This apartment is a fantastic option in these uncertain times. Health and safety are more than ever the primary concerns for guests along with experiencing a living environment that promotes a feeling of well being and relaxation. I believe if you read my guest reviews you will be confident of the quality of stay you will experience. While I have always provided a clean and well appointed apartment, it is now being cleaned and disinfected by the standards set forth by the CDC and Covid 19. I call my apartment “Olu Olu”, which means 'cool and comfortable, and refreshing’ in Hawaiian. The Aloha Spirit is alive, palpable, and unforgettable. Why I love my apartment and recommend you staying in Olu Olu, Grand Champions 161: Location of Apartment in Wailea: Grand Champions is located in the heart of Wailea. This allows you to enjoy so many things without needing to use your car: walk toThe Shops at Wailea, Maui's premier shopping and dining destination, home to more than 70 distinct boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries, a grocery store, and the beach path that is oceanfront throughout Wailea and the world-class beaches and hotels. Over the years numerous smaller hotels have been built and now there are three places with new restaurants, bars, unique clothing stores, etc, all within close walking distance from the condo. Grand Champions is surrounded by these small boutique businesses and specialty stores, something you won't find at most resort areas. Grand Champions is located on one of the Wailea Golf courses and adjacent to it is the Wailea Tennis Club, which abuts one side of the Grand Champions condos (but NOT on the same side that my condo is on. You will not have to endure the whap, whap, of tennis balls. In fact, my condo is surrounded by the adjacent golf course but not close to the tennis parking lot! Location of Apartment in Grand Champions: This is an end unit in a low density complex, with nature on 3 sides of the apartment. I really like how this provides a sense of being “out of the way/private”—you will not feel that there are crowds of people around you. Accessibility to Apartment: Ground floor with the front door very close to the parking stall. This makes coming and going so easy, whether bringing in groceries/luggage or just coming and going daily (carrying beach chairs, ice chests, golf clubs etc). Ventilation in Apartment: There are windows in every room of the apartment, including both bathrooms, allowing for wonderful air circulation and minimizing the need for air conditioning, although it is available if desired. Now, picture yourself sitting on the living room sofa or private lanai, overlooking the emerald green expanse of the beautiful Wailea Blue Golf Course, and looking beyond to the sunset, West Maui mountains and a bit of the ocean. Even though you are in the center of Wailea, you will neither hear nor see traffic. Because your view is not directly west, you won't have the sunset glaring directly in your eyes—in the living room/dining room, kitchen, or lanai. You are close to the Quiet (Adult) Pool but not close enough to hear while on your lanai; it is peaceful and quiet. Late Check-Out Option: If you are leaving in the afternoon or evening, you may want to purchase this option for $100. Instead of checking out by 11AM you can remain until 6PM. This means you won't have to carry your possessions in the car all day. You can go to the beach, return to the condo for a rest and shower, and it almost feels like you have an extra day.
