This Grand Champions - One bedroom condominium is just a short walk to the ocean. The ground floor unit features easy access and a reserved parking space in front of the unit. It features a large bedroom with a comfortable, king-size bed and a "fainting couch", a living room with a full size futon and a couch, a full kitchen, dining area, full bathroom with a two person shower and a tub, and a lanai featuring tropical garden views - with a waterfall and stream in the winter months when we get enough rain.. While it is a ground floor unit, the lanai is raised about six feet off ground level (no outside access). Floor space is approximately 900 square feet. See below for other details. This is one of the best units in the complex, quiet because it is on the edge of the property, and shaded for most of the day so it is cool even in the summer.

This is the most affordable, one bedroom condominium in one of the finest resorts in the world. You get a clean place to rest or hang out by the pool and you can walk to all of the other great stuff. Please be advised that the building roofs in the complex are being re-done through early December 2024. There is a break in the work between 12/7/23-4/1/24. Our building is scheduled for 8/2/24-9/4/24, and the one right next door for 7/5/24-8/5/24. I will not be renting our condo during those two periods. In general, the condo association has promised to limit the impact to pool use and parking, but I expect there will be some. Please consider this when making a reservation in this timeframe. Also, we now have two 2018 low mileage Honda Pilots that can be rented for $50/day each. This includes all taxes and fees on my end. Turo may charge additional fees. The Grand Champions property features two pools with whirlpool spas, barbecue facilities and lush gardens. It is surrounded by Wailea's award winning Blue Golf Course and Tennis Club. Ranked in the top 50 best resort tennis facilities, the club boasts 11 plexi-pave courts, three lit courts for night play, a stadium court, paddle tennis and a full service pro shop. Guests will receive preferential golf rates/reservations at the Wailea and Makena courses.

Located in the heart of the Wailea Resort area, on Maui's sunny south shore, Grand Champions is just a short walk down the hill to the Shops at Wailea, and to two new shopping centers up the hill. Great places to eat in both. We are just from Ulua Beach (ranked eighth in the nation - world class snorkeling and diving too), Keawakapu, Mokapu, Ulua, Wailea Beach, and Polo Beaches, spa facilities and award winning restaurants. Grand Champions is a private enclave in the midst of Wailea that offers its guests all the wealth of this world-class resort's environment and a touch of seclusion that sets it quietly apart. The architecture is classic, the environment peaceful, the landscaping lush, and the views are exceptional - including the world's largest dormant volcano, Haleakala.

Kihei is a few minutes to the north. This is much more of a busy, touristy town. You can find lots of stores there to get groceries and other stuff; and some good, inexpensive restaurants. There is also a shopping center a few miles up the Piilani Highway, with a Safeway for food supplies..

Discover Hawaii's fascinating undersea world on a snorkel or dive trip. Explore the beautiful Hawaiian waters aboard a private yacht charter or observe nature on a whale watching tour. For those who would like to remain on land, Hawaii offers adventurous bike tours and eco-tourism hikes. Visit Ahihi-Kina'u Natural Area Reserve, Kealia Pond Wildlife Refuge, or the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary. Maui is a treasure of cultural and natural sights just waiting to be explored.

This condo is Non Smoking, including the lanai area.

Check in time is 3:00; check out time is 11:00. You MUST be out of the condo by 11:00 so it can be cleaned for the next occupant unless we have agreed to a late checkout in advance. Note that we do not provide shower/bath/cleaning products as most people prefer their own brands. And we just provide a "starter supply" of toilet paper and paper towels.

There are no pets allowed in the condo complex.

Please note that the condo you are renting is not a standalone, isolated unit. Understand that as in hotels, the condo shares interior walls with two other condos. Since this is an end unit only one wall is shared, with another condo of mine. As this condo is on the ground floor there is also a condo above you. The walls of my units have blown in soundproofing material to mitigate noise issues. Also like a hotel, there is a (locked) connecting door between my two units which is not sound proofed and can also be a noise source. Please be aware of the potential for noise from adjacent units and at the same time be considerate of other guests, particularly at night.

Cancellations and refunds:

There is a 25% deposit to book the condo. Another 25% is due 60 days before arrival, The balance is due one month before arrival. If the balance is not paid at that time, the reservation may be canceled.

The condo is clearly advertised as “NON-SMOKING”, including the lanai. If you are found to have violated this, you will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee.

The condo and location were absolutely wonderful. We watched tropical birds in the garden from the lanai, walked to pretty beaches to see sunsets, walked to Happy Hour at close-by restaurants. The host was very responsive. The unit was very comfortable because of the ceiling fans and ACs. I can’t say enough good things about it.

We Maui often to visit family and have stayed in many different places on the island. This condo stands out for many reasons. It is as described - large, well-maintained and in one of the nicer parts of the island. It's in a very nice complex, near amenities and the beach. We were just two, but this unit could comfortably sleep another two on a futon in the large living room. The kitchen worked for breakfast and you could have prepared all meals as it is fully equipped. The owner/manager was great. In short, we'll rent again.

This year was our fourth stay at this condo and it never fails. We tried other condos -good and not so good but we always come back to this one. There beds are very comfortable and for our family of three that doesn’t stay inside the house very often, this was the perfect place to stay. It is also great in the way that you are within walking distance of beaches, and shopping centres, with a variety of restaurants in the area. This condo is right in the middle of a beautiful golf course with tennis courts and pools nearby. The perfect ingredient for a perfect vacation!

Mark’s place was beautiful. Set back far from the parking lot, it was quiet with only the Myba birds making noise (very fun to hear!). The view of palm tree, plumeria, bouganveilla and other flowering shrubs from the lanai was gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and all very clean and well appointed. The coconut lamp in the bedroom was my favorite. There was hand soap, shampoo, hairdryers (3), dishwashing soap, plenty of towels and comfortable couch and futon couch in living room. We ate meals on the lanai, which was the only time we heard our neighbors at all. Did not use tvs, but there are 2 nice flat screen tvs. Kitchen has everything you need and also very clean! We walked to Ulua and Wailea Beaches, rode our rental bikes (Boss Frog’s in south Kihei-3.5 miles away) to Kameole Park Beaches I, II and III and had yummy fish tacos at Coconuts (2nd floor branch across from Kameole Park Beach I). Highly recommend Pita Paradise in Waile Gateway Center-lamb kabobs, hummus & grilled pita appetizer and baklava ice cream cake were terrific, as was the service and live music (acoustic guitar w/singer) on Sunday evening. Fun riding bike but wear helmet. Lots of tourists driving looking at the pretty flowers, not for bicyclists. Would give this place a 10/10 and planning on coming back in a year or two!!

I had a great experience staying here! I had no issues during my 6 night stay. The place was clean and the photos were accurate. I found this place to be quite spacious which was nice. It is a bit outdated but everything worked and we were usually outside anyway. The location was also convenient because it was within walking distance of things.

Although property is not on the beach, it is close to great Wailei beach. Many restaurants In the area. The unit itself is a bit outdated but everything is in good order and accommodating. The owner was helpful with our needs.

Clean and close to Wailea and ulua beach! I would drive so you can bring gear more easily, like chairs, coolers, and umbrellas. 4min drive vs 15 min walk, 45min-1hr walk at toddler pace. The place was exactly as described and shown in pictures. Would stay again! Thanks!

The locations and amenities are fine --- the major issue is the fact that the master bedroom is rented out as a separate unit and the walls are super thin within the same unit. The tenant staying there that weekend woke up our family on BOTH nights we were there. The first time was around 10pm, which wasn't too bad though our daughter had just fallen asleep, but the second night it was at 4AM in the morning. I had to knock on the adjoining master bedroom door to ask them to be quiet, which was terrible and awkward and kept us all awake for some time. DO NOT stay here until you are a night owl yourself. Furthermore, the pillows have seen better days and our bedroom door has slats (like for a closet door) and therefore did not block out light or sound from the living room (where our child was up at all hours due to the fact that the futon she was sleeping on was right against the master bedroom wall where the other tenant was staying).

The place looked clean and well maintained. The location is decent, but all the food places nearby are a bit expensive. But a 3-4 mile drive takes you to the best beaches and food places. It’s important to read the directions for finding the unit, and parking very carefully. Otherwise you can be lost in the property. The owner isn’t very prompt to replying to messages.

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was really well located next to the shops and quick drive to many beaches. It is right next to the tennis club, where we played multiple days. The condo was well stocked with chairs, umbrella, and cooler for the beach. Has everything you need!

This property is exactly as advertised. Full kitchen, laundry machines on the lanai, parking right out front. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Wailea beach walk, although they no longer charge for parking at the shops there, which is a 2 minute drive. Highly recommend, would stay again!

What a sweet condo! We stayed for four nights and enjoyed them thoroughly. The unit was quiet and clean with a deck off that back opening to a bird infested ;-) tropical garden. We spent every morning, after a swim at Ulua Beach, drinking coffee and listening to the avian chatter. Totally pleased.

Mark, We enjoyed the stay overall. However, there was a problem with ants and the bed was super hard. You may want to consider getting a mattress topper and spraying for ants. In addition we were not pleased with the difficulty locking and unlocking the door. The water took extra long to get hot and there was no hand soap. It was very difficult to pull out the futon it was getting stuck and we felt uncomfortable like it was going to break. The trip was a success for my birthday and you have a convenient place near a lot of places. Thank you for your hospitality.

Our stay in your condo was great! Everything was so clean and tidy and so much space for just the two of us. The grounds of the condo property were beautiful and we loved that it was actually within walking distance of a lot of great spots (we walked to a lovely coffee shop just across the main thoroughfare everyday, actually). We had everything we needed and we only wished that we were staying the area longer. Communication with the owner, Mark, was easy and very fast. This was our first experience with renting a private property and the entire experience was positive. Booking was super-easy; the condo was great - just as described. Plenty of space for a family of 4 - 2 parents, a teen, and a tween. The location is awesome - several times we remarked how glad we were to be staying in Waliea as opposed to nearby Kihei. The beach walk/path from beach to beach and alongside the high-end resorts was great. Very easy access to all the beaches. Lorraine, the on-site contact/concierge was terrific - when we arrived in the first evening, the condo was open and waiting, with a nice note on the door and a box of Cara-macs!

Staying at this condo was perfect! Location in Wailea made it easy to get around the area and the island in general. Within walking distance of the Shops at Wailea and the beach, unless you are carrying a bunch of things! We loved the fact they had beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, snorkel gear and boogie boards. That saved us a lot of money right there. Having a washer and dryer also was a bonus. The condo is easy to find, in a quiet location and parking right in front was helpful. When other people talked about the birds they can hear while sitting on the balcony, they weren't kidding! It was so relaxing and pleasant to have coffee in the morning and listen to nature's symphony! Condo stayed very cool with the fans that we hardly ran the AC. Condo is roomy and well appointed with full size appliances and fully stocked with dishes, cookware and storage containers. We've been to Maui four times now and this is probably our favorite location now. Ulua beach (closest beach) is one of the best on south side of Maui in our opinion. We saw whales from the shore and saw a sea turtle while snorkeling right off the shoreline. Would come back to this condo in a heartbeat!

My wife and I stayed at this Grand Champions Villas condo for three weeks, enjoying its excellent amenities. While we were here, we also met the owners, Mark and Kathy, who assisted us directly when a few ‘technical’ television/internet/phone glitches occurred early on in our stay. These issues were dealt with quickly and to our full satisfaction. This condo is nestled in a very quiet area of the villas, backing onto tropical vegetation, which gives this unit shade, and the abundant foliage is home to many wonderful song birds. Each day, at dawn & dusk, the birds give quite a performance! This is an excellent location, and condo! This condo is a very practical unit for a longer stay. It is roomy, homey, & has a collection of DVDs, paperbacks, beach towels, and beach equipment for the renter’s use. The king size bed is extremely comfortable. The full size washer dryer is handy, in a closet on the lanai. Access into the condo is very convenient as the assigned parking spot is directly in front of this building, and there are and no stairs at all, to enter this unit. This particular condo has a local contact person (Lorraine) who can be telephoned regarding any concerns, and she is prompt and helpful. We are impressed with the Grand Champions Villas complex and its location, which is tucked in a quiet area of Wailea, away from any road noise, yet, with easy access to a highway bypass, for easy driving to other parts of Maui. The Grand Champions Villas have a security guard on the premises at night, and well lit pathways. We so enjoyed the Grand Champions complex, and this particular condo unit, that we have already booked to return next winter!

We decided to book a condo instead of our usual hotel for vacation. I was excited about being able to cook for my family and being in a more home like environment. I was also a little nervous not knowing what to expect. Let me just say, I can't imagine a vacation being any better! From the moment we pulled into the complex until the day we pulled out. The condo was very open and spacious. My family of four was very comfortable. Mark has thought of everything. All the necessities but in no way cluttered. We can't wait to go back!!

We spent a week at Mark's condo at Grand Champions. Maui was our third stop for our Hawaiian vacation, having spent a week in a condo on Kauai and a week on the Big Island with friends. We were glad we saved Maui for last as it was our favorite island. Mark's condo was such a wonderful place to call "home". It was well furnished; very clean; the bathroom was quite large with both a separate shower and tub; the kitchen was well appointed with everything needed for cooking/eating and the bed was so comfy. The pictures posted don't really depict how large the unit is. We were so pleasantly surprised how much space we had! We also had access to beach and lounge chairs and water sports equipment. The grounds are very well kept and the complex is quiet. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai having a drink or breakfast and listening to the birds. In terms of value and "bang for the buck", this condo is A1. We can't imagine anyone preferring a hotel stay over this type of living. We highly, highly recommend Mark's condo and hope to visit again sometime.

Our family enjoyed the 6-night stay at Mark's condo very much. The bedroom and living room are spacious and neat. The kitchen is also nice and clean with almost everything we need. It just feels like home esp. for our 2 boys. The convenient location (close to shopping mall and the Wailea beach) and beautiful surroundings are great pluses. Comparing to staying at hotel it provides us tremendous flexibility for our everyday schedule. The overall experience is better than what we had expected.

My wife and I stayed at Mark's condo for 4 nights at the end of October. The place was tidy and well stocked with essentials like pots and pans, beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipment and DEFOG solution! We especially appreciated the large refrigerator, which allowed us to stock up on food from Costco. One tip: the new Island Gourmet in the neighboring Shops at Wailea had quite reasonable groceries despite being next to Prada and LV.
