This Villa was by far BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Marcello is a wonderful person. It exceeded any of our expectations. If you go to Maui, This is the place to stay. I do not have one negative about this property. The art work is fantastic. Everything is. If we ever get the chance to go back to Hawaii this will be the place we will stay.

Our stay at the Villa was amazing. A perfect hideaway located on private property with total privacy surrounded by trees and gardens. Outdoor spaces include a bar right off the kitchen, a table for entertaining guests, a barbecue and a swimming pool. The villa was stocked with everything needed for cooking in. It is a 5 star hidden gem. Marcello was the perfect host.

I quit searching VRBO's website when I saw photos of this Villa, especially of the pool, then read about Villa Paola's total privacy. I booked it. The reviews about the Villa are so accurate that I've no need to add my own.
You can "roll the dice" on other choices, but this pair, Marcello & Alessio, truly made our stay Paradise! These two unique men, doing sensational work, are, in a word...Twinsational!

We stayed at Villa Paola on our first trip to Hawaii as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We simply couldn’t have asked for anything better. The house is so beautiful, and we enjoyed the patio and pool every day. The location was ideal for us….quiet and removed from the busyness of the downtown hotel area, but only minutes away from the beach and shopping, etc. Marcello and Alessio were so wonderful to work with and we so enjoyed meeting them; indeed this is the first time we’ve ever met the property owners we rented from. They made sure we had everything we needed and made some terrific recommendations for us during our time there, which really helped us to appreciate and feel connected to our experience there even more. We really hope we can come back some day!

The Twins are fabulous hosts. The property is extremely private, quiet and well maintained. The pool is chilly this time of year ( January ) but utterly refreshing after a long day on the beach. All of the outside living areas as well as interior spaces of this bungalow have been thoughtfully decorated and designed with comfort, function and utility in mind. Having stayed in multiple VRBO rentals this has one of the best appointed kitchens available for your visit.
Will definitely consider return visit. Five star happiness.

If you were to take a Tuscan Cottage and put it in Hawaii, this is what you would have. It’s in a fabulous location, minutes from town and the beach is only a mile down the road. It’s super private and has all the amenities needed. Hammock to a deep pool for swimming. The Hosts (Twins) were amazing.

Cocktails in the bar area surrounded only by the palms and sound of the birds. BBQ fish and some of the best naps we have ever had! Perfect for a romantic getaway which we did have indeed! What are you waiting for? Stay here - you will not be disappointed—beautiful house with all the luxury amenities. The hosts are lovely and very attentive and friendly. Marcelllo was a great host. Communicated effectively and gave us all the privacy we could wish for. The home was great and as advertised. Having the private pool was a definite plus. We felt very safe and welcome at the house.
Semi private neighborhood beach with parking was less than a mile away. Wailea was a short 5 minute drive away with plenty of restaurants, beach walk, shopping etc. Thank you Marcelo for being such a great and accommodating host. We look forward to returning.

After a rough few years, this was the perfect paradise to recharge in. Normally we love the beach, but found ourselves enjoying the pool and privacy so much we hardly left. Words do not explain the beauty, cleanliness, peacefulness of this property. I had everything that was needed for my 8 day stay. The kitchen was so well equipped for any cooking needs. My wife & I visited Hawaii for 6 days ( not long enough) & this was a perfect place to stay. In our opinion, a good central spot on the island. The house was clean from top to toe & the hosts were great. Check in was easy & they were extremely easy to contact should we have an questions..
The Villa is spacious, has a great back yard with lots of space, a grill, sunloungers & a beautiful large swimming pool. The hosts also provided us with beach towels, beach chairs & water equipment which was great because we visited a beach each day.
I highly recommend this Villa for a stay in Hawaii. If it is available when we return to the island, we will definitely look to book.

We are frequent travelers to Maui and have stayed at many types of locations: Grand Oceanfront Hotels, Penthouse Suites, Condos. But, Villa Paola is exactly the secluded retreat we’ve been searching for and is by far our new favorite place!
From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we realized this was going to be an amazing vacation! Villa Paola is completely hidden from view, tucked behind a wall of palm trees, yet, conveniently just steps from our car, for quick and easy access to luggage and groceries. As we stepped behind the palms we were greeted by a massive, beautifully tiled outdoor kitchen, with a huge dining table and bar. We enjoyed cooking and eating our meals in this spacious oasis and took full advantage of the perfect daily weather. The grill was just steps away and could easily be watched while setting the table or making other dishes. We spent most of our time in this area, as the table also served as our remote office space and allowed us plenty of room to spread out. We also enjoyed sunning at the pool. It was the perfect spot to sip a morning coffee or an evening cocktail, and the hammock was my favorite place to star gaze upon the fabulous Maui sky!
The rustle of the breeze blown palms and melodious Hawaiian song birds were so soothing and hypnotic that complete relaxation was inevitable. Abundant naps were enjoyed from every lounge space. It was so peaceful and tranquil that we frequently chose to stay home to enjoy the quiet serenity.
The house and property were much bigger than expected. The kitchen was fully stocked with an abundance of cookware and dishes. The bed was extremely comfortable! Rooms were large, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. If you appreciate design and attention to detail, then you’ll be impressed by the Italian Craftsmanship, impeccable tile work, and extraordinary Artwork. We were simply blown away when we realized the art pieces were created by the property owners, and part of "The Twins Fine Art Collection".
Our hosts, Marcello and Alessio were simply AMAZING! They are the definition of true gentlemen! Genuine, authentic and the kindest men you’ll ever meet! Upon arrival, Marcello gave us a personal tour, and they both went out of their way to ensure our stay was magical. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation we've ever had. Thank you Marcello and Alessio for sharing your piece of Paradise! We feel so lucky to have found you and Villa Paola! We will be back!

Villa Paola is perfectly situated between Kihei and Wailea and allowed for easy travel to beaches, restaurants and activities we planned for the week.
Marcello greeted us at the door and made sure we had everything we needed for our time there.
The villa is well appointed with all the needed amenities for a comfortable stay. We used the beach chairs and coolers provided and appreciated the water cooler for pure drinking water. The backyard pool oasis is paradise as we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings while lounging in the hammock or a glass of wine in the evenings listening to nature. We were easily able to do a load of laundry and my husband was able to grab a quick morning work out by the pool using the weights that are provided.
Marcello, thank you for sharing your villa, art and passion for all things beautiful! You and your twin are so talented. We are sorry we’re didn’t get to meet Alessio. Next time! Thank you for sharing the magic of Villa Paola!

Villa Paola is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing oasis surrounded by palms and lush greenery. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Marcello who showed us the property and all there was to offer. So many amazing details in this incredible villa that he created. From the private pool on one side and the stunning outdoor patio on the other, you won’t want to leave.
We have stayed at several different places in the Kihei area, including the Marriott in Wailea which is amazing, but we would prefer to stay here hands down. With windows open catching the cool morning air, we were greeted with the chorus of birds cooing and calling one another, giving us the feeling that we’re in the jungle. We like to cook, and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you’ll need to prepare your own meals.
Close proximity to great restaurants…Monkeypod, Cuatro, and Cafe O Lei to name a few and great beaches nearby. Kula Bistro in Kula (upcountry) is a gem worth driving to. It’s a beautiful drive about 40 minutes from Kihei. When we return to Kihei we’ll be staying at Villa Paola!

My family and I loved this villa especially the saline pool. We utilize the pool literally twice a day while we were there. The outside showers were a mega plus for after the beach or swimming in the pool. The kids really enjoyed it. The place is fully equipped and love how close you are to Monkeypod in Wailea as well as Ulua beach. The twins were great hosts, both so kind, friendly, and informational. Down to earth vibes with them two. Marcello so nice enough to show us around the place when we arrived. My husband and I will definitely book this spot again in the future.

This place is absolutely fabulous! The pictures don’t do it justice, the pool and backyard area are much larger than the photos, ( it looks like artificial turf in the photos but when you get there you’re amazed the grass is real and so perfect!)
Everything is tastefully and artfully done, and Marcello is a delight to deal with.
It is close to so many wonderful beaches and shops and restaurants, but you may just want to hang out at the home a lot of the time because it’s so nice there.
Can’t wait to stay there again.

We had an excellent time at Villa Paula. It was very relaxing. Marcello greeted us and showed us around the property, which was lovely, clean and in good shape. So many things were provided for us, beach chairs & umbrella, cooler bags and frozen cooler insets, clean BBQ grill, large water cooler and coffee! We dined in quite a few evenings and though not advertised, there were quite a few spices and pantry goods available for us to use. We did use the pool, but it's not heated, so initially a shock to jump in. Felt great on hot day! We would definitely go back!

This is a well-cared for property in the hills above the Pi'ilani Highway. It has lots of outdoor space for dining, relaxing and enjoying nature. The kitchen has an excellent electric stove with high quality pots and pans. The showers have excellent water pressure and the laundry was extremely convenient. There is a large, unheated pool in the backyard. The beds are firm and comfortable.
The owners are very welcoming and accommodating, and were quickly responsive to any requests, such as addressing some wifi issues early in the week. The next door neighbor gave a great surf lesson.

After reading all of the positive reviews and then Marcello allowing us to check it out during our earlier stay on Maui in March we booked it. The location is somewhat tucked away and private which was very nice and made us feel at home. The house had everything we needed and then some, and we especially enjoyed the large covered patio where we gathered to eat and socialize most nights. On the beautiful lawn we laid on the nice lounge chairs and did some stargazing which was awesome as the view had so many stars we don't see at home. It truly was breathtaking!
Marcello is the most gracious and friendly host and my family very much enjoyed talking to him on our last day there.
We most certainly highly recommend this place and will be back as soon as we can.

The Villa was a wonderful stay right on the border of Kihei and Wailea. The house is beautifully appointed and furnished, with everything you could possibly need and more. The hosts-provided beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels, and snorkel equipment were a wonderful and welcomed bonus. The pristine saltwater swimming pool is a perfect accent for families traveling with kids, or for people who desire a more private experience on the island. The lanai and surrounding grounds are beautiful, private, and very quiet. The house is just minutes away from some of South Maui’s finest and most beautiful beaches and fine dining options. Villa Paola is a refreshing alternative to staying at one of the resorts. We loved the layout with two separate master suites. It is perfect for two couples. The pool….wow! Extra large, salt water pool with all the amenities and a lovely view. So welcome to come home to after a day of sightseeing. We loved the outside area which had a great portico with a bar that sat four comfortably. We dined at the adjacent marble table that would seat 6 or more. Very quiet neighborhood so sleeping was easy. If you are looking to raise a little hell, this is not the place for you. If We are lucky enough to return, this is where we will stay. This is an absolutely lovely vacation home -- very meticulous, and well decorated with upscale design work throughout the house! I would highly recommend staying here for not only the accomodations, but also for the ideal location, right on the border of Wailea and very close to the beach parks for terrific snorkeling. The salt water in-ground pool is spectacular and super clean if you prefer this to ocean swimming. I enjoyed chatting with Marcello and admiring the twins' artwork, which is displayed in all rooms of the guest house. I am extremely picky by nature, so my five star rating is well deserved. This option is far superior to staying in a local hotel room, which is not only more expensive, but less private and lacks access to a kitchen, outdoor grill, and covered patio!

We had a wonderful time staying with another couple at Villa Paola in Maui. The home exceeded our expectations in every way. You can tell when an owner takes great pride in their property. Alessio and Marcello clearly do.
The location of the home is close enough to the highway that it has easy access to most of what Maui has to offer. However, it is far enough away you feel secluded. The pool is enclosed and offers plenty of privacy. We ended up using it almost every day to cool off after spending time in the sun. The neighborhood felt safe and we had a place to park our rental car off the street.
The amenities were well taken care of. We had access to pretty much anything you would need on Maui. The washer and dryer should allow for reuse of your clothing, so tell your spouses they don't need to overpack!
We had a wonderful time and hope to stay here again when we return to Maui, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Marcello is the perfect host. The grounds, accomodations, fruit trees, artwork and pool were better than we hoped for. The original artwork was beautiful beyond any expectation. The exceptional photos of the property understate the reality. We can't wait to return.

Like so many others before us, we enjoyed Villa Paola immensely. What a Villa! The lanai was our favorite spot. We would sit for hours in the evening enjoying the surroundings, the quiet and the outstanding work you have done on the place. Every detail has been thought of. We had a blast in Maui and a large part of that fun was coming back "home" to Villa Paola each evening.
Your personal touches and friendly hosting was much appreciated. If we needed something you were there to help. At the same time we had complete privacy. Our family loved your home.
We would enjoy a return visit some day. Hopefully we can make that happen. This is THE PLACE to stay in Maui.

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful villa. It was far enough removed from the hustle and bustle and a great place to relax in the pool if the waves were too high to snorkel or just a great place to relax period.
The twins do everything to make your stay enjoyable and on top of that you get a feast for your eyes with all of their lovely paintings that decorate the villa.
The pool water is so soft and luxurious you will never want to get out!
If you are tired of staying in a Condo or hotel this is an amazing alternative, and the best thing about your stay will be meeting the Twins!

this villa is tastefully decorated and excellent value for money. The Twins are fun and give you as much space as you want. The layout is a little unusual and one of the bedrooms is a little small and not truly "en-suite" as you have to into a common area. This though is the only negative point and did not detract from the overall enjoyment. Well worth the money compared to others we looked at and would stay there again if we went back to Maui. Great for one or two couples who want to relax.

We stayed here in September 2006 and it was
heavenly! Marcello was a great host (Alessio and
Danielle were out of town) and the cottage is
wonderful. Very clean, room, and well thought out
down to the smallest details. The bathrooms were
wonderful! We enjoyed reading in the sun in our
private yard, as well as swimming in the pool. As
someone else said, to stay somewhere else would
be crazy! This place is awesome. We will definitely
return with friends!

If you stay somewhere else, you are making a mistake. Alessio, Marcelleo and Danielle are by far the best hosts we have ever seen. When you meet them, you will understand. The cottage is decorated beyond belief and has everything you would ever need.If you are looking to relax and get away from the big city, this is the place to go.
