We had to move our condo from Lahaina to Kiehi.
I searched for lots of condos. I know Kiehi so that side of the street and all facing the ocean is awesome! It’s under 50 units too. The view is truly amazing and so quiet. The beach in front is so beautiful as well. The condo can use a bit updating but all was clean and had everything we need. There was a broken umbrella and I emailed them and had it within hours!! Great communication. They don’t know these things sometimes if guests don’t say. It’s just a excellent location since 2 mikes down you have so many restaurants and bars.

The views from our balcony were great! The property was well maintained with beautiful landscaping and flowers. The beach was nice, however it was full of coral rocks that the surf had washed up so if u are a tender foot, beware. The water was calm every day up until around 10-11am then it got really windy and the water was very choppy so if u want to snorkel, u will have to do it in the morning. There were two grills in the pool area for ur use. The rooms have beach chairs and umbrellas for ur use. The rooms are a little dated and could use some remodeling but nothing major. The condo is a short drive to several public beaches that are a little nicer as well as restaurants and shopping in Kihei. It’s about 30-40 minutes from Lahaina where the wharf, more shopping, bars and restaurants are located. It is also where most of the tours and adventure trips leave from.

I will say that the views from this property cannot be beat! We woke up every day to the sound of the ocean waves and the beautiful sunshine. The unit was nicely decorated. I will say that this unit is in a VERY old building. The owners have done well with trying to make the unit feel updated through decode but there is a whole lot more that can be done within the until. Update air (worked fine but around the units yuck), bathroom and lighting. I will say that the view from this unit literally helps you to overlook the few improvements that could be made and the location was pretty close to lots of restaurants, stores etc.

This condo is absolutely perfect for a couple’s getaway to Maui! It has the best views of anywhere I’ve ever stayed. Direct access to walk the beach and conveniently located to lots of popular restaurants. I am so glad we chose to stay here- definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I just spent 2 weeks at Koa Lagoon #402. We loved the location in Kihea. The view from the deck was just as advertised - gorgeous. And it's a private deck. It was a comfortable condo and the VIP staff were helpful. A few things could have been better maintained -- the couch was worn (since replaced) and the screen door needed work -- but no major complaints. The unit had a well-stocked kitchen, bath tub, swimming pool, large screen TV, and a beach right outside. Kihea was a nice location from which to explore Maui. We loved our stay.

My wife and I stayed for 15 nights in April and the overall takeaway was positive but we would be remiss if we didn't specifically call out both positives and negatives of this unit.
It was dark when we arrived so we didn't have the benefit of the beautiful view from the lanai(patio); therefore, our first impressions were that the unit was a little dated more specifically the area rug, sofa and bathroom had all seen better days.
You can hear the street traffic in the bedroom, but the volume abated later in the evening but if you are light sleeper pack some ear plugs. On the positive side we found the bed comfortable.
The bathroom was in of need updating and more specifically the bathtub which was very slow to drain, we did not bring this to the attention of Property management.
We read earlier feedback about problems with sliding doors in the Living area. Our experience would suggest that this issue has not been addressed, to avoid further frustration the work around is to use the sliding door by the dining table.
As noted by many others the lanai and the view help to compensate for other short-comings. Also being walk the 4km (roundtrip) stretch of beach at low tide was a bonus as there are no sidewalks on the road in front of the building. The pool was great and we appreciated that there were beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler in the unit that we could use. The kitchen was well equipped.

Although the location and view from this unit could not be beat and the amenities included (beach supplies and kitchen supplies) were above and beyond, it seems as if general maintenance and cleaning had been ignored. The carpet was dirty and stained. The couch was so dirty that we needed to sit on the beach towels that were provided, not directly on the couch. Several buttons on the microwave did not work. Both air conditioners were dirty. The window in the dining room looked as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. Strings on curtains and blinds were broken and on the floor. Light bulbs were burned out in bedside lighting. Unfortunately, the general uncleanliness and disrepair of this unit would make it difficult to give it a favorable review.

We had a great time during our stay and this property was in the perfect location for us! Getting to see the whales from our balcony near daily was an added plus! Getting to see the amazing sunsets every night from the balcony was the icing on the cake - we will definitely be back, and would recommend this unit to other for their future stay in Maui!

My husband and I were so pleased with the condo. The location was perfect for absolutely gorgeous sunsets. We were so happy that we could see whales swimming, logging and playing in the surf. It was really magical! The owners of the other condos always greeted us with a smile and pleasant conversation. If you are looking for the perfect vacation spot in Maui, you have to stay at this condo at Koa Lagoon. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we were over-the-moon with Maui and the people there.

The view from the lanai can’t be beat. We saw whales everyday during our stay. The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a very comfortable bed and pillows. The unit entry door can be hard to open and close. There are a few items could be refreshed but all in all nothing that would prevent us from staying again.

This is probably the first rental where the photos understated the experience at the rental. This condo was in a great central location, had amazing sunset views in the evening, was clean and spacious, and provided a lot of beach equipment (chairs, coolers, boogie board, snorkel gear, towels, and umbrellas, at least). Would highly recommend.

This condo had everything we could want or need. The kitchen was adequately appointed with all dishes and pots and pans you could need. They even have a rice cooker. They also provided beach chairs, umbrella and a small cooler and even some snorkel gear. The lanai was the perfect spot for morning coffee and watching great sunsets almost every night

Really enjoyed our stay. Stayed for 12 days and didn't want to go back home. Unit was clean and comfortable and had no problems at all. Management company was extremely proactive with communication. We knew everything we needed to before we even arrived. Check out list was reasonable and easy to accomplish. Very comfortable unit for the time of year we visited and will definitely return.

Condo was perfect for the two of us. Views and balcony were amazing. Beach chairs, snorkeling gear, cooler all provided. You can walk right out back to the beach in front of the condo or you’re a short drive to some very nice beaches in wailea. 10/10 recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The condo is in a great location. Beautiful view from out private balcony overlooking the ocean. Very quiet and private. Located only a mile from shops and restaurants. I would come back here again. The price was cheaper than a hotel and you get so much more.

This was a fantastic place to call home for 10 days. It is close to great restaurants, beaches etc if you can get yourself to leave the fantastic lenai. Our stay was nice and quiet - we felt like we were the only ones there. Will stay here again.

POSITIVES:
--The view from the balcony is exceptional, and the balcony has ample room to move around. The provided patio furniture includes plenty of seating and tables.
-- After I complained there was no coffee in the condo, even for one days’ worth, the property manager got some coffee and delivered it to the condo.
NEGATIVES:
-- BEWARE! … The front door is a death trap. It took minimally three times with the code to get the door open. The only way to open it is to push your whole body against it. The door is very heavy and does not fit the door jam well. The wood of the jam is all splintered up and down. The weight of the door is extreme and it slams shut. If there are fingers in the way you will lose them. Be VERY CAREFUL if you have children traveling with you.
-- The website says coffee maker provided, as well as a few starter items. We did not know what type of coffee maker was in the condo so we did not purchase coffee in our initial grocery shopping; concluding that there would be a small amount of coffee available and we could purchase after that. There was no coffee in the condo…filters yes…but no coffee. I called the property management (see POSITIVES above)
-- This condo is fairly clean but the pictures on the website are very deceiving. It is much smaller than marketed, and not updated. Appliances are dated (but working). The shower/bathtub is old. The bottom of the tub has non slip circles leading you to believe it is safe. HOWEVER, it is so old that those non slip discs no longer work. The first time I stepped into the shower my foot slipped, which scared me to no end! We are elderly with health issues and the last thing we need is to fall in a bathtub. There were no non slip bath mats provided in any cupboards so I put a towel down in the bottom of the tub to make it safe, and that remained until we left.
-- One of the two patio screen doors was broken/bent and would not stay on the track. I informed the property manager on the call I made to him about the coffee. I did not hear back from him. My husband jury-rigged the screen door to stay in place and we only used the right side to go in and out during our stay.
-- Although it is not disclosed on the VRBO website this unit is apparently plagued with ants. The instruction book that greets you is very specific about the bug problem… instructing tenants NOT to leave any food out on the counters. It specifically says if your food is not factory seale

Our vacation was awesome. Had a few hiccups, but we didn't let it ruin our trip. It seems that VRBO and Airbnb charge these enormous amount of cleaning fees and you get subpar clean units, PLUS you have to do half the cleaning before you leave... we got there and had the renters before us dirty dishes still unwashed and sitting in the dishwasher which immediately made me skeptical of the rest of the cleaning, so I had to do my own cleaning. Second, we got some critters that appeared... typical in tropical places, but I'm from an area where we don't get roaches and don't want to go home with any tag-a-longs, so I called the host and they said someone would come out to one showed up, so we took care of that on our own. Other than that the view is awesome! The location is perfect! The grounds are beautiful! The pool is never crowded! Beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler and stuff for beach days are great!

Location was great! View was awesome! Check in procedures are wrong on the email. It told us to go to office which is not necessary since they don’t manage the condo. Definitely need a new mattress! My husband was not happy with the temperature of condo. Because of the large sliding door the living room stays hot. But overall we had a great experience!

The view was lovely, but the rental itself was a disappointment. Both AC units, fridge, dishwasher, and traffic from the road were loud; I had to stuff earplugs into my ears while sleeping (which eliminated the possibility of listening to the ocean while sleeping). The bedroom AC unit is next to the head of the bed and is extremely loud and blows on the person's head nearest it, as well as the blinds above it. The rental was not as clean as I hoped it would be: dirty lightswitch in the bathroom, bathroom was generally grubby (walls, shower, cabinet), the sheets and towels I used all had various amounts of stains or bleaching, there was scotch tape and first aid tape remnants on the bedroom blinds (probably placed by a patron bothered by the sunrise shining into the bedroom and movement of blinds from AC unit), various areas of the kitchen looked liked they were skimmed over in the cleaning process. There were other annoyances that included tiny ants, wonky blinds on the sliders, a bright light shining onto the balcony from the BBQ area, and the rental's entrance code being a permanent one (which we consider a safety issue; it should change with each patron). Aside from the view, we were pretty disappointed especially considering the cost; paying 3X our mortgage for a week in a grubby rental is not what we expected for our trip to Maui. It's one thing to pay a lot for a nice place, but to pay that much for mediocrity made for a letdown.

The condo is beautiful. It has every amenity that we needed. But the absolute best thing is the VIEW And that huge lanei.
The complex is small so there is not a lot of noise and bother from other people.
The pool was the perfect temperature and the water, Chrystal clear

The location perfect. It is close to shopping and restaurants, but if you want a more quiet vacation, just stay where you are and enjoy the complex.

Ocean was a bit stirred up on the beach in front of the condo but walking the beach was lovely. Every night we had a fantastic sunset which we enjoyed on the lanai!

Great location with central access to everything, super cool little complex, felt very uncrowded and easy to access unit. Parking is super easy and close. having the beach access is really nice. Note, the ocean is not really swimmable (too much debris in this part of Kihei) right in front of the unit but its a lovely walk down the beach, you can walk for an hour on the beach round trip and its very pleasant, and a quick drive to fun swimmable beaches. Check in was as easy as could be, the balcony is really nice and cannot beat the views. Recommendations for updates by owner start with a new mattress, this current mattress urgently needs an upgrade. Generally more supplies would be nice besides one trash bag and some salt and pepper :) its a small amount of money to stock up with some extra toilet paper and laundry detergent and olive oil and it saves a lot of time and money for us who just spent a lot on the condo. The property could use some beach games in the sand pit, boche, corn hole etc. The pool is nice, but small. A jacuzzi would be a game changer for this complex. Overall was the perfect spot for our family and incredibly cozy feeling. Monsoon Indian restaurant is in the complex next door which is a nice bonus.

The Koa Lagoon Beach Resorts is conveniently located in Kihei. There are gas stations, departmental stores, and restaurants nearby. The view from the deck is spectacular. The apartment had all amenities we needed. The Kitchen, washer, and dryer were particularly useful. The only thing we weren't sure about is whether the tap water is safe to drink or not. If yes, I would strongly recommend the owner to mention that on their webpage.

Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights. It’s nothing fancy but the location is great, super affordable and the view is breath taking!! Very clean and organized unit. Great communication with owner. Location is great for activities- exploring beaches, Makena, Haleakala, and a starting point for the trip to Hana. Plenty of stores, restaurants etc within walking distance.

We stayed at this location in Kihei for 2 nights. It was very pleasant. The view is terrific, exactly as pictured. Nice cool breeze. The unit is well furnished. Parking was super easy. It seems the air conditioner is somewhat under-powered and loud. There were too many children's toys in the lanai that feel cluttered. The washer and dryer worked perfectly.

This condo was perfect for us. We stayed here for my birthday/ anniversary trip, 4 nights 4 days. It was clean, open, bright. The balcony is amazing, can’t beat it, best sunset you’ll see on the island. We didn’t cook here (we are on vacation haha), but it had everything you would need. The owners of the property were easy to communicate with via email. Parking is free, they supplied us with tommy Bahama beach chairs , a cooler, floaters, everything you need for the beach. No complaints, great spot, would definitely stay again!

Condo was as appears in the pictures. Clean and comfortable with solid wifi. A quick walk to the beach was an awesome way to start each day. Driving to and from the condo was easy with quick access to main highways on the island. Trade winds kept the condo fairly ventilated but when the heat/humidity got a bit much the A/Cs kept the whole place comfortable.
I would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoy the place and view. It was nice to open the sliders, turn off the AC and let the wind from the ocean flow in. The sounds of the waves set a very enjoyable, relaxing time. Would do again!
