We had an amazing trip. Condo is as advertised you’ll have phenomenal views everyday we saw turtles whales and a monk seal all from the lanai. We will definitely be coming back.

We stayed at this condo during whale season and, as the description says, it is the best spot for whale watching! The entire place is beautiful and clean with a spectacular view and access to the beach. The pool area is great too! There are 2 clean grills and a full kitchen.

We found the unit to be comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials. The lanai put us front and center for great whale watching. We spent hours enjoying the breeze and the sounds of the surf. Amazing location.

We LOVED this place! Cathy’s description is 100% accurate!
The unit had everything we needed and more - microwave, fridge, blender, air conditioning, bath towels (so soft), beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, free parking, pool, hot tub, tv (which we didn’t use) and binoculars (which we used a lot). The only thing we needed was another pair of chopsticks to eat the poke we bought from Foodland. haha.
Great location - short drives to Kapalua Bay Beach, Whaler’s Village and Lahaina. Steps away from the beach. Times market and food trucks were just down the street. But the best part was looking for whales right from the lanai during our breakfast and enjoying the sounds of the ocean waves each evening.
We just left, but are already trying to figure out when we can go back!

we could unfortunately only stay for 4 nights, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. watched MANY many whales play right in front of us on our last morning. we did not want to leave. many little things (binos, cooler...) helped us enjoy our stay to the fullest. great place: well appointed and clean.

The property is as advertised. The condo is very nice, convenient amenities. Access to local beach within short walk. Million dollar view from the lanai.
Cathy the owner was very responsive to small problem and very easy to work with. She give very clear instructions and offers advice on things to do and where to eat.

This was a fantastic location with a great view. Big bedroom and big living room area. Good amenities in the building. Free and always available parking. I couldn’t get enough of the view and the sounds of the ocean right outside. Amazing host and amazing unit.

My husband and I stayed in this condo for a week and it was spectacular. First things first, the lanai has a gorgeous view of the ocean and neighboring islands. We spent hours outside, just enjoying the view and sound of the waves. The condo itself is well-appointed, with comfy furniture and all the basics you need, including towels, chairs, etc. for the beach. I'd also like to compliment Cathy on her outstanding communication. Everything was seamless and she answered questions almost immediately. We intend to come back and have every intention of staying here again. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a fabulous stay. I'd like to stay in this unit on every visit to Maui. It was quiet and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the views were breath taking. As soon as we opened the door, we watched whales breeching like crazy. We also watched the turtles swim by. Amazing unit! Thank You!!!

We had a great stay at Maui kai 1004. We didn't even need to go on a whale watching tour, We spend our mornings and evenings soaking in the sunshine on the lanai, seeing the whales breach and spotting turtles.

This is a beautiful place to stay! My husband and I came to Maui for a four-night getaway before the holidays. The pictures are accurate - the view from the lanai is incredible! We sat in the mornings and evenings watching whales in the surf. And the sunsets were amazing! The location is fantastic - walking distance to Kaanapali Beach where you can snorkel right from the beach and there is also a little shopping center within walking distance for groceries and shaved ice and a group of food trucks that we utilized for dinner some of the evenings. It was very conveniently located, so nice to be able to walk to things. We highly recommend this spot and would absolutely stay at Cathy's place again!

If you are wanting to enjoying views of the ocean and hear the waves, this is the place! The condo was clean and had all the amenities you need- like a well stocked kitchen and excellent parking.
There were some minor items that needed attention, but upon asking the owner, one was required building code and couldn’t be changed. The owner was very responsive. You really can’t beat the views- the sunsets were incredible!

Our Lanai could not have been any closer to the ocean! We were blessed with beautiful weather, landscapes, activities, and accommodations. The condo was exactly as advertised. We were very pleased, finding the condo clean, well appointed, and in a convenient location! We stayed 4 days in Honolulu and 4 days in Maui, but wish we had spent a day less in Honolulu to have another day in our Maui paradise. We hope to be back again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the condo. The view was great and enjoyed watching the surfers. My only suggestion would be to have a taller table and chairs on the lanai so you do not look through the bars.

from the beach on the top floor. The owner was awesome to deal with. Try this place out. You owe it to yourself. We saw titles and spinner Dolphins and the whales were just coming in.

My husband and I stayed at the Maui Kai for two weeks ( Sept 20-Oct 4, 2014) and it was perfect! The condo is on the 10th floor right on the water!! We spent hours on the lanai watching sea turtles, stingrays and other sea life! The location can not be beat. Beaches, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, walking paths all nearby. The owners welcomed us with a Hawaiian gift basket when we arrived!! They emailed us before we came and provided us with detailed information, as well as providing us with a local contact number if necessary. The condo itself is very comfortable and has a fully equipped kitchen. Do not hesitate to rent this condo you will not be disappointed. It absolutely has the best views of any condo on the beach!

We really enjoyed our stay at Maui Kai. Our family included two adults and two kids. We watched fish and turtles from the lanai with the binoculars everyday.
The room was cleaned and very well stocked. We had plenty of towels and even extras like boogie board and beach chairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
My only suggestion would be a book with suggested activities and recommended dining. This was our first trip and some local information would be helpful.
There was a gift basket waiting for us upon arrival which was a welcome surprise after a long flight. We will definitely recommend this property. Thanks again!

We stayed in Cathy's unit at the Maui Kai in July 2014 and it was very nice. Beautiful oceanfront penthouse condo unit, with all of the amenities that you would need. We saw turtles right out the window, and sometimes just stayed and lounged right on the patio as it was so nice. The times supermarket and ABC store are both a block away and everything you need is right there. I would also recommend the little ONO tacos place store right next to the ABC store right close by. I would highly recommend this unit, and would like to go back sometime :)

Had a great stay at this condo. The views were amazing. There was snorkeling right out the door but the current right there may be a little strong for young kids. After a day on the beach in the sun, we also enjoyed barbequeing by the pool in the evenings. Everything was clean and in good condition. The whole complex was spotless and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time at Maui Kai! So close to the Ocean but very quiet. We saw turtles, whales and dolphins right from the Lanai. The condo has binoculars and a conch shell horn to blow at sunset along with all of the neighbors in the complex. We will definately visit again and stay here.

We stayed for 11 days from March 3 to 14 and had the most wonderful time. We could not believe how wonderful the location of this condo was - any time we looked out from the balcony, we saw maybe three or four whales breaching and there were always turtles swimming right in front of the condo building. This may have just been our luck and that particular time of year, but it was so wonderful! We will definitely be back!!

The location was a perfect fit for our getaway trip to Maui. Whether we were listening to the waves, admiring the sunset, or watching the whales playfully swim, by the views were priceless. The room was equipped with island music, guides, and other misc items that were helpful to settling into the Maui mindset. The location of the building was close to many wonderful beaches and restaurants. We would definitely stay here once more on our next vacation to this beautiful island.

We went to Maui for a family vacation. We selected this condo because of the description of great views. Every word of that description is true! This 10th floor condo has unobstructed 180 degrees view of the Pacific! It is beyond AMAZING! We even saw some whale activity from the lanai and several turtles coming very close to the shore too! You can fall asleep on the lanai (balcony) reading a book and listening to the gentle lapping or the roar of the waves depending upon the tide. When you get out of the building from the back, you actually step onto the beach. Enjoyed walks on the beach and all the frolicking in the water.
Although the building is not very new, the condo unit is well-maintained. It is also equipped with everything you would possibly need. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed some quality family time, away from the demands of our busy professional lives at home.
We visited all the tourist attractions on the island. You would need a car if you are planning on sightseeing since the public transport did not seem to be dependable on the island in general.
Cathy is prompt and very helpful in answering all the questions. I would recommend this condo for family vacations without any hesitation!

Went to this condo as a girl birthday getaway and it was just what we needed. The condo was simply decorated and very clean. The sound of the waves was nice but a little scary at night as it was a pretty windy week. I slept on the hide a bed and my friend used the bed which was fine but I'm not sure it would have been very comfortable if a couple were using the hide a bed for a week. We took the time to go ziplining at Piiholo Ranch and conquered our fear of heights. Very worthwhile. Restaurants: Leoda's, Star Noodle, and Pizza Paradisso, which is in that plaza across the street from the main entrance. Cathy was great in answering any questions and did a great job of making us feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were in Maui for our honeymoon, and stayed in the penthouse for 5 nights. Upon our arrival, there was a gift basket and card waiting for us on the kitchen table. The view is stunning. The condo was exceptionally clean. Every amenity was provided. We really appreciated the beach chairs and cooler, which we used every day. The air conditioning was great. We were never too hot. The laundry facilities are across the hall, and were very economical. The building itself was clean, quiet, and the staff were friendly. We used the common area to bbq twice, with no problems at all. Didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean. We would recommend this condo to everyone we know. We loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our October 2013 stay in this perfectly located beach front condo. The morning and sunset views of Molokai and Lanai from the balcony are lovely. Beaches for all activities are adjacent to the condo and ocean front restaurants for lunch or dinner are within a leisurely beautiful walk along the beach. Our high praise too is given to the owner who promptly resolved some unanticipated issues. This is a great find at a very reasonable price.

After spending 7 days in Kauai we wanted to rent a condo for our last 3 nights in Hawaii, which is difficulty to do as most require 5-7 night minimum. We were pleasantly surprised with this condo! The location is good, the condo was immaculate, and we were greeted with a nice gift basket! The price was cheaper than a hotel stay too! I would definitely recommend this condo. The proximity to Duke's Beach House is great! We snuck in to their pool area at Honua Kai for a day too! :)
