Only two issues were no air conditioner (trade winds weren’t blowing like we hoped) and the door was really sticky! It was hard to close without making a fuss.

We have 6 and 7 year old boys who, until now, had never been in the ocean. Because of the breakwater for the Green Turtle Sanctuary they were able to play in the water without huge waves! This is a terrific selling point for your property. On the downside, there was no A/C in the unit; the pregnant lady in our group had a hard time with this. Perhaps consider putting some in… other than that, the W/D in the unit was wonderful. The view, great!! We would definitely come again!!

The condo was amazing! It was very comfortable and honestly bigger than I expected. Both the bedrooms are bigger than I expected. I’m from Alabama and we LOVE AC. This condo doesn’t have AC, but honestly wasn’t too bad. If you leave the windows and doors open, there is almost alway a breeze. The fans were a nice added touch. The kitchen has just about everything that you can think of, if you want to save money and cook some meals. The beach towels, chairs and snorkeling gear was so nice to have! Marianne has just about everything you can think of! She was always kind and very responsive. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your condo :)

Absolutely loved this property and unit! Was in a quieter side of Kihei which I also loved. We rented a car and drove to different restaurants and beaches but wouldn’t have wanted to stay down in the busy areas so this was perfect! Fell asleep to the ocean every night and watched the sunrise from the lanai every morning! Unit was equipped with everything you could need and plenty of everything! Owner was super nice and very responsive to any questions I had before coming. I had no problems while we were there. I would for sure stay here again. It was super hard to leave. Also no ac wasn’t a problem for us at all. Doors and windows open and the ocean breeze was perfect and it was in the high 90s pushing 100 every day we were there. Pool was nice and quiet and view from the roof was beautiful! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home! I miss it already!

My family of 5 stayed here and had a great time! We had a little problem with the door and were unable to get in on the 4th of July at approx 9pm. The only number I had was to the owner, who answer promptly and sent a handyman post haste. He fixed the problem within 5 minutes and we were in! Great people associated with this place - all around! Thank you!!!

It's hard to express how quickly this condo became our very comfortable home away from home on our week in Maui. Despite summer temperatures in the high 80s, its east-facing outlook and the help of afternoon trade winds kept us cool. The lanai is the perfect place to greet the morning, the kitchen is very well equipped for meal prep, and having two baths helped us get along well. We had space to gather and space to retreat. Menehune Shore is a beautiful and well-run complex and stayed remarkably quiet if you don't count the myna birds. Low-key and pleasant place to stay! We would return in a heart-beat.

Affordable condo on the beach. Was built in the 80’s; nice kitchen and supplies. Wish there was AC in the unit. Has 4 chairs to sit on, on the balcony; this is the best place to have a morning coffee! Condo has beach chairs and beach towels to borrow as well! That was a nice bonus!

Family of 5, excellent location and facilities. Condo had everything we needed and more. Owner was great to deal with and even let us stay through check-out day as our flight was that night. No AC, but not needed as trade winds and fans were great. Would not hesitiate to stay there again and in fact, would try to book this exact condo. Thank you for helping to make our vacation into memories of a lifetime.

Great apartment with a central location. Ocean view, beach front, spacious 2 bedroom, shaded lanai, beach chairs are the highlights.
Marianne was also great at communicating all the details to check in which all went smoothly.
The only problem we had was with pests. This is something that Marianne confirmed will be addressed upon our departure with the cleaning company.

This condo was perfect for our trip to Maui. Location made it convenient to get just about anywhere on the island. Who doesn't love walking out the door onto the beach. Having the turtles just around the corner was a great surprise. The comfort of the authentic "beach house" was great. We loved sitting on the lanai to watch the sunset. Owners were fantastically responsive with the minor items we encountered and nothing impeded our enjoyment. If you want a prime location for your stay - highly recommended! The pool was bathtub warm, beach was a bit rocky, but with tough feet or water shoes, still great for swimming. Thank you for sharing your family's home with strangers! (Although we feel like we know you now. How are the chickens doing? Lol)

I would stay here again!
There are a lot of great things about this property including the spacious nature of it. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living/dining area and balcony. There protected swimming area out front is perfect for children and just North is a very nice beach with calmer waters - though we didn't spend time here I can't say for sure if it's rocky or not. There are turtles out front, a nice swimming pool and an excellent Indian restaurant right on property. The manicured grounds and clean common areas are perfect.
The unit is clean though it is dated in the kitchen and bathrooms with time starting to show in the usual spots. It's a tropical location so you have to be okay with the odd unsavoury bug in the kitchen, though don't let this sway you. A few items could use some updating though I suspect once the owners have a chance to check things through they'll be updated (e.g. beach chairs have seen better days).
The location is ok, though you'd definitely need a vehicle. Walking during the day would be okay, but there is a lack of sidewalks so walking in the evening is a bit sketchy, and most things are a few miles away. There's ample parking (included) so this isn't an issue - unless you don't drive.
All in all, this is a great family unit with everything and more than you could need, or you can rent things like snorkels and boogie boards from Boss Frogs for very reasonable weekly rates.
If you're considering the Menehuna Shores, book it. You'll be happy.

Loved the place. We stayed here two weeks and had a great time. The unit was clean, centrally located on the island and had a fantastic view. The pond had snorkeling on the inside wall and was easy to view turtles that hung out there. The owners were kind enough to let us have a later check out time which made it way more convenient with our five month old grand daughter.

Very clean, great location, well stocked unit, everything works well. We rented 2 units the same week and this was by far a much better deal in terms of being clean and furniture more updated and a much better price. Marianne is very responsive, we contacted her (by mistake and replied in minutes- the call was meant for the other unit that had multiple issues). the upkeeping of the entire Condominium is very good. Elevators, grills and grounds are in great condition. this is a mid 70's complex. the only opportunity to be better that we noticed is to add air conditioning ( some units are retrofitted) The price and the value are great.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Menehune Shores #520. The condo had everything we needed to cook and plenty of chairs, toys, umbrellas for the beach. We used the BBQs on the roof top many times and enjoyed the amazing view of both the ocean and the mountains. We took long walks along the beach in both directions. The best part was hanging out on the lanai and watching the wales as the sun set. Marianne was wonderful with communications and the check in/out was easy. We have been to Maui a few times but this condo goes down as our all time favorite. Our tips: Maui Ocean Rentals owned by Scotty is a top notch Kayak guide with years of experience. He took us whale watching and it was truly an incredible adventure as a mom, her baby played and their escort whale breached right in front of us. We also went to Molokini on Calypso and as always, the Old Lahaina Luau. Thank you Marianne for sharing your family condo with ours and being able to show pictures to my Uncle and Aunt who were the original owners of this unit in the mid 1970s.

Pros - This was the best property manager I have every dealt with. You could contact her with any questions. The view from the balcony is beautiful to sit and eat. The power had gone out from a storm and thank goodness there was a charged lantern and flashlights for us to use. The kitchen was fully stocked to be able to cook meals and this place was centrally located, so it made it easy to travel to all the places to see on the island. This place had everything you need to go hang out at the beach.
Cons – No TVs in the bedrooms and no AC unit so the rooms got stuffy.

It was really a great place to stay! 5th floor, not far from the elevator, but still quiet. Rooftop was amazing for views and nightcaps. We will absolutely return here!! I would just suggest bringing your own speaker if you want to listen to your own music on something other than headphones.

The place looks just like the pictures. Amazing views of the ocean and a great spot in Kehei. This area is more laid back than some of the other tourist areas. Loved it! Saw turtles right outside in the ocean from the balcony. Beautiful sunsets every night. The pool was great to be in when the wind picked up around 11:00am and the ocean wasn't as inviting. We snorkel right outside the condo. Probably saw atleast 5-10 turtles. I would come back in a heart beat! It is very close to restaurants, snorkeling and shopping.

We were refused entry into Hawaii because our negative Covid tests were not from a testing center accepted by the Hawaiian government (PSA check the list often, it changes!). So unfortunately, we never actually got to see or enjoy this amazing condo, but I wish I could give 10 stars to the owners, Marianne and Jeanette.
I emailed Marianne multiple times prior to our trip and all our questions were answered promptly and thoroughly, Marianne put my mind at ease on more than one occasion and when I asked about one of the reviewers complaining about the queen bed, she ordered a new one!
As soon as I reached about to Marianne about our situation at the airport, she was so sympathetic and gave us suggestions on her favorite spots in California to salvage our trip, issued us a refund that same day and called VRBO on our behalf to have the fees refunded!
The pain of spending 26+ hours flying to and from OGG is going to take a while to pass but I will not give up my dream of going to Hawaii and Marianne and Jeanette are my first call!!
Thank you both for everything, your kindness will never be forgotten.

My family loved the property! The communication between the manager and us was great and Marianne let us know, with plenty of time, how to get into the property and the important things we needed to be aware of. The property was equipped with almost everything the tenants would need. Kitchen had a good supply of tools and seasonings; we only had to get cooking oil from the supermarket nearby. The condo also came with plenty of boogie boards and coolers and beach chairs for fun time on the beach! The condo roof offered great views of the coast and photo ops during sunset/sunrise.
The condo was very clean and stashed with extra pillows, blankets, and linens if needed. The washer and dryer were such great appliances to have so we can always have clean clothes and towels! The condo was also located in a convenient location where a major supermarket was only less than 8 mins drive away. Kihei is a good place to stay at as it is at the middle of the southern coastline.
The only negative remark I would make is the TV remote did not work (though we didn't have much time for TV anyway) and the dryer had excess amount of lint build-up. The condo pool was under repair during our stay...but we wanted to play in the ocean so we didn't care. Overall, it was a great experience and would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The hosts were very responsive and the condo is stocked very well with everything you could need. Lots of towels, beachgear and kitchen items. There is a beautiful view of the beach and ocean off the deck. The location is a bit of a walk (30 minutes) to restaurants/shopping but we enjoyed walking the beach route and then neighborhoods. If you have a car it is a short 10 minute drive to restaurants, grocery/drug store , shopping and just about anything you need. There is a Paia's Fish Market restaurant as well.
There is a beautiful rocked in bay in the back part of the hotel with a lot of turtles (not many fish to see when snorkeling though) and a nice, smooth beach. It's a great place to paddle/skim board and kayak. We found a great place named, Bring Me a Kayak, who were very nice and would deliver a kayak and paddle boards for the week. We were disappointed to find out we couldn't lock up or store rentals for the week on this property because the property manager doesn't allow it. Bring Me a Kayak refunded our money and gave us another good recommendation at Mana Kai Maui Resort, Surf Shack. They open at 7:30 and had lots of availability w/good rates and very friendly service.
The hosts were friendly and worked with us regarding our departure time which made the final day stress free. Thank you so much!
