Nice place and view. On the small side but perfect for small families. Great pool and condo was well equipped. Only thing I could complain about was the parking spot. Bushes made it difficult to get in and out of car and I don't know why they are even there. But overall we enjoyed the condo and would recommend it

Overall a great experience. The Keauhou Kona Surf is an incredible place at a very good location about 10 minutes south of the heart of Kona. The location provides a good balance of proximity to restaurants and grocery stores but still being far enough away from the busy areas where you get the calm Hawaii ambiance away from the touristy crowded areas. The beautiful grounds are well manicured, parking is convenient (although the parking stalls are very tight), and the tennis courts and a ping pong table provide extra amenities not available at most resorts/condos on the BI. The unit is very nicely furnished, has excellent air conditioning, comfortable living room and bedrooms, and a very practical kitchen with an ocean view. However, there is no dining table in the inside space. Although the table setup on the lanai is nice, we don't always want to eat outdoors. The upstairs floorplan is also a bit unusual. We recognize the space is a bit constrained by the size of the building, but not having a true master bathroom connected to the master bedroom is also not ideal when you're on vacation. The 2-story layout provides great views from the master bedroom, but makes the floorplan of the overall unit a bit inconvenient. Although the unit was cleaned well, the owners should offer at least 1 or 2 mid-stay cleanings for longer stays.

Absolutely gorgeous, well appointed condo with excellent amenities and location. It was perfect for our family of 4 (parents & 2 teenagers). The "kids' room" was a comfortable size and having 2 full bathrooms was perfect. It is clear that the owners thought of everything from the hose and mat to rinse feet on the lanai to the spice/cooking cupboard, to the pots/pans, to the beach chairs and coolers. Fantastic breezes, comfortable furniture, great WiFi, easy to cook in kitchen, and generally quiet location/complex. Master bed was comfortable; bedroom furniture was all solidly constructed (nothing from Target or Ikea). Sheets were good quality.Everything was so clean -- exactly as pictured. Our only issues really had nothing to do with the care and attention the owners have put into their gorgeous condo -- the TV remote was buggy and we had some issues with the dishwasher (totally a Knudson issue).We will be back for sure!!

Huggo's on the Rocks is fun, but hard to get into later in the day. Making reservations using Open Table worked well for us.We'd absolutely love to return here and even stay longer. We had an absolute fabulous time. Cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay at the condo. It surpassed our expectations!! Cannot describe the feeling of listening to the ocean 24 hours a day!!! The ocean was right in our back yard and we enjoyed a sunset every evening from our lanai. We will definitely be back. Whole complex was well maintained, beautiful, pool clean, and loved all the Christmas decorations as well!! There was nothing we needed as supplies for beach to self care were provided. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! The ocean views again were MAGNIFICENT!

This condo is light and airy and right on the ocean. The only trouble was with the freezer. When making ice it dropped the 6 cubes all together instead of individually and all the ice seemed to be melted a bit like the freezer door seal wasn't shutting properly.

This place was awesome and love location. Was little upset when the couch was chained and locked so you could not pull out sofa bed. We had someone come down with covid and needed to isolate them. So we needed another place for someone to sleep. I found that really also had no extra blankets or pillows. The place looks a lot bigger then it is but has a cool beach with turtles every morning. We rented another place in the same resort that had chairs, umbrella, ice chest, and much more. It was missing all of that. They have a wagon and a few beach towels.

As I write this, I just learned the complex suffered damage due to Hurricane Darby remnants, we hope everything and everyone is / will be okay.I would highly recommend Knutson & Associates and this unit. The condo was better appointed than most we have stayed in. The beach could not have been enjoyed w/o the umbrella and chairs (due to a medical condition); the fact that these items and a cooler were provided was one of the best aspects of the condo for us.The kitchen is extremely well stocked (lots of spices, pots, dishes, appliances, kitchen tools including those needed for the outside BBQ's), we like to cook and this unit really felt like home. I was a bit concerned about the dining room being outside, but that concern evaporated on the first day. Sitting outside was wonderful, the lanai is enclosed on three sides, never got too hot, and the resident geckos were so entertaining (the same four hung out with us the whole week and we began to realize they each have their own distinct personality).The unit was extremely clean, and the air conditioner worked great, we were very comfortable. The unit is obviously well cared for and very thoughtfully appointed.The property manager was one of the most helpful I've ever worked with and although I think (hope!) we were low maintenance, a couple of minor issues were attended to right away. Having a washing machine was great, and allowed us to not have to check luggage.The complex is quiet with a nice beach next door (partial sand partial volcanic rock, not swimmable). The pool is wonderful, and well maintained and clean. Very close to Kona, and we really enjoyed our two day trips to Hilo (waterfalls) / Mauna Kea on the Saddle, and Volcano National Park. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We had an absolutely delightful vacation.

This condo is absolutely amazing, a total hidden gem! I thought the view of the ocean was nice from the pictures but in reality it is a million dollar view, I felt like we truly stumbled upon a treasure!!! The condo is clean, cute and nicely updated and taken care of, and of course the view is a million dollar view. The beds are So very comfortable, I am wondering what kind of mattress it is as I’d like to buy one. The property management company was great and easily reachable. This vacation was with my adult daughter and the condo was just the right size:) The beach was great and steps away - we explored the tide pools when the tide was out, it was so much fun, and there was even a hose right next to the front door to hose off the small rocks and sand from the beach. Again, I can’t say how much of a gem this condo is, and the View!!! A million dollar view - it really made our vacation so very special!!!

Please someone tell me who makes that bed!. I especially appreciated how it clean it was. Usually i have to spend several hours upon arrival cleaning a condo so i can tolerate it ex. usually floors make your bare feet black but here the floors were sparkling clean, thank you! the location is perfect, quiet, well maintained, the little rocky beach is a great place to check out tide pools but do not swim here. Signs posted dangerous currents. I agree with another review, the ocean is so loud you have to sleep with the windows closed in the main bedroom.I appreciated the little touches like, all the labels telling you how to operate lights, fans ac, having ac, the half curtains to put up at night for privacy etc. the pool here is fabulous, no hot tub. If you play tennis, nice courts. If you want to party and be in the center of the action this is not right for you. If you want quiet, calm retreat atmosphere in an out of the tourist hub location, then this is perfect. It was just perfect for me and i hope to stay here again. BTW, very nice job on the remodel. We stayed at this townhouse for eight nights in December 2021 and it was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. The unit had been recently renovated and was stunning. The townhouse itself was spotless and extremely well organized and equipped. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and more - really set up to entertain from. We ate all of our meals outside on the lanai watching the amazing ocean view and enjoying the local geckos. The beds were comfortable and having two full bathrooms was a plus when travelling with teenagers. The unit came equipped with everything we needed to enjoy the island, from beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, tennis racquets, table tennis supplies, pool noodles, and more. The in-suite laundry was so handy. Did I mention the view? Just wow. The resort itself is in a great location, with easy access to snorkeling, shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater. The location made for easy day trips north or south of the island. We were frequent users of the resort's pool which was never crowded. The resort also had many barbecue stations available throughout the property. The resort was decorated for Christmas with decorated Christmas trees throughout the property and lights, which made it feel like Christmas.We would highly recommend this townhouse and look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful, fun, and very relaxing time here. The townhouse is just as pictured in the photos - we had everything we needed, and we appreciated the book full of clear instructions for the appliances in the unit, the rules of the property, and places to visit while on the island as well as suggested dining spots. The beds were very, very comfortable. We absolutely loved listening to the sounds of the ocean and waking each morning to see the yellow tangs swimming in the surf from our bedroom window!! Our favorite snorkeling beach is just moments away, and the beach right out back is the best place settle in the sand with your toes in the water and watch the sunset. Communication with the host was great! We would definitely stay here again when we come to the Big Island! It was lovely!! Mahalo nui loa!!!

We had an amazing Thanksgiving '21 week stay in this unit right on the beach in Keauhou. The unit is as described in the listing and we had no issues with anything in the unit. The management company was very responsive and all details on check in and access were provided on time. The unit is so close to the beach that you likely will have to close the windows in the main bedroom to get to sleep (we found that out the first night!). We went snorkeling straight out from the beach in front of the unit and the beach has few visitors other than those staying in the units. You can walk to Kahalu'u beach park which has a larger reef protected snorkeling area and also a decent break for surfing (a board rental place is adjacent to that break). The Hele Bus Trolley stop is also at Kahalu'u Beach so you can get away without a rental car (we only got one for 3 days of our time there) and still get to downtown Kailua-Kona and other stops along the way. The Keauhou Shopping Center is a short walk up a slight hill from the units and we enjoyed Tropics Tap House for good local brews and food. We used the pool, tennis courts, and ping pong table as much as we wanted. There were no onerous covid restrictions that restricted us from doing those activities. I highly recommend this gem in Keauhou for a family of four!
