We enjoyed our stay in this Kauhale Makai unit very much. In addition to it being super clean and recently renovated, I loved all the little touches (such as nightlights, a drying rack for swimsuits, and beach chairs) that the owner provided for guests. Joe was very responsive to any questions we had and offered to work with us on a flexible check out time, which we really appreciated!

This unit is amazing! Everything is new and updated and beautifully done. Beds were so comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Loved our view from the top floor was. The beach was never busy and the water was calm.
Recommendations: Rent a paddle board delivery for your stay.
Get Poke at Tamura's Fine Wine and Liquors, Brunch at Nalu's and anything at OAO Sushi Go food truck.
Bring Binoculars! You can see whales from the beach!

Home was beautiful with an amazing view! Room was as pictured with nice amenities. Property had a shared pool and hot tub which we frequented during our stay. It was a short walk to a beach which was empty! The location was great too, a short drive to many restaurants and businesses. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

We came to Maui for a long weekend and found the perfect condo to stay at. It was clean. The beds were super comfortable and the view is fantastic. We didn’t spend much time in the condo because, you know, Maui. But it was a great place to have as a home base.

The place was just as it is listed. Very up to date and had everything we could possibly need. Beach chairs and cooler were a huge plus. And the view was incredible! Nice pool and the property was steps from the beach. Will definitely look at this again.

Completely remodeled is no exaggeration. This place is beautiful! The ocean view from the balcony is stunning and the sunsets were gorgeous. This condo exceeded our expectations. The owner thought of everything. We made use of the beach chairs, boogie board, and especially the sand free beach towels! Everything was thought of to make the stay comfortable for the guests. Laundry and pool were awesome as well! Thank you!

Relaxing and beautiful condo, decorated perfectly. Owners were extremely responsive and helpful. View was gorgeous and location ideal. Pool and hot tub were fun for a low key visit since we’re not typical tourists looking to sightsee. Location is central for plenty of that if you’re looking for it, though. Highly recommend.

We’ve been to Maui a few times before and Joe’s place is the best. Very clean, beautifully decorated, modern, and well located in Kihei. Joe’s unit is on the top floor at the end of the building, facing the ocean (not the pool) so it was extremely peaceful and quiet. The inner facing units seem to have a different vibe than the outer facing ones. The beach in front got rough when the afternoon winds picked up but there is a reef protected beach 1 minute away. The chairs, towels and cooler were so helpful to have. Laundry on the same floor made it easy to wash a couple loads at a time. Joe was very responsive to our questions. We would love to stay here again!

I wish I would have paid more attention to what was included in the condo because I would have packed less. Specifically, each bathroom had a blow dryer, body wash and shampoo and conditioner. The owner supplies some great Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a Tommy Bahama beach umbrella and an insulated beach bag! SO convenient!! The property is nice and low key, so is Kihei. I didn't have any issues with the other tenants and couldn't hear any neighbors being on the top floor. The laundromat on the same floor was helpful for not overpacking too. The view is spectacular to wake up to and the beach just a short walk from the condo has amazing sunsets and turtles swimming by if you look closely. All in all we had such a great time and relaxing stay in this lovely condo.

We recently stayed here for a week on our first trip to Maui. This is a fantastic location with easy access to just about anywhere on the island. The unit was recently remodeled and had everything we needed for our stay. we would gladly stay here again on a future trip.

We appreciated being on the top floor with no one above us and wonderful views of the waterfront. Joe is a great host, very responsive and helpful. The finishes and amenities are very high end, and the view of the ocean, beach and mountains are great. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better spot for our Maui getaway. I had a toddler (16 month) and they had a pack n play and fully stocked rooms with linens / pillows and blankets which she likes too.Fully stocked kitchen. Has towels, beach chairs , cooler, beach blankets and beach umbrella which came in very handy. Has two big sized bedrooms - master with a King size bed , tv and it's own bathroom . The second room has a queen size bed and it's own bathroom. Has a big size family room with a tv and adjacent space for the fold out dinner table and two chair counter. Patio with entrance from master and family room . Patio has tables and chairs. Great location in Kihei with a private beach as your backyard. Close to all the family friendly beaches( kamaole, big beach- my fav, Mākena beach etc) , great local food spots close by ( Kihei caffe, cafe olei, miso phat, Paia fish market, tamuras poke etc) and resorts and shopping in Wailea . Also short drive 20 min to Lahaina and downtown area , the airport (ogg) and Makawao . Really great location for anything you want to do in Maui. Close to a lot of businesses that do whale watching, surfing , snorkeling etc.
Property manager was very responsive and accommodating
Would overall give it 5 star and stay here again if we do come back to Maui!

My husband and I stayed in Kihei for a few short days on our last days in Maui. The only thing I regret about our trip is that we didn't book this brand new unit for our entire trip. We stayed in another condo in Lahaina and it was not even comparable to this amazing unit.
The unit has everything we could think of wanting. A fully stocked kitchen was so nice for making dinners and breakfasts and for watching the sunrises. The view out of the condo is breathtaking. I can't wait to go back and book this condo for our entire trip.
