The hosts of the unit were great, answered all questions and even went as far as a nights refund when they found out the pool was going to be closed for most of our stay. They thought of everything that you could need for your stay, right down to the snorkeling!!! Thank you for a great place to stay!!!

Our condo was great, however the pool was being repaired, however the owners took car of us.
I would suggest Sugar Beach remove the rugs on the stairs. It smelled bad! The front door to the condo looked like we were stepping into a hotel we wouldn’t want to stay in. So, nothing on the owners, just on the Sugar Beach itself.

Other than the wind and the tragic wildfire, which fortunately did not impact us, we had a very nice stay.
A few maintenance items should be addressed for the unit we stayed in:
1. slow bathroom sink drain
2. light bulb over the stove burned out
3. washing machine had a whining noise when running
We had fun and Sugar Beach Resort is easily reached from the airport, has all the types of stores and restaurants in the vicinity and was a good place to stay and enjoy Hawaii.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful condo! From the beautiful beach right by the resort to the many amenities of the condo, the beautiful grounds, the location of the resort & the location of the condo in the resort. The condo was so clean & well maintained.
Lisa provides lots of extra bath towels which is a plus when you are staying for a week, kitchen amenities are great, & we loved being able to use the beach chairs & beach wagon when traveling to other beaches.
We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

We both LOVED our stay, we were so sad to leave. Our condo was beautiful, was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Loved swimming in the pool every night, alot of the tenants that were staying were so friendly, we would share what we all did for the day and what we were planning for the next day. Met alot of great people. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast on the balcony every morning was a great start to our days. Local fresh fruit was amazing. The location was central to anything you wanted to do. The grounds were maintained daily, easy parking. A great tip we found out when we got there was that they have grocery carts you can use to take your luggage and Costco haul up to your condo. We are already planning our next vacation and we will definitely be staying here for all of our Maui vacations. Has that Home away from feeling ❤️ The only thing I wish was different was that the pool and hot tub stayed open later, other then that it was perfect!

This rental was wonderful, the view was amazing and it was a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, for once slept very well away from home! Area was great as well and so was the surrounding area!! Would definitely recommend or stay there again!

Very well stocked for anything you could or would require. Very clean and a great location. The phone didn’t work and a new phone was installed within an hour! The beach and pool along with all other amenities are great. Highly recommended!

Everything about this property was as described. I could watch the whales from our patio and when at the pool. My 12 year old loved the pool and hot tub, well we all did but she especially loved it. Lots of room to relax around the pool and has a shaded gazebo area. Lots of well kept grills to have cook outs on while making conversation and watching kids in the pool. Two minute drive to ABC store, 8 minutes from food land and Safeway. The beach is smooth sand. The condo is well kept as well and has everything you need. Would love to come back again.

We could not have had a better place to stay for our first trip to Maui! Great view, comfortable bed, all the necessities needed for a fun beach day, and a minute walk down to the ocean. We can’t wait to return for our honeymoon!

We had a short 4 day stay after a week in French Polynesia.
205 has the most comfy king size bed. Slept really well. The condo had everything we needed except shampoo and conditioner and sugar for hubby’s coffee. There were some basic spices however. We have stayed at Sugar Beack resort in the past. It’s a quiet, serene place with great beach access.
We appreciated an early check in since our flight from HNL got in so early. Mahalo.

My husband and I stayed in this condo for our daughters wedding. We had many guests staying at Sugar Beach for the wedding and all were always very complimentary of our condo versus their condos. Bed is super comfortable, updated appliances wonderful. Very clean and convenient! Will definitely stay again for our next trip to Maui

Nice condo and complex. Sitting on the balcony there are fragrant plumerias right at the railing. Beautiful water view too. Unit was clean and comfortable. Having an full size washer/dryer was helpful. We ate at the bar/restaurant one night and the food was good and the place attracted locals. Large bedroom with king size bed. The unit was accurately reflected in the listing. Host was easy to communicate with and responsive.

We had a wonderful anniversary trip. Room was clean, comfortable bed enjoyed the quiet ocean sounds at night. Nice pool on property with beachfront access. Nicely remodeled kitchen was great for preparing great breakfast and lunches.
Kihei is also a nice central location to get around the island.

Wonderful sums it up. Kitchen is well-equipped. Condo was clean and it met my high standards. Plenty of sitting - indoor and outdoors. Bedroom can get stuffy but there is a ceiling fan. We usually had windows and patio open for a great breeze. Complex is awesome. You are right on the beach. We grilled out several nights. The bbq area is well maintained and grills cleaned daily. When Maui settles down, I'll be back.

I'm so happy that I chose this property for my solo trip. The hosts were fantastic and very responsive. The property had everything that I needed from kitchenware, furnishings, excellent WiFi connection, etc. etc. and I couldn't have been happier with the view of the beach and pool from the lanai. There's a decent bar/sandwich spot onsite and the property is a short walk to a local farmers market, Sugar Beach Bake Shop, ABC Market, shaved ice shop and a quick drive to downtown Kihei. Very relaxing stay thanks to a well appointed unit with great sight lines from the balcony where we spent a lot of time on. And the beautiful beach is just steps away, great for sunrise and sunset walks on the soft yet firm sand. A definite plus. We did get a “Rear Window” feel while sitting out on the balcony as another building across from the pool area was facing us, but it was kinda fun checking out the other visitors. Like a arm’s distance social club;-).
One thing that I would warn future visitors about, especially those who do not arrive with their own vehicle, like us, is that if you arrive well before the 3pm check-in time, management does not allow you to leave your bags with them, thusly, you have to carry your stuff around with you until the condo is ready. It’s my opinion that the policy needs to change. Letting visitors leave their bags is a good thing.
The bus line stops close to the resort, and for $4 per day, you can ride without limits. And there is a small general store and local farmers market within walking distance.
As for the resort itself, ya’ll gotta check out Dina’s Sand Witch bar and grill by the offices. The atmosphere and “Lava flow” drink is wonderful 🍸👍🏻

Really liked the condo as very efficient and organized. Really liked sugar beach as a great beach for walking and quiet beach days. The property was a bit dated but very clean and well maintained.
