Great location. Property is a little run down that being said the view on this property is A plus. The beach is right out the door on floor 1 turn right or left and you're there. Beautiful sunsets, stargazing and many rainbows. The kitchen is well equipped. Food store and shopping close by. I know I will be staying here again. Neal was a pleasure to work with.

Neal's place is amazing in a great location, with an amazing view, and so close to all the things you want to do on the west side of Maui.
We've stayed here multiple times and it's always clean, has everything you need to cook meals at home, the AC works great, and is in a beautiful area that is peaceful and quiet. The breeze throughout the day is great too. It has huge windows that open up and not only gives you the best view of the ocean, but a great ocean breeze you almost don't need the AC.
It's walking distance to some great restaurants and bars, nice beach areas, and a food truck park.
Checking-in was easy. Neal provides you with detailed instructions on how to get the keys and check in. He is always available and responds quickly should you have any questions or concerns.
We will stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui.

Our stay was amazing. I booked this place to celebrate our 35th anniversary and it did not disappoint. The views are one of a kind. Having the windows open and listening to the ocean was amazing. Seeing the sunset each night from our room as simply the best. Everything about this place is top notch. Location and views are once in a lifetime and I can't recommend this location enough. Staying here will not disappoint and you will LOVE your stay just as we did.

The condo was great and the location was amazing! The view was gorgeous! Condo was well stocked but would have appreciated more than one towel and washcloth per person since the washer and dryer were outside down the hallway. We had a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Loved this place so much! The view is unbeatable, best sunsets ever, nice beach right next to the condo. Also several food trucks and the best coffee shop (Bad Ass Coffee) near by. We left and spent another 10 days in Kauai, but I honestly wish we would have just soent the whole time here! Really hooe we get to come back some day!

We enjoyed all the amenities Maui Kai offers. The view, the view, the view!!! The shower was very nice and the AC worked great. It would be perfect with window coverings and more comfortable seating to enjoy the wonderful view.

We were not disappointed!! The whales were so active and it was amazing to sit and watch them for hours on end.
The suite was clean and met our needs wonderfully. The kitchen was well supplied and having laundry in the building was very convenient. Checking in and out was simple. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Maui. Thank you Neal!

Cute little condo situated RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. You literally open the huge sliding windows and the ocean is immediately below you - it’s awesome. Lots of whales breaching in the distance this time of year and just down the street from the food-truck court. Great location!

Originally we had the next door condo reserved, but when we realized that more in our family were visiting Maui we were delighted to be able to book 407 as well! Both of these units sit off in their own alcove, which allowed us to move easily between rooms. This efficiency is very bright, which is only an issue if you don’t get up when the sun rises. The kitchen is well stocked, and Neal and Vicky keep the place spotless. We enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella, and couldn’t ask for better hosts. A hui hou!

Wow, I would never stay anywhere else in Maui! I don’t think you can beat getting to hear the sound of crashing waves all night, and then waking up in the morning to watch sea turtles and whales out the window while drinking our morning coffee. The location is perfect as well - within walking distance of anything you can possibly need. We were so sad to check out because of how much we loved staying here. We’ll be back, and have already recommended to all of our friends/family. Thanks Neal!

The unit was very clean and the bed comfy. Our only ding would be that the cushions on the chairs in the room were pretty uncomfortable and that’s not a deal breaker. Having the ocean practically in our lap was amazing. We had everything we needed. The pool area was nice too.

It’s almost impossible to have a bad week in Kaanapali!! The facilities were a bit dated but still a wonderful stay! I attempted to reach out to the owner with no success, provided numbers either were not working or ignored, but still a great time with a great view. We were treated to watching several sea turtles swimming by each morning from our room, impressive!

This property had everything you need without the frills. The view was amazing! The water pressure in the shower was also really good. Just don’t plan on being in the condo mid afternoon because the sun is pouring in without any shade. It gets very hot!

The view from the condo did not disappoint--it was beautiful. There is no balcony; but the sliding windows open to let the ocean breeze in (no screens). We slept with the windows open several nights. However, the windows were pretty dirty and should have been cleaned prior to our arrival. Also 5pm-7pm in the afternoon, you cannot even be in the room because of the position of the sun which reflects off the water directly into the room and makes it unbearably hot in the room. There should be some type of shade/curtain, etc that can be pulled out to block out the sun at this time if you should be in the room, relaxing at that time. All the amenities that were noted in the listing were available to us and helped us enjoy our stay! The fruit and goodie basket was also a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed it very much! The bed was very comfortable. We had a couple of issues, which the owner, Neal, took care of promptly. On our last day, we did see a sea turtle from our window!! If you are looking for ocean view and a good value, this condo is for you!

Honestly I thought about not leaving a good review so this place doesn't get totally booked up when I want to come back. ;) We LOVED this rental. We stayed towards the end of whale season but we saw them EVERY DAY! There was a pair of binoculars too which was super nice, but we saw the whales so often it became almost a chore to pick up the binos. Also saw a sea turtle right by the shore! The room is huge and well-stocked (full size fridge, full kitchen, glassware, everything). King size bed is a big deal, as well as an AC that will freeze you out if you want it to. Check-in was easy and so was parking, tons of conveniences nearby (food, shopping, etc). We didn't stay in the room much as we were out exploring, but the view was unbeatable while we were there. We really wished we had stayed here longer. Thank you Neal for the incredible stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Neal’s condo at Maui Kai! The views out the back were outstanding—whales a plenty and picturesque views of lanai and Molokai. You can walk out of the condo and you’re right on Kaanapali Beach. We walked down to the black rock twice and there is a beach walk path that makes walking easy if you don’t want to walk on the beach. The condo was simple, clean, with everything that was needed. My wife appreciated the extra paper towels, toilet paper, garbage sacks, etc.—things that you would think would be obvious but haven’t been included in other places we’ve stayed. And the water pressure was incredible!!!! Best I’ve ever had. Shower was great that way. Thank you Neal for making your condo available!

Neal's place exceeded our expectations! From the moment we stepped into the condo and opened the windows, we were on Maui time! It was amazing watching whales from bed, listening to the waves, and even seeing sea turtles swim by. We enjoyed the special touches throughout condo and the welcome basket was top notch. We have every intention of making a return visit! Thank you Neal for a trip of a lifetime! His personal touch with communication was the best. He seemed invested in our comfort and enjoyment. Second to none treatment. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had all the tools needed to cook, beach loaner items were perfect, plenty of towels and bathroom was clean. Pool and hot tub were great alternatives to chill out at night. Slept so well thanks to the sounds of the waves.

When you walk in the view will literally take your breath away. We went to bed every night to the sounds of waves and woke up every morning to humpback whales fluking and breaching. The unit has had very few updates, but everything is clean. If you’re looking for granite countertops and fancy appliances this is not the spot for you. If you plan on exploring Maui and like the idea of sleeping on the edge of the ocean, you’ll be happy you booked here.

My husband and I had a wonderful two week vacation in Maui. We arrived to our home away from home and were very pleased with the accomodations provided by Neil. We arrived to a spotless condo with all of the amenities to meet our basic needs. We typically prepared breakfast at the condo and some dinners as well. We had adequate supply of utensils which was nicely organized. And oh yes! the view was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed watching the magnificent sunsets in the evenings and star gazing at night with our home made cocktails. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi as well. It was typically quiet allowing for peace and tranquility which is not always something you get at the larger resorts. You can grill at the pool as well. We slept like little lambs as the hypnotic and rhythmic sound of the ocean lulled us into the best slumber ever! We also enjoyed swimming and snorkling in the beautiful beaches and having it there by the condo was an added bonus.. Neil was a fabulous hostess, and his customer service was exemplary. Had the most amazing time staying here. Everything was absolutely perfect. The view was PHENOMENAL. I cannot get over how amazing it was to fall asleep to the ocean waves and wake up to the beautiful view. You could see so many stars in the sky at night and I loved watching the sunset and sunrise during my stay. Everyone I know has asked about this property so they can stay here when they visit Maui. God I was not ready for what this place actually had in store. We had planned to explore the island after our arrival but got to the room and didn’t see a reason to leave. Beach access for miles both ways and not to mention right on the beach. The view was so incredible it brought me to tears on more than one occasion. We normally don’t spend too much time around the room but there was snorkeling available right where we were . I absolutely loved the experience this room provided

This was at the perfect location - walking distance to the best food places, right next to food trucks, and right next to the beach. It was quiet, clean, and exactly as pictured. Neal and his wife were both extremely friendly and accommodating. We saw dolphins jumping out of the water from our bedroom! Overall, I would definitely come back.

First off- Neal, the host of this property, is so nice and was always available if we had any questions or needed anything. We had plenty of room and the property came with everything we could ever need. It has a full kitchen with utensils, a blender, coffee maker, dishwasher, and a good size fridge for 2 people. The best part of the property is the view and the location. It is just a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Lahaina, and there are shops and restaurants just a short walk away as well. Every morning we got to wake up to endless views of other islands and the beautiful blue waters. We went other places, but there also appears to be good snorkeling right outside the condo. When we go to Maui again, we will be sure to reach out to Neal to book again!

Just like it is deceived. Beautiful views of the ocean from the bed, kitchen, anywhere! We saw green sea turtles swimming outside our window! The views are breathtaking! Great location, not far from Lahaina and everything to do in Maui! We loved this condo and will definitely stay here again! We are already starting to plan our next trip! Beach is 10 ft away but you have to go over a few rocks and your in the sand. A little rocky but a lot of the beaches are. There are close sandy beaches within 10 mins. So beautiful!
