Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our host brought us extra towels and garbage bags when we needed some. We were a 2 min walk to Ali'i dr, where all thr shops and restaurants were and we could watch the sunset every night. Less than a block away was a farmers market that had fresh local fruits and veggies and other souvenirs that you would by on vacation. The pool was refreshing and i met some really nice people from other parts of the U.S at the hot tub. We had a great stay and it was just what we needed to relax and have fun on our trip.

There is no better view in this convenient ground floor condo! Location is near enough to airport . It's centrally located to go north /east or south/west to see all the island. We prefer to make meals and we had basically everything needed in the kitchen. The condo has been nicely decorated to a good standard. Clean. It was hot with heat/humidityindex of 95-95 so we were grateful for the A/C

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The property is located in walking distance to shops and eateries. We loved that the unit was recently renovated and clean! Parking might be a little challenging if you return late in the evening. We were fine taking an uber when needed. Mahalo!

Condo was newly renovated and was a comfortable stay. Location is great as you can walk to restaurants, etc. Overall it's a great place for a couple to stay in Kona.Reviews saying that parking is bad are semi-true as it's a first come, first serve place without enough spots for all tenants. Just prepare yourself if you come back later in the evening you'll most likely have to park on the side of the road. We did so a few times and had no issues.Only suggestions for the place would be to add a few hooks outside to hang dry things since you can't use the railings due to local rules for the complex. Could also provide more bath towels for stays longer than a day or two... we had 2 towels for 2 people over 4 days, but made it work.

Rental is located in a great location with many nearby walkable destinations for dining and shopping. Very close to the Kona Farmers Market, Waterfront Row Shopping Center, Kalaepa'akai Beach, and many other places along Ali'i Drive. We wnjoyed our stay and would recommend. Parking can be limited, but we had no trouble parking across the street when the complex parking lot was full. Rental was clean and furnished with everything we needed for our short stay.

This property is great, nestled right down in the center of mix of what’s going on Kona. Mere minutes walk from the waterfront, restaurants and entertainment. Couldn’t ask for more, and host was very helpful and responsive. If you’re looking for a great stay in Kona look no further. 10/10 would recommend.

This was a last minute trip for my 13 year old son and I. David, was very helpful with responding to my questions. The place was clean and appreciated the comfortable king size bed. The remodel of the kitchenette was nice and usable and opened up the space so you could easily move around the condo. The lanai was in the shade and surrounded by nice green floral landscaping. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub each day for our 5 day trip. Awesome location to walk to restaurants and coffee shops especially with having a teenager! Will definitely return and stay at David's place. Thanks David!

Been to area numerous times but always stayed in a resort. thought it might be nice to stay near all the restaurants along the beach. That part was great, walking along the beach and finding new eating experiences. Main negative was parking. Not nearly enough spots for each room to park. there is roadside parking but limited. We got there. in evening and had to park in a sketchy lot a block or so away.. Room was adequate for the two of us and comfortable.

Stayed for one week by myself. My unit was a studio, suitable for solo traveler or couple. Nice Lanai with table and chairs. Enjoyed my morning coffee there every morning. Roomy bathroom with stand up shower, no tub. Comfortable sofa, TV, all the beach stuff including towels, cooler, snorkeling equipment. Nice pool with hot tub. Kitchen has full fridge, sink, coffee maker, microwave, utensils, glassware and dishes. No stove or oven. Bed was very comfortable. The location could not be better. Out the front door and 1 minute walk to Alii drive in the heart of all of the action in Kona. 5 minute drive to Safeway. Definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed the pool, swam in it both one evening and one morning. We accessed the beach at the Marriott, which is a 14-minute walk. There was a big King-sized bed and the host included a couple of beach towels, which were appreciated. And there was working A/C, which was so nice for the warm weather.
Unfortunately, the hot tub was not operating this stay, maybe next time.
We would definitely recommend and return.

This property is ideally situated by the seaside, various shops and restaurants. It also is a beautiful tropical oasis, surrounded by various flowering plants and fruit trees. Our unit was nice and so clean. The host thought of everything to make our stay there very comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely come back when I visit Kona again. It’s absolutely wonderful property and place to stay, worthy of praise.

The unit is clean, well maintained and nicely furnished. The key for our stay was the location. It is centrally located off Alii DR and this puts you in walking range of many activities and attractions. The ability to park our car in a safe location and walk to our destinations was exactly what we were looking for. We live on the island and will certainly be looking to use this unit again next time we want to get away for the weekend.

Friendly property manager and staff were accommodating to our early check in. The studio was pretty, clean, and the property was gorgeous with luxurious tropical garden next to the pool. It’s a short walk from the ocean front. Location is conveniently located from eateries. Highly recommend anyone visiting or locals to stay here.

Super pleased with the unit that we booked very last minute. Right in the heart of all things Kona. Easy walk to restaurants and beaches. Property owner was very quick to respond with a little hiccup we had. The big gotcha with this unit is that if you don’t get back and parked before 4 PM you will likely be parking up right on the road and maybe hiking back a few blocks. This was very weird the first time but it is a common practice so just go with the flow.

I very much enjoyed my time at the location. I used it as a jump off for a drive on the Northern Loop of the Island. It was amazing. The bed was very comfortable, pool looked nice and the unit was updated, clean and comfortable.

Aside from a few minor gripes--lack of parking availability, sketchy internet connection, a coven of loud hot tub dwellers monopolizing the jacuzzi every evening thereby making it impossible to keep the patio doors open to enjoy the nighttime breeze--this is a great Kona coast option for singles and couples.

We stayed in another unit at the Kona Islander Inn on our last trip to the Big Island and were happy to return this time around as well - great location with plenty of restaurants and shopping easily accessible by foot, including early breakfast options for before day trips. And King-size beds seem to be hard to come by in vacation rentals - it was nice to be able to spread out here like at home!

PLEASE read this if you're looking to stay here after May 2023.
I booked this place for my fiancé and me to attend a wedding for 7 days. Check-in was easy, but when we got to the room, we pulled back the sheets and there was a large COCKROACH on the BED. It skittered down the headboard and out of sight.
We immediately left and called VRBO. They contacted the host, David, who declined to issue a refund. VRBO then said they also can't issue a refund unless I can send a picture of the cockroach. I spent 30 minutes tearing apart the room with no luck. I took a picture of the feces the cockroach left on the bed, but VRBO said it was not good enough.
I called David myself and asked why he declined my refund. He basically called me a liar, and that this has never happened before. He offered to change the bed sheets, but would not refund my $1300. Luckily, we were able to book last minute accommodations just up the road, so we left that same day.
So if you are looking to stay here, just know that the cockroach is STILL IN THE ROOM. Since David didn't believe me, he probably hasn't done anything to get rid of it. If you are unfortunate enough to see it, but not get a picture of it, David will happily decline your refund and ruin your vacation. It's not worth the stress and anger I went through, and I highly recommend just booking someplace else. I'm still working with my credit card company to try and get my money back. Thanks for nothing, David.

The newly-remodeled condo was clean and everything worked as advertised. We loved the location, which is just a stone's throw from the waterfront, restaurants, and shopping. At the same time, it was quiet and we observed that the other residents of the condo complex adhered well to the rules. If you're looking for a place that's close to the action in Kona, this is a good place for you!

Location was perfect and the community was well maintained and quaint. A couple of negatives: we did not have hot or even warm water for 2 of our 3 day stay. We were left enough ground coffee to make just 2 cups. There is a couch in the studio unit, but the TV is placed in front of the bed, which required us to sit on the bed to watch TV.

Great location and a super comfortable bed! This condo is right in the middle of Kailua-Kona which made for easy strolls in the lovely town. We were active on this vacation and it was wonderful to have a big comfy bed to drop into at night! Having a pool and hot tub available was also a luxury. The kitchen amenities were perfect for us. It was so perfect for us. Not to big and very clean. We walked to all eating and drinking locations. Had parking for our car for beach jaunts. We had a great stay and were surprised at how close the condo was in walking distance to everything in the quaint village and water. Lots of seaside restaurants, shops, art galleries, and bars. There is also a grocery store and Walmart nearby for essentials. The room was clean and modern. Finding parking if you come in late at night can be a problem which you are informed of at check-in. Otherwise, parking is not a problem. Communication was great with the owner David and I would stay here again and highly recommend this stay to others.

It was a great little condo and everything had its place. I would definitely return and rent here again. Only concern was not enough parking on site. If you weren’t parked at 5PM, it was a public lot about 1/4 mile away.

This property was everything that it was described to be and the reviews were mostly accurate. Property manager David was so friendly and quick to respond and even gave ideas of things to do in town. His property had everything that you needed including boogie boards and ice chest and sunscreen if you needed it. It was clean and the location to town was great so you could walk to restaurants bars shopping and even some small beaches. I will definitely be back.
