Door was unlocked when we showed up. The lanai has a no shade , the old one appears missing/broken, no lounge chairs, a huge tall wooden table with high uncomfortable chairs. Location is good , near the beach.

The property is well maintained. The condo is exactly as described. It is nice to hear the birds and you can see gorgeous sunsets from the Lanai. The owners are very responsive as well as the managers for the condo. It is very comfortable for a couple and a family. It is a well stocked kitchen. If you want peace and quiet, this is the spot. We definitely will come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. Super easy check in, condo was very clean, confortable beds and lots of amenities (towels, cooler with ice packs, snorkelling gear, boogies board and more!) for the beach and even some commodity food. We lèves to have 2 bathrooms and really felt like home. Location is good too, in front of a family beach with fun ocean to play in… and Beautiful sea turtles and fishes right off the ocean! Owner were really generous with us. We are very thankful for this stay.

We had a great stay at this property. Easy checkin/checkout. The 2 bed/2 bath unit was well appointed and in a great location across the street from the Magic Sands Beach Park. The unit was in the back of the complex, so very quiet. Felt like a treehouse with birds chirping away outside. Great lanai with view of the ocean to enjoy your morning coffee or meals. Lanai also had beach gear for use (chairs, sand toys, snorkel gear, coolers, umbrellas, and bogie board).
One note for future guests (which did not affect our stay), the tennis courts have been removed (even though they show up on latest Google Aerial Map).

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is great (probably the best beach in Kona across the street), the condo was perfect with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (worked great with our 2 teenage boys), well equipped. Very private Lanai, super quiet, dedicated parking spot. Internet works great (again 2 teenage boys ; ) ). Beth was very responsive and helpful, highly recommended. The ++ : Kitchen fully stacked, beach towels, chairs, sun umbrella, etc..

This condo was exactly like pictured. It was wonderful. The location couldn't be any better right across from White Sands Beach (and yes they did disappear while we were there!) It was on a main street but far enough back that you didn't hear any traffic. You could hear the numerous birds singing at sunrise and sunset. It was beautiful. You could also see the ocean from the balcony. The condo was very well supplied in the kitchen and also for beach activities. We had a small appliance problem and when we told the owners, they had it fixed immediately. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you for letting us stay here!

What a lovely accommodations this was. The decor was spot on for the island feel. Sunsets over the water and bird songs from the lanai everyday was enjoyed and oh what an absolute joy it was. Not too many places can say they have that to see where they are staying. It felt like we were in our own little private paradise for we never heard or saw anyone from our lanai, well maybe on the street on the distant street walking their dogs.
The pool is amazing. It’s very large with tiled in sea animals on floor and sides of the pool. It’s really beautiful. The jacuzzi is wonderful, very hot and relaxing. You go into it and then jump into the pool and the water in the pool is so cool and refreshing.
The condo is in a great location. The beach across the street is amazing and people come from all over to hang out there. Best time to go is early in the morning and swim and play before it gets busy and the go do other things in the afternoon. Big plus is there is a lifeguard there after 10 a.m. We would swim there earlier in the day than that though. There are all kinds of beach gear at the condo to use which came in handy: beach chairs, ice chests, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, masks, snorkels……
There is a trolley to utilize that has a pick up location right out on Alii Drive very close to the front of the condo which will take you to a lot of places for $2. Then you don’t have to deal with parking or you just don’t want to drive into town. There’s a map and timetable in the binder provided in the condo or you can check it out online to read more about it and view a better copy. You could just drive the loop and not get off at any of the stops at first and just take a look at what the area has to offer. It would be a great way to see what you might want to do by the trolley. It’s a real cute open air trolley that’s fun.
The elevator was a big plus for bringing up luggage and groceries but the stairs were not bad at all. The parking space is right next to the stairs so it’s so easy to just walk up the stairs if you don’t feel like walking down to the elevator, which isn’t far either.
Wish we didn’t stay for only a week…….

Enjoyed our stay very much. A couple recommendations would be to wash all towels and linens with vinegar to help the musty smell it was a bit much on some towels and bed cover. Also new pans for cooking and one bigger one. Overall we loved our stay and would return again.

My husband and I stayed here for 6 days. It was very clean and in the perfect location. The beach is such a short walk away we were able to watch the sunset on the beach most nights. The pool and whirlpool were really nice to be able to get away from the crowds on the beach. The beach supplies were awesome. I also loved that there were a couple of puzzle books and some games. And the lenai was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

We were a little surprised when we entered the condo and it smelled very old and musty when we walked in. The curtains and vents need to be cleaned badly as they are caked with dust. I believe there is mold in the bathrooms, we could not get hot water from the shower during our entire stay and the air conditioning would not stay at a specific temperature. There was no resolution from the owner/ property manager. We just had to figure it out on our own. We did enjoy the lanai aside from the wasps building a nest in the ceiling. The beach toys and coolers were very useful and it was nice to have all of the kitchen utensils and appliances to use. We made the most of our stay however it wasn’t as pleasant as we had hoped.

We loved staying here! It's a short walk across the street to magic sands beach which our 6&9 year olds loved boogie boarding at. I was careful to choose a unit set back from the road because I can't sleep with road noise so this unit was in the farthest building from the road and was perfectly quiet. It was clean and nice with a well stocked kitchen. I'd love to stay here again sometime!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and comfortable, with personality. Our kids liked the pool, and the beach was convenient. The beach has particularly rough water though, so perhaps not the best swimming beach in Kona. But nice to have nearby nonetheless, and the place is convenient to many other areas. The unit is on the third floor, which makes for more walking up and down, though there is an elevator which we did not notice until our last day. I like the view from up top, there are lots of trees nearby and local birds, if that’s your thing.

This unit is just as described and fit our family of 4 perfectly. The hosts are very responsive, and we had no issues at all. The unit is clean and has all the supplies of home you may need. I loved that the pool is heated!!! The only thing that I minded was the bathroom fans (or some kind of ventilation) is always running, and this turned into a hummm in the bedrooms. I am a very light sleeper so I had to wear earplugs. But my husband had no issues with it. So I don't think most people will notice it. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to others.

The condo is more than adequate in all ways. It was quiet and convenient to a public beach, restaurants, parking, and travel to various sites. The condo itself could use a fresh coat of paint. All other aspects have been updated nicely. We enjoyed the balcony and cacophony of birds.

We loved this condo, it was like home to us. We stayed with another couple. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom which gave us privacy. Great selection of beach toys, umbrella, chairs, coolers. Directly across from a beautiful beach. The pool and hot tub were great. Very private balcony. Loved hearing the birds morning and evening. We would stay here again.

This large deck is what dreams are made of: View of the ocean, part sun and part shade all day long, but never hot. I had some writing to do (work from “home”?) and found this to be a very productive spot. There is a dining table for four on the deck, plus room for deck chairs. There are a few large trees near the deck that are full of birds to greet you in the morning. There is a partial view of a very quiet neighborhood.
I love to cook and this kitchen is well set up and has nice dishes and new appliances. I loved it as-is but it’s apparently getting a facelift in April 2021, so it will be even nicer when you get there.
The owners are giving this older condo some love, and the new shower is terrific.
The owners are easy to communicate with and respond quickly.

This condo is very nicely located for access to multiple great beaches and snorkel areas. The kitchen is loaded with accessories for great cooking of healthy meals. Th lanai has a wonderful storage chest with great beach and snorkel gear. Very nicley done! I would stay here again!

This location could not be better for the price! It was on the top floor (3rd) and wow did it have a view. There were birds outside the condo balcony that started singing about maybe 5am and lasted for a few hours ... The condo was clean and had an updated kitchen and main bathroom. Very clean and well furnished. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, beach shoes, swim fins and mask-snorkels. There was an outdoor grill,and a nice pool. We didn’t use either due to covid restrictions and reserving. We were able to go to Magic Sands beach the second day. I took my daughter and grandson down to the beach to spend a few hours and all the sand was gone. The tide I suppose washed off all the sand. We did a lot of exploring and found a few other places to enjoy.. Over all we could have not beat the condo, so glad we stayed at this location. A hotel would have costed so much more... I give it a 12/10 for an over all experience...

This is a great property! Everything you need for a great holiday! Lots of beach gear available at the condo and the kitchen has everything you need to cook pretty much anything. It’s a great set up having the two bathrooms between the bedrooms. We went with another couple and the bedrooms felt very private because there was the two bathrooms in between so we never heard any snoring! LOL! It’s so close to the beach but the condo was far enough back that we didn’t hear any street noise just the birds chirping. Overall it was a great value for the price and the owners were great to deal with!

We enjoyed our stay here with one big exception. When we walked into the condo our first night the place had a strong, yucky smell of cigarettes in the living room and master bedroom. This made our first night somewhat unpleasant, but it was late, we were exhausted and there wasn’t anything we could about it at that point. We kept the place opened up all day long everyday but at night we closed up and used the a.c. It took a good 3-4 days before the cigarette smell dissipated. At first I believed that it was from a thoughtless previous guest who smoked in the condo, but none of the furniture, curtains or bedding smelled. In the main bathroom there is a ventilation shaft that continuously draws air throughout the whole building and I wonder if the smell was sucked in from another unit. When sitting on the lanai I could smell when someone somewhere below us was smoking. This isn’t listed as a non-smoking rental and I’m not trying to assign blame, just making other renters aware of what they may walk into. Otherwise, the place was clean enough, but could use a little additional care (which I did communicate to the owner upon check-out).
The lanai was a great place for our morning coffee and being able to walk to the beach was a real plus. We were surprised at the variety of beach gear available in the condo and used something from the box everyday. The birds did wake us up the first few mornings, but we enjoyed them and got used to the sound. Otherwise, the place was pretty quiet. The kitchen is well equipped and we liked the Hawaiiana decor. This was our first Vrbo rental.. While it wasn’t an A+ experience, it was good enough that we will try it on other vacations.

Front sliding door doesn't lock, Front door doesn't shut you have to push the door in for it to lock. Not enough towels, we bought all new sleeping pillows and sheets. There is a bad smell in the condo, it's coming from the disposal or drainage. We did baking soda and vinegar, didn't help, we did lemons, helped a little. The rugs in the bathroom we had to remove they also had a smell. The AC vents need to be cleaned, we tired to clean them but the vacuum that was in the unit was half working, we had to clean the vacuum. The brush on the vacuum doesn't work at all. Overall if this place got a deep cleaning and made it more vacation friendly it would be perfect. Removing the baskets, adding more towel racks maybe in the bedrooms, just more vacation friendly, we put a lot of stuff in the closets. Must say you can't beat the location.

Great price for what you get - very spacious, everything in working order. The building itself is not new on the outside, but the interior of the condo is well maintained. Plus there are several beach towels, coolers, etc - all that saves you an extra suitcase to pay for. We did not spend alot of time in the condo, and the beach in front was closed a few days due to big waves. But we are not the types to stay put, and this was perfect for having a comfy place to sleep, and hangout in the morning and evening. Highway access is not bad, and there is shopping close by (with a car). I would describe this is a "home", not a resort, where you are more likely to hit other beaches, etc by car, than to stay put and not have to move. If you are looking for an "on the go" type of vacation, this condo is unbeatable in value. We would return without hesitation.

Just a quick couple notes about the condo and our trip (we were travelling with a 5 month old)
-perfect location. Short drive to town. Across the street from a beautiful beach.
-very quiet
- very unfortunate that little one was not allowed to use the pool. Would consider a different property for this reason
- unit had most things we needed. Plan on buying toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, laundry soap and dish soap. Lots of beach toys etc.
-view of the ocean was nice. As was the lanai
-a/c was awesome!
-good size kitchen and bedrooms
-some tv channels fuzzy
-phone was not hooked up. Although owners responded to my email promptly, we couldn't set up the phone. Now we have huge roaming charges!
-decor is outdated compared to other units...didn't bother us, I know it matters to some.
-beds and pillows are okay...bring your own pillow if you have space
-carpets could really used a clean
-found cigarett butts in between couch cushions inside and out on porch. This really grossed me out. Covered couch with a sheet after this.
-lay out worked very well for our family
-this was our first time renting a condo. I know other units and complexes can be more expensive. This fit the budget. If a couple cleaning issues were fixed, we would return. Must stress...A/C was great, lay out was great and location perfect.

Unit was at the end of the building, top of three flights of stairs. There is an elevator we found on the second day, but would not recommend unit to those w disabilities or have a hard time with stairs. However, being so high gave us glorious views odpf the ocean, the hills, foliage and were a woken every day bupy the sounds of tropical birds. Unit had everything we needed for cooking, playing at the beach and pool to books on island activities. The locations is great as we were steps away from a great sandy beach that is perfect for body surfing, swimming or playing in the sand. The biggest downfall for our family, as we had two young children who are water babies, was that the hotel does not allow children who still need a swim diaper to use the pool. This brxoke our 1 year old's heart watching his big brother in the big pool as he miserably splashed in a hard small kiddie pool. Oh and the ac in themroom is om a timer and only needs to be reset every 4 hours, which makes for annoying middle of the night wakeups. Other than that I would recommend the unit because of the location, the price, the ocean views and the friendliness if the owners. I did find a concierge service for renting high chair and a pack and play, as the unit did not have those. Lastly, you will need a rental car.

Perfect stay in Kona !
We spent 5 days in Kona and the condo was absolutely as described.
Really good contact with owner, easy to find, close to Kona center (by car).
Beach in front is for body borders only, for swiming and snorkeling, go 2ml south.
No restaurant around, go to Kona.
Nice view from Lanai (ocean & birds).
Very quit situation, no noise, good sleep.
Thanks again for this 5 days of leisure before our business week in Honolulu

This was our 2nd time staying at Dave and Beth's condo. As the unt is on the top floor at the back of the building it is quiet and offers great views above the trees to the ocean. This year we were able to do some whale spotting from the deck. The furnishings are quaint and have a real hawaiian flare while also being very confortable. The complex is well maintained and situated across the street from a great beach. A great hawaiian get away!!

We were very pleased with how perfect this condo was for our needs. My husband and I took his mom along for a week to Kona and this was the perfect spot and condo configuration for our needs. Two big and comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, insuite laundry, fully-stocked kitchen, two tv's, wifi, and covered parking for our rental car were all ideal. The big private lanai was fantastic for lazing around. The complex has an excellent pool, bbq area, hot tub and tennis court, and the location of this condo within the complex couldn't be better as it is far from the street and all one hears is the chirping of the birds in the trees. There is a bit of ocean view too. The only drawback is that the elevator is a bit far and requires some steps, so it isn't well-suited for someone with difficulty walking. However, it was perfect for us. About a five minute drive to downtown Kona and Magic Sands (aka White Sands) Beach is quite lovely too! We enjoyed many spectacular sunsets there as well as swimming and playing in the waves. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends. The Hawaiian style decor totally goes with the atmosphere here and the photos and description accurately reflect the unit. Owner was very quick with responding and nice to deal with.

The location, pool facility, peek a boo view and size of condo were good - the linen was old but clean ....BUT the condo had not been dusted in months & there were dirty/half washed mugs in the cupboard - (sorted that with the dishwasher quickly and easily)...., BUT more disconcerting there were 100's of dead insects, cobwebs surrounding and on the bed frame - heaven knows what was under the matress - too afraid to look! ...and tons of cobwebs & spiders throughout - worst in main bedroom. Couldn't bring myself to sleep in the main bedroom - the second bedroom wasnt as bad? The dust levels on furniture & wall hangings throughout were really bad. There were minute little fishmoths(?) constantly throughout the kitchen - Kitchen linen old and smelled bad! Thank goodness no roaches indoors but they were outside on stairwells and on the driveway when going to the pool! I have photos that freak me out of the main bedroom mostly. We used the condo as a base - arrived late at night jet lag etc - didnt notice how bad - immediately travelled the east side of the island and only realised how awful it all was three days into the booking when we got back - so stuck it out (not in the main bedroom!) as felt it was too late to complain and didnt want to waste precious vaca time on someone elses negligence! Come on guys get this cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom - what a shame! Definitely not cleaned thoroughly or maintained in years! Didnt contact the owner - on vacation - no time for the hassling. Cannot recommend at all! Big island of Hawaii is magical.

This place was really great! Close to everything, yet really quiet and away from car noise. The bird watching was spectacular out on the lanai as you are looking out over the tops of the trees and the ocean. We loved the furnishings, very comfortable and there was everything you needed in the kitchen for cooking. Thumbs up, and we already recommended it to some people we met out at breakfast. Mahalo!
