The property is okay. Really dark at night in some places. The property we stayed at was dusty inside. Had cobwebs on the chandelier, kitchen cupboards and corners of the unit. One of the bedrooms had a musky smell. We had to turn on the a/c full blast so the smell would go away. The patio was messy and not clean. Wouldn’t stay in that unit again. Other than that it was close to town.

The grounds were beautiful. The location of our unit was perfect. Close to parking and the pool. My daughters rented a 3 bedroom very close to my room, which was great. we were there to celebrate my wife Joan by scattering her ashes off the coast of Maui. It was a beautiful ceremony.

Property is nice,. Condo was ok. The bathroom is in desperate need of redoing. Grungy… kitchen was good fairly well equipped could us another large fry pan. Lots of extras chairs, floaties etc. lady who looks after cleaning etc is wonderful.. the first night or 2 the air conditioner leaked water onto the coffee table where my sons iPad was and ruined his I pad. Contacted owner they fixed the air conditioner that we had a large bowl under now. But never any offer or compensation for the iPad. We liked the area and the outdoor private space. Overall I would consider staying again. I stayed for 5 weeks.

Building 1 seems to be older than 3, 4, 5. The rooms are smaller but adequate. There is no sound proofing between this ground floor unit and the upstairs unit so the thump, thump, thump of the guests walking upstairs was quite loud and annoying. Other than that, everything worked.

Everything is as listed! Lanai is beautiful, tropical feeling! The pool is steps away, but the greenery gives you privacy. Condo is well stocked with all the essentials, even a few extras! Bathroom is clean and bedrooms are comfortable. One chair in the living room isn’t the most comfortable, but the couch and other chair are.

First time on Maui and found the property perfect. The location to beaches, restaurants, shops, and shave ice :) was perfect.
The property is beautiful and has all of the amenities needed including games like ping pong, shuffle board, community grills, and the pool/hot tub area was more than we expected.
The unit was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Not every place provides the laundry soap, paper towels, soaps, etc but this place did.
Overall I thought Maui was just meh, this was the last of the islands for us and found the locals and tourist much less friendly than other islands. A bit pretentious but I digress. This place is great, book it, you will be very satisfied.

The condo was spacious, clean and with all the amenities we needed. The beds were comfortable and lanai lovely. Room close to the pool, which was the perfect temperature and never crowded. The grounds were well kept and the cabana the perfect place to convene for a BBQ and games. Would definitely stay here again!

WOW! This condo was perfect. Went above and beyond. Coolers, chairs, goggles, towels, kitchen ware was all provided with extras! We were less than 20 feet from the pool. Spent most of our time on the outside patio. Quiet, quiet complex with very little road noise. Beds were beyond comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Air conditioning was beyond appreciated.
Tip: spend the money and visit the shaved ice store that is next to the ABC store down the street. Also visit anyone of the beach access areas near the condo…all were great! My daughters first time swimming in the ocean at 9 and she had a blast. The pool area was spacious and very clean. Everyone was respectful of noise.
Cindy was great to work with and very communicative. Looking to book next year as well! Don’t pass this one up.
Only thing I would suggest is getting a electric griddle to speed up making breakfasts! Or bring your own from home!
Walmart and Safeway were near the airport but Wal-Mart was CRAZY BUSY. Spend a little more and stop at Safeway if you don’t want the hassle.

This condo has the perfect layout with two bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen area and a lanai surrounded by lush, tropical vegetation - steps from the resort pool. Each bedroom and the living room have AC, which was so nice on hot days! There is a gate out to S. Kihei Rd., so the beach is only a few-minutes' walk from the condo. The owner, Cindy, and on-sight manager, Lourdes, were both so nice and helpful. We truly loved our time here! The ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars for overall rating is because the sound proofing between floors isn't great so when there were upstairs neighbors, we could hear their footsteps and had trouble sleeping when they were walking around. But if you're a sound sleeper and noise doesn't really bother you, this is such a great vacay spot! The condo grounds have gorgeous, fragrant flowers, a great pool and hot tub, tennis courts and a large covered area for grilling. One tip for this condo: the entrance is a bit of a walk from the parking lot, so if you get groceries or need to take a lot of stuff to/from the car, there is a wheeled cart near the office you can borrow to haul your stuff. Oh, and the condo has a lot of beach stuff! Boogie boards, beach chairs, sand castle toys, etc. Once you arrive, be sure to look through everything before you head out to buy supplies - it's well stocked!

This condo comes well equipped, more so than others we’ve stayed at. So many basic things provided. It was super clean, cozy and had many items for the beach. The grounds are well kept with alot of amenities. Our 17+11 loved the condo and grounds. Kihei is a little busy for us as we normally stay in a different part of the island.

We have stayed at this VRBO several times and always try and book it when we’re on Maui. Best part is how close it is to the pool so we can scoot over anytime! Also amenities in the condo like snorkel gear, chairs, mats, towels make it super easy to show up and enjoy Hawaii.

Great location in Kihei, perfect proximity to every thing we wanted to do while in Maui. Small secluded because a quick walk across the street.
House was stock with everything you would need for you stay, from the kitchen, to laundry, to beach toys. Good size pool with hot tub. Enjoyed breakfast each morning on the patio.

This was an excellent property for my family and I to stay at. There were 5 of us (my husband and I and 3 kids ranging from 5-11) and there was plenty of room so we didn’t feel like we were on top of one another. The owner provided everything we needed to enjoy ourselves in Maui. The only downside was the beach chairs provided were both broken, but we didn't sit down too much on the beach anyways. It was located central enough for us to visit the west side of the island with ease. We visited Lahaina, Wailea and Wailuku easily. It's within 20 minutes of the airport as well. Another thing about Kihei though is that it gets pretty windy near the beach in the afternoon/evening, but the property makes up for it. The condo itself is at the back of the property so it's quiet and peaceful and close to the pool as well. The lanai opens up to a pretty grass area where our kids played and we were able to sit and relax. I would highly recommend this place and I look forward to going again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay in Kihei and the condo was picture perfect! Breakfast was enjoyed on the patio while listening to the many birds. The condo was comfortable and attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Plenty of linens, kitchenware and beach stuff kept us grateful for our time spent there.

We were in Maui for a wedding and a family of four. Clear instructions from the host via email making it very easy for check-in and check-out. The condo unit is located at a perfect spot within the complex. Very quiet with a beautiful view from the patio of luscious tropical plants and pool area. We felt comfortable and at home with all the amenities provided. The unit is roomy with a spacious kitchen, bedrooms, and bathroom. It is located right across the street from a beautiful beach where you can snorkel, enjoy calm waters, and take beautiful sunset walks. There’s a barbecue area with tables where we enjoyed a little family BBQ. It was great! We will most definitely return and highly recommend this unit at Koa Resort. Mahalo.

The property was very clean and welcoming.. The beds were comfortable and the a/c in the 2 rooms and main room helped adjust to the Hawaiian humidity. Loved the sliding door access to the pool. We used all of the amenities as well (huge swimming pool, brand new bbq grills, ping pong table, tennis courts) and beach access was right across the street. Location was a quick drive to Ulalani's Shave Ice, Sugar Beach Bake Shop and lots of awesome beaches.

The place is comfortable, extremely well-equipped, and low-density. The pool is nice, the grounds are nice and it’s conveniently located if you plan on driving places. (Not for waking tho)
We had a little hiccup with the unit not being ready when we got there but the cleaner was so pleasant that we couldn’t be upset.
Only real complaint was noise. No road noise, but It’s a downstairs unit and two different sets of upstairs neighbors both sounded like elephants clog dancing. I think it’s just how they were built.
Overall it was decent . Next time, I might trade the low density for more walkability to better beaches and/or restaurants. That’s a personal preference tho. The listing is accurate and the place is nice.

We were VERY happy with our stay at this property. The pool was amazing. The condo was very clean and well stocked. Small but very cozy. I only wish there was a little more light outside on the walkway to and from the pool and parking lot. But even that was nothing to complain about since the home itself was amazing. The pictures do no justice for the home. We did not expect our stay to be as nice as it was. Thank you David and Cindy for letting us stay here.

Condo unit well maintained and equipped. With comfortable furniture..The kitchen has all the equipment and tools to meet your needs. My son stayed in this unit with his children lots of beach play things. Comfortable beds and air condition keeps bedrooms cool. Lots of pool towels.
Grounds of the whole condo complex are well kept. And condo location next to pool is great with a lawn area for children to run around on.
The only thing that I fell needs to be fixed at the resort is the question of recycling.. A lot of un necessary material is going to dump instead of being separated and recycled

The apartment is exactly as described and as in the pictures. Very comfy for a family traveling with 2 kids. The pool is just in front of the apartment which was great and there are a lot of stuff to take to the beach which was a plus.

The property was clean and well maintained . Our unit was on the ground floor which made it easier to "move in" for the weekend. We were close to supermarkets which was very convenient. The kids felt comfortable being able to get to the pool, tennis court and ping pong without losing direction. Our unit was very well stocked with linens, towels, kitchenware, pool and beach toys. After arriving at midnight, we were eager to get a good rest. To our dismay, the 2nd bedroom ceiling fan was not working, and the very cheap room A/C was very loud and made a high pitched screeching sound. It was a horrible sound to have to listen to as I could hear it from the main bedroom, over the A/C in that room. We reported both items, and a maintenance man came the next evening. The A/C unit was apparently full of water and filter full of dust. Draining it stopped the screeching noise until it filled with water again(about 4 hours), or would cause it to turn off--you never knew. The ceiling fan we were told would take a week to get an electrician out. But by the end of our stay, which was two weeks, no one had been by to do it so who knows how long it had not been working... The maintenance man indicated there was a box fan in the closet to use, but a box fan in a small room like that? And they are not quiet either.
The sheets in the 2nd room were stained and thin(cheap). My companion would not sleep on them nor the pillows which looked liked they were for children. So we found a plush blanket(that seemed clean--who would use a blanket there?) to put on the bed , a thicker sheet which was for the pullout couch, and one set of the pillows from the main bedroom.
In the main bedroom I could smell body odor on the coverlet(not mine yet!). At least the ceiling fan worked in that room, and we decided the third night to move that A/C unit to the 2nd bedroom, so both rooms had some sort of air flow. There was a tower fan as well, but its blade was absolutely caked with dust as well. It had a hard time starting up with all that dust on it! I wondered about the cleanliness of my bed sheets. They seemed okay, but I found out when I went to wash my sheets...the dirtiness of the mattress cover.
So sleep was had by all, but it wasn't at all in great conditions.
The bathroom handheld shower fit into a ball and socket holder, that when it got wet, the holder dropped down and let the shower wand fall onto you (left it hanging). Thank goodness there was a wall mounted showerhead. Also the shower tap was very stiff (30 years old probably) which made turning on/off and changing temperatures challenging. There was always an inch of water at your feet as well (bad draining).
We had to fix the dishwasher soap dispenser, and huge cockroaches came out from under the stove. Sticky handles on cupboards (dirty).

Stayed at this resort for 9 days. Got off to a somewhat rocky start in that the TV was broken, there were only the most meager supplies left for us and in the morning we discovered the toaster also didn't function properly. I called Cindy ( the owner) to register my concerns. She was most accommodating ---arranged for a new TV to be installed along with a new toaster and had her on-island handyman Tyler deliver these items along with more paper products. Excellent customer service and much appreciated. This condo is at ground level with a view of the gardens and pool. It made for easy transport of groceries and luggage as there are no elevators for the second floor guests. The condo is well laid out but beginning to show its age ---small matters such as frayed pillows on the sofa, an addition TV in one BR that is not connected to cable so is only usable to watch DVD's if you happen to have them. The kitchen pots and pans are well used and many of the kitchen tools were cheap---the scissors would not cut----virtually anything. Having said that, I would stay here again----the location and the price make the small inconveniences worth it.

Cindy was very prompt and detailed with her instructions for our stay - everything was explained beautifully so we weren't confused about how to do/access anything on the property while we were there. The bed was super comfortable, the shower is roomy and has two shower heads, and it was a blessing to have the full kitchen so that we didn't have to eat out for every meal. The AC was also a godsend at night (it was in the high 80s - low 90s with high humidity during our visit).
The pool area is clean and lush - we swam in it nearly twice a day! The hot tub was refreshing to use at night when it was a little cooler. The grounds are full of wildlife (birds, geckos, frogs) and beautiful plants/flowers (hibiscus, plumeria, etc.).
We will definitely keep this property at the forefront of our minds for our next Maui trip - it was the perfect base camp for our Maui adventures!

This condo was very well equipped, quiet, clean and exactly as described. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms were great and the beds very comfortable. Kitchen is modern and had everything we needed. The pool is just a short walk across the lawn from the back door and the beach is on the other side of the main road. Great location for sight seeing around the island with a rent a car. Safeways 5 mins drive from the condo . Highly recommend this place. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This condo was the perfect fit for me and my friend. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a closet full of coolers, boogie boards, and other goodies for us to use. The location is central to many of the main sites of Maui. We did the Road to Hana, Sunrise at Haleakala Crater, relax in Lahaina, explore great beaches, visit Maui Wines, Ocean Distillery, and the Surfing Goat Dairy Farm. Kihei can get pretty hot at times so the air conditioners were great. The condo is right across the street from the beach. Rent a car and explore all the island has to offer. We didn't visit the pool but it looked great. Interesting bonus: Gorgeous tropical flowers all around the complex. At night there were frogs that hopped around the grass, snails in the morning, and little lizards in the plants. The little critters never got in the condo or in the way of the walkways. Just a pleasant surprise to notice them around the beautiful environment. Thanks for having us at your beautiful condo.

Koa resort has the potential to be great however the acoustics are terrible. The current occupiers of the ground floor unit 2e have parties every night and have no respect for anyone. They are noisy past the 10pm quiet time rule. They have been asked multiple times to be quiet and the next night they are at it again. The worst culprit is a shrieking female. There is nobody on site to make sure rules are adhered to so if you stay here and any one of the 54 units is noisy expect sleepless nights.

Incredibly clean condo! Location is awesome, just cross the road to the beach! Lots to do in Kihei. Great restaurants, and many different surf shops for rentals, lessons, etc. Pool is warm and clean, hot tub is HOT! The only thing you'll need to remember is to reapply your sunscreen. One minor little hiccup when we arrived, but it was rectified by the owner quickly and professionally. I can't recommend this place enough, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again for sharing your condo with us. We hope to someday return to Kihei.

This condo is wonderful! Very private with beautiful grounds, it's a ground floor unit only steps from the pool. The woodwork inside the unit and the wonderful lighting make for a warm and pleasant stay. The condo is very modern with everything you'll need for your vacation is provided, so just bring the clothes you'll need. It's also just a short walk to the beach.
I plan to book it again and again!

You will not be disappointed with this condo! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool area is clean and has plenty of chairs to be able to spread out. Having the condo located on the ground floor is wonderful for getting to a from the pool with ease. Inside the unit you have everything that you will need to make your vacation perfect; plenty of towels, beach gear, cookware, basic spices, washer and dryer, comfy beds and a great lanai for your morning coffee or evening drinks! Would love to stay here again!
