We were very pleased with the condo it’s just as pictured very roomy and a great location close the beach, pool and Duke’s restaurant. Duke’s has an awesome breakfast and great dinner selections also. Would totally stay there again.

Our unit was excellent and working with KBM Management was one of the best experiences we have had in a rental. They were professional, prompt, took care of any issues and was always communicating with us on how our stay was going. Highly recommend them.

It was a last minute decision for us to stay at this property. We booked it on a whim, and figured if all else fails and the pictures were deceiving, we could camp on the beach lol. We have had a terrible experience with another VRBO property in Hawaii a couple years back. It was literally the worst! We ended up leaving 30 minutes after we arrived and booked the last hotel available on the island. This property was everything advertised and more. Absolutely perfect! The space, the cleanliness, the features and location were exactly what we were hoping for. I would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend.

Overall, loved the spot. It was close to the pool and the lanai was great for our 10-month-old to be outside but out of the sun. (That side of the building doesn't get sun directly) We went in early March and could not see the actual sunset from the balcony but it was a quick walk down to the beach to watch. Only negatives were we had a toilet that kept running and we called them to see if they could fix it but no luck. The bar sink also linked if the lever was left at the wrong angle which we luckily found out while we were all awake. The coffee machine didn't work when we got there but they promptly brought us a new one. Again, overall, great spot and I would stay there again!

10 out of ten! Would definitely stay here again - will be recommending it to others travelling to Maui. Spacious, well equipped, thoughtful extras (our best day there was with the provided boogie boards), balcony was amazing (we spent hours upon hours on the balcony), great pools, loved our stay. Wonderful property. Everything was as promised, easy, relaxing, no problems or concerns.

My first bad experience... The unit was fine, but KBM manipulated us into keeping the reservation by promising a refund then refusing to honor it without us signing an NDA with a monetary breach provision that surpasses what many folks make in a year! If you prefer to deal with honest and fair businesses, steer clear of KBM.

KBM reached out to us 2 weeks before arrival and said the lanai would be inaccessible (being painted). They gave us 3 options – keep the booking w/a partial refund, stay at another KBM property, or get a full refund. We chose the partial refund. Our refund was conditioned ONLY on us keeping the reservation, and we received no additional materials from KBM prior to arrival. A few days after arrival, I contacted KBM to get the refund. Now they were refusing to honor the promised refund unless we signed a NEW AGREEMENT. The agreement contained a confidentiality component indicating that if anyone would “publicly criticize” KBM, that we could be in breach, and the "breach of this agreement with liquidated damages equal to" an amount that surpasses what many folks make in a year! Egregious! The KBM people I spoke to insisted they do this with ALL refunds. I am writing this review roughly 3 months after our stay and haven’t received a refund. I refuse to sign because 1) this was not the original deal KBM promised and 2) this would place a huge burden on our entire family. I would have to guarantee the performance of every individual in our party to that agreement (including in-laws). We wanted a vacation – NOT a chance to take on this level of risk!
What KBM did makes me wonder… How sincere and unbiased can the reviews about KBM be? If all refunds require the reviewer to say nothing negative about KBM (or potentially be in breach), what motivates the reviewers? I have no direct way of knowing what motivated the reviews, but I do know what we experienced and have shared it here freely.
When it comes to spending allot of my money on a family vacation, these kinds of headaches KBM created are exactly the kind I want to avoid. I’m saddened to see that VRBO allows these sorts of practices on their platform.
If VRBO is reading this review and would like to review this case, I can forward all documentation – including communications (email, voicemail) that occurred off-platform and the NDA agreement itself.

KBM was professional and easy to book through. Very communicative and responsive while booking online. Our room was very clean well stocked with cooking and kitchen utensils. All appliances worked well. And we had enough stock of paper towels and toilet paper!
KBM staff was very attentive and checked in on us through our stay.
We had one issue during our stay (toilet backing up) and KBM was responsive in handling it. We were very pleased with how the handled it.
We have stayed at Honua Kai many times but this is our first time booking through KBM. We will definitely be using KBM again!

The location and property were great. The 7 of us enjoyed our vacation immensely. The rooms were very comfortable and provided excellent space for our 5 teenage boys. We took advantage of the concierge service who provided excellent recommendations for activities. The only feedback I would give is that the kitchen is a little dated - while the appliances are high end, many of the knobs are worn off so you cannot tell what temperature things are on the oven and the dishwasher would only work on certain settings, was a bit temperamental and required a service call. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Love the property and the beach! HUGE bedroom and living space fits everyone comfortably. Duke’s Beach house was a HIT! I love hearing the live music every night it was beautiful. The beach and sunset was amazing. The pool directly in front of the unit. My kids were able to be in the pool and I can see them from my balcony. Other guest were very kind. Everything was GREAT!

Unit 203H was beatiful and had an excellent view from the balcony. It was so nice to open the patio fully to the outside when we hosted another family for dinner.

Our suite was wonderful and had a great view. We enjoyed the whole family being able to be together. We played games at the large breakfast table, enjoyed quiet time on the patio. We had easy access to the pools and the beach. We really appreciated having beach chairs, sand toys and a large cooler provided. We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.
