Week long trip spend mostly on the beach. Beach isnt a walking distance from this location but you have a spot for a rental car. We used uber for the 10 min ride the magic sands. Rental has pretty much everything you need to go boogie boarsing, a cooler, snorkels, etc. Was a quiet building and has a nice outdoor set up for reading and having youe coffee. I was able to do calligraphy here and my teenager thought ahe could easily live in this condo. All round great experience.

What a great experience. Joshua & Cara are excellent hosts who went above and beyond to ensure our first visit to the Big Island went smoothly by providing us with information regarding places to visit and travel times. The condo was very comfortable with everything required for our stay, we only had to provide our own food. The location was very close to eateries and stires and easily accessed from the airport.The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking.Our stay on the Big Island was wonderful. We recommend any singles or couples visiting Kailua-Kona consider staying at this lovely home away from home.

we had a great stay, the location of the property was the best part we could travel on day trips with ease..if you want to walk to the shops and restuarants on the waterfront it was a five minute walk ..the grocery store and Wal-mart was a five minute drive up Henry St.The unit had everything dishes to snorkel and beach towels..our favorite was the king bed it was really comfortable..the property was secure and the private parking was a plus..the only thing that could have been better was the shower it could use an update.Overall our experience was good...

We had the best time celebrating Christmas in Hawaii. The location of Joshua and Cara's condo was ideal - not on the busy main road but very close to all of the restaurants, shopping and amenities. Quick walk to the beach and easy driving access to all of the main beaches. Spacious condo, loved how big the kitchen and living area was. Well stocked throughout. The view was excellent. Parking stall being close to the buildings front door was convenient. Very quiet building. Joshua provided us with great recommendations for snorkelling, beaches, and hiking. We would absolutely stay here again.

We came to celebrate my niece's wedding. The location of the condo was perfect for the sunset dinner cruise and wedding celebration. We alsomanaged to squeeze in a visit to erupting Kilauea, the Vanillerie Farm, and Greenwell coffee farmThe farmers market is right around the corner, and so many places are within walking distance for great food, ice cream, and snacks.The house ihas so many thoughtful items available - boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers. The only suggestion would be to add a mat to the slippery tub. There is also a flickering light in the kitchen.Overall, it was a comfortable stay! inkitchenshave ice

Joshua and Cara are truly the definition of “above and beyond” as hosts. Their home away from home was cozy, inviting, functional, and comfortable! They provided super clear and helpful instructions, as well as provided amazing recommendations and advice. Their condo had everything we could need including snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, and MORE! I cannot thank you guys enough for n making our honeymoon so lovely and manageable. We stayed here for one week in October and had a great stay. The apartment is ideally located close to the centre of Kona with restaurants, bars and beaches all in walking distance. Convenient parking right outside. Equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable - well equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Beach equipment and towels supplied. We loved spending time on the terrace, enjoying views of sunrise and sunset. Friendly and prompt communication from the hosts. We would definitely stay again.

We have stayed in the Kailua Village complex 5 times, with this being the second time in this unit (last time previous owners). This building is solid and we have literally never heard the next door or upstairs neighbours in all our stays there. Kuakini highway is busy but with the doors and windows closed you can barely hear it. Joshua was amazing to deal with and answered messages almost immediately when I had questions. Check in was seamless. The condo is equipped with everything you need for your stay. We especially liked the provided coolers, beach chairs, and umbrella. There is no better place to stay for Ironman as you can walk to all pre race events as well as the race itself. Parking in Kona is hard to find so this is definite a plus. Listening to the coqui frogs in the evening on the lanai after an amazing sunset never gets old. We also enjoyed the Sunday morning church bells and choir singing. This was such a great place to stay! The size of the condo is great - we did not feel cramped at all and are very glad we chose this over a hotel. It was in a very convenient location, and most evenings we just walked to nearby shopping and restaurants. There are also great amenities, and we did use the laundry room on property a couple times. The condo was very clean, well-maintained, and decorated nicely. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to stay. Close to the main area in kona. Had everything we needed. The place was nice with a good view. Has a church right behind but you can see the ocean on both sides. The owner was really fast to respond when I couldn’t get the keypad to work (operator error). When we go back we will stay here again

The property owners , Joshua and Cara were such a pleasure to communicate with. Great people and Joshua's sense of humor was amazing.
The condo is centrally located to Kona. The building was very well maintained
Property manger, Rob was there with answers to any questions.
The condo was well supplied with anything you might need. Even peroxide and rubbing alcohol. LoL Only thing we had to buy was extra toilet paper.
We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Loved waking up to the palm tree balcony level view and the church and Sunday morning bells were beautiful. The condo was equipped with so much beach umbrellas to boogie boards to lots of kitchen stuff and great reference reading about the area. Convenient to everything.

If you’re looking to be close to the action and have a lovey, walkable retreat after a day of exploring the town or an excursion, this is the place for you!
Condo is nicely equipped and comfortable, set up nicely to catch the breeze (with a handy back up a/c to take the edge off when needed… which for this Albertan was a bit those first couple days!).
Joshua and Cara were great hosts, and we won’t hesitate to book here on our next trip through the area. Thanks for a terrific 25th anniversary week!

This condo is perfect for your stay in Kona. Spotlessly clean and there is every amenity you could wish for in the condo. Loved the lanai - sat out there to watch the sunrise and enjoy breakfast. The location is very central to the waterfront and shops, restaurants and tourist shopping. Would definitely stay here again. Forgot to mention - the king size bed is super comfortable - had the best sleeps ever!

Nice view from the balcony, short walk to shops and restaurants. The condo is perfect for two, very clean, the bathroom with two sinks, comfy kingsize bed, lots of storage and a great stocked kitchen. Beachtowels, chairs and cooler are also provided. No need for the A/C, the tradwinds and ceiling fans are enough.
We did not use the pool, it is very small.
The location is right in the middle of Kailua Kona with all the noice of a city - traffic, church bells, music.... The compex itself is quiet with friendly neighbors and a helpful building Manager.
Our 2 week stay was wonderful, comunication with Joshua was easy and with fast response to every question.
We plan to stay here again on our next visit.

We would definitely recommend this accommodation. From the beginning, the owners responded to communication quickly. The check in process was very organized & easy to follow. The owners have a binder in the living room with lots of good information on the condo as well as local beaches & activities. The location is great! There are awesome views from the balcony especially at sunset. The bed was very comfortable & the shower had really good pressure. We found it to be a quiet building so it’s a nice place to relax. However, if you want to be where there’s action, it’s right around the corner. The condo is well stocked with absolutely anything you’d need during your stay.

Property was well furnished and very welcoming. The owner thought of all the things that his guests might enjoy. Coolers, beach chairs, towels, boogie board, snorkels, fins. Place to dry swimsuits. In the kitchen, blender, rice cooker, hand mixer, coffee grinder, french press....I could go on. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
You could explore Hilo, Wailokoa, Captain Cook. North, South, East. Just the right spot to relax or go on an adventure. I would definitely recommend this place.

Smooth communication and check in - appreciated binder with instructions and recommendations- which lead us to Spencer’s Beach with borrowed beach chairs! perfect! Comfortable layout and well equipped kitchen- after short walk to market for fresh fruit, eased into days with cup of tea on balcony. Excellent location for driving to not only groceries but historical heritage parks and marine farm tours, then strolls to pier to view Mauna Loa. Really enjoyed our stay!

The condo was conveniently located and it had everything for our week's stay. We cooked a majority of our meals so the kitchen was fully stocked.
We also did a lot of snorkeling and the condo offered two masks and a pair of fins (ladies size). We rented my husband's fins from Kona Boys by King Kamehameha Hotel.
I brought my laptop so I can work remotely and the Wifi was really strong. I highly recommend this place and Joshua is very responsive should you have any questions.

The owners provided everything, that you could possibly need: beach towels and gear, 2 snorkels and masks, complete kitchenware, books, games, cleaning supplies, ice chest and cold packs, binoculars, plus 6 sets of towels, hand towels, and wash clothes. The property is very secure. A key is needed to use the elevator and shared facilities. The location was walking distance to restaurants and shops in downtown Kailua-Kona. Laundromat on the property.

Apartment worked wonders on honeymoon. Extremely well stocked, everything was very nice and neat coming in, and it was like stepping into someone’s lived-in apartment in terms of how well stocked it was. Only issues we had were with windows open to cool the place off, the outside road can be a little noisy, and the church bell is quite loud come Sunday morning.

Perfect location for exploring Kailua-kona!
my boyfriend and I came out a few days before a wedding, we were so happy to have a full kitchen, great shower pressure, easy entry, and basically all the comforts of home for our stay. The condo was charming, brightly lit and filled with everything we needed.
Huge plus: the bed/pillows were so comfortable!

We first stayed at this property in 2019 (different owner) and had it booked in 2020 (cancelled by pandemic). We knew what to expect. It's not fancy, but we find it to be a convenient place to stay in Kona, with an included parking spot and easy walk to ocean front restaurants. It's also generally easy to hit the road and explore the island from here. It is well equipped. Check in is really easy.

This is a great condo. Very comfy and well appointed. There is every amenity you need and then some. Enough dishes, utensils, pots and pans that you don't have to run the dishwasher every day. You can tell that the owners stay there because it is so liveable. The welcoming bottle of wine was a nice touch. The location is walking distance to both ends of the village which includes many restaurants and the farmers market. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Being on the 4th floor there is no need for the AC since the cross ventilation is delightful. We were there for 5 weeks and felt right at home. It was actually hard to leave. We had no concerns or problems at all. Joshua and Cara are great hosts.

I highly recommend this listing if you’re looking for a home base with everything you need for a vacation.
The condo is easy to find, and centrally located just off the main strip of Kona. Easy access to some beaches, restaurants, groceries stories and the highway to get around the island for any excursions (a dedicated parking spot is included). This place comes with everything you need for a Hawaii vacation (towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear etc.) and easily the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever rented/vacationed in. The ability to cook some meals on our own is a big plus if you don’t want to eat out every meal or a storm keeps you inside. The laundry room had plenty of machines to use and was available if needed. An AC is available but as most have mentioned not needed as the condo faces the ocean and gets a great breeze to keep things cool. Closing the shades during the day also helps a bunch.
Last and best, Josh and Cara are 100% customer service oriented. They have clearly put a lot of effort into creating a condo with everything you need to be comfortable and homey during your vacation. They were also super accommodating for any requests or questions we had during the trip. Reaching out with contact info early or to ensure there are no issues. Having a backup contact on-site was also re assuring.

Would recommend this listing if you’re looking for a great deal, good location, and just planning on using as a base for adventures around the island.
Pros:
*Great communication with owner. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their rental & have set up a smooth check in/check out process. Very responsive.
*Great location. Easy walking distance to all of downtown Kona.
*Great value. You’ll be hard pressed to find a condo for this price, in this location, as well stocked as this one is.
*Well stocked. Appreciated the availability of boogie board, cooler, beach towels, chairs & umbrellas.
*Netflix/smart TV
Cons:
* If you’re looking for a condo with a pool, I’d look elsewhere. Even during non-Covid times, this is not a pool that anyone would really want to spend much time at. During COVID, it’s inaccessible. You can’t use unless you schedule a time (only 3 people allowed at once) & have to have been on the island at least 2 weeks. This was the main downside of this rental for us. We have two kids (12 & 14) who I would have liked to have spent some downtime at a pool, but we couldn’t do that.
* Linens (towels/sheets) could use some refreshing. We also only found 4 bath towels, so for 4 people for a week that made it a bit challenging. I will say I did not ask if we could have more as it wasn’t a huge deal, we hung them outside on the rack to dry, but adding a few more would help.
* No laundry in unit, which I didn’t realize at first. I may have missed it mentioned in the listing. There is a laundry room in the building but as we really only used the condo for somewhere to sleep, we didn’t want to stick around waiting for laundry to run.
*When booking the unit, I’d asked the Joshua about how comfortable the pull out bed is. He honestly said that he hasn’t ever used it personally so he couldn’t say. I appreciated the frankness. We figured it would be fine as our two kids would be using it & they aren’t picky. The mattress is very thin, creaky & you can feel every spring. The kids both woke up saying they couldn’t sleep & their backs hurt. We went to Walmart & bought an air mattress to put on the bed & that solved the issue.
Overall you can tell the owners really care about their property & want you to enjoy your stay. Having all of the beach items & the kitchen really makes it a much better value than a hotel, but you’re missing out on amenities, like a pool.

The condo was perfect for our family of three, and the location was very central, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We cooked many of our meals at home, and found the kitchen to be very well stocked with everything we needed and more. The host Joshua was quick to respond to our questions and very easy to communicate with. We also enjoyed meeting Kathy, who lives in the building and is a back-up contact for questions and emergencies. Would highly reccomend this condo for a great stay in Kailua-Kona!
