Vacation was awesome and the accommodations were perfect. Whale watched from balcony and was within walking distance to snorkeling, eateries, park and walking trail. Easy access to highway to see other parts of the island. Easy commute to and from airport.

This condo was truly amazing. Tons of parking, easy access, and conveniently located close to a ton of restaurants and bars. Make sure you stop by Foodland and try the 8 different kinds of poki they sell! I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be staying here when I come back. Every unit has a balcony with a view of the ocean and we definitely took advantage of it!

Wonderful condo, quiet and clean with superb views of the park and water. Perfect location in Kihei near the stores and restaurants; lots of parking and a spacious condo with all the utilities. Air con was great in both main rooms, tv and kitchen area also spot on. The pool area is fantastic too - we had everything we needed for a great stay and would love to come back! Mahalo!

There were lots of pros staying at this location. The condo was well stocked with kitchen and laundry supplies. Beach chairs and snorkeling equipment were also provided. The condo was clean and had a nice view of the neighboring park and ocean. A supermarket and eateries were also in easy walking distance.
There usually was a nice ocean breeze, thus we did not turn on the room air conditioners that were available. The bed was a bit soft, but comfortable.
In terms of personal preference, since we did have the windows open the whole time, there was the street noise from S. Kihei Road that wasn't terrible, but noticeable. If you want walking distance to sand, this location doesn't have that.
We did reach out to the property management company regarding a non-functioning ice maker in the freezer. We did get a prompt call back and supposedly they checked to see if there was an issue. Other than turning off the ice maker, we did not get any feedback whether it was broken or if there wasn't a water line to the freezer. Not a showstopper, but it would have been nice to receive closure.
In general, we really liked the condo itself and the amenities that were provided. No general complaints and would consider staying at this location again.

Our stay at island surf 502 was excellent. The view was beautiful and the condo was incredibly comfort le all around. The location gave us easy access to all activities around the island. It is within two short blocks of several excellent restaurants and a really fun food truck garden. Very minor inconveniences were that the bathroom could get very warm and the curtains in the bedroom did not do a great job blocking the light from the hallway and parking lot. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location was close to restaurants and retail. The apartment had a great view of a park and the ocean. The apartment was well-stocked with dishes, cutlery, beach towels, beach chairs, laundry detergent, and a lot of other small items to help with the stay. There was an area nearby with very highly-rated food trucks. The only negatives were that it had a coffee maker but no coffee stocked and the AC in the bedroom was a little loud. Overall, highly recommend!

It was a great place to stay the condo is very clean with a nice view and lots of space. The only problem we had was that the ac was on a timer so during the night we had to get up multiple time to start it again which was not great for our quality of sleep. Otherwise it was well situate i recommended it.

What a centrally located area, close drive from airport(in case you Uber), across the street from the beach and park. Essy access to numerous dining locations and SUP and surf lessons use the beach for teaching! We would definitely do this location again!

I had to check out 1 day early due to a situation that was out of the hosts control. They were very understanding and righteously took care of me. That speaks volumes about the type of hosts they are. Very trustworthy in my opinion. I am more than pleased with the level of service and the conditions of the property and would definitely stay here again when I come back to Maui.

This condo was a great place to stay! All the amenities and updates were great! Glass on patio door was so clean you think the door is open. Only complaint not a fan of timers on A/C especially in bedroom and ceiling fans and pulls could have been a little cleaner. But over all a great place to stay and would definitely book again

While we stayed on Maui we drove a lot of the island and it was so nice to have a place that was really central to all the fun places. The condo was clean and updated and supplied with all that we needed. This was definitely a dream vacation and staying at Island Surf was one of the best decisions we made! Thank you!

This property was definitely five star. Views, location, cleanliness and amenities. If I had anything that I would change it would be the timers on the AC. Not a huge deal but don't make it through the night so you generally have to get up and reset. I was there in October, not even the hottest month. I would absolutely return.

Overall the Kihei location, the condo and the views were great. The kitchen has all the cookware and dinner ware we needed. The bed seemed old but pretty comfortable. However, on the 4h day of our 2-week stay there was a flash flood, covering the beach with red clay and turning the water a mirky, redish-brown. The local news advised that people should stay out until the water cleared. The impact to us was a 30-60 min drive each day to a clear beach. I understand that this is an act of nature, but not sure how often it happens in Kihei so thought I’d mention it. Island Surf sits in a low spot where some of the worst flooding happened and mud flowed directly past us to the ocean (and sat in the parking lot). The other MAJOR issue was that the ACs in the living room and bedroom were on timers (a dial on the wall that had to be manually turned) which I could have lived with. However, the timer in the bedroom maxed at 4 hours. So, if you go to bed at 10:00 the AC goes off at 2:00 and the room is stifling by 2:30. The discomfort wakes you up and you have to get out of bed to wind the dial to get the AC back on. Then it takes another half hour for the room to cool enough to sleep…for another 4-ish hours. And, the bedroom AC is Very Very loud. The timer in the living room is 6 hours.

We were so pleased with how clean the condo was and how nice it was. It was so comfortable and felt like home. The view is AMAZING! A quiet and clean place with all the dishes and utensils needed including a washer and dryer which was great so we didn’t have bring home Sandy wet clothes/swimsuits. A beautiful view from the huge slider door and nice lanai. Walking distance to everything we needed from the park and beach across the street, shopping, restaurants, liquor store, board rentals etc. we loved the Kihei cafe for breakfast, and Lava Rock restaurant for dinner. if you’re looking for a real Hawaiian / local experience and not the resort vibe Kihei is the place to stay!

A quiet and clean place with all the dishes and utensils needed including a washer and dryer which was great so we didn’t have bring home Sandy wet clothes/swimsuits. A beautiful view from the huge slider door and nice lanai. Walking distance to everything we needed from the park and beach across the street, shopping, restaurants, liquor store, board rentals etc. we loved the Kihei cafe for breakfast, and Lava Rock restaurant for dinner. if you’re looking for a real Hawaiian / local experience and not the resort vibe Kihei is the place to stay!

This is a great location that is close to many activities, restaurants, bars, shave ice, etc. The check-in process was easy and communicating with the property manager was also simple.
The unit could have been a little cleaner than we wished for. There were stains on the bedding, the counters weren’t wiped down well, and the bathroom fan was quite dirty.
However, the property manager was very quick to resolve these issues by bringing us a new set of sheets and offering to clean the unit. We appreciated the speed of which our issues were resolved.
We also would every once in awhile smell cigarette smoke coming from (what seemed like) the plumbing. The condo is a smoke free condo, so we were very concerned. We mentioned this to the property manager, but it continued every once in awhile. It’s very hard to pin down the cause so we don’t fault the property manager for this and simply avoided the smoke smelling areas in the unit (bathroom primarily) when this would occur.
Some of the other reviews mention a concern for safety with the park nearby. We did not have a concern for safety and passersby were respectful of quiet hours for the most part.
Overall, great location with a few hiccups that were resolved.

Loved how close it was that you could go out for dinner, drinks shopping and didn't need your car. Everything was with in walking distance.
I have owned a vacation rental on the east coast and rented it through VRBO and my rental company would not allow anything left behind. The thing I loved most about this one is it had so many extras that you normally wouldn't have in a unit. The extras such as sugar, olive oil, air freshner, sunscreen etc...It wasn't necessary to go out and buy them for a few days.
Only thing we realized a day late is you don't need to run the A/C, just open the windows and door. The a/c unit leaks on the rug so everything gets wet if you do run it.
We enjoyed out stay and the unit is updated unlike the looks of the building itself.

This is our second stay at Island Surf, but the first in this unit. The unit was well appointed, clean, and stocked with plenty bathroom towels, sheets, etc. It also had beach chairs, towels, coolers, a beach umbrella, and snorkel gear available to use. The kitchen had all the appliances necessary, coffee maker, toaster, and even a blender. The arrival and departure instructions were timely and detailed. The location of Island Surf is perfect. Its close to the beaches, restaurants and the new coffee shop/Blue Door Bread Co.(right behind the condo building). There was some pretty significant traffic noise with the roadway right in front of the building, but we knew that ahead of time. However, putting up with some noise was worth it for the perfect location. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone heading to Kihei

Very nice location in Kihei by the beach. Great to watch sunsets and Maui Dreams is right under the property if you're a diver and need to swap out tanks easily. The condo also has AC units in both the bedroom and the living room to keep the place cool. Excellent condo.

Excellent kitchen appointments and living room. Great view from the lanai, beautiful sunsets. Could use a sunscreen to ease the afternoon sun beating down like we had in another condo at Island Surf. The one weakness of condo is the loud AC in the bedroom. It had especially weird "rattling" sound while idling not actively cooling!
