As soon as you open the door to Island Sands #310, you are immediately struck by the breathtaking views. Looking out from the balcony, you can see the entire Kihei coastline stretching out before you, with Haleakala towering majestically in the background. The neighboring islands are visible on the horizon, and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific Ocean stretch out as far as the eye can see.

From December to mid-April, Humpback whales return to the warm, protected waters in front of the resort to give birth to their calves, right in plain sight of lucky guests. The balcony is perfect for preparing meals in the full kitchen and eating outdoors, so you'll never miss any of the action.

The bedroom is peaceful and relaxing, with cool tiled floors and a spacious king-sized bed. The living room features a comfortable sleeper sofa, allowing up to four guests to stay together. For your convenience, there is air conditioning in the living room, complimentary cable TV, high-speed internet, and free WIFI. The in-unit washer/dryer is also a must-have for any vacation rental.

The resort grounds are tranquil and well-maintained. Lounge around the beautiful pool area or fire up the BBQ station while enjoying the tropical breezes. There is also a picnic area with tables, ideal for enjoying a romantic dinner outdoors.

If you're looking for more adventure, a quick walk to the west of the resort will take you directly to the picturesque harbor, where you'll find a wide variety of shops and restaurants, as well as the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, which is fantastic for all ages. If you're looking for family fun, head to the miniature golf course and enjoy a round or two.

For those who crave solitude, take a stroll down Sugar Beach's 2.5-mile stretch, just a few steps to the east of the resort. It's ideal for beachcombing and unwinding. It continues all the way to North Kihei, which is where you can grab some refreshments for the return walk.

Island Sands' central location makes it a great starting point for exploring the island's most popular attractions, such as Haleakala National Park, Hana Highway, and the Road to Hana, where you can experience breathtaking views of waterfalls, beaches, and lush greenery. With only a 15 to 40-minute drive from the resort, you'll have access to some of Maui's best-kept secrets, world-class entertainment, and spectacular natural beauty.

We loved that we were in the middle of the island, easy to get anywhere! Also loved that we could see the whales from the balcony!

Great location on the bay with an awesome sandy beach within walking distance. If you want to experience more of the island, a car is a MUST. Beneficial to highlight things to do more around the condo. Having the washing machine was a wonderful asset. Thanks for a great stay!

The place is very nice and clean. It is in a great location and the owner is also very accommodating. Definitely recommend!

The location is this property's main appeal. The building itself is getting a little run down and could use new outside carpets and doors, especially the screen doors. The unit was spotlessly clean and had everything one could need to be self sufficient for the mon/th I was there. Also, there is a lot to be said for waking up to the sun rise and watching it go down from the lanai every day as well as waking and sleeping to the sound of the waves. And I loved the ensuite laundry. Having said that, the unit is a little bland. It could use a coat of paint and some .upgrading, especially the kitchen. There are holes in the lanai screen and the air conditionner could use a good cleaning outside as all the vents are full of dust. Also, the beach towels had holes and frayed hems and the beach chairs were so uncomfortable, I had to rent one. I called Maalaea Rentals for information on turning off the living room ceiling fan and I never heard back from them nor did they let me know how to clean the stove top, another question I had. Having said all that, I would recommend it to someone on a budget but would not stay in that unit again myself.

We stayed for a week long vacation in Ma'alaea and it did not disappoint! The condo was clean, centrally located with free parking and the bed was very comfortable. We were on the deck as much as possible enjoying the view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset and the many turtles swimming in the bay. A short walk down the road was a fairly quiet beach which we took advantage of multiple times. We highly recommend Karin's property and hope to return again for another stay.

The location was great with the balcony just 15’ from the ocean. But the room was very dated. Just keeping up with the bare minimum. There room was dark like a cave, bedding was.....

This is an amazing condo with ocean front view! Absolutely beautiful!! I enjoy watching the sea turtles swimming everyday. Close to everything!! The bed was big and comfortable. Only thing was the pull out bed needed to be replace. I'm definitely booking again! Thank you Karin!!!
