The condo was comfortable and functional. We found plenty to do even though West Maui was still reeling from the fires, but the condo and condo complex were so nice we could have just hung out there the whole time. We used the pool and jacuzzi almost every day. The water temps were just right and not over-chlorinated. The putting green has a chest nearby with putters and balls, so we took advantage of that. The gardeners do a wonderful job of keeping everything looking nice. Every day, we enjoyed sitting on the shady lanai, looking at the ocean with the palm trees in the foreground. In late September, the sun sets just south of the island of Lanai, and we could see it set from our balcony, or other evenings we walked about 100 yards to the beach to take it in. We could see turtles pop their head above the water to check things out. Some even came up to the beach nearby to spend the night. Very enjoyable time.

Clean unit on a nice resort. For a 1 bedroom condo, it's great to have 3 beds and 2 bathrooms, especially with teenagers. Well equipped and the washer/dryer was a huge plus for our family. Had everything we needed for a day at the beach, including boogie boards and chairs. Having 2 AC units is a plus.

Loved the quiet time hours. - this helped keep noise and partying to a minimum
The security on site was very comforting.
Nice easy walk to Kraken coffee food truck so that was a super bonus.
Coolers and beach chairs were very handy to have and we used them often
Watch sunsets off the deck or head to the water and watch it from shore.

The room was nice, the view was good but while my kids were swimming in the pool, they got harassed by older people. There is a lot of older couples who stay here and we’re not very welcoming for children swimming and playing in the pool. My children don’t get a lot of chances to swim in the pool and they were excited.
I would not recommend this property if you have kids in the age range of 4-16 years old. As these old folks said they were splashing to much and when we asked, haven’t you been a kid before, and he said “No!”.
I would recommend this place for older people only.

We were right on the beach.Our view was absolutely perfect. The condo had everything you needed to make your stay perfect. Coolers, beach chairs,umbrellas, no need to pack pool/beach towels cause their there. So save the space in your suitecase for souvenirs .All the kitchen appliances to make your stay convenient. Beds were nice and comfy. Washer and dryer in condo so no need to pack multiple outfits save suite case space. They have travel cups you can use to take to your excursions. If your an over packer like me I’m telling you you will be set to go from the moment you arrive at the condo. Caroline keeps you up dated before you arrive so that gives you peace of mind. And this place was so calm and peaceful. No loud noise at night,no kids running up and down the hallways. This was the absolute best place I’ve ever stayed. If I make a trip back to Hawaii I will for sure choose this condo..Thank You

This is our fourth time in this condo and we had a very pleasant stay. The condo is very comfortable, the grounds are immaculate, and the weather is perfect. Maui Sunset is right on the ocean, affords a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere but is also conveniently close to stores for any required shopping. We hope to return next year.

Loved the proximity to beach, gorgeous view from the lanai, well maintained grounds and pool. Rented snorkling gear from the desk near the pool for reasonable rate. Makena Landing had good snorkling, but Honolua Bay was magical and we saw all kinds of tropical fish, coral and sea turtles. Worth the drive to the north west coast. Check out Nakalele blowhole while you're up that way.

Wonderful facility in a nice location. Beautiful grounds. Nice big warm, swimming pool. Hot tub was out of commission when we were there which was a drag but that can’t be helped. Overall, an excellent experience.

We rented this condo for thanksgiving break! Checking was smooth. Towels, beach chairs and coolers were really helpful! Condo was clean. We enjoyed our meals looking over ocean. Watching Sunset at Maui sunset was awesome.
We get to see few turtles in the morning when we were walking on the nearby beach.
Really a great place to enjoy and relax!

Had an absolutely lovely experience staying in this unit. It’s updated, clean, comfortable, and it also faced away from the direct sun so stayed a reasonable temp! Caroline was a gem and so responsive and friendly when we had questions. Bit of a walk (maybe 10 mins?) to shops etc but not too far. 10/10 would stay again!

We have rented this unit two years in a row and have rebooked for next year, adding a few more days each time. We really appreciate the boogie boards, plentiful towels, beach chairs, coolers, etc as our family thrives in the beautiful ocean waters. This property was perfect for my family of 3. It’s well situated and the grounds are impeccably maintained, yet feels down-to-earth and comfortable. Elegant but not stuffy like a Wailea resort. Well stocked kitchen, everything was self explanatory, and great communication with Caroline. Outstanding value, professional host, fresh linens and lots of toys - you can’t go wrong. Best of all it has a trash chute. I love that thing. I will forever being spoiled after having one - if only for a short amount of time.

This rental is a great home base for fun on Maui. North Kihei is a convenient location if you like to do day excursions around the island. We liked that the condo faces about west/northwest and you can see the ocean but it doesn't get overheated from direct sunlight. The condo had everything we needed, the pool and hot tub are great, and the complex seemed very well maintained. When we were there the complex seemed almost entirely retirees and families with young kids. The beach right by the condo isn't a great swimming beach but beautiful and good for walking, wading, and (probably) SUP. Communication with host was excellent.

Our stay was perfect. The location was great- the beach was quiet and we watched sea turtles swim by, there are paddleboards and kayaks for rental, the grounds are meticulously maintained, there are great restaurants and a food truck park within 0.5 miles. The condo itself is spotless- which I'm sure is difficult with all the fun outdoor activities. There are beach chairs, towels, coolers, umbrellas, sunscreen, boogie boards, and I'm sure other items for your adventure. I think the only two things we had to get for our stay were coffee and laundry detergent. Lastly the host was amazing and super communicative. We woke up on the morning of the last day of the trip to find out the airlines has canceled our flight; and within 30 minutes she'd gotten back to me and had everything arranged so we could extend our stay by another half a day. It was truly a lifesaver with a 5 month old in towe. I only with the airlines had been as accommodating as our host was!!! I will definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

We’ve stayed at the Sunset the last 26 years. It feels like home away from home. This condo is an EXCELLENT place to stay in Maui. The condo was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The views from the balcony are AMAZING!! It is close to markets, restaurants and beaches. Has always been a great place to stay.
P.S. For a simple breakfast with no view but good food and Coffee visited Home Maid Cafe. That you can walk to.

Had a great stay at this property. Clean, comfortable, safe, well equipped, easy access, plenty of easy parking, plenty of privacy at beaches within walking distance but just minutes to town/restaurants/stores. Liked having washer/dryer available. Convenient central location to head out from in any direction. Short drive to/from the airport. I highly recommend this property.

The property was great, quiet, and right on the beach. Our unit was clean and offered several different sleeping arrangements including a blow up bed to accommodate our family. We found it super helpful to be able to borrow beach chairs, boogie boards, and an ice chest for our daily outings that the owner left for us to use. It's always nice to have a kitchen on vacation to save money. We had some issues with the WiFi the last two days, but overall everything was pretty awesome.

We have rented B213 many times. The owner, Caroline, is very accessible and so nice to deal with. Her condo has everything we need for a very enjoyable stay, which this year was 2 weeks. We believe Maui Sunset is one of the best properties in Kihei. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool, hot tub, and grills are taken care so well. We always look forward to our next visit to Maui!

The atmosphere of the complex seems very kid friendly. B213 has an ok view, not as nice as the higher numbers. The condo was acceptable. Bed was comfortable and air conditioners worked well. Toilets are super low and dated. We will likely come back to Maui Sunset.

Arrived late as our flight was delayed, even though after hours keys were ready. Got in and were amazed at how clean and new everything was. View exactly as shown on site, there was a wonderful basket of fruit and chocolates and nuts, nice touch. Owner e mailed a couple days in to ensure everything was good, another nice touch. This unit is close to everything in Kihei, and touring the island I realized that Kihei is the perfect place to stay as weather is always better there and it's a great central place to start for anywhere you want to go. There are many places to go for food, drink, coffee, all within 5 minutes, safeway, longs and times just minutes away. We went everywhere but many days just spent mornings and sundowns on the lanai. The grounds are immaculately kept, pool warm and always clean. We were referred by another couple from work and I will refer this unit to all my friends. We are already planning a return trip in March of 2015 and I certainly hope we can get this unit again. It is so nice to have a fully equipped kitchen so it was easier to save money on a few meals, brand new washer dryer and dishwasher. Bedroom is spacious but we spent almost every night on the pullout which was comfortable and nearer the lanai.

We had a great time at this special place. We selected this condo because it was centrally located in Maui. This condo worked out great as we were able to hit all of the "highly ranked beaches" on Maui.
Caroline was very helpful. Her advice to rent snorkel equipment for the week was appreciated.
The condo was well supplied to make this a great family vacation with my wife and two young children.

I stayed for week recently and this unit is fantastic! We were welcomed by a greeting basket with fruit and some goodies, which was a great way to kick off the vacation. There are some great ocean views from the lanai and the full kitchen is great too for nights that you don't want to eat out. The building overall is very clean and the staff are helpful. The owner was very professional and helpful in setting up the rental as well. Highly recommend staying here!

This condo was great! My family and I loved the comfort and it’s location. The condo itself is quite large and bright. Even though it’s one bedroom, having two bathrooms was nice. All the appliances were like new and worked well. The kitchen was full of various utensils for cooking and an assortment of plates, glasses and cups. The sleeper sofa in the living room was comfortable and large, but a little pushed through in the middle so you always end up in the middle of the bed by morning. We liked the location the most because it’s within minute of beaches. There is a Safeway and another 24hr groceries store just 3 minutes away. The airport and Costco are only 10 minutes away. These condos are right at the beginning of the road to Wailea, Lahaina, “Road to Hana”, Heleakala, and the aquarium. Just in walking distance from the condo there’s a superb little craft market for souvenirs and all things Hawaiian, fairly cheap. The premises were beautiful, equipped with BBQ grills and neat landscaping. We felt safe because there’s a guard circulating around and even the pool gate is always locked by your key. The owner of the condo did a great job with keeping us informed and sent us follow up e-mails, which was nice to know that we were not forgotten and valued as tenants. Overall we were very pleased with this place, it made our vacation in Maui much more relaxed and stress-free.

Our recent 3 week stay at the Maui Sunset was excellent,my girlfriend an I had a perfect vaction.The description of the location,layout & amenities was accurate with extras.The condo was very clean an well maintained,washer& dryer,full kitchen,free local phone service,internet an cable,kitchen came fully equipped.Parking was free,beach towels,beach chairs,cooler an extra welcome package where a real plus.The grounds are park like with large pool& jacuzzi,BBQ area,exercise room,tennis and putting greens.The office staff where very friendly,an helped use on several items (thanks Bonny).This was much better then a hotel room.Carol the owner is very nice an easy to talk with,what a great vaction this was...Mahalo to all...Indiana (BOB)

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful accommodations provided at this condo. It was warm, relaxing and centrally located to shops and dining. All amenities were provided and the owner's assistance was complete, personal and greatly appreciated. The grounds at the Maui Sunset are impeccable and there is definitely a "family-friendly" atmosphere. When we return to Maui, this unit will be at the top of our list.

Aloha,we were greeted with a basket of fruit and goodies, which was great because we got in late. This condo was perfect in every way. The bed was so comfortable we fell asleep instantly. It was very nice to have beach towels,cooler and snorkeling gear to use. The location is central and only takes a few minutes to get to any of the main beaches or any other activities.
Having such a well stocked kitchen made life so easy. The unit is very clean and very quiet. Having such a great condo to spend our holiday at made our vacation "Fantastic". We have already told friends and relatives about this condo and will be staying here next time.
Can't go wrong on this beautifull condo.

The place is very nice, good view, clean and most of all it feels like home.
We are very lucky that it was available when we needed accomodation and a place for my husband to relax and get better after the emergency surgery had to go through on our 2nd of our holiday.
