This trip symbolized a return to Maui in many ways for us, and hopefully symbolized the path to normalcy for its residents. We were welcomed everywhere we went across Maui with many thanks for returning to visit their cherished island. Even our host shared in this spirit by donating almost 1000 dollars of our visit to charity. Additionally, they let people stay there for over a month during the tragedy. For us this return also marked my mom’s 70th birthday, my return from 15 years ago to Maui on my honeymoon, and our kids first Hawaii adventure. On all counts this was our favorite place we ever stayed at Maui and a truly special trip. The place was great with very good air conditioning, comfy beds, and a very quiet and secluded space. Our kids got avocados from the tree outside that we ate and became a morning ritual hunting for them. We saw a whale from the balcony the last day and a turtle out in front. Our favorite snorkeling was airport beach just 10 minutes away. We ate pike bowls at miso phat only .2 of a mile away and had a whole Maui gold pineapple everyday (3 dollars at Costco). We cooked breakfast and lunch at the house and it was nicely equipped. Our host even let us check out at 7 pm on our last day for a small fee. Overall, 10/10 would definitely recommend and hope we can stay there again someday! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

So many good things to say about our experience on this trip! The unit itself is beautifully remodeled and the hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into the items they provide for their guests. Everything was very clean, comfortable, organized and Sherri was very responsive to any questions we had.
We stayed for 8 nights and had no trouble finding activities (golf, zipline, snorkeling) and restaurants to keep us busy and well fed. We especially loved the beach at the property which was never over crowded and perfect for floating in the surf.
We certainly missed Lahaina, but took the opportunity to explore more of the island than we might have otherwise and had a fantastic trip.
Respect the privacy of the locals, tip generously and be a 'good' guest and you'll see that the hospitality you'd expect from Maui is stronger than ever.

We have stayed at the Outrigger many times in several different units over the years and always have had a great stay. Communication with the property manager on this unit was exceptional. I highly recommend this property if you like a smaller complex for your vacation. Very spacious and well equipped and the ocean front setting is hard to beat.

Miranda showed us the true meaning of the “aloha spirit” during our stay. We were on Maui during the very catastrophic and devastating wildfires. To make matters worse, we got separated from our 3 youngest children for two days while on the island. Miranda and her ohana became the only contact to our kids. She and her ohana went above and beyond to make sure our children were cared for, had everything they needed, were fed, and okay until we could be reunited. She got them to the shuttle where we were eventually reunited. While it was the single most terrifying event of my life, Miranda and her ohana were the only hope we had. I am more grateful for them than I have words to express. Thank you is insignificant, but will have to do.

I was a bit nervous that the nearby beach would be awkward to get to, or just no good. But it's a perfectly nice beach. Not as great as some in West Maui, but the convenience of popping right over to it, and its uncrowdedness, makes it a great option.
I also appreciated that the condo came stocked with sand toys, beach chairs, etc.

We visited Maui for my parents 50th Anniversary. The amenities, condo and location were everything we needed for a wonderful vacation with my whole family. We had 6 adults and 3 kids (9, 6, 2) and we had plenty of room in the condo. Our family especially loved all the extra special touches the owners placed on the condo. We were so happy with our stay! It's always risky picking a place just from online reviews, but this one is a definite winner!. The property is beautifully maintained and the condo has been nicely updated. Best of all is the view from the lani and living room, stunning! When they say "ocean front" they mean it! The condo is very spacious. We had 9 adults and everyone had room. The bedrooms are spacious, as well as the kitchen and bathrooms. The lani has gorgeous views of the ocean, where I sat every morning with my coffee...perfect! I feel very lucky to have found such a perfect place large enough to comfortably accomodate my large group. The air conditioners in each room are wonderful and there are plenty of towels. Check in was easy and the property manager was readily available. Everyone in our group loved the condo and I consider myself very lucky to have found this property and hope to stay again!!

This is a fantastic property in Lahaina! It was convenient to everything we did while on Maui. We visited four of the Hawaiian islands and this was our favorite place to stay! Every detail has been thought of for your stay! The kitchen was impressively well stocked. There were all kinds of things to use for the beach and beach towels. We loved the small private beach area and sitting on the bench watching the sun set. My son loved the mango tree and we enjoyed the freshest, juiciest, most delicious mango ever! This was one of the most amazing places we have stayed! The location is unbeatable and the condo is just as described. It was clean and ready when we arrived. We had one tiny little issue in the beginning and the property manager was quick to respond, so helpful! We were worried after reading some of the other reviews that the beach area right by the condo was unusable most of the time, but we found the exact opposite! The beach was amazing! We loved our time in Maui and at this condo with a spectacular view! Every morning we enjoyed coffee outside looking out at the water and the best days included the sky lit up from the sunrise. It was great to have the beach towels, chairs, and other ocean equipment like fins and snorkels to use. We could see turtles swimming in the water and were surprised by a monk seal that popped up and even launched itself onto the beach next door. The island is just beautiful and we took it all in from surfing to snorkeling and checking out many different beaches.

We had a family of 8 staying in this beautiful place and it had plenty of space. It has been recently remodeled and everything was new and nice. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. We loved being ocean side and we sat out on the balcony every night to watch the sunset and listen to the waves lap up against the shore. We went to sleep every night listening to the waves. The location is in a nice quiet area that is close to everything from grocery stores and restaurants to activities. Highly recommend this place. Enjoyed our stay at this property in May 2023. First of all, the view from the patio/lanai was BEAUTIFUL. It cannot be beat. Beautiful views of the sunset, direct access to a small beach, washer and dryer in unit were all helpful.
Great to have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Miranda, the host, was responsive and helpful. There was a boogie board and chairs available to use at the unit, which was nice. They also had an umbrella and pool toys and snorkel gear that we didn’t use but noted they were there. It was great they had a play yard for our baby so we didn’t have to travel with one. Beach towels were helpful to have to borrow too.
Note: A little outside of town so need to drive to restaurants, other beaches, and shopping. Unit has one parking stall and guest parking was often full so had to find parking down the street since we had two cars.
Overall we are happy with our stay and would love to return someday. The location is very quiet (at least while we were there) so that was wonderful. We have two toddlers so direct beach access from our room was amazing.

The condo is large enough to accommodate our family and had all of the amenities we needed. The upstairs bathroom does not have a bathtub as shown in the video. Instead, it has a beautiful renovated walk-in shower. The location is a bit far from the airport, but close to Kapalua bay where we wanted to snorkel. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here.

This property is beyond beautiful and I would definitely recommend staying here. Our family intends to be there again soon. We had 6 adults and 2 kids, with plenty of space, an absolutely incredible view right over the ocean, easy 1 minute walk access to the beach and pool, and quick drives to everywhere we wanted to be between Lahaina and Napili Beach.
The check in was super simple - we received the door code a few days before arrival in an email and we even were granted an earlier check in time (huge thanks!) based on our flight arrival.
All of the communication with Ryan and his partner was really easy, prompt, and accommodating throughout our stay. Great hosts!

We have stayed at a few condos at Kahana outrigger. Definitely one of our top family holiday places. Beautiful beaches, going to bed and waking up to sound of the waves, steps to the beach, clean and quiet. We have seen whales, and turtles from our deck. Turtles swim right by the beach. Amazing snorkeling in bays just north of here 5-10 min drive. 10-15kins to Lahaina shopping and restaurants. I Would 💯 recommend staying here. Thank you for such great family memories 😎

Our family has stayed in this condo several times but this was our first time since updated. The entire unit is done very well to suit a family's needs. VRBO describes this condo first with three king beds but upon closer look and arrival, it is two kings and one queen and a sleeper sofa. The rooms description does state 1 queen in 3rd bdrm. Wasn't an issue for us but wording needs correcting. Actually, our two grandchildren loved relaxing in the 1st master suite king bed. They said it was just too comfy! Needless to say, you just can't beat the view while sitting on the lanai watching whales, turtles and the hawaiian monk seal coming by daily. We were fortunate with good weather seeing unique sunsets right from the lanai. The condo decor, furnishings, cookware, washer/dryer and supplies were great. The split AC units were a plus, very efficient and quiet. Then if you chose not to use them, there was a pleasant breeze going through the unit. The grounds are well maintained with good care given daily to the yard, pool and bbq pits. Ever since Covid, it is still hard to get into some restaurants so just grill and enjoy eating in the condo. Your own beach is right in front of you but if you want to enjoy more snorkeling and activities, go to Honolua bay, Black Rock and Kapalua. If we are fortunate enough to plan another stay in Maui, this rental will be first on our list. (I have personally met the owners and they are exceptionally nice folk!) Management Co. is good too.

Wife and I brought our family of 3 adult children and 1 grandchild, and we found the 3 bedrooms here to be a perfect fit for the family. We loved the easy access to the pool and beach, and we found the view from the lanai perfect for whale watching. The modern kitchen is well equipped and worked well for us to feed the family -- one or all, and anything from snacks to full dinners. The air conditioning and ceiling fans kept the space comfortable.

This condo had everything we needed in the kitchen including spices, pots, pans, and everything to cook with that you could imagine . This was very close to front street, Safeway, and close to all the beaches. You even have a private beach right out front ! There were beach chairs and plenty of beach towels for our family to use . I liked the vintage beach house vibes . We had air conditioning in every room , we had all the essentials in each bathroom and plenty of towels for each bathroom. The rooms accommodations had comfy beds and plenty of space for luggage . We will definitely be back !

The place is all it is advertised to be. The location is prime with a sunset, ocean view, easy beach access and just a few steps to the pool. While it’s a little dark inside, it is decorated and furnished in a classic old Hawaii style that we absolutely loved.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need and more (except a can opener, and I couldn’t find a veggie peeler either).
Bathrooms serve their purpose, but all could use some serious updating. There are more than enough towels as well as beach towels.
There are plenty of beach toys, floaties, snorkeling masks, fins, etc. as well as chairs for hanging out on the beach.

The Kahana Outrigger is a beautiful, setting. We enjoyed staying in this unit. Quick access to pool and beach. It was very well stocked and clean.

Gorgeous property. Very clean and beautifully decorated - well stocked, comfy beds and lovely view from the lanai of the ocean and pool. It was a 1 min walk to the beach from our cottage, and we really enjoyed watching whales every morning from the bench. We didn’t use the pool but it was very inviting.
Location is amazing. 10 mins to kanapali beach and 15-20 mins to Lahaina stores and restaurants. Lots of beaches close by - Baby beach had good snorkeling for kids - we saw a lot of fish and turtles.
Tracy was very helpful and responsive. Overall our stay was 5star!!

This was a nice unit close to the ocean with a small private beach accessible at low tide. It had a grassy area along with the pool and grills, making this very family-friendly. We liked the proximity to the towns nearby and the walking distance of a few restaurants as well.
The view is stunning, and the space worked well for our family. We enjoyed a few meals grilling by the pool and breakfast most mornings in on the deck overlooking the ocean. The rooms were cool once the A/C was on - it was a warm week in Hawaii when we stayed. There were games that our kids enjoyed, and overall, we had a great experience.
I will share that the mattresses could be updated, and the gnats were uncontrollable upstairs. The upstairs bathroom was unusable for our stay. They were so bad! I vacuumed what I could, but it was not sufficient. The property manager said that is just how it is during gnat season and that they will go away in a day. We were there for 7 days and it was apparently gnat season all 7 days. I don't think they had an appreciation for how bad it was.
Assuming that is resolved, the location, view and atmosphere of the small resort make this a great place to stay and enjoy Maui.

Perfect location. Loved sitting on the deck watching the turtles and whales. Short drive to great restaurants and activities. But away from the crowded resorts. Loved morning walks and local stores and restaurants. Highly recommend.
