The Space:
We want to share a piece of paradise, what we call the 'Aloha La'i Suite' with you. Aloha La’i (pronounced La-ee) in Hawaiian literally means peaceful, serene, calm, quiet, stillness, tranquility, and solace. La'i is associated with nature and the elements, specifically rain, wind, the sea, and sky and our intent for you is to have a relaxing, wonderful time during your visit with us.
This is part of our Aloha Aku Rentals family where the South Maui weather is dependably sunny and warm year long. Tradewinds caress you as you relax on the shore of a forever ocean. In the summer these same Tradewinds are fantastic for windsurfing. You can launch directly from the beach out front! You can also enjoy excellent sunsets most nights from the west facing beach.
Waiohuli Beach Hale is on the shore of the blue Pacific Ocean with views of the West Maui Mountains and the nearby islands of Lanai, Kahoolawe and the world-renowned snorkeling and dive island called Molokini.

Great place for a couple. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Comfortable bed, amazing shower and great washing machine and dryer. No dishwasher but the view and location makes up for that. Clean, and quiet place to relax.

Condo was great!! View from lanai was amazing. Spent a lot of time at sunset and sunrise either on the lanai or beach. Updated condo... very nice interior. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was a little light. We had a minor issue and thought the owners and management company were very responsive. The only thing I can think of is maybe add a toaster oven. Otherwise our stay was wonderful.

This was the little piece of paradise my husband and I had been searching for. The view was spectacular, everything you would need to make meals was accessible and the condo had all the comforts. Beautiful view and nice, modern, bright, and well-appointed condo! 2 ACs -both in living room and the bedroom which was very helpful. Thought of everything- down to sugar packets and coffee in the morning, olive oil spray for cooking, left welcome chocolates for us!, they had even little detergent sheets to wash your clothes! And wonderful beach towels and beach chairs which were perfect to take to Big Beach! The bed was very comfortable and quiet to sleep as the bedroom was in the back- furthest from the beach. The balcony view was amazing and much appreciated! as the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay- our scuba diving, luau, and whale watch tours were all canceled so we spent much more time than planned in the condo- a nice oasis! Walking distance to many restaurants, and a short 1 mile drive to a local shopping center. Ample parking and beautiful grounds and pool. Central to all activities and day trips throughout the island. If we visit again, I would definitely stay here if possible! Thank you for opening your condo to us!

This review is based on our 7th time to Maui. Unit faces the water and a lovely patch of green grass where people come together to watch the sunset every night, or do yoga or just sit and overlook the beach. It is situated on a quiet beach in Kihei. The busier beach with a lot of people is a 2 minute drive. The swimming pool is warm and the people in the complex are all are respectful, quiet and friendly. The unit is nicely renovated and great for 2 people. The shower has an amazing, big shower head with a hose that you can adjust the pressure. The washer and dryer are easy to use in the unit located beside the washroom. The bed is comfortable and a choice of pillows helps. 2 gorgeous beach towels. The basic pots and pans, dishes etc. are good in the kitchen and NO DISHWASHER which was ok for the 2 of us. I grew up with no dishwasher for the first 35 years of my life. Chairs for the beach, and tons of other stuff to use were located in the closet. Overall a bright, clean unit that did disappoint and did not smell….unlike the other unit we rented in the same complex just a few doors down from the same owners.

When we checked in the unit was 89 degrees. It took all afternoon and evening to try to cool. Despite leaving the unit running while we were out exploring each day, when we would return it would be 83-87 degrees. The TV did not work our entire stay. We were told it was problems with spectrum. We just wanted to listen to one of the music channels. The floors were filthy. The first night we were walking around barefoot to only realize at bedtime our feet were black! The rest of the time we wore socks which were also then very dark with dirt. The view from this unit if magnificent and the close proximity to the beach was great to have. There is a lack of decent dining options in close proximity to this area. The on-site property manager was very responsive and nice and tried to assist but at the end of the day nothing could be done about the AC. We were given $100.00 credit (still not showing on credit card) which really fell flat.

We stayed at the condo with 2 teens in July 2022 for 4 nights before we went to Oahu's "concrete jungle". The location and sunset views could not have been better if you are looking for quiet time. The owners/management were very accommodating and quickly responded to our request prior and during the stay. We took the free beach amenities and free kayaks, paddle boats for granted until we were on Oahu where they nickel and dime you for everything. Pool seemed smaller than what we are used to until you realize it's almost like having a private one. We planned on going to some of the famous beaches in Maui until we realized we have all we need at our doorsteps including swimming with turtles. Wish we could have had couple more days here.

We had an amazing holiday at the best unit in Waiohuli. Gorgeous sunsets & sunrises. Quiet, convenient, central. The pool is exquisite & the bbq area was well kept. The grounds are landscaped beautifully. The unit was well stocked with all the toys & extras needed for our holiday. Pumping A/C and the view. The view was everything. Our unit was exceptionally clean and all amenities were in great condition. Beachfront view although at this beach you need to be careful of the reef; water shoes recommended. This property was more than we could have hoped for! The condo was just beautiful, updated kitchen with all the basics and then some. We were able to cook most of our meals from “home” enjoying the beautiful view and eating on the patio. So nice to have laundry right in our unit, they even provided detergent. I think the best part may have been the bed! Either the mattress or sheets/pillows mixed with the sounds of the ocean all night was absolutely wonderful! We slept the best we ever have on a vacation here! Unobstructed views of the ocean, private beach just steps away and beautiful grounds were all parts that made this location even better! We also loved being in the middle of island, very easy to get anywhere. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us, will absolutely stay again when we return!
