We had a wonderful time during our stay! The host was incredibly generous and left some snacks for our family, which was a lovely surprise that we truly appreciated. The house was the cleanest we've ever stayed in and was very quiet. In the evenings, we enjoyed sitting on the patio and taking in the beautiful view of the ocean. The place was well-equipped with everything we needed, from beach gear to kitchenware and supplies. It truly felt like our home away from home.

Great communication. Beautiful place. Perfect for 3 adults. My only complaint is noisiness of the main bed. Birds were our wake up call each morning around 5 am. Lots of geckos were cool. Very well stocked placed with many extras. Would highly recommend this place. Way better than a hotel room.

Many nice amenities found here not in other places on Maui we have rented. Excellent AC and internet service. Computer in the cottage you can use. The fridge had a giant basket full of bars, fruit, cheese and other items. Also had OJ and milk and some other things. Communication with the owners was easy and fast. Actually, can't say enough good things. A very nice experience for us all.

The property was in a very convenient location, close to Safeway, shops and Foodland. They have so many amenities available to us, boogie boards, beach chairs, hiking gear, binoculars, towels, basically fully stocked kitchen. Perfect place for two couples or less. I would gladly come back to this vrbo location!

Joe and Mary Ann have created the most complete and comfortable home in an amazing location in Maui Meadows. Completely secluded on a private property in beautiful Maui but incredibly close to all the great beaches and activities/restaurants. This beautiful home lacks for absolutely nothing as every need had already been anticipated and supplied.

We loved our time at the Rainbow Deluxe guest house - truly a hidden gem! The house was exactly as described, although the pictures don't capture the beauty of the surroundings. The house was well-stocked with all the essentials needed in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, as well as for outings and activities. Joe and Mary Ann have thought of everything. We were thrilled to find a welcome basket with fruit, snacks, and coffee as well as a fresh pineapple, upon arrival. What a nice surprise. The beds were so comfortable and the linens and towels were high quality. We felt pampered after long days hiking and scuba diving. The cottage is in close proximity to the beach and relatively close to Haleakala National Park and other hikes. We usually spend most of our time away from our accommodations when travelling. In this case, we felt very torn and longed for more time at the house, which was so relaxing. On the day we checked out, we were able to spend several hours on the lanai drinking coffee and enjoying the surrounding nature. We will be back!

We had a great stay in Kihei. The apartment was perfect and we felt very welcome. The location in South Maui is close to many beaches, some for snorkeling, some for swimming, some for bodyboarding. We even spotted turtles! Good coffee bars, restaurants and foodtrucks are also nearby. We definitely recommend!

This place is so nice, we’ve now stayed here twice! Spotlessly clean and well supplied with everything you need, from a fresh pineapple and welcome basket of goodies that lasted the whole week, to all the beach supplies imaginable, to the plushest bath towels this side of the Four Seasons. Not to mention the full-size washer/dryer so we could return home with clean clothes. Our thanks to Joe and Mary Ann, with hopes we will have an opportunity to stay here again!

We were blessed to be able to stay at the Rainbow Deluxe in July, 2022 for 15 nights. This was the 6th visit to the RD Cottage and we have enjoyed every time we have stayed there.
It is a wonderful 2 bedroom/2 bath home in a quiet neighborhood called Maui Meadows. It is the located close to the Wailea and Kihei beaches, shops and restaurants. You can get to the beach in 3-4 minutes and shops within 5-10 minutes.
The owners, Joe and Mary Ann, have thoroughly thought through the needs of the Maui Vacationer and provide just about everything that would come to mind to make it a special and memorable one. You do not have to spend valuable vacation time shopping or renting items such as boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, coolers, and even backpacks, pole and binoculars for hiking.
The exterior is always manicured and well taken care of. The property has always been pristine upon arrival and we are always impressed by additions and improvements installed by the owner over the years.
The interior is the same as above, it is always neat and organized and everything is well stocked to make the stay as comfortable for guests. In addition to comfortable living quarters, there is a nice kitchen, sitting room and closets for ample storage. We appreciate the gift basket with drinks and goodies waiting for us in the fridge upon arrival.
Although there are many sights to see, experience and shop on the island, the true gem of this location is that it matches up with our Ohana's vacation style of relaxing, rejuvenating and taking in the mana of the island.
This has been the perfect place to serve as home base for our surfing, skateboarding, and continuing to bond as a family. We enjoy going to populated places such as Ka'anapali, Lahaina, Kihei, and Wailea, but also appreciate that we can also stay at the cottage to do what we call "Lanai Therapy" to do things such as yoga, meditation, bird watching, taking walks in the neighborhood, watching the sunset, and star gazing.
Although there are some really good restaurants with ocean views on the island, they can be very crowded and ocean/sunset view seats are not guaranteed. One additional gem we have come to enjoy is cooking meals on the BBQ grill and having a relaxing family dinner outside on the shaded Lanai while looking at the ocean view and sunset and not have to fight for a reservation.
We look forward to coming back in the future.

This is a lovely 2 bedroom home situated on a manicured yard tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood just off a main highway. The only sounds were the birds/roosters and we felt very safe. You are close to all the Wailea/Kihei restaurants/beaches and a good central location to all of Maui. The home is in great condition and well cared for. It has all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay (great AC, the best shower water pressure I have even experienced, robes, softest bath towels that I wish I knew the brand of because I would buy them immediately, quality beach towels/chairs/umbrella, snorkel gear etc). This is a special home and we wouldn't hesitate to return!

We were very happy we chose the Rainbow Deluxe cottage for our twelve-night stay on Maui. It’s a well-equipped, quiet place to escape the very busy beach areas of the island. As long as you have a vehicle, you can easily access everything Maui has to offer from here. Our hosts were quick to respond to our questions.

What’s not to love? Once again impressed with the extremely clean cottage, the views, the landscaping, the comfort. Joe and Mary Ann have thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The linens are high quality, the appliances (including full sized washer/dryer) are all in good working order, great water pressure. The welcome basket and extras (milk, juice, yogurt, granola, coffee, and more) is delightful, and can sustain you for a couple of days. And the sunsets! We so enjoyed our time there after two years of not traveling, and will definitely be back! Mahalo Joe and Mary Ann!

I was supposed to take part in a one day retreat and give a talk to a zen Buddhist group in Wailea but because of the Covid-19 virus quarantine I could not meet with members of the community. So I had the opportunity of doing my own private retreat at the Deluxe Rainbow Cottage. The time I spent there was beautiful, restful and lovely. I cannot express my gratitude to Mary Ann and Joe for creating such an environment of peace and serenity, plus the wonderful hospitality. Even though we were all in a stressful time, I credit these property caregivers with making my stay in a valuable and unusually gracious experience. Thanks for all you did for me.

Wonderful choice in staying at this cottage! It was exceptionally clean, well kept, and well stocked. It was the perfect spot to come back to after a busy day out. Joe was always available, although everything was so well maintained we didn’t really need him, except for one minor issue that he resolved within five minutes. The property is gorgeous, and very private, and we loved waking up to pitter patter of little bird feet on the roof, as well as the happy bird chatter. The sunsets from the deck were amazing, and we spent many evenings playing cards there while the sun set. All in all, we made an excellent choice with Rainbow Deluxe! 🌈

My family of four stayed here for 10 days and couldn't be happier. The place is as beautiful as the pictures, stocked with everything we needed. The place is cozy, perfect size for my wife and I and our two young boys. The beds were super comfy, and the linens were all top notch. We absolutely loved it. We did have an issue with the internet being super slow, but Joe the owner was quick to respond and eventually fixed it. We would definitely stay here again, and hope to next year. Mahalo, Joe!

This property is very clean, everything operates in a good fashion. The owners have labeled things around the unit, so it's easy to figure your way around. Definitely will be what is advertised online. We stayed for a week and had no issues. Would recommend.

You will not find one thing wrong with Rainbow Delux. Every detail has been thought of and it is super clean! Beds were super comfortable! It’s in a GREAT central location to travel to many popular spots around Maui. We rented a Jeep and parked it under the house with doors and top off. No one bothered it. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again if we have the opportunity to go back! Joe was very nice and helpful with questions or anything else we needed!

Our family of 4 with 2 young children spent a 2-week vacation in this beautiful cottage in June. The cottage is not huge, just the right size for our family.
It is well taken care of by the owners, so it is perfectly clean and stocked with most everything you might need. They have beach gear: boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers of various sizes, beach towels. The washer and drier are very clean: no smell in the washer (so rear for vacation rentals).
The cottage is about 25-30 minute drive from the airport, 3 minute drive to the closest plaza with food and shops, 5 minute from Wailea Shops, 6-7 minute from Wailea beach, which we found to be the friendliest in terms of the wave strength for our kids. Close drive to anywhere in Kihei or Wailea.
We met the owner several times - he was always willing to help us with anything we needed - THANK YOU so very much!
Just a wonderful experience all around! We are looking forward to coming back!

My Girlfriend and I stayed here for almost 2 weeks. Absolutely wonderful place, it was so private, quiet, romantic. Well stocked with everything you need for outdoor activities. There was a nice selection of (mostly local) snacks and drinks to get you through your first day. It is extremely well maintained, and was super clean when we arrived. The bed was huge and super comfy, all of the furniture and appliances first rate. If we ever get the opportunity we'll be back!

My husband and I found the Rainbow Deluxe cottage after another booking we had made (with someone else) fell through. It really was a blessing in disguise though, because we absolutely loved our stay at the cottage and we can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return!! Jo & Mary Ann's place is in a quiet, secluded location that's much more Wailea than Kihei. Surrounded by gorgeous trees that shade the cottage and separate you from the other home located on the property nearby. You really feel you are in your own little world tucked away inside the cottage. Everything we needed was there--dishes, snorkel/beach gear, etc and it was decorated beautifully. We were actually coming for our wedding and there was a beautiful basket of welcome goodies waiting for us upon our arrival which was exactly what we needed after arriving after a long flight 5 months pregnant and stressed to get everything in order for the following day! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower had excellent pressure. Loved that we could park our rental car under the little car port area also. What really sets this place apart though are the owners--Jo and Mary Ann were so sweet and accommodating of us. Our rental car wouldn't start the morning of the wedding and Jo was nice enough to drive me to my 6:30am hair appointment and my husband to go pick up another rental!! Really we would've been lost without these guys. We look forward to coming back after our little one arrives and are thrilled there's a whole other bedroom/bathroom available so we can bring another couple along with us!! Fantastic value and excellent customer service! Thank you guys so much for everything!!

I'm not exaggerating in my title. I've visited all of the islands, multiple times over the years, and the owners of Rainbow Deluxe have really given a lot of thought to guest needs, comfort, and experience. I no longer need to search for a place to stay on Maui, I'd prefer to stay at Rainbow Deluxe.
Starting with the beautiful grounds, the unit itself is well appointed and just enough 'up the hill' to enjoy the peaceful, neighborhood location. The 'thoughtfulness' starts with a wonderful basket of goodies, designed to get a stay started without a trip to the store, on the day of arrival. There were sufficient supplies in the bathrooms, for the two of us, for the length of our stay. The choices of towels, pillows, bedding, kitchen and beach supplies were all high quality and provided. This tea drinker was VERY happy with the hot water tap!!
We began and ended each day of adventure on the generous lanai, the west view affording a sunset view over the ocean. We didn't experience a rainy day, but there's a retractable cover, which would have kept the lanai useable had there been. Lots of motion lights keep paths lit when you're on them, but allow darkness to surround for stargazing at night.
The location is just above Wailea and Kihei, affording easy access to beaches/services there, while allowing simple access to other points of the island. For me, the Kihei/Wailea area is a perfect 'middle spot' for day trips to anywhere on the island, and we took advantage.

This little cottage is packed full of extras: upon arrival you will find a food basket full of goodies, all the beach necessities you could need, a well-stocked kitchen and wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows!
We (three adults) were worried about the small size of the cottage but the attention to detail and well-planned use of space more than made up for the lack of square footage. It actually gave me many ideas to incorporate into my own future small home.
The location is perfect for those not looking to stay in a resort area. Many great beaches and restaurants are literally minutes away in Kihei and Wailea. Lahaina is an easy and scenic 40 minutes away and the airport is less than a half an hour.
I could go on and on so I'll just say one last thing- - -choose the Rainbow Deluxe cottage, you will not be disappointed!

Upon arriving at Rainbow Deluxe we were exhausted. We were so delighted to open the fridge and see essentials already for us! This condo is clean and centrally located. From the patio you can see the ocean. The bed are so comfy and we love waking up and seeing the ocean out the bedroom window. Our family enjoyed the convenience of having all the beach supplies available to us. We love staying here and can't wait to come back. If we needed anything (at all) Joe and Mary Ann where so gracious to help.

My wife and i spent one week at the Rainbow Deluxe house, exploring Maui's sights, beaches, and restaurants. We both agree that everything about this property was fantastic. From the beautiful grounds to the superbly maintained interior, this is the perfect vacation spot. The pictures do not do justice to how amazing Rainbow Deluxe truly is. The owners have stocked the house with basic amenities beyond what you would expect. Additionally, the coolers, beach supplies, and entertainment options only further demonstrate their commitment to providing the renter with an enjoyable experience. We were easily able to access the entire island from this location, with most of the best beaches a fifteen minute drive or less from the driveway. The proximity to Wailea and Kihei also provide quick access to some great restaurants. As a bonus, the covered parking meant we didn't have to put the top on the rental Jeep until the day we returned it. We would highly recommend Rainbow Deluxe to couples or small families looking to see the island.

This maui cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Very well kept! The beach ammenities were very helpful to have on the beach day...it was such a nice surprise to see the welcome basket in the fridge to make our first night stay comfortable. We loved that there was a washer and dryer so we could wash our things from being out at the beach and hiking.we would for sure stay here again!

Absolutely amazing condo! The pictures can't do it justice!
Upon our arrival we found fresh fruits (bananas, papaya, pineapple), cheeses, pastries and coffee, with a lovely card that stated "complements of Rainbow Deluxe for your first day in paradise". Also included were some wonderfully scented toiletries, amazingly comfortable robes, 4 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, umbrellas, and toys for the beach.
The beds were incredibly comfortable too. Memory foam tops (I think) and amazingly comfortable pillows too! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Much thanks to Rainbow Deluxe for making our stay in paradise that much more memorable!
