Pros: The view was truly exceptional! Turtles on shore every day. Playful whales breaching. The lanai was our favorite spot. Pillows on the king bed were sooooo comfy! I would actually love to know where they were purchased from so I can buy my own. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to cook and clean. Lots of space in the living and kitchen area combined. The condo was clean and close to nearby resorts, shops and beach access. The place was quiet and relaxing. The pool was never busy or overcrowded. The host was easy to reach and communicate with. Cons: The tv in the bedroom did not work. The host responded quickly when I reached out and had somebody on site come take a look. Unfortunately, the tv never got replaced nor fixed during our 11 day stay. I would have gladly purchased a tv for reimbursement. This wouldn’t have been a huge issue except my husband and kids like to watch tv in the bed and fall asleep to it. So it made sleeping arrangements challenging without it and only left us with 1 tv in the living room. The tvs were pretty small too. Supplies were very limited for 11 days. There were only 3 wash cloths, we ran out of toilet paper, laundry soap and garbage bags. We ended up purchasing more and left them behind. The bathtub did not have a drain plug so my small kids couldn’t take baths, showers only. All in all, the pros definitely outweighed the cons (which were minimal) and our annual visit to Maui was much enjoyed.

We had an issue with the tv and she had the local cable company there the next day and the same with the door lock, when it quit working she had it replaced immediately. Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was perfect. The condo was incredibly clean, Francesco was very responsive with any questions or concerns we may have had. Condo equiped with all the amenities anyone would need including everything for enjoying a fun day at the beach (snorkel gear, fins, goggles, boogie boards, skim board, beach towels, beach chairs, and a cooler). Bedrooms/ bathroom/ kitchen clean.**** Perfect location- steps from the ocean, minutes from basically private beach, swimming/ snorkeling, shops, stores, eateries, food trucks, everything you'd want. Perfect sunsets, whale watching, turtle viewing right at the condo.2.5 miles from Whaler's village/ Black rock/ kaanapali beach with over 70 shops. Condo has 1 king bed, 2 twin beds (can be converted to king), pull out queen sleeper sofa- comfortable enough for 6 people!We can't wait to go back- don't hesitate for a second to book this condo if its open! Francesco is a perfect host!

This small condo is a good economical option if you want to stay in this area. The property manager Heather was fantastic and all over every detail which made checking in and out seamless. The only issue I had was with the bed mattress, I saw other reviews about it being very soft which I figured wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was for me and after the second night my back was killing me. Luckily there was a blow up air mattress I setup in the living room which worked great!

I stayed at this unit for 9 nights with my family of four (two adults and two kids, ages 20 and 13). I was initially a bit hesitant because the most recent review was from December 2024, so I wanted to leave a more up-to-date review.If possible, I would rate the stay 4.5 stars.PositivesThe location is excellent — close to the water and within walking distance of Times grocery store and several very popular eateries. We were able to see turtles and whales from the balcony. The kitchen is well-stocked and we used it regularly, as well as the BBQ grill. The on-site laundry facility was convenient, and the site keep the grills super clean. There is plenty of common space in the unit for everyone to relax. We played board games and read some of the books available in the unit.MinusesThe biggest downside for us was the internet. Outside of about 2–5am, the connection was extremely slow — often too slow to even load Google. After a few days, I contacted management and was advised to restart the router. The speed improved briefly, then returned to being slow again. Several reviews mentioned that the unit is a bit dated. This wasn’t a major issue for us, and the kitchen has been nicely updated. However, some kitchen utensils could use replacement — the plastic spatulas are partially melted and would be better in a heat-resistant material like silicone. There were also quite a few small ants, though they didn’t really bother us once we got used to them.

Comfortable beds. Loved the amount of fans available. Boogie boards and beach chairs were put to good use. The view was unreal- eating meals on the balcony while watching whales out in the ocean. Truly magical. Only downside was the noise coming from the next door balcony to the master bedroom. If you are in bed, you can hear every word they are saying. Not the owners problem, and not sure what could be done, but did cause us to wake earlier than we wanted a few mornings.

Loved our stay! The location was amazing. We saw other places and never once regretted staying here. We could see whales and sea turtles from the lanei. So close to the ocean. We spent many hours sitting on the lanei watching the whales, sea turtles and listening to the waves. Would definitely suggest to anyone who wants to stay in this part of Maui!

The condo was clean but outdated. The Oceanview from the garden was a stretch. It should not have come up in the filters when I put in Oceanview. Heather was very accommodating and helpful. It was walking distance to the food trucks, which we highly recommend and to Papi, where you will find the best cinnamon roll!

Everything was exactly as described. Walkable to places from coffee to dinner. Our kids in their 20s loved the food truck park for a quick evening snack. Beach access was easy - having beach chairs and coolers to use was great. The view was AMAZING. The view is always my deciding factor and it did not disappoint! I think I read a couple reviews that complained that the AC did not keep the unit cool - but if you followed the instructions and kept the shades down in the evening when the sun was going down it worked perfectly! Yes there were a few bugs here and there (and maybe two geckos in the kitchen lol) - you are on an island! It’s to be expected! Thank you for a great stay - we will be back!

From the moment we opened the door and saw the breathtaking ocean view, we knew we had found something special. This condo exceeded our expectations in every way. The décor is beautiful, it was very clean, and the space had a cozy, homey feel that made it so comfortable.We loved the location—perfectly tucked between Kaanapali Beach and Kapalua Beach—giving us easy access to some of Maui’s best spots while still enjoying the slower, laid-back pace of Maui Sands. It truly felt like the best of both worlds.The condo was stocked with everything we needed (and more), which made our stay easy and enjoyable. We especially loved opening the louvers to let the ocean breeze flow through while listening to the waves. Hanging out on the patio and watching sea turtles swim by was simply unforgettable.Laura, the owner, was wonderful to work with—very responsive, thoughtful, and caring. She even reached out immediately during a tsunami warning to make sure we were safe, which meant so much to us.We absolutely loved our time here and can’t wait to return to Maui again. When we do, this condo will be our first choice!

We had an unforgettable stay in Lahaina. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the stunning ocean views right from the living room. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee while watching the sun rise over the water—there's something magical about the way the colors change as the day begins.The condo itself is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with a tropical vibe that instantly made us feel at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with glasses, dishes and pots and pans. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a shower. We also appreciated how well-maintained the property was. The building's common areas were always clean, and the pool area was an added bonus for a relaxing afternoon. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it easy to enjoy both the serenity of the location and the convenience of local amenities.The owner, Francesco, was very communicative and gave us great recommendations for local activities. I would definitely stay there in the future.

There was a baby lizard under the toaster and a dead moth in the chandelier. This is an absolutely awesome condo. The property has a series of 2 story condos--with ample grassy areas. This condo overlooks the ocean. You are really close to coffee, grocery store and pastries (apparently Papi's Ohana has amazing cinnamon rolls--I just couldn't justify the 1-2 hour wait in line. We opted for Pau's instead.) Easy striking distance to great beaches. The amenities in the condo were great: beach gear (including 4 chairs), snorkling gear, coolers, umbrellas, etc.) The complex has an ice machine at the pool for loading up the ice chests. The condo has a washer and dryer and was well stocked with detergent (though we had already purchased some before our arrival.) The AC works great in the bedrooms--we didn't bother in the main room. The kitchen had everything you would need--and stuff we didn't realize we needed (example pineapple corer--who knew?) There's a fresh fish market across the street (though I think Time Market was cheaper) and the barbeque at the pool was awesome. I would come back in a heartbeat. The facility appears to have been around for a while (its not one of those brand spanking new condos)--but looks can be deceiving--it has been well maintained and boy was it perfect for our family. We also rented another condo nearby at the same complex for the rest of the family.) We have stayed at multiple different locations in this area over the past 30 years and this was by far our favorite spot.

This place was incredible. Pictures are 100% accurate and you can have breakfast on the deck and watch whales breach and turtles swim by without every leaving your chair. Very quiet enviroment. Excellent place to swim and snorkel right out front with steps from the property down to the water. Sand beach if you prefer is a block away and easy to access. Well stocked with many of the basic spices paper towels etc. All the necessary cooking equipment, quiet efficient dishwasher. Washer and dryer in unit. Closet stocked with all the beach/ ocean stuff you can imagine, masks, snorkels, flippers, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach hats-etc.Beds and pillows were super comfortable and great ocean sounds to fall asleep to. Grounds of entire place were always clean and well maintained walkways.Parking was easy. This place is very close to good eating establishments. I honestly cant say enough good things about this place.

We travelled here with our 4 kids ages 2-9 and it was great. My husband and I rarely see eye to eye on a place being a good size and niceness (generally his standards are much higher than mine.) We walked in the door and the first thing he said was "this is nice." It was a perfect location by beaches, great food options, and the other people staying in the complex were very nice and friendly. Overall the experience was great. We will definitely be back.

Vrbo rather misrepresented property as Maui Sands rather than Maui Sands Seaside.The unit was clean, well equipped, dated cabinets. No washer/dryer. Bed was comfortable for small person, too soft for my husband. Very poor lighting at entry to insert key to open the door. The lanai was disappointing as it was looking out at a dirt patch, fence and back of another building. Probably because a huge cook pine shaded the area. Seaside viewing area small but nice Oceanside with chaises and chairs. No direct access to beach.

This place was fantastic. Close to great beaches and food. Amazing view. It has a washer and dryer which was a huge plus for our family stay. The condo complex has a mix of renters and permanent residents, but everyone was nice. It was quiet after 10 P.M. except for the waves, which can get loud, but never bothered our family at all. The parking was excellent. The pool was nice for when the ocean was too rough for the kids. The water access is there but it is different then beach front in the typical sense, but a block away, easy walking distance, there is a great beach for families, with a playground and very mild water (at certain times) that were perfect for little kids. We saw whales and turtles from the back patio and a great view of the island (Lanai) across the channel. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a more at home feel than you are going to get at a big name resort. I really have nothing but nice things to say about this place and will stay here again if the opportunity comes around again. Thank you for the memories!

The location was good and it was amazing to hear the waves all night and we did see whales oftenThe condo was bright and spaciousHowever, there were several upgrades that needed to be done, as in the stove burners did not really work properly(when it was on low, the burner was actually on high) new frying pan is needed, some dirt and filth along the doors, several stains were noted on the bedroom carpet and the whole place needed a bit of a refresh as in a paint job and new floor mats, the lampshade in the living room was all ripped with rust, the cushions on the plastic chairs on the deck had mould on them. This might sound petty, but for what you pay I would’ve expected a little higher standard. There were areas bubbled out on the walls, and the whole place seemed kind of dowdy.Also is difficult to snorkel out front as there is always waves coming in and there is zero clarityHaving said that there are some grocery stores nearby and some food trucks

This smaller sized complex is very quiet and relaxing yet within driving distance to everything the island has to offer. Home-style rooms stocked with beach towels, a cooler, and many extras. Just a few steps away from the pool and awesome ocean views. We appreciated the dedicated parking spot. A short walk to shopping for necessities. Sandy beaches nearby. Great communication with owners.

We had problems getting into the condo because neither the key cards or door code worked but the owner was quick to help us out. The balcony looks out over the ocean and it is wonderful to hear the waves. I suggest you check the location of places you want to go and try to find a close place. It took us 45 minutes to an hour to get to the luau, snorkeling trips, etc that I had arranged. There were closer places I could have chosen but I didn’t think about the drive time.
