The Maui Sunset is famous for its manicured lawns and ocean front location, the wide V shape of the two buildings assure everyone is looking towards the ocean. BUT this condo is on the top floor and closest one bedroom to the ocean. Only the 2 bedrooms are closer. I love this view.

Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. 1 bedroom with private attached bathroom. 2nd bathroom down the hall with shower, large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. PLUS large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer. General Info: The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18 hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60 foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 12 family members staying at the Maui Sunset and it has everything that the adults and children need to relax and close enough to enjoy the beaches, snorkeling and boating. We rented four condos that are fully equipped. The grounds are maintained daily along with the large pool and six gas grills. The views from the balconies are beautiful looking out to the ocean and the West Mountain with fantastic sunsets. The staff is great, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it all. Your security man, Joe from Jersey is a pleasure to talk with. Thank you. We will return again.

This year B514 was the winner. Everyone who traveled with us said next year they want a unit that sits up higher with better views. The B building is definitely set up at a better angle than the A building. Unit B514 did not disappoint. It was very clean, new wood floors, and everything worked properly. Thanks again. See you next year!

The tropical fruits and fresh fish is also a plus. The condo is clean, new flooring, and comfortable.

And the sunsets are amazing. Our only disappointment is the fitness center. It is like working out in a dungeon. Would have rated 5 stars except for that.

This was a return visit and as before the suite was perfect, clean, well appointed, shady and cool in the afternoon. The parking was never a problem. The pool and grounds are very well kept and the walk to the beach is right outside the door. We look forward to our next visit.

Carpet needs to be replaced due to age, stains and lifting from pad. Air conditioning not completely keeping up with heat and humidity. Room well supplied with accessories for cooking and eating in.

Beautiful ocean and garden views, plenty of activities available to do, very well maintained facilities, inside and out, and the friendliest, most helpful staff (including reservation associates). Oh, by the way, did I mentioned the beautiful sunsets (every evening). This was a surprise trip that my wife gave me for my 70th birthday. We enjoyed the facility so much that we're coming back in October 2019 to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

The kitchen is well-supplied-had everything we needed except a coffee grinder. The only thing less than great was that the living room furniture is not very comfortable. All the personnel we dealt with, starting with booking, were very helpful. We highly recommend Maui Sunset.

Very clean. (I will note this is a 40+ year old property, so some more 'modern features' not available. Individual suites vary in terms of décor, furniture. General property condition is good.) Wonderful grounds and access to adjacent park and beaches. Loved the pool area, and various recreation amenities (incl. tennis/pickleball, shuffleboard, putting.) Office, housekeeping and maintenance staff were most helpful and polite--we appreciated our positive interactions with staff. For stays in Kihei this is a good property.

Overall I have to say the property is well maintained and our Condo was clean and had an amazing view. The best part of Maui Sunset was actually the sunset every evening, it was incredible. While it looks like nothing great from the street, the grounds and pool are very pretty and very well maintained. Our wifi never worked correctly but other than that I can't really say anything bad about the place.

B side is shaded from the sun and keeps the condo cool enough that you very seldom need AC. Wonderful whale watching fro our lanai.
