Aloha, E Komo Mai..... Welcome to Hale Makamae-Maui, a luxury first floor condo in Wailea's premier Grand Champions Villas. Our home is unit #103 on the east side of the complex. Spend your vacation enjoying this 1 bedroom, 2 bath unit that provides ample space to spread out, benefit from the warm tropical breezes and take in Maui's beauty and wonders. Enjoy the peaceful and quiet setting of the Villas which will afford you the rest and relaxation Hawaii is known for. Precautions We are Taking: As you all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the Hawaiian Islands, guests, travelers and those of us who own island homes. However, Good news!! Maui is once again open for visitors. You can now travel to Maui without quarantining upon arrival if you take the appropriate Covid-19 Test 72 hours or less before you leave for Hawaii. The test results must be negative and administered by a Hawaii Trusted Testing Partner. Testing Information can be found on the following official website: https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/ Additionally, you can rest easy here knowing that we are taking extra precautions to ensure your safety and protection against the virus. Here are but a few of the things our staff is doing: 1. We are blocking out 1 full day between each guest departure and the next guest’s arrival to allow for a complete top to bottom cleaning and sanitizing the unit. 2. The unit will be completely ventilated before and during the cleaning process. 3. Our cleaning staff will wash and sanitize their hands, wear gloves and masks while cleaning to ensure we maintain a clean environment. 4. Beyond our normal cleaning steps, enhanced cleaning protocols are in place which includes cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces and using approved sanitizing products. 5. We will sanitize high touch surfaces in every room, including doorknobs, TV remotes, slide glass door, key lockbox and other surfaces. 6. All dishes and laundry items will be washed at the highest heat setting possible. We offer contactless check in and departure to ensure your safety and peace of mind. Of course, our island manager, Paradise Comforts is here, on island, to assist you with any issue or should you have any questions, and of course, contactless as needed. You can be assured that for us, protecting your health, your peace of mind and ensuring a relaxing stay is our first priority. Beyond the response to the Pandemic, we want to make sure your stay is a comfortable one. Therefore, our unit has all the necessities for a perfect vacation: comfortable furniture, complete kitchen appliances and fixtures throughout. The floors are tiled throughout with the exception of the plush carpeting in the bedroom. Every detail has been considered to provide you with all the amenities and a homey comfortable feeling that one would expect of a quality vacation home in a resort area. As our guests you will have access to all the complex’s facilities including the 2 pool areas with spas and outdoor barbecues. You will be able to conveniently park in one of the 2 parking spots, one assigned immediately outside the front door, and the other an open guest spot. (Please note that during this Pandemic, the rules for pool use have been slightly modified. Please see the most recent pool rules at the bottom of this description below, as well as the latest updates posted in our island home. However, the pools are open and available for your enjoyment!) Here you will find free wifi access to High Speed Internet service (up to 100Mbits/sec download speeds), a full selection of cable TV channels, 2 internet connected HD TVs on which you can access your NetFlix or Hulu accounts (service not included) , blu-ray players with a selection of DVDs, and free local and long distance telephone service for all the US and Canada. The unit also has a radio/music player that accommodates Smart Phone, Pads and other Bluetooth enabled devices. There is even a printer available for your use. All of these amenities and facilities are included in your nightly rate, no "resort fee", no parking fee, and no wifi access fee. This is an all inclusive rate. From the lanai, you will find beautiful views of Wailea’s Old Blue golf course, the slopes of Haleakala and the ever changing colors of a Maui sunset reflecting on the mountain. Watch for various wild life including egrets, Hawaiian cardinals, other variety of birds and occasionally wild axis deer. You are but a 5 -10 minute drive away from some of South Maui's best swimming and snorkeling beaches, including Ulua, Mokapu, Wailea, Polo, Keawekapu North and South to name a few. If you prefer, Ulua Beach Park is only a 10-15 minute walk away. To help you enjoy your favorite beach, we offer beach chairs, a beach bag, coolers, boogie boards and beach toys that the young ones can enjoy! Golf is also readily available at the world famous Wailea Golf courses, including Old Blue which we overlook. There are several others in Wailea, Kihei and Makena which are but a short distance from our front door. Tennis is available at the Wailea Tennis club which is only 5 minutes walking distance from our home. Additionally, other recreational activities are available close by including boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, and many others. Of course, if you prefer, unwind and rest in our home and on the lanai in the shadow of Haleakala and take advantage of the warm embrace of Maui's trade winds. If shopping is in your plans, then The Shops at Wailea are a required stop and only a 10 minute walk away. This premier shopping complex is home to more than 70 distinct boutiques, shops, restaurants and galleries. Here you will find everything you might need from sundries and snacks to services and fashion including Island Market, a mini grocery store for those last minute food essentials and prepared meals. In addition to these stores, you are within a short drive of several well stocked grocery stores, including Safeway, Foodland and Times, several drug stores and many other retailers. For your dining pleasure you will find excellent options at the restaurants located in The Shops at Wailea including Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth Chris, Longhi's and Kai Wailea or at the Gateway Center which has the delicious Monkeypod Restaurant and Pita Paradise with wonderful Mediterranean cuisine. Within a 10 minute drive, a wide selection of restaurants to fit every taste and budget. Or if you prefer, stay in and enjoy the creature comforts of home and take advantage of the gas barbecues within the complex, and the fully equipped kitchen. MAXIMUM OF 24 PEOPLE IN THE POOL AREA AT THE SAME TIME The pool near the WATER FEATURE: Open to all residents from 8:00am until 10:00pm. MAXIMUM OF 18 PEOPLE IN THE POOL AREA AT THE SAME TIME • If you are sick do not come to the pool areas. • Six (6) foot social distancing must be practiced at all times. • A mask (covering your nose and mouth) must be worn in the pool area unless you are seated or actively swimming. • Limit 6-people per condo in the pool area at the same time. • Items left unattended for 30 minutes will be removed.
