We had an amazing stay. It had everything we needed and more! The cottage was set up really well and had lots of room for our family of four. We appreciated all ‘the little things’ the cottage had to offer, and especially the beach chairs, towels, cooler and umbrella for our beach days (on the most fantastic beach across the street) or for one of our day trips. We had one of the best stays in this cottage. It has everything and more that is necessary for a pleasant time. Location is excellent, very close to the beach with the best snorkeling experience we had on Maui. The cottage itself is very comfortable, the whole time we felt like in a paradise. From the morning birds and breezes to the lanai dinners and sunsets and everything in between, this cottage is just wonderful! It’s quiet and the beds were super comfy. Didn’t need any A/C (fans and cross breezes were plenty) and the house was fully equipped. I can’t thank you enough for 12 nights of bliss spent with my family (myself, husband, and 2 teenage sons). We will be back!!

This place was wonderful for our family. Very short drive down to Kahekili (Airport) Beach which had all the sand, reef, bathrooms, and anything else you could need. We saw tons of fish, turtles, and even a couple octopuses out snorkeling. I like to run so there is were lots of options right out the front door.
Sunsets from the lanai, pool steps out the back door, all kinds of fun plants and trees cover the property and were lots of fun to look up with our kids.
Hosts were really fantastic. Can’t say enough about their responsiveness and eagerness to help. They were wonderful.
One thing to keep in mind is that the place doesn’t have AC. We actually purchased a window unit at Costco when we arrived just in case we needed it, but we managed to stay cool enough that we returned it unopened. All the windows open and they have lots of fans. Mid summer, which is when we were there, is probably the only time this may be an issue, but even with days in the upper 80s we were ok.
We loved the place and hope to return. A big thanks to Suzanne, Carol, and Andy, all of whom were super accommodating and helpful.

This house had everything, and it was close to beaches, shopping, running trail, and grocery stores. The owners thought of everything! I was a little worried about staying in a house without air conditioning, but it turns out we didn't need it. Sleeping was a dream on the very comfortable master bed. We would love to return to Maui and stay here again!

Great cottage a short walk from a wonderful beach. Much quieter than a resort. We were worried about no A/C, but was no problem at all. Great cross-ventilation, so open things up when you get home and it's pleasant in a few minutes. Spacious, with two bedrooms and two full baths, the second of which is pretty small. Awesome lanai or patio, which we used every single day. Lots of beach equipment and a pantry with some staples, also games, movies, extra towels and pillows. All kinds of things to do. We even hosted dinner for some family members one evening. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Everything about this trip was wonderful, starting with the great communication from Suzanne. We stayed in close contact so we knew exactly what to expect upon arrival and we were in close contact throughout the trip for any questions. The "Maui" guide they put together was very helpful and gave great suggestions for getting around. We brought our 2 boys, 15 & 20, for their first time to the islands and they loved it. The home was the perfect size, the location was within walking distance to the beach, and we had all the beach equipment we needed. The fans and shutters helped us let in the island breezes and stay very comfortable throughout the trip. The times we stayed around the property and enjoyed the pool we were treated to great new friends from residents and fellow travelers. A huge thank you to Suzanne for helping us enjoy one of our favorite family vacations. I wish I could give 6 stars :-)

Suzanne was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. This cottage has everything you can possibly imagine! There is no air conditioning but we never felt hot and the breeze that flowed through was so relaxing. The kitchen is full sized and was great for making meals. There are several beaches in the area and the roads around the place were very easy to navigate. We will be staying here again on our next trip! This cottage was the most well equiped rental that we have ever experienced. The only thing missing was a champagne stopper, so we just had to drink the whole bottle. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and all the appliances we needed to cook all of our meals. We used the pool much more than we anticipated as it was quite hot the 10 days we were here and the pool was so convenient and lovely. Access to the beach was easy and we walked or ran on the boardwalk daily. Trips to beaches near Kihei, north Maui attractions, and hiking in Haleakala National Park were all easily reached from this location. The property was well maintained and we enjoyed many hours relaxing on the screened in lanai. We would most definitely like to come back to this area and stay in this unit again.

I don't think I ever felt this much "home away from home" as in this cottage - from the moment we parked our car and walked in, it felt just right. The place just has such a homey, cozy feeling...
The cottage is extremely well equipped, everything was spotless, the kitchen and also all of the other rooms provide everything one could possibly need (including boogie boards, lawn chairs, etc). There were four of us and we were very comfortable.
The surroundings are simply gorgeous: in the morning, we woke up to the singing of birds and the fragrance of Plumeria and all the other exotic flowers! The gardens around the house is a pleasure for all senses. Also, the pool is just a few yards away. To get to airport beach, one of our favorite beaches that we discovered on our vacation, it is not even a 5 minute walk!
It was hard to leave, we definitely want to come back and we would recommend the cottage to anyone who looks for a relaxing holiday with an authentic Maui feeling!

Suzanne's beach house has absolutely everything you could want for a family vacation. We were in Maui for my son's wedding and this was the perfect place for myself, my husband, my older son, his wife and our two year old granddaughter. Not only is this home beautiful inside...it was clean, the beds were great, the pack and play provided for our granddaughter was perfect. The location is outstanding... we loved using the pool a few steps from the house every day. We walked to the beach and built sand castles with the sand toys provided... the umbrellas and beach pads were also used and appreciated. There are many fans in the home and when you open the windows there is a lovely breeze that keeps the house cool. We truly enjoyed our Kona coffee every morning in the beautiful screened lanai surrounded by gorgeous greenery and flowers, and a view of the ocean in the distance. Absolutely no complaints. Would highly recommend Suzzanes home to anyone!!!

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the ICC. We were in town celebrating a few milestone birthdays for my extended family who were staying at a few different resorts in Kaanapali. The host was gracious enough to allow us to host the larger group for an early BBQ one afternoon. Everyone in my family wished that they had booked at the ICC! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and feel like how it must have been decades ago - away from the crowded, vertical development. If you are searching for a comfortable, relaxing place that feels like home and is stocked with everything you could need for your stay in Maui, look no further.

The international colony club cottage 19 is an amazing and spacious cottage. The view of the ocean from both lanai's was spectacular. It is a quiet community where you can go and just relax. No worrying about noisy parties. There were 4 adults in our party and there was plenty of room for all. The cottage included bikes, beach gear and chairs. We will certainly return!

We only stayed three days but wished it could have been longer, because the cottage was beautiful, roomy and obviously well taken care of. It felt like a home, because of all the little touches: beach chairs, bikes, even a flashlight in the mailbox in case you need it at night. There s plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy in their own way, and the pool is conveniently close. We highly recommend #19!

Our stay in Suzanne's cottage could not have been more perfect, relaxing, or wonderful. The cottage has absolutely everything a person could want for a relaxing beach holiday; every detail has been thought of and provided. The location is superb - away from noisy resorts, but a 5 minute walk to some of the most beautiful beaches in west Maui. The only thing we didn't like was leaving! We would highly recommend Suzanne's cottage to anyone - couple, family, or even solo travelers looking for a little piece of paradise to call their own.

My husband and I visited the cottage with our two sons (20 and 18) for 10 days in June and were just thrilled with all the space. We had room to be together, room to be apart, room to cook and eat and read and watch movies together. We just loved the lanai; the round table made conversation easy. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and celebrating, and the barbecue grill worked well for us.
The hosts share their love of books and movies, providing an impressive library of both. The decor is well done and well thought out; some vacation rentals are not very easy to live in, but this one makes it easy to settle in.
The swimming pool is right out the lanai door, so we could pop in and out all the time; I was a little worried that would create a noise problem, but it did not at all. The whole home has glass louvred walls, which allow for cross ventilation throughout. There are a couple of fans that were helpful when it got really warm (we are Alaskans, so it seemed warmer to us than to others). Laundry is convenient, with both a dryer and a high-capacity line available right in the house.
The neighborhood was just what we wanted: right near the beach and all the activities of Lahaina without the crowds. The grounds are just lovely; the birdsong is amazing.

You have a wonderful place with lots of opportunities; Ocean access, (board, surf, snorkel, paddle, kayak, etc.), Pool (sun bath, swim, refresh), tracking, biking, tennis and all beach activities. I need to mention the lovely sunsets with trees, flowers and ocean view.
Definitely I enjoyed the high ceiling with fans, also fully equipped kitchen with BBQ access. Library and the art pieces made my stay joyful. I will miss reading with palm trees sound with wind. It feels so wonderful to waking up with the voices of birds. It was pleasure to watch the universe at clear nights, I am sure most people will enjoy this lovely scene, especially near the pool with lighted water, even it is more beautiful during the full-moon.
I believe blowhole (North side of the island) is a place to see and enjoy. Near by city centers are nice and neat; I can recommend going to TIMES for grocery, it is really close here and they have good stuff. I would like to thank you for the bike share opportunity, it is a quick ride to TIMES (try sushi's :) )
I hiked up towards to hills, I found nice coffee farms :) they are not far away. Also walk paths at the beach side is nice and easy even with beach equipment, mostly shaded paths.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was perfect. We have stayed in many VRBO's and this was one of the best stocked one. From the beach gear, the bikes, books, board games and a well stocked kitchen. The location was great to explore Maui and having a beach at our footsteps and a pool out the back door was great. We will miss our morning runs to Starbucks on the beach walk.

We stayed in this lovely, comfortable condo for two weeks. The setting was perfect: private, but still close to everything. Birds, flowers, trees, a pool, walking paths were everywhere, golf course and a short walk to the spectacular beach. The peaceful area was so refreshing. The accommodations were perfect with comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, books, water toys and gear, washer and dryer with the unit, extra areas just off the main spaces for friends to hang out. What a pleasure to be in this spot. When we return to Lahaina it'll definitely be to this very condo. We've seen and stayed in others, but this one tops them all. Thank you!

We stayed at the Cottage for 12 days and found the location perfect. We toured many of the surrounding beaches but one of the best is just across the street. The home had everything we needed to relax and have personal space. We took our mother for her 70th birthday and the experience brought back many memories of her time in Wailers Village back in the 80's.

We rented this cottage last summer as well. This cottage is equipped with everything that you need for a perfect Maui vacation. I appreciate all of the kitchen gadgets, decent knives, coffee grinders, etc. I have stayed in several vacation homes and this one is very well outfitted in the kitchen. The home is clean and comfortable. This cottage is in close proximity to an excellent swimming and snorkeling beach. It's a quick drive to Whaler's Village, or Lahaina. There is a nice supermarket just north and we visited a farmer's market near Napili. We had a relaxing family beach bum vacation.

It was also nice to have our own lawn area off the house. The only thing missing was the AC, that would have been nice since we weren't herein the summer. Overall, we would rent again. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at a cottage in the Intl. Colony Club on Maui. The cottage we first stayed at wasn't available so we selected this unit, number 19. It's lovely and the owners keep it well stocked with beach supplies -- beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, 2 bicycles, etc. This is a big money saver! The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. There is a bbq and the pool is literally 20 steps away. The pool is not a fancy resort pool and on the small side, but this is what we prefer so it was perfect for us. Hardly anyone was ever at the pool so it felt like our own private backyard pool. There is a washer and dryer. No real complaints, just a one thing to note. The bedrooms are nice sized and bright. They have frosted glass shuttered windows so you have privacy when closed however don't expect to sleep in.This was not a problem for us because we are early risers and we started our days early. Overall a wonderful stay and we'd recommend staying here!

My wife and I and our 2 children, aged 9 and 11, spent a wonderful 4 nights at this special property. The property is conveniently located right off Route 30 and just minutes from Lahaina and all the beaches on West Maui. The house was clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked and it was very relaxing to have dinner in the lanai with fresh fish from the Fish Market just 2 minutes up the road. The barbecue worked well. Our kids enjoyed snorkeling and boogie-boarding for the first time. Staying at this property made our vacation in Maui special.

We had a fantastic stay in this cottage! It was absolutely perfect for us. We had two adults and two kids, ages 6 and 9. I don't think you can find a better value for the location, size, and amenities of this place. It was so convenient being only steps from the pool and minutes from one of the best beaches in the area. We would grab a couple of the beach chairs and the boogie boards and walk five minutes to the beach each night to watch the sunset. On our last night, we could see whales breaching not far off the beach while watching the kids boogie board, and the sun setting behind them. It doesn't get much better than that. I would and will recommend this place to all of my friends, and I will be back myself.

We had a perfect experience for our first visit to Maui. The closest beach is a short walk from the cottage. We snorkeled and saw lots of colorful fish and turtles both times that we visited that beach. The cottage is located in a great spot in that you have a short drive north to explore Napili and other beaches or a quick drive south to Lahaina. We appreciate that the owner has beach chairs, an umbrella, and coolers available. The owner has provided thoughtful extras like a place to hang wet towels and suits. I was pleasantly surprised to find sharp knives in the kitchen. Most rentals have flimsy kitchen gadgets. We had kona coffee on the Lanai each morning. We visited a few of the restaurants that the owner had recommended. My favorite was Aloha mixed plate. I feel lucky to have stayed in this cottage on our first Hawaiian vacation.

What a great place to stay. Felt like the owners actually live there for chunks of time so they set it up to be comfortable for them - and therefore us. Great cross breezes, comfortable furnature, lots of places to hang out - either all together or giving people space. Laundry was EASY and convenient and all the extras (boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, etc.) were great. When we return to west Maui, we'll save on research time and come straight to ICC #19.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely cottage that greatly exceeded our expectations with regards to ambiance, dishware, laundry, lanai and closeness to both parking and pool. We, our 2 grandchildren aged 9 and 11, and our son and daughter-in-law had a relaxing time in this very well equipped place that has plenty of room for all. It is also very nicely decorated with Hawaii themed paintings, prints and other décor. Since the pool was only a few steps from the lanai, and since it was mostly deserted during our stay, we felt like it was "our" pool where the granddaughters had fun with their new mermaid outfits. Any inquiries we made or problems we had were promptly dealt with. It is close to many shops, grocery stores, Barnes and Noble and some of the best pizza places we have tried on Maui, both nearby and in Lahaina. We would highly recommend the unit, and plan to go back next year!

Walk across the (busy) street for snorkeling or sunset or to stroll the boardwalk. The house had all the beach toys, including boogie boards, coolers and bikes. The property and pool are beautifully maintained. Easy drive, bike or walk to grocery store. One suggestion would be to add a second small plug in fan to help neutralize the highway noise at night.

So easy to relax here--even surrounded by active family! It accommodated us all well. As one of the cooks I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the handy bbq. We think #19 is one of the best sited cottages in the complex, and it's just steps from the pool.
The big plus for us is that it's in a lovely "old school" but well-maintained complex. The ICC is located conveniently close to Lahaina---but without its touristy vibe. And it's just a short walk away from one of the best beaches and snorkeling sites on the island.
We took advantage of the scenic beach-boardwalk for early-morning walks, and every evening we were able to watch sunsets from the condo patio, the beach or the outdoor seating at one of the many near-by excellent restaurants.
During the rest of the day our favorite activity is snorkeling (ok, napping…) and we had much easy fun in the "aquariums" of Oluwalu, Napili, and Kapalua, among other great beaches.
We left feeling very pampered by all the conveniences and comforts of this very attractive cottage. An incredible bargain for all that it offers. The owners clearly care about their guests.

We stayed at this lovely cottage with friends for ten days at this International Colony Club compound. It was heaven! We 4 adults went snorkeling, hiking, or bike riding every morning. All the supplies and equipment that we needed for these activities was available at this cottage. We started each morning with a brisk walk along the beach at the bottom of the hill and a visit to the local farmers' market. We toured Lahaina both during the day to visit the museums and historical sights, and by night to eat, listen to music, and visit the art galleries. We napped and then swam in the pool most afternoons. It was heaven! The I.C.C compound is quiet, clean, lovely and located close to the beach for sunset toasts! We want to go back!

The cottage was beautiful, spacious, and close to everything. The beach beautiful was minutes away and the pool is steps away from the back lanai. We had so much fun wandering the grounds and taking in the sights and scents of flowers and fruit trees all around. The cottage was clean, roomy, and included everything anyone would need for a perfect trip. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil and bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and bright. We walked down to the beach every morning for snorkeling and got close up to sea turtles on more than one occasion and also enjoyed biking to the local farmers market on the bikes provided with the cottage. We loved using the snorkel gear and boogie boards and picking the fresh fruit growing around the cottage. Our week stay here was relaxing and affordable and I would recommend it to everyone I know.

Magic! Gentle trade winds through tropical windows; lemons, limes and oranges falling off the trees; bursts of color from exotic tropical plants; biking every morning to the farmer's market for local fruit and produce (bikes provided by owners!); snorkeling at Napili Bay and Kapalua with giant sea turtles; swimming in the heated pool; early morning coffee on the outdoor lanai with the birds calling; a bright kitchen with every tool; so much space and room to spare... these are a few of my favorite things at this Cottage. Delightful!
