We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was lovely and well stocked. The owners were very responsive to questions. This is the first time we have stayed in town and were expecting lots of noise from Alii Drive and nearby restaurants. We were surprised by how little noise there was. The views from both decks were great. We slept in the loft bedroom and really appreciated the AC. We only used it at night and it quickly and quietly cooled the bedroom area. AC was available downstairs, but we didn't use or even need it there. The pool was large enough for my husband to do his daily lap swims. We would stay here again.

Wonderful property, clean, organized, well equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay. The beach gear was great to have, I know it’s possible to rent snorkeling gear and chairs, but having it available in the room was fabulous, especially the coolers. The humidity was a lot for someone who comes from a state with very low humidity so the A/C in the rental was a blessing.
Sitting on the balcony, watching the waves while I drank my coffee in the morning was my favorite activity. Easy access to the property. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
We will absolutely stay there again!

Mary and Mark were super welcoming, and gave us our privacy when we wanted it while also being responsive when we needed it.
The location was super convenient in the heart of everything, and the unit itself was exactly as listed. Actually, we were a little nervous going in about the loft concept, but it ended up being no problem at all - it might as well have a been an actual second bedroom.
The unit is also well equipped with A/C, which we didn't think twice about, but our friends directly next door didn't have A/C at all and needed to use floor fans, making it super uncomfortable for them to sleep at night.
Would book again.

My family of 4 (wife + two kids, ages 18 and 20) just spent 8 nights at this great condo. Not only was it clean but it had plenty of unexpected essentials (TP, laundry soap, coffee filters, tons of towels) and extras (snorkel equipment, beach chairs, beach umbrella, coolers). View of the beach is actually better than it looks in the pictures. The balcony is perfectly placed to see the incredible sunsets (that somehow last close to an hour!), while the other area catches the morning sunshine. Pool was bigger than the comments made it seem (though since it feels like peak tourism hasn't kicked in yet, perhaps it feels smaller when its more crowded). Last big plus is the location. So many restaurants, bars, and stores are within walking distance, plus you can get anywhere in town or on the island from the trolley stop across the street. First trip to Hawaii (in celebration of my daughter's high school graduation) made perfect in part by the A+ accommodation. Almost forgot the great communication from start to finish!

The condo was everything and more that we could have asked for. Two lanais, one in the sun, one in the shade. Views of the ocean from both sides. Laundry, 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen.
I have only one suggestion: The downstairs bedrooms was very warm and we couldn't cool it down. I think that is because it faces south, getting the most heat, and the door is the only opening so it doesn't get much exposure to the cool air coming from the upstairs air conditioner, despite having all fans on.

We arrived very late at night so I was thankful that Mary had sent me detailed information on retrieving the key from the lockbox. The condo was very clean and very well stocked. The only thing missing was a packet coffee for our first morning. However, we had a great breakfast and coffee at Kai across the street. The only thing I would suggest is to leave instruction on how to turn on the tv and where to put recycling. Mary was fantastic to deal with and always answered my questions very promptly. The location of this condo was spot on and we had some great views. I would definitely recommend this condo to others. Mahalo!

Property had a really nice pool and the unit had coolers, beach chairs, towels, and snorkeling gear which was great! Very open floor plan and most of all, the location was awesome! Step out of the building and you had restaurants, shops, and farmers market within 5 minutes walking distance. Bathrooms on the main floor a little outdated but clean and was a huge plus to have 3 of them for our family of 4. Definitely would stay again!

I love this location. You basically walk out the building and have restaurants and views all around you. A few nights the noise from the restaurants or people from the restaurant were noisy quite late into the night but given the location that is not surprising. Mark and Mary have done an amazing job at updating&decorating and keeping the condo supplied. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely book again! Thanks Mark and Mary for sharing your home!! Oh and the beds are very comfortable too!! And the roof top deck is amazing for morning coffee!!!

This condo had everything thing we needed. The owners we so responsive. The location was perfect! Coffee on the lanai every morning watching the waves was so relaxing. Condo is conveniently located in town. There is even a little beach across the street. Would definitely stay again.

I surprised my best friend with a Hawaii trip for her birthday. Thankfully Mark & Mary's place was available and perfect for the occasion. The parking, location, layout, amenities, household supplies / appliances, cookware with utensils, beach supplies, toiletries, and other novelties were all perfect. Everything you may think you'll need for a Hawaii vacation, Mark & Mary had it. There were even 2 sets of house keys. The sun screens (spray and lotions) available to use if you forgot to bring some was another plus.
Our entire 9 day stay was fabulous. The only down part is that there was a very bad storm while there and the winds were blowing so hard I thought the windows were going to shatter. I'm a So-Cal girl who's not used to extreme weather like that. I thought it was a hurricane...My bestie said that was nothing (she's from Tennessee so she knows extreme weather). As a result of the high winds, a tree fell and knocked down power lines near by and caused a 2 hour or so blackout. Thank God for the emergency/safety equipment in the cabinet (batteries, heavy-duty flash lights, candles, matches, so on), we were prepared.
Anyway, Mark & Mary's condo is located in the village and is on the top floor. The upstairs bedroom/loft has a lanai with great mountain and ocean views. The upstairs shower is another oasis. It was great to shower after a long day of hiking and exploring.
The property has a heated pool and it is very clean, relaxing, and huge. There are 2 BBQ grills and one of the grills have the side cooking area so that you can use to prepare other dishes. The noise level on the property is respectful. You only hear noise from the traffic and other village patrons enjoying their time if the lanai doors are open. I loved it (Hawaiian vacation vibes).
There are plenty eateries, coffee shops, and bars just feet away so you have many food and libation options. The Farmers Market is less than a 10 minute walk which was another plus. You can get fresh fruit, vegetables, and coffee from local Kona growers.
If you're looking to get away from Kona, Hilo is about an hour and 30 minute drive. There, you can visit lava tubes, black sand beaches, and rainbow falls to name a few places. Oh and for some good grindz or authentic hawaiian cuisine, try Kaaloa Super J's family restaurant in Captain Cook (try the pork laulau).

We stayed two weeks including Christmas and enjoyed our stay. The condo is well appointed and has everything to make a stay comfortable. The location was good and within walking distance to many places to eat, shop and enjoy. The bed was very comfortable as well. Nice that there was a dedicated parking space. I would have liked to use the pool more but it was mainly shaded. Overall, this was a great unit in a great location.

We walked to several restaurants and shops during our weeks stay. Everything you need is provided in the condo and grocery stores are only a short drive away. The building has good security and the views from the unit are awesome!

Absolutely love the location; middle of Kona town. Great views of the ocean and the village. We saw spinner dolphins in front of the complex from our lanai, grabbed our snorkeling gear and went swimming with them! A tricky ocean access, not for everyone so be careful, guess that keeps the crowds away. Walking out of the complex, there's the ocean. LOVE the 2 lanai and 3 bathrooms; I've stayed in this unit 3 times in the past 6 years.The recent upgrades in this unit are beautiful. Enjoy the food and local grown coffee at nearby Bongo Bens!

Great location that had 2 fabulous views from one Lanai and a walk out deck. Nice to have 3 bathrooms as well. Walking distance to shops and restaurants with beaches close by. Modern updated kitchen and upstairs air conditioning unit that quickly cooled both floors when needed. We only used the pool a few times but it was nice and clean.

Great time! Very comfortable. Fantastic location - walking to town and restaurants. Our second time to Kona Alii and it was outstanding again! Assigned parking space is a huge plus. Condo has all the toys for the beach. Owner very helpful with arrangements.

We stayed at this condor for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were beautiful, the views perfect and the ability to watch the sunrise from the deck and the sunset from the lanai is unforgetable. There are TV's in each bedroom plus the living room, the kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the closet in the bedroom had everything one could want for a day at the beach. We grabbed the ice chest, towels, chairs, boogie boards and were off for the day. There are three bathrooms and the shower in the loft must have been recently done and is wonderful. There was enough room to be close yet get away from each other. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The condo feels like a home away from home where we could relax and enjoy the fantastic surroundings. We have stayed there a few times now, makes me feel so special. We would highly recommend the condo to anyone wanting to spend some time in Kona.

The place is amazing! What a view. I love the open feeling and the breeze that blows through. It's so convieniently located right downtown. It's an easy walk to many restaurants and shops and of course the market where fresh vegetables and fruit are available an every inexpensive. It's such a comfortable place too.
