Unfortunately, we weren't able to stay here as our trip was cancelled due to the wildfires. We would have stayed if our flights were not cancelled by the airlines. We were in constant contact with the owners before, during and after the wildfires. The communication with the owners was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Sometimes you hate to share how wonderful something was because then everyone finds out about it :)
The property was amazing and exactly as pictured. The owners and Robert were amazing to work with! Everything was clean, comfortable and in proper working order. They have put a lot of thought into above average offerings.. beach chairs, beach umbrella, toys, cooler and even ice packs for the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, new flooring and paint etc. You can tell they are constantly making upgrades to their beautiful property. This is our 3rd trip to Maui and now we have a home away from home when we go back again. Thank you for offering your home, it was a real highlight of our vacation!

My family of 4 just had a wonderful stay. The view was incredible. We loved spending time on the lanai, and time in the pool was a great way to wrap up the afternoon. The house was so comfortable for two adults and two teen boys. My teens didn't want to share the queen bed, so they took turns sleeping on the bed and an air mattress. The house was stocked with almost all things one would need. I appreciated having access to the cleaning supplies and the vacuum. Not that we wanted to do house cleaning, however, a house can get a bit grimey when 2 adults and 2 almost adults are in it for 10 days and it was great to have plentiful supplies. Kitchen supplies were vast, along with a variety of spices. There was laundry soap/dryer sheets, shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, and lots of towels for both bathing and the pool. There were several pool floaties and noodles, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and a large cooler for renter's use. Previous renters had left bottles of sunscreen and aloe, as well as, snorkels. A highlight of the house was the caretaker, Robert, who was a delight to meet. His bright and cheerful demeanor was appreciated, and he was always available to help with anything. The house is close to all south end activities/beaches, and was an amazing place for a homebase! We would love to return someday!

This was our family’s second stay and it was ever bit relaxing and enjoyable as the first. Connie and Dave make booking easy and hassle free. Robert made check in easy and quick and was always available if we needed anything.
The views can’t be beat from the lanai~ absolutely my favorite part of the house from morning until night.

Since my hubby and I are already familiar with all the tourist spots in Maui, we were just looking for a great place to relax, and we certainly found it! The house is beautiful, the view amazing, and the garden is a tropical paradise, just what we needed. So private and away from the crowds. After exploring the area we relaxed on the deck or by the pool. Robert was so welcoming and gave us a good overview. He recommended Keawakapu beach, which is wonderful and not too crowded - thanks for supplying the beach chairs and umbrella. We also found excellent restaurants and shopping in Wailea.

Very nice spot! We would definitely stay there again. Robert, the care taker, was very nice and professional. The neighbors dog barked for about 5 to ten minutes every night, but early enough that it didn’t effect us and our sleep. Had to laugh though, you are not to be out on the deck after 9pm due to noise. :0 we had a pretty hard rain that caused a leak near a skylight. Robert was at the house in about five minutes and but some buckets in place. Repairs are in need but it was not an issue for us. The location was convenient. We enjoyed our stay.

We love staying here!! The house is fabulous and spacious with gorgeous views inside and outside the house. The lanai has a panoramic view of the ocean and you can hear and see many types of birds. The swimming pool is an added bonus. Robert, the caretaker, is very helpful and the owners are very welcoming!

This home had the perfect setup for our family of 4. I have to echo another review in stating that the photos do not do the actual views justice. From the moment you enter the front door we’re welcomed with views of paradise straight through to the back of the home-where we enjoyed watching sunsets and sunrises on the lanai or taking in the Maui sun by the pool after a day of exploring Maui. The house itself is clean and well stocked with all I needed to prepare meals for our family on the nights we stayed in. All in all a great find located in a beautiful neighborhood that is close to shopping with great restaurants, and beautiful beaches.

We had a wonderful time in Maui as a family and enjoyed staying at the Maui Ocean Palms house. The pictures and description of the property are accurate and the house was very clean. Robert was super nice! One thing we didn’t realize until we got there is that the pool is not heated so it was very chilly during our stay in February so we did not use it as much as planned. Overall, it was a great trip and we would recommend this property to others looking to stay in the Kihei area!

This house was amazing. The view over the south Maui bay was phenomenal. We sat every morning and watched whales frolicking in the ocean. We sat on the lanai in the evenings to watch beautiful sunsets. The house was great for 3 adults. I would highly recommend this property for anyone interested in visiting Maui. I hope to visit again in the future.

The house was great, very comfortable, spacious and very clean. We enjoyed the huge deck, where we could relax and dine and appreciate the wonderful ocean view. Our only small comment is that the kitchen needed some more things: Saran Wrap, storage containers with lids (there were some but many had no lids), more than three teaspoons.

My husband and I have been looking for a long time and this is by far the best Maui rental we have ever stayed in. The house is private, airy, spotless and comfortable. The lanai is is even better—very large, shaded, with a spectacular view of the ocean and sunsets. Beautiful beaches are a short drive. A real find.

This house was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids, ages 5 and 9). The view outside when you first walk in is breathtaking! The lanai was huge and a perfect place to sit, look out at the water, have coffee, or enjoy a meal. The pool was great and something we all enjoyed swimming in at some point every day. The location was great too for checking out Kihei or taking a drive to upcountry, visiting Haleakala, or Road to Hana. We would definitely stay here again!

We just returned after a week at this amazing villa! The pictures in the listing were beautiful- but it's breathtaking in person! You see the views of the ocean before you even set foot in the front door. This was the perfect stay for our vacation. Close to enough to everything (beaches, shopping, restaurants) while traveling with teens, but so quiet and relaxing! Robert was great and helped anytime we needed anything. Our stay at this property was nothing short of phenomenal! Beautiful views, the pictures do not do it justice. House is very spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We loved the proximity to beaches, shopping, dining, and used the pool when the afternoon winds kicked up. No need for air conditioning either, huge windows and sliding doors allow cool breeze through the house. Dave and Connie were great to work with pre-trip offering detailed suggestions, which we used, and Robert is also very responsive and professional. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds and looking at sleepy Wailea at night. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this beautiful property!

We stayed here April 16 to May 7th 2022. The view fron the deck never gets old and a great start to your day. We were from Barrie Ontario Canada and we're finally able to revisit Maui after the lockdown.. The house was a perfect solution to our Covid concerns versus a hotel or condo. 2 concerns we had were the neighbours dogs barking late at night and during the day. Perhaps it was another VRBO group. The second concern was the backyard needed some TLC as nature was taking over and could have used a good clearing out. The pool was always the perfect oasis after a day exploring Maui. We would definately recommend this property and stay again.

This is a great property we stayed there for a month. the house is very comfortable and had everything that you needed to make the stay relaxing. The pool and the outdoor living were a favorite with the family. My my favorite thing was to have coffee on the back deck in the morning and watch the butterflies and listen to the birds, the sunsets were also amazing and you could see Whales from the deck.

First of all, the fact that the stars aligned two days before our trip when we had a booking nightmare with another property & this house had a last minute cancelation, is nothing short of a miracle. We could not have asked for a better setup for my mom's bucket list trip to Hawaii. The house is arranged so that the living space divides the two bedrooms on each end of the house giving everyone optimal privacy. The high ceilings & cross circulation of the ocean breeze throughout the house truly gives you an island feel. The pool is massive. Bring your goggles if you swim laps. We used the available chairs & umbrellas on our beach outings. I feel like we neglected the awesome living room because all we wanted to do was sit on the incredible porch. Do you want to use the dining room table inside or outside? You have options! A fantastic stay & I nearly shed a tear locking up the front door for the last time.

This is our third stay at this beautiful home. We could not ask for a more perfect experience. The home is quiet, peaceful, clean, beautiful . . . the onsite property manager is helpful and the views are beyond compare. We love sitting on the lanai listening to birds and marveling at the ocean vistas while enjoying our coffee and breakfast. And the sunsets are memorable!! Located in a residential neighborhood, about a mile and a half from the ocean (which you see a commanding view of from every window and from the large deck), this property is perfect for 2-4 people. Having the property manager onsite on the bottom floor of the house is a great advantage—he is helpful, quick to respond, and charming.

We had an amazing stay at Maui Ocean Palms! The house and property are absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. The photos do not capture the fantastic views. My kids enjoyed playing outside, swimming in the pool, and hunting for lizards. Robert was extremely helpful and accommodating as well! I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Stayed here for the 2nd half of a 2+ week stay on Maui. Woke up early every morning to the sounds of a multitude of birds singing. Some crazy sounds, let me tell ya. The house is great and the view is amazing. Keep in mind, we usually like to be very close to the beach. Like, in the water close, so this was something completely different for us.
Robert is just amazing and absolutely made the trip better for us, if that was possible. I kinda broke an umbrella on a windy beach and he said no problem, I'll get another. That's what I'm talking about!
Dave and Connie, you're very lucky for many reasons. Great, great place.

Being our first travel adventure post-Covid-19, we were unsure of what to expect. We were pleased to find the house clean and in comfortable. Although we only used one of the two bedrooms, we greatly appreciated the bamboo sheets that kept us cool and comfortable at night. The house is easy to find and conveniently located close to Wailea and Kihei. We spent more time "at home" than any previous trip, because beaches, restaurants and shops were very crowded with tourists...however, spending time "at home" was so pleasant, with the cool breezes and the beautiful views, we just enjoyed the relaxation of home. The pool was so nice, as our
kids & grandkids were staying nearby and they could come by for lunch or dinner and a swim. Robert was a true asset, always responsive and helpful, with lots of local tips and recommendations. We are already planning our next trip and most certainly stay here again! After more than 20 trips to Maui, we found the perfect place. Many thanks for sharing your lovely home!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th birthday this year with our best friends in Maui and Dave and Connie's house.
We could not have asked for more. Robert, the caretaker was awesome! The view of the Molokini Crater was awesome. The property was just awesome.

What a spectacular week we enjoyed in the Lawler's south Maui home. Their home is even better than the website pictures....spacious and gracious with heart-stopping views. From a high perch surrounded by lovely vegetation you enjoy views of several surrounding islands and magnificent sunsets.We were two couples with vastly different previous Hawaiian experience...first timers and at least a dozen previous visits. The experienced couple declared it a a total home run. Leaving this marvelous place was very difficult on Super Bowl Sunday...it felt so like home and served as such a great base for our explorations of Maui. Kudoes to the Lawler's they have done a super job carefully tending a unique and special property. David and Connie are a lovely couple always available when needed but never apparent co-residents. We enjoyed their company one evening where they shared their island experiences as well as others. We must find a way to adjust our busy retiree travel plans to return to our Hawaiian Heaven.

Amazing home. We were a tad surprised to learn that the owners are on-site (they live in the lower level) - but having said that, we barely knew they were around and they were very nice and responsive to questions/etc.
The house is private - with lots of lush plantings to block any neighbors and the views are out of this world. The lanai is large and covered - great for sunsets or just eating al fresco and the pool area was perfect for afternoon dips and for grilling. The beds were comfortable and they had great beach-supplies that you could use (chairs, umbrellas, etc.).
Location in Maui Meadows was excellent - you're 10 mins from some of the best beaches and shopping in Maui.

The house and property are even more stunning in person and obviously well cared for. The large deck facing the ocean was our favorite spot to relax after the day's adventures. Dave and Connie were fantastic hosts. Available if needed, but otherwise nearly invisible even though they live in the lower half of the house. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could think of and there's a BBQ grill on the lower patio. We stayed for 10 days and wished it was longer. We would highly recommend and can't wait to return. Thanks again to Dave and Connie.

At an elevation of roughly 700' in a quiet residential setting away from the "noise" of Kihei and Wailea, but still just a few minutes drive from both, this home away from home awaits those lucky enough to have made this their choice for a Maui vacation. The property is just as you see it in the photos. Casual, serene, comfortable, helpful hosts, etc. Very strong positive recommendation is very appropriate for this residence.

We stayed at this property from July 26, 2014 - August 2, 2014. The house was just like the photos except the views were even better in person! The house is very well appointed, I think the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The pool and backyard are delightful, you feel like you are at your own private resort. We had amazing weather and the owner, Dave, was extremely helpful. There were afternoon/evening trade winds and we only used the AC our first night. We loved Maluaka Beach and Monkeypod Kitchen for dinner (probably one of the best mai tai's ever). We would stay here again.
