Our first VRBO and a fantastic overall experience. The layout of the residence is great for 3 couples. The unit is well appointed (beach chairs, a travel cooler and kitchen with everything), and nicely decorated for a Hawaiian feel. The host was super responsive and friendly. Honua Kai pools, beach, and amenities (ABC store on site, coffee place, Dukes, and super close to the beach) can't be beat.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kaanapali at Evelyne's condo. She was very communicative and helpful and the place was a gem - really well appointed and with incredible views. It was very clean and no real issues. The furnishings could use a little updating and the dryer was a little wonky but neither impact the quality of the place or our stay.

We've visited four of the islands over the past 20+ years and Maui is always number one for us. Out of all the hotels/condos we've stayed in during our visits, this was our favorite. Small glitches were handled in a quick and professional manner. Evelyn was the best hostess ever and made us feel welcome even before our arrival.

Can't say enough great things about this condo. We were two families with pre-teen boys and the layout and bedrooms were perfect for us. The lanai and view from the lanai of the sunsets was incredible. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a Costco 5 minutes from the airport and we made a lot of great meals in the spacious kitchen and on the grill on the lanai. The resort is wonderful, our pre-teens had a great time in the pool and hot tubs. The location of the condo is great, close to everything. The beach is great, with a ton of good snorkeling right off the beach. The condo has beach chairs and coolers to take to the beach, while the resort provides clean beach towel service near the pool. The host was very responsive, and it was clear she really cares about her guests having a great time. We would stay here again in a heart beat if we go back to Maui.

We had a wonderful family vacation in this very nice condo with plenty of space and picture perfect views of the ocean (as well as of Lanai and Molokai). Two large cranes were on either side of our building the entire stay, and our lanai was slapped with a danger do not use sign a couple days in. So we could not full use it and also the area around the cranes had dead grass giving the entire area a very partial construction like atmosphere. It is certainly understandable that places need up keep, but it did just did not feel like a luxury building while we were there. Our hosts were super helpful and nice and this is not reflective of them at all, just our honest view on the experience.

There are many activities so close to the condo, surf lessons, snorkeling excursions , paddle board rentals delivered to the resort, outrigger canoes, many swimming pools and Dukes, a delicious restaurant on site. You can also plan excursions to Hana and Haleokola.We plan to go back. If you want the vacation of a lifetime, and you want to have everything for a flawless vacation, this is the condo.

We had 7 adults plus a 1 yr old. A pack and play was provided and the pull out couch was super comfy for the 7th adult. We used the private patio grill to cook steaks. Location is fantastic for pool and beach! And you get perfect sunset view every evening. We’ve stayed other places, and they weren’t as easy to get to beach. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Maui.

Our family enjoyed every minute! Beautiful, comfortable, and all the amenities. The sunsets were a gift as we watched the whales from the lanai! We found the BBQ created a lot of smoke, even with the exhaust on full and we had to close all the doors while using it. Hours of enjoying the view from the gorgeous lanai. We have rented many homes over the years that were comfortable and well stocked, but this owner made sure to think of everything and more. I can’t say enough about the attentiveness and help from the owner. The location for the beach, for dining and for hiking were perfect. After long days we enjoyed sunsets on the beach ( with the beach chairs provided in the unit) followed by dinners and game nights on the balcony. We were fortunate enough to spend 3 weeks here so had several groups of friends and family come to visit and all raved about the location and the comfort of the home. We hope to come back to Maui and will definitely try to rent this location.

This is the condo you want to be in if you are staying at Honua Kai. It has the best location in the complex. True luxury throughout. This is not a "standard issue" condo. The furnishings and art you can tell were picked with care. The host has thought of virtually everything. Each time we asked ourselves, I wonder if they have that, the answer was yes, right down to the insulated sippy cups for your island cocktails.
We visited with our adult children and their spouse/significant other. It's perfect for 3 couples because each has their own room and bathroom.
The host also provides a local concierge that gave us many great tips on restaurants and activities and booked us an incredible snorkeling trip.
I can't say enough good things about this property. Enjoy!

Our Hawaii vacation at Honua Kai was spectacular. The condo is amazing, from the views to the hospitality. There is everything you need for a great stay in this condo. Evelyn is great to work with and was in contact with us during our stay to check in which was very kind. Candice, the on-island concierge, was fantastic…very helpful & responsive. Our only issue was limited parking. The resort converted almost half of the guest parking lot to valet parking during our stay. The valet spaces sat nearly empty while the self-parking spots were in very short supply, particularly in the evenings when returning from dinner out. This condo & owner are definitely recommended for anyone planning a Maui vacation!

This is a beautiful condo with an amazing ocean view. We spent 7 days with my family including three grandchildren under 8. There is plenty of room, the master suite is especially lovely and the second suite spacious too though smaller. The third room is a large single room without in-suite bath, though full bath right down the hall. We had three families so we just reserved the hall bath for the family who didn’t have an in-suite bath. It worked out just fine. The condo complex and three pool area is beautiful. The grandkids loved the water slide. The only minor difficulty was that poolside service must be put on a credit card rather than the room due to rental through third party, VRBO.
The property owner, Evelyn, was very helpful and had a genuine interest in our time in the condo being special and comfortable. Concierge service provided through owner and by Candice was exceptional. We arranged excursion and chef services through Candice that all worked out really well. Candice also connected me with a SUV rental service. We rented two new SUVs at very reasonable rate with airport pick up and drop off. The entire week was fabulous making wonderful family memories!

I can't begin to describe how great our stay was. I searched for a great place to travel to with my family to celebrate my late wife's life and this couldn't have been a better spot. Between the ocean views, the BBQ on the Lanai, and access to all the great amenities at the Honua Kai, this vacation will be remembered for the rest of our lives. Hopefully some day we can return!

Evelyn is so sweet and accommodating, and her home was absolutely perfect for our group! The view was incredible, and the home was even more spacious than I thought it would be from the pictures. We were traveling with four children, ages 4, 6, 8, and 11, and they all had an amazing time at the resort pools, slide, lazy river, etc. It was so nice for the adults to not have to drive anywhere when we wanted to have a lazy morning. There are also restaurant options both at the resort and only a short walk away. We took advantage of the fully stocked gourmet kitchen and grilling area, and we were easily able to find everything we were looking for. One of the best parts of the trip was being able to gather around the dinner table outside, be surrounded by that gorgeous view, and connect with each other. With other rentals that I've stayed at, I've always noticed a few little things that give away that the unit is a rental. Evelyn's place is the first place I've ever rented that is truly decorated and maintained as a home, and we're so thankful to her for sharing her home with us! We would love to stay here again in the future!

The condo was/is fantastic, 2400sq ft of pristine space. Beach front views that overlook the pool areas, you definitely feel like royalty staying here. The location makes it easy to run up and down if needed and you can easily see your party at the pool to wave hello. We took advantage of the patio space with morning coffee and evening wine, just so much real estate to move around.....oh, I found the perfect napping spot off to side on the lounger...was simply amazing.

This property is not just stunning with the perfect location the owner has stocked the condo with all you need to prepare the perfect meal. Sitting here having our last coffee overlooking this magnificent view, with gratefulness in our hearts for such a wonderful stay. This place is near perfect, in location, amenities, beauty, and layout. It was just easy to live, work, play, and rest here. Evelyn and Anthony have really thought of everything you would need to live comfortably. Also, every person that helped us enjoy our stay here, from their on Island conceirge Candice Negron to the staff at Honua Kai to Bobby and Matias at “Let me show you Maui” to Caitlyn and Kevin Maratea at Banyan Tree Divers, they all had that warm Aloha spirit and kind hospitality that made you feel like family. What an incredible place. Why are we even leaving?? (Alas, my 11 yo son misses his puppy, and it seems we have a home out east to care for) Sigh* We hope to return. A Hui Hou, sweet Maui!!!

The condo at Honua Kai was perfect for our family (3 adults, including one senior and two teens). Unit was well spread out so privacy or together time was easy. The best part of the unit was the large lanai which gave a glorious unobstructed view of the ocean. Spent every morning sipping our Kona coffee while watching whales. Close to many activities. We took a great whale watching tour and checked out a wonderful luau, all in Lahaina. The resort has several pools and hot tubs, plus Dukes Restaurant is a nice treat on the beach. Property Owner was very responsive whenever anything popped up. Highly recommend.

Our stay was great despite COVID19. Great view and you can see whales from balcony! I would definitely come back to Maui and stay here. Evelyn was kind enough to extend our stay one night to allow us to reschedule our flights to get back home early! This is a great location to go anywhere on the island. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay at your home.
