We really enjoyed our stay in Kona. Apartment has great location within walking distance to Kona restaurants. Nice and clean place with everything you need. Even beach gear and snorkeling equipment available. Only remark was a little confusion on WiFi code which was different from the one we were given and gave us some issues logging into our email for finding the code to the door.

Great location.
This is not a five or 4 star resort in case your looking for one. The complex however is quiet and friendly, there was no drama during our stay. The place could’ve been cleaner but an decent effort was made. The curtains on the windows are completely see through so we had to use blankets as curtains for privacy. All and all these are 5 star hosts with 2.5 star accommodations for an overall 3 star rating from these travelers.

We spent 5 nights in this nice, large and super equipped apartment. We did enjoy our stay, we felt like at home thanks to all the kind attentions, The location is perfect to visit Big Island during the day and come back to see the magnificent sunsets from the swimming pool !! The location is perfect. Easy checkin/check-out. There is a collection of beach gear you can use. The room was just as it looked in the pictures. Nice, clean, and spacious. We enjoyed the balcony seating at night; it was a great way to unwind and listen to the Coqui. Parking is right below the unit. The pool area has a great view of the ocean; pool's water temperature was perfect! It is a very quiet area.
I suggest going to Don's Mai Tai Bar & Restaurant for dinner or drinks and music with a great view of the sunset. Check out Kahalu’u Beach Park or Beach 69 for good snorkeling.

The condo was beautiful.
The complex itself was in need of some upgrades, but the condo itself was nicely upgraded, well-stocked and beautiful.
One of the only suggestions I would have would be some window treatments would have been nice.
There is a nice amount of vegetation in front of the lanai offering privacy. However there is still a significant amount of both foot and vehicular traffic and the vegetation isn’t completely adequate. The existing curtains are sheer.

Beautiful sunset view from pool, but lounges too uncomfortable. We used the chairs at a table in the common area, where unfortunately there were smokers. The air conditioner was too loud, so the screen doors kept the temp fine, but with street noise. The birds sounds at dawn and dusk were wonderful. The smell of either scented cleaner or bug spray took a while after we aired the place on arrival before I could breath.

Many updates made this property a cozy and welcome stay while on the Big Island. In particular we appreciated the new mattress and the updated shower as well as the full kitchen facilities.

They didn’t tell us we had to download an app to use the washer and dryer. The directions to the parking spot could have been clearer. A map of the property would have been nice. There were some minor maintenance issues, mostly due to sickness of the person who normally cares for the place. The patio was quite smelly in one corner.

Location was great, apartment was good but AC could be way better, we were asked to turn everything off when leaving so we would come back to a 90 degree room. And it took the mini window AC all night to finally cool it down by that time we were already getting ready to leave. The AC and fan are very loud as well and with it being a studio apartment you had to hear it all night. Great private balcony and the location is walkable distance to the the downtown area.

First of all, Kim & Lake were very responsive hosts.
The location is wonderful. Close to, but not in town, with a coffee shop in walking distance. Felt spacious for a studio, even with a friend sleeping on the couch. Good assortment of beach stuff. Whether supplied or left by other renters, there was sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, several rolls of tp and paper towels, and some condiments in the fridge. The bed is comfy but I’m told the couch is not.
There are a few negatives:
The AC is very underpowered for the space and had to be running constantly when we were in the condo.
The condo is closer to the road than the ocean and the occasional loud vehicle can be heard.
But all in all it was a great time! Thanks!

We stayed here for our first two nights in Hawaii. The location was exactly what we wanted near enough to shopping centers for us to get supplies that we couldn't bring on the airplane. The room was clean and quaint. The comfy bed allowed us to start catching up on sleep lost in travel. We enjoyed walking down to the ocean and using this location as a launching point for our adventures on the big island! There's so much to do and see nearby it was impossible to get to it all. This place was perfect for my wife and I. It was extremely clean, and very well stocked. They had pretty much anything you could think of and the pool was such a great spot to watch the sunset. Very quick drive to the town or would probably be a 20-30 minute walk. Great location and great experience staying here. Would definitely book again.

My husband and I stayed at Kim and Lake's lovely condo for 4 nights on our honeymoon stop on the Big Island and could not have been happier! The condo was clean and perfect for what we needed - the private pool overlooking the ocean was SUCH a treat! Location was fantastic - Kona is such a cute town and we were so happy we chose to stay here. While the drive to Volcanoes National Park was a DRIVE, we knew that going in, and were fine with it - we made stops along the way for some malasadas and beach time. Would highly recommend staying here and hopefully will be able to come back on our next trip to the Big Island!

We had a wonderful stay at this comfortable condo in south Kona. Everything was better than expected: full kitchen allowed us to cook meals, spacious lanai to enjoy coffee in the morning, dinner or a drink in the evening, larger bathroom two people can easily maneuver around each other, comfortable bed, beach accessories, easy check-in, owners were easy to communicate with…we would definitely stay here again. We wanted an affordable oceanside view for our last three days in Hawaii and Holualoa provided it. It was a great apartment with lots of pluses, the pool/rec area was right on the ocean for great sunrise and sunset viewing and the location was convenient. In general property was nice, Could use a bit more maintenance. Documentation sent to me and in room was way out of date, enough to be annoying, throw away binder in the room if you are not going to update it. Perhaps add an instruction on how to use television system. Never did receive my refund for damage deposit that paperwork said was a hold on my credit card. Spoke with owner and they said VRBO is the problem. I just shouldn't be the one looking for a refund or if I was or wasn't charged, don't put it on me to sort out inaccurate paperwork. All in all the bed was adequate, couch was inadequate uncomfortable to sit on. Nice kitchen, and bathroom. good designated parking spot, very convenient. Electronic lock nice touch. Could be maintained better. Laundry room very convenient to use. We enjoyed our trip and stay!

Centrally located to enjoy a relaxing vacation. This studio unit is well equipped, basic items are easily located in the kitchen and bath. Kim and Lake were excellent about communication and very attentive to keeping us informed. There are several beaches in the immediate area and the pool area has an amazing view. The property manager was very visible and reminded us several times of property rules regarding eating, drinking, and smoking in common areas. The complex laundry area was clean and very convenient. My only complaint was that the mattress was quite low and lacked support.

The location of the rental is its biggest selling point. Loud corner apartment next to busy highway makes for super early mornings. Smelly kitchen sponge and fly infested trash can on balcony were a bummer. The bed has got to go. From the ugly exposed foam underneath to the giant hole in the middle of the mattress, we were uncomfortable to say the least. A few simple improvements and attention to detail would go a long way.

My daughter & I got a much needed trip out of the cold. This lovely little condo was perfect for us. The location was close to everything. The area seems a little older, but inside everything was clean and modern. We felt quite safe and at home.
I ended my last day in Kona in the hospital with appendicitis. My daughter was given the job of packing and cleaning up the condo while I was in surgery. I do hope it was left in perfect condition.

The room had a weird stench when we finally got in (housekeeper was still cleaning the place an hour and a half after our check in time). If neither of these things happened, I would have given it 5 stars. Smell went away after we sprayed some perfume around. Great location, not too far from the action on Alii drive, but not right in the heat of things either. Place is well equipped with everything you need for the beach (chairs, umbrella, snorkels, cooler, etc). Glad to have AC but it was one of the loudest window units I have ever heard! Beware they have A LOT of rules and threats for breaking rules, which is not very welcoming. Pretty large condo complex, lots of permanent residents, so I get it, but just beware.
