Only stayed one night, but the checking process was smooth and the condo had everything we needed. Great kitchen, quite a few beach accessories available including chairs, and close to all the public beaches. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had an enjoyable stay at this property. Overall the condo was great! The location was easy to walk to the Shops at Wailea and the pool was just across the street. The roof replacement unexpectedly happened our last day and a half so we lost time outside which was a bummer but not the fault of the property owner. Ralph was extremely responsive when I couldn’t find linens after 24 hours of travel and was kind. We would love to stay at this property in the future. Great location!

Pros location is great. Neighborhood is great. Lots of room. Nicely furnished. Host is incredible. Pools and hot tubs are nice. Parking is good.
Cons. Patio is not really useable but could be. It backs up to a tropical forest beside either a dry creek or ditch. Lots of bird poop. We rented adjacent studio for one week and that was convenient. However when other guests stayed next door it was a little awkward on patio. More attention to detail is needed in cleaning like doors, handles, light switches and ceiling fans. White carpet is stained. Other guests food and meds were left in cabinets.

Nice little condo very close to all the Wailea amenities. Yards away from the shops. Pool directly across from the unit (although I didn’t use the pool). Check in was easy, Ralph provided good directions and was easy to communicate with.

We stay in VRBO’s all over the place and this one is without a doubt the “best stocked” I’ve ever seen. Everything you need for a beach day. Kitchen is great too. The bed was very comfortable. Walking distance to shopping, access to two swimming pools.
The condo would benefit from a deep clean - that is our only critique.

Ralph was a lovely communicator through the whole booking process! 6 of us all had our hair and makeup done here before the wedding and there was plenty of room to do so. Highly recommend staying here!

This was our first trip to Maui and we couldn't have chosen a better location or condo. Amenities galore plus tons of items available for our use - snorkeling and beach stuff and plenty of spices etc in the kitchen.
Several conversations with the owner prior to our trip put us even more at ease. Comparing our total costs to local hotels etc proved this to he a very good deal.
All in all, if we ever return to Maui it will be to this place. No questions about it.

Ralph and Janice made it very easy to book and complete the paperwork for their nicely decorated and very comfortable condo. The location was great. Even though my husband could not travel with me as planned, I felt perfectly safe and comfortable in the condo. Other family members were staying nearby and it was a short walk to join them daily. The condo is super well equipped with all the supplies and amenities you could imagine. There was a problem with no internet service during my stay but Ralph arranged the service call to address it. I chose not to worry about it.
I would definitely consider another stay here on a subsequent visit.

We had a nice and comfortable stay, 4 stars for location because it was a little far from the beach. There were a couple things that needed to be updated/repaired, like the shower knob, and the Tv in the living room did not work.

There is so much to offer in this property. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the cooking materials as well as the beach chairs and towels that were provided. This is a great location, with a short drive to many beaches and walking distance to the community pool. However, we did have issues with mice while we stayed. We contacted Ralph and he sent someone to set up traps the same day. That is the only negative experience that gave this apartment 4 stars instead of 5 because overall it was clean and Ralph was very helpful.

very close to many wailea beaches, unit was clean, comfortable, and really enjoyed the extras - boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, many spices, condiments, etc. We didn't walk to beaches, but there were a few that were close enough to walk (Ulea beach was nice) but we usually bring all our stuff and drive, really enjoyed makena, white rock/palauea beach. Keawakapu beach had medium waves for body surfing, Makena were bigger and a bit more dangerous. Maluaka beach was very pretty.. Condo had everything we needed for exploring this area, all beaches were within 15-20 min, and kihei stores and restaurants were a close drive also. Not a beachfront condo, but we didn't need that, and it had all we needed, but clean and nice, and drove and played at a new beach every day

We have stayed in Grand Champions many times, and this is the best maintained property we've rented. Nicely updated condo, large shower, granite counters, high-end appliances. Well stocked and supplied, including a variety of spices, condiments, blue ice, filtered water. Lots of pots and pans, utensils, blender, coffee maker, microwave. Comfortable furniture, quality linens and towels. Good A/C. Great variety of beach supplies and equipment. Full-sized, new washer/dryer. Highly recommend this rental.

My mom and I were on Maui for a wedding this past December and stayed here. It was a great place for two people. It was very comfortable and clean, as well as having a well-equipped kitchen. We didn't hear noise from any of the other units and the parking was very convenient, too. It was a great value for the price. The owners were great to work with. I always got a very quick response with any questions that I had. I would definitely stay here again!

This property was a great place to stay in Maui, close to everything, gorgeous sunset views steps from the condo, lovely pools with BBQ area. The condo is very well equipped with cooking utensils and appliances for those who like to make some meals at home. The kitchen is kept stocked with staples like olive oil, spices, coffee, sugar, and non-perishable fridge items like mustard and ketchup. The rule is use and replace which is both environmentally responsible and cost effective for guests. Use the last olive oil, buy a new one but no need to replace the 3/4 full ketchup. Brilliant idea and much appreciated. The closet is stocked with beach chairs and towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, coolers and everything else you need for a great day at the beach. We would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back sooner rather than later.

I have been to Hawaii a number of time and almost always rent a condo for my stay, so have had a range of experiences with rentals. What I really appreciated about this rental was the well appointed kitchen with good quality kitchenware, there were not one but two knife sharpeners! It might sound like a small thing but if you like to spend time in the kitchen this is an important check mark. The numerous kitchen gadgets, high end pots and small appliances that work well was a pleasantry to have.
The bed was comfortable; so often properties posted this claim but fail to mention it in the past tense as I am sure their beds were comfortable once upon a time, however that time had long since past. The newly renovated bathroom off of the bedroom was nice.
The condo is an end unit, which is a bonus as you only share one wall with the neighbouring unit. The balcony backs onto a wooded area which offers privacy, shade and birds. I thought being close to the driveway might cause some extra noise from vehicles coming and going but it was not issue at all. In short this home at Grand Champions was perfect and I am so happy to have found it.
If anyone asks me for a recommendation in Maui I will be sure to have them check your place for availability.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Unit 2, and couldn't have asked for more. Not only did the condo cover all of our basics (kitchen, laundry, lanai), but it also came with great extras: boogie boards, ice chest, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear (we ended up renting our own from Snorkel Bob's--about a 2 minute walk from the condo). The security staff and the rental office were very nice and helpful, and the pool and barbeque area were great to relax and cook at the end of a long day. The condo is in a great central location--close to Monkeypod (the mai-tais are to die for), The Shops At Wailea, and many beaches including Ulua (about a 1.5 minute drive or an 8 minute walk from the condo). We were able to snorkel and even see sea turtles at Ulua, but it wasn't overcrowded and felt like our own beach--plus you can walk along the shore for miles to many other beaches. Kihei is a short drive, and great for restaurants, local bars, etc--a more 'local' vibe than Wilea. We felt a little weird eating Italian food in Hawaii, but after a long day on the road to Hana, we decided to go for it; our snorkel guid recommended Fabianos, which offers gluten-free pizza and pasta options (a real treat for me because I'm gluten free). The rest of the trip was complete with dolphins, turtles, hikes in pine trees and fog, road to Hana, Mama's Fish House (splurge but delicious and has excellent service); but best of all, it was great to have a home to return to at the end of the day. We enjoyed our trip so much that we are planning on moving to Maui next summer--until then, I will be staying in Unit 2 on my visits and highly recommend it. Thanks again Ralph & Janice!
