This was our 4th stay at Casa de Emeko and have rented a different unit each visit. CasaKona is one of the best. We felt very comfortable and "at home". This was our first stay in a 2 bedroom and loved the very spacious lanai, with an exceptional view of the ocean and breaking waves. We appreciated the generous welcoming basket of goodies from Brent and Jeff. We would not hesitate to book this unit again.

Everything was seamless and perfect, starting with the directions and access to the unit. Once we arrived, we appreciated the fantastic welcome basket with tasty local treats. The unit was inviting and spotless. Everything we could possibly need was provided, so we were able to enjoy our time without shopping for paper goods, soap, shampoo, etc.
The condo is tastefully decorated and comfortable, also very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we could possibly need. We loved the large showers and especially the lanai with its ocean view. It was the favorite coffee spot for our group.
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The saltwater pool was amazing! It is quite large and has a great view of the ocean. We spent several nights watching sunset by the seawall. The views are stunning! We met some vacationers and residents while out on the property and everyone was super nice.
The owners provided a comprehensive binder of suggestions on places to go and restaurants. We referred to it often. Brent was very responsive when we had questions about activities and suggestions for a sport fishing company.
Everything was just perfect, and we can't wait to return!

Very enjoyable trip, just a couple of suggestions.
1. Let people know about the free trolly, parking in town is pay to park and sometimes difficult to find.
2. Laundry room instructions, location, time frame open, and location of laundry soap, ( there are pods that have been left in the condo, if none, the store in front of the condo sells them)

We appreciated having this comfortable condo as our home base for our family vacation. The kids picked up that this is a quiet condo community, and went with it. They had lots of fun in the pools and on our beach excursions, but this location also allowed us all to have needed downtime and kitchen conveniences in a peaceful place.

Owners were so accommodating and delightful to work with. The Condo was very clean, decorated tastefully with great space, and well stocked with needs as stated.
The air conditioning was a plus but didn't change the moist environment inside the condo. The master bedroom did have a dank smell which the owner was going to check into.
The outdoor grounds were superb. The man made sand beach and (saltwater and non saltwater) pools were not over crowded and nicely maintained. We actually enjoyed it over going to the beach.
If you are one not looking for hotel amenities (gyms, etc), but rather a low key area, this is the place for you.

A comfortable, beautiful, quiet gem! This condo has everything you need & more. The space was clean, inviting & spacious. Attractive decor with a classy ocean theme added to the beauty of the space. Comfortable beds and large, lovely showers added to the comfort of our stay. The lanai was amazing & our favorite place to be when we weren't out exploring the island. It has a great view of the ocean, with a large comfy couch on each end; perfect for watching the waves, or any of the little local birds passing through. Beyond the condo, the grounds of the complex are a tropical paradise. Beautiful flowers & colorful foliage decorated the outside of the grounds and led to two pools. The salt water pool was a special treat! Floating in the pool watching the waves splash over the side made it a great place for a relaxing swim. The location of the condo is convenient too. It is walking distance to a great local market with artisan booths & yummy fish tacos at Shaka Tacoz! We were also close to town, good snorkeling and beaches. After a long day exploring the island, we watched sunset from the condo grounds every night. Full time residents would blow the conch shell as the sun touched the ocean.
I highly recommend staying at this beautiful place.The hosts were warm & accommodating and quick to respond. The many extras they provided like the yummy basket of treats, coolers, beach chairs & towels just to mention a few, made our stay even better. Our only regret, not staying longer.

This is a beautiful, clean and well stocked condo. Lots of room for everyone with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The location is great as you are close to Kailua ( 5 minute drive) but not too close ( it can get really busy) and many of the activities you will want to do on Hawaii are elsewhere on the island. Think Mauna Kea, snorkeling at Capt Cook or horse back riding in Waimea. The real star of this rental though is the lanai! It is large, very large. Each end has a couch big enough to nap on. Which you will after a morning of activities as you listen to the surf hit the rocks just below the condo. The unit is 3rd from the water end of the building. There are no issues hearing of seeing the surf. There are also blinds to lower if the sun gets too warm. It’s a great place to start your day with coffee and end it with a cool drink. My family and I had a wonderful time at the condo. From the moment we arrived we knew we made the correct choice. Brent had an assortment of local treats and coffee waiting for us upon arrival and even left a card wishing my son and wife a happy birthday. Everything was as advertised and more, from the sunset view, to the swimming pool by the ocean and the tropical gardens and birds in the center of the complex. The lanai was our favorite location for enjoying morning coffee. The beds were comfortable and the showers were spacious and modern. Needless to say, Brent and Casa Kona exceeded our expectations. If you are planning on traveling to the Kailua-Kona area we highly recommend that you consider staying at Casa Kona. Thank you Brent!

I’ve stayed a Casa Kona several times now with my husband and friends and it never disappoints. You won’t find more responsive owners than Brent and Jeff. They are on top of everything and add special touches such as homemade bread and a yummy basket to get your trip started right. The unit is impeccably clean and well stocked. The view of the beach, pool, and ocean from the lanai is one of the best in the complex. We practically lived on the lanai. The complex overall is well maintained, beautifully landscaped, and full of welcoming people. Cooking in is a piece of cake with the large grills that are available for use by all. This truly is a piece of paradise. We can’t wait to return next year!

I don’t know where to start. Beautiful property with beautiful views right from the lanai. You can stay at your room and enjoy the sunset every night. Have coffee on the lanai every morning. It’s close to shopping, restaurants and a little convenience store right on the street in front of the complex. Free parking. 2 pools. Jeff and Brett are great. If you need anything they are available. They give you suggestions of restaurants and activities to do. We didn’t need a thing, they have thought of everything. Comfortable beds, kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal. Umbrella, ice chest and chairs for the beach. We highly recommend this property for 2 couples or a family of 4.

Brent & Jeff were very easy to communicate with and had a wealth of information on the Big Island of Hawaii. Upon arrival to the condo, we found it in immaculate condition. Everything was clean and ready to go. The furnishings and decor made it feel like home. Although we did not cook there, we noticed a kitchen full of stocked items as well as some seasonings. It was a very nice and quiet campus and you did not hear much noise at night. My husband & I plan to return and do more relaxing on the condo campus.

We were happy here - to me, the best thing to be said. Amenities were just right: complete kitchen, basket of goodies was perfect from Mac nut eatables to hand sterilizer- and pure Kona coffee beans with grinder on cabinet. Linens were first class beds to beach towels. Furniture was comfortable, new - living space to lanai.

The condo was awesome!! The owner Brent was The BEST!!! Communication was great!! My family and I stayed for 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome basket made us feel special and had great Hawaiian treats. The condo was in a prime location!!!! Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with a Brita water filter too. Free parking was nice. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, snorkels, cooler etc. provided was a big bonus! Also Brent went above and beyond and returned some rental equipment that we accidentally forgot to return. Would highly recommend this condo and owner and would definitely stay again.

Great property in a great location! We are SCUBA divers and chose Casa Kona for it's location to our dive operator. In addition to diving, we enjoyed walking into town for dinner and the easy drives to Volcanos National Park and the Southern Point. Casa Kona is just as described, nicely updated, AC works very well, beds were comfy, and condo community is very quiet and peaceful. We felt right at home and found everything we needed in the unit to enjoy our time. We appreciated the beach towels and ice chests to take to the beach. There is a little market right in front of the unit which was handy to grab a forgotten item. The only thing I would suggest is luggage stands for the bedrooms and an extra set of bath towels for the bathrooms since it takes a while for things to dry out in the humidity. If you are considering renting this unit, don't hesitate. It will meet all of your expectations. We hope to return soon!

The condo is located right on the ocean and the view from the Lanai is awesome. Caught sunset out front and it was dramatic. We live near the ocean in Santa Cruz but the way the island waves arrive is totally different sound/feeling (reefs). Salt water pool was clean. Again, with amazing views. The flowers, birds, porpoises, tropical fish right there and easily seen from the edge of the property. A little corner store with ice, food, liquor, etc. Very safe, secure, aloha. Kitchen has everything you need and the bbq’s (Webber genesis II’s are clean, hooked up to hardline and plenty of them . We bought super fresh fish at the Kona Fish Market, made mango salsa and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the property. Bedrooms and baths super clean. Anyways, as you can tell from this review, we will be back. Btw, the KA’’U Coffee Plantation, Volcanoes Rim Trail (bring your serious hiking boots), hike across the crater, lava amazing as was the zip line waterfall trip. Go see the botanical gardens near Hilo. Thirty bucks per person for the gardens is worth it and you will be delighted.

Having never been to the big Island before I was very excited when this property was available for myself my girlfriend and her mom to celebrate her mom‘s 70th birthday in Hawaii. Not only is it a beautiful well-kept property but the entire complex is very nice with two pools as well as grills, seating, lounge chairs and tables to use outside. The proximity to the town portion of Kona where restaurants bars and shops are is incredibly close we didn’t even need to use our car as you can either walk or take the trolley that runs about every 30 minutes and picks up right in front of the complex. The hosts left a very comprehensive guidebook at the property which gives you a ton of different ideas for things to do if you’re not the type of person to plan things before your arrival. The property itself is excellent there were three of us staying here all the appliances worked great the water pressure was excellent and the air-conditioning kept it cool as well as a very nice patio that overlooks the courtyard where I like to sit in the morning and watch sunrise over the mountain. I absolutely would come back to this property in the future

A huge THANK YOU to Brent & Jeff for sharing your slice of paradise. Our family was met with obstacles the night before flying out, (husband got food poisoning), and thankfully they were able to accommodate our arrival and the need to check into the condo early.
The condo was sparkling and just as pictured. The grounds were beautiful and the facilities are well maintained. I personally loved that the property was behind gates which gave an extra sense of security in an unfamiliar area. They had beach towels and toys for your use.
The residents in the complex were friendly and forthcoming with all the details about the local area. The condo location was about a 7min drive from downtown and the mini market was 10 feet away on the corner. We grabbed so many bottles of water and Gatorade.
I will recommend this property every time! Worthy of our 5* rating.

This place is fabulous! The lanei is three times bigger than you'd expect with big comfie couches to enjoy the view with a good book and glass of wine. Inside is equally great with updated appliances and nice decor - but I loved being on that lanei with the OCEAN VIEW. When we arrived, multiple people welcomed us and one even offered to carry a suticase upstairs. The resort has many owners on-site and they are an extra bonus with friendly conversation, tips re: snorkeling or restaurant and one cool guy even made mom a cocktail by the pool. The granite counters are lovely, the place was sparkling clean, nice soft sheets, pretty showers... I could go on and on. We used the soft-sided ice chests in the closets and appreciated the quality beach towels (and the drying rack on the lanei). Parking was also good - 99% of the time we were able to park within a few steps of the condo. The resort has lots of pretty plumeria trees, a guy who blows the conch at sunset and was a perfect fit fo me, my husband and mom. MAHALO for a great stay and I highly recommend this unit. (Location is also a perfect central spot to access snorkeling, restaurants, art galleries, etc.)

Perfect for two couples traveling together. The condo and complex are immaculate and as advertised. It has everything you could possibly need. Beautiful ocean views, sandy beach, saltwater pool, and wonderful patio area to enjoy drinks and meals. The kitchen is well stocked and the BBQ area is perfect for cooking. Both bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are high end. Brent and Jeff are highly responsive owners and take great care of their piece of paradise. Awesome experience. The big, beautiful condo was very well appointed and well stocked with everything you might need. We especially liked the welcome basket that was waiting for us on arrival. You could tell the owners put a lot of effort into making their condo the perfect vacation experience, and we really appreciated that effort.
The lanai was huge, well furnished, and with a great view of the pool and ocean. We spent a lot of time out there, and I even dozed off once laying on one of the couches.
We also loved the ocean-side pool and the sandy areas up front. It was very nice that you could actually see the ocean while in the pool.
There is also a convenience store right outside the gate that was very handy.

The property was very clean and welcoming. A/C worked great and the beds were very comfortable. Great balcony overlooking pool, pretty courtyard and ocean. Be prepared to carry bags upstairs. There is an elevator, but it is near the lobby a bit away. When we were there over spring break, parking was very full and a bit hard to find a spot inside the gate. The location was close to the shopping and other beaches.

We have stayed at many condos in the Kona area over the years and this stay was by far the best! The unit was well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen for all cooking needs including condiments, oils and seasonings.
The large, beautiful lanai overlooks the salt water pool, patio area and beach.
This beach is a front row seat to the sunset directly in front of you and several of the full time residents blew their conch shells to give thanks for the day as the sun sank into the sea. It was magical.
Afterwards we retired to the lanai for dinner and a relaxing evening listen to the waves below us.

We had a great time at this condo. Loved being able to sit on the unit's balcony, in the shared cabana in the center of property's courtyard, and being able to watch the sunset over the water (which we did for two nights). The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and basic spices that were needed to cook a meal. The location is a short walk (20-25 minutes) to the heart of Kona Town where you find a lot of shops and restaurants. Parking was convenient (either inside the gate or just outside it). The people in the complex were friendly and helpful. If we could have, we would have stayed longer. If we come to Kona again, I would definitely stay here again.

The place was perfect in every way for my wife and me and our son and his fiance'. The unit was spotless, the kitchen well-equipped, the extra items such as beach towels and swim masks just made it super easy to enjoy. The location is excellent. Easy to get to town but not so close as to feel cramped. The grounds and swimming pool were great and the people there were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the gas grills on the patio. This is one of our favorite Vrbo rentals and we would love to stay there again on our next trip to Hawaii! The owner is also super nice and accommodating.

After nearly 2yrs of lockdowns in our city, we needed to get away, really, get away. What better destination than the beautiful sunny shores of Hawaii?
Our stay at Kailua-Kona can only be described as perfect. The property was exactly as pictured and described, but what we didn’t anticipate was the welcoming community as well.
Whether we wanted to unwind on the lanai or share a laugh and good conversation around the BBQ’s, this condo had it all.
The views were stunning, and experiencing the ‘blowing of the pu at sunset’ was something we will not soon forget.

We had a great time, and highly recommend Casa De Kona. The condo is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is an easy two mile walk into Kona proper, and the location is convenient for trips either north or south. The condo overlooks the courtyard with a nice ocean view from the Lanai. The courtyard usually comes alive around 5:00 each evening as tenants and guest relax with cocktails, and wait for the conch shell to blow to signal the end of another day in paradise.

We stayed in this condo for a week in March. It felt like home as it had absolutely everything we needed to make our stay convenient and comfortable. The unit is so clean and quiet. The only thing you hear at night is the sound of crashing waves - pure bliss! They had provided coffee for us but also the cabana area makes coffee early in the morning in case you want to grab a cup while you sit and enjoy the ocean view. The view from the lanai is amazing and beautiful. In the evening you can walk to the front of the condo and watch the sunset from the sandy beach or the rock wall. We so appreciated the beach supplies that they provided - towels, chairs, coolers, bags and boogie board. Brent communicated so well with us about everything we needed to know and questions we had about our stay. This was our best visit to date on the Big Island, and we would definitely stay in Brent and Jeff’s condo again!

We really enjoyed our time at Casa Kona. It’s in a very convenient location. A 20 minute walk to downtown, it was ideal for our morning walk. The porch looks out over the ocean and was beautiful. The grounds are well kept and it was never too loud. Comfortable furniture and a nice kitchen too.

This is the second time we've stayed in this unit and we have booked it again for next year. This is a very nicely updated and clean rental. The location is close to the beach so you have very nice views. The unit has everything you need, including lots of spices and condiments that most places do not have. We really enjoy this complex because it is very quiet. The unit is very comfortable and the owners are great to work with.

We had the pleasure of staying in this exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well furnished unit for two weeks and plan to return. We arrived to find enough supplies and incidentals that we didn’t have to go to the store immediately. This was very nice after the long flight. Instead we were on the lanai enjoying the ocean views. This was definitely one of our favorite spots and we spent quite a bit of time on it. It has comfortable furniture for lounging. We cooked in a lot and the kitchen was superb. It included everything we needed. The central grills and eating area makes for many sunset meals and memories. Everything about the complex is lush and well maintained. The beach is tranquil with beautiful views. The salt water pool is closely located to easily cool down. Both bathrooms and bedrooms are beautiful and comfortable. It is a great unit for two couples to share. It offers plenty of space for everyone. The dining room was perfect when we ate inside which wasn’t very often. The living room sofa is comfortable but we honestly didn’t spend much time there. There’s something for everyone though. Enjoy! We loved hearing the ocean waves crashing at night!

This was our second stay at Casa Kona, and it was as great as the first time. This condo is in a great location (close to town, but far enough away from town and the road that all you hear is the waves). We spent a lot of time relaxing on the lanai and swimming in both pools. The complex is quiet and the people are friendly (we enjoyed having a glass of wine while watching the sunset). I almost don't want to say too many good things about this place because I want it to be available if we decide to come for a 3rd trip to Hawaii....you cannot go wrong with Casa Kona if you want a relaxing stay in Kona. This year we snorkeled with Manta Rays (Kamanu Charters) and snorkeled in Kealakekua Bay (Sea Quest Rafting & Snorkeling) and would highly recommend both trips.

My wife and I stayed at Brent's condo in Kona this past week (during the hurricane) and had a terrific time for our son's wedding. The quality of the remodel on the condo and amenities were FAR above average. The kitchen had a huge inventory of dishes, cookware and utensils; everything you would ever need. There's even extra extension cords and a tool box!! The condo was very quite and the swimming pool was great. The location is about 2 miles south of Kona and within reach of most sites on the west side of the island within an easy hour drive. We've used VRBO extensively in the States and also in Europe and this is by far our BEST experience.

Casa Kona is a real gem. Brent has thought of every little detail and the kitchen is so well equipped I was able to make wonderful dinners without missing a beat. The lanai is comfortable, spacious and has magical views. The outdoor common area with barbecues is an added bonus. My family would stay again in a heartbeat!

Casa Kona is an absolute gem. Comfortable, so very clean and great job on the remodel. I loved the lanai, spent most nights sitting and listening to the crashing of the waves. The kitchen, besides being beautiful is fully equipped. The pots and pans were nicer than my own! The bathrooms are so elegant. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you did to the showers, and the glass doors are beautiful. Beds are comfortable, living room is very inviting... we enjoyed all the different seating areas. We swam in the salt water pool only a few times, we were usually gone most of the days exploring the island. The binder that Brent and Jeff put together was very helpful. We tried some of the different suggestions you had in there. Location was close to everything. Parking was not a problem.
I was worried about the VOG and emailed Brent my concerns. He got back to me and explained what it is like there. My worry was for nothing. Some days there was VOG but it didn’t bother me and we left the area anyway most days exploring so I never had a problem! I can’t wait to go back.

This was the best vacation we have ever taken and Brent's Casa Kona B236 condo at Casa de Emdeko was the main reason. You have probably seen all the pictures at VRBO or casakona.com and read about all the amenities, so I won't be redundant.
I'll simply say that everything shown and written is 100% accurate. The many 5-Star reviews are completely deserving. Here's what puts this unit and the complex over the top:
* Super clean and well appointed.
* Top-of-the-line furnishings, appliances, bedding, TV-internet-cable, and a spectacular view of the ocean.
* Thoughtful additions, such as beach chairs, beach umbrella, multiple coolers for road trips, floaties for the pool and ocean.
* The condo grounds, the pools, the BBQ area are perfect. Very well-maintained.
In summary, do not hesitate to click the "BOOK" button. You will not be disappointed, I assure you. Brent, thanks for your professionalism and responsiveness. You were great to work with!!!

The condo was first-rate. Everything was well-maintained. The kitchen had lots of plates, silverware, glasses and cookware. The air conditioning worked wonderfully. The showers were lovely. The view from the lanai is wonderful and listening to the ocean waves was very relaxing. The owner was very responsive to our request for a reservation and the questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again.

We were really happy with our stay at Casa Kona. We enjoyed the complimentary local beers sitting on the lanai with great views of the waves across from the pool. The place had pretty much everything we needed, super happy with kitchen supplies, the coffee and fixings, etc... It was like coming to stay at a friends house with all the things available for use. And we also really liked to be slightly out of town. It was quiet, but an easy drive into town, or a quick walk to the Green Flash for a coffee in the morning. Thanks for everything!

I can't say enough about our month-long stay at Casa Kona 236b! There's simply so much to love -- the updated kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable and spacious living and dining room area, great beds, beautiful lanai, and proximity to the shore, salt water pool, cabana, sunsets, and all of the friendly hospitable folks at the Casa. Not to mention the volcanoes, coffee and vanilla farms, open-air markets, and great dining opportunities. But sometimes the little things make the big things even better -- like lots of hangers in the closets, perfectly functioning ice-maker in the freezer, cool "Casa" pens (that work!), beach towels, basket of travel information, board games in the cupboard, and equipment helpful for the many activities available on the Big Island. The owners have thought of pretty much everything that will make your stay in Hawaii one of the best times of your life. Mahalo!

The unit was as advertised. Two comfortable bedrooms with big beds, central air (used sparingly), a full kitchen and a very comfortable lanai with a view of the ocean. Very quiet and comfortable. Also liked the fresh coffee outside on the pool house in the mornings, and the easy access into Kailua Kona for the markets. Would love to come visit again.

The condo was exactly as advertised. Great location clean throughout. Lanai was where we spent most our time when at the condo whether eating breakfast, having coffee or even dinner and off course watching the ocean. Dealing with Brent was excellent as he replied within the hour all that we asked of him. We met Loree twice and both times she was very responsive. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who might be visiting Kona. We did the whole Island for the three weeks we were there. Visited coffee farms, went to the volcano park. up the north coast and around the south end of the island. Went to the City of Refuge, Painted church and took in a luau. We did many more activities too numerous to mention. The condo provided us a great place to stay and if it possible we would like to do again. Thank you Brent for providing a great vacation spot. My brother , his wife and I had a really enjoyable stay in this gorgeous condo. It had everything that we needed and more. All the living areas are very nice and the lanai is wonderful. We really enjoyed our morning coffee in the very comfortable chairs out looking at the ocean and gardens. We want to come back. Our host was very responsive and great to work with too.
