My reason for coming to the islands was a little bittersweet... My Mom died during COVID and this was the first opportunity to come to Hawaii where she was raised and distribute her ashes off of Waikiki. Maui was the second part of the trip and my husband and two of our best friends wanted a space to start the healing process. This place was perfect. It allowed us to have meals while looking at beautiful sunsets. We loved how close it was to shopping, restaurants, and most of all the beaches. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We spent 9 nights in this condo the end of March. Everything was as described and it worked very well for our group of 6....grandparents, parents, and 19 month old. The condo was well equipped and had all that we needed, including a port-a-crib and high chair to attach to a dining chair. We also appreciated having beach equipment...4 chairs, an umbrella, and towels. The location was great and was easy walking distance to Charley Young Beach.
Laurie was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with! We appreciated her prompt replies to all of our questions.

Kihei is an excellent location for exploring Maui. We found that we spent much less time driving than our last time on Maui when we stayed at Kapalua Bay. We appreciated short walks to 4 excellent local beaches, on site tennis courts and nearby food truck courts. More excellent beaches are also within 30” drive. This is a good location for snorkelers, tennis enthusiasts, golfers, runners and swimmers. I worked with the owner for late checkout but was not able to get the code to work for the extra day. This was not a major problem. We also ate the majority of our meals at this condo.

Overall it was fine. A few problems with cleanliness - pillows need replacing (and pillow protectors) as they are marked for replacing but they are still being used. Upstairs king bed needs a memory foam or something as it’s very springy (probably fine for children). On removing the pillows from the upstairs pillows they were marked “for pillow shams only not for sleeping on” - they found this after sleeping on them for two weeks. The downstairs shower had mold all over the shower liner, the rubber bath mat and the plug. I bought another liner then found one under the sink later. Cleaners should have seen this. Otherwise it is a very nice property.

Great location! We have stayed at Maui Vista for over 20 years and this is the first 2 bedroom unit. Everything was perfect, from comfy Lanai furniture to King Size beds. All appliances are very modern (not always the case in units constructed in the 80s). The extra large (expanded) Upper bedroom makes a huge difference. We had 4 adults with all the luggage necessary for golf equipment so there was lots of room to store (this is rare!). As always, Maui Vista is so perfectly located and well kept up as to be one of the best values in Kihei.

Everything went smoothly with our rental experience. We were a group of 4 adults and two children. Used tennis courts and pools. Condo is centrally located in Kihei so access to water activities, beach, bike rentals, tours was perfect. Received condo in excellent condition. Would rent this property again!

Two 70 yr old couples stayed here. The kitchen is well supplied and the beds are comfortable. It is a longer walk to the beach than I expected, on a slope. But the closest beach is very nice.

We had a 10 out to 10 experience from ease of booking, communication from the owner, the property and unit has all the amenities you need for a great Maui vacation!
This is our first trip back to Maui in 12 years and my kids first time. They are 7 years old and 5 years old. Working directly with the owner was great and thorough instructions. I loved that we had email communication and text message follow up. We texted the owner about pool key and the iron. There were immediate messages from them.
The location of Maui Vista is fantastic ease to get to downtown Kihei, Wailea, and back on highway to get to other parts of the island. We walked and drove our car.
The pool was great It is small but was perfect. We only saw two other families and did not feel cramped. We did not play tennis or use the BBQ...not this trip but will next time!
The unit itself is great! Every thing you possible would need to have a great vacation. We took advantage beach toys and chairs. I appreciated having all the instructional manuals in case we needed them. All appliances have instructions like the washer and dryer which we did use. I appreciated that in the cabinets everything was labeled and with the exact # of each dish, cup, etc. I really appreciated have a Brita for filter water and a very good ice machine for our water bottles.
We are a family of four with elementary school aged kids. This unit was the perfect size for us. We look forward to our next visit!

The location was great for east beach visits. Close to restaurants/shops. Parking at location was easy. Checkout was a breeze. Since we had an early morning flight we didn’t have to stress about washing anything which made the entire stay even better

This was our 7th stay at various Maui Vista (MV) units. We continue to choose units at Maui Vista for their combination of reasonable pricing with great access to the balance of what Kihei and the surrounding activities that south Maui - from Ma’alaea to Makena - offer.
For those who have not stayed in Kihei before, you should be forewarned about the busyness (and noise) of Kihei Rd. in front of the MV development (primarily impacts building #1). But being on Kihei Rd. also means you have easy walking access to multiple shops and restaurants, something that is not true in many other locations.
Choosing this unit in building three provides maximum quiet, but a little longer walk to Charlie Young beach. Most people consider a patio facing the parking lot a second choice from an ocean facing unit - we disagree because we were able to enjoy a cool drink on afternoons on a shaded patio rather than having the glare and heat of the late day sun.
In the unit itself, the upstairs is more recently updated and is cute in every way. The downstairs is a bit older, but well maintained and stocked. The brand new full size washer and dryer were appreciated. The kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware, pots and pans and everything we needed. Our only complaint was that all knives were terribly dull and the provided sharpener was useless against them. Clear instructions for using the TV and internet were appreciated, although the absence of a stereo was a surprise. A larger coffee table in front of the couch would have been appreciated for reading, meals and TV watching. Also, we would have appreciated a couple stools for when we invited guests to join us on the patio (all the patios are small - the kitchen chairs are too big and the one stool in the unit was so rickety that we didn’t dare use it).
Beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler are provided, a boogie board was absent and would have been appreciated.
All in all we found this unit to be clean, well stocked and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and got what we expected for the pricing. And in our mind, Maui Vista continues to be a winner in terms of location and pricing.

Of course one never wants to leave Hawaii, this condo was so cute we decorated and had everything we needed. I, the grandma, slept on the daybed upstairs and my daughter and toddler slept in the big bed on the other side of my curtain. Dad and nine-year-old slept in the bedroom downstairs. I became very attached to the condo and wish I owned it! Highly recommend.

This is a great condo in a perfect location--right next to one of the best beaches on Maui, and walking distance to many great restaurants. We had our 2 grandsons staying with for us for a couple of nights and they loved the upstairs bedroom. The king-sized bed in the downstairs bedroom is very comfortable; the condo has great recreational equipment to use and the kitchen has pretty much anything you might need. It is in a very quiet and peaceful location. The lanai faces the perfect direction because it offers some glimpses of the ocean but never gets direct sunset at anytime during the day. We never used the air-conditioning because the fans and the breezes coming thru the condo provided all the cooling we needed for comfort day and night. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great condo in what we think is one of the best locations on Maui--we have been to Maui many times over the years and we always stay at MauI Vista.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment. It was clean and tidy with a lot of amenities like a coffee maker and waffle maker, as well as extras like beach chairs, umbrella, and a few balls and sand toys. The layout was ideal for us as two groups of two adults and one young child. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and a breeze to work with. She even went above and beyond and mailed something to us that we had left behind.
The location is very close to Charlie Young beach but not right on the street so as to be bothered by the noise. There are a lot of shops, surf schools and restaurants/cafes within a short walking distance. There is also a nearby park which is a great place to watch the surfers or to let kids play on the equipment. Having driven around other parts of the island, we were so happy we chose Kihei and even happier that we chose this apartment. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking to vacation on Maui.

I can’t say that our stay was optimal, but I’d still recommend this rental. During our week long stay, the downstairs bedroom AC unit was broken during a heat wave (nullifying the normal cool breeze through the unit) and the only other working AC unit was on a timer so you had to wake up in the middle of the night to reset it to get any artificial cooling, there were several other issues that might be associated with any property that had the misfortune of affecting our stay (prior to our arrival, a clogged sink, broken toilet seat, and later, a microwave malfunction), and the property management company wasn’t great (missing their stated service window by five hours and ignoring other messages).
That said, they’ve apparently since gotten a new AC unit, the owners were wonderful, responsive as much as they could be at a distance, and proactively helpful, check-in was a breeze, and everything at the property was as advertised - great location, props for the water pressure, and a well-equipped home that had all the amenities of a place that people actually live in (beach chairs, some toys, tennis rackets, tools, batteries, ingredients, plastic wrap, utensils, so many extra fans… - great stuff!). A great beach is right across the street, lots of food within a few blocks south… our group of five including grandparents and a seven year old, AC issues aside, really enjoyed our time in and around the place.

I am so happy we rented this property for our Maui vacation. The owner, Laurie, was so communicative and helpful during the whole rental process. The condo had everything we needed and is a perfect location to travel the island from. The beach across the street was a quick 5 min and walk and was gorgeous especially at sunset. I highly recommend this property.

This condo was perfectly situated to do all the activities that we had planned for our week on the island! We found it to be a great home base and refuge to come back to when we wanted to rest in the afternoons. Laurie was immediately available when any need came up. The condo was just as presented on VRBO. Check in was easy and Laurie was great with communication. Best aspect of the stay for us was the location of this condo. Right across the street from Charlie Young Beach, which is well-protected from large waves and great for snorkeling. It's not nearly as crowded as the beaches up north at Kaanapali, which has large resort hotels. Condo is also less than a mile from numerous local restaurants - highly recommend That's a Wrap for healthy food and Pizza Madness for... less healthy food... We'd definitely stay in Kihei during on next visit!

Amazing place and a great location. The owners were great to work with and communication with them was very easy. Place came with everything needed: beach chairs, cooler, tennis rackets, and more. The short walk to the beach was covered with flower petals everyday. Snorkeling at the beach rocks is awesome and only a short walk to surfing and Kihei Caffe ( amazing breakfast but get there early)
