The unit was comfortable and clean. No really sharp knives and only pans had Teflon coating which we won't cook with. We bought two good pans and left them for future guests. Location is great and away from the busyness of some resort sections of Maui. The beach down the roach was great for walks.Very good experience.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was with the condo at Island Sands. After booking I was contacted by My Perfect Stays offering concierge services to help plan our visit. Once we arrived there was a welcome note, gift and Hawaiian music playing. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. I appreciated the host providing beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and a cooler. Great when going to the beach or the road trips around the island. The lanai had an amazing view of Molokini Crater, Haleakalā as well as beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The best view was of all the sea turtles in the water right off the property. The whole family agreed this was the perfect place for us.

We had a wonderful stay here. The unit had fantastic views and a great layout for a family of four. It was the perfect central location for exploring the island. We made use of the beach chairs, towels, and boogey board which were all supplied. Loved the washer/dryer! It was well stocked. Would definitely stay again!!

Having stayed in this unit previously, we fully enjoyed our stay. Almost always a beautiful breeze through the unit. Kitchen is well stocked. Great location to explore any area of Maui. We had major issues with the cleanliness. Not only was there a cockroach infestation but the condo looked liked it had not been cleaned in a while. I called the management team and they didn't seem to take my concerns seriously. We avoided spending time at the condo.

Truly magical. The views from the lanai were spectacular and the most wonderful way to start every morning. The condo was clean, conveniently located, and well appointed. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beach is a short walk away. Would highly recommend the condo!!

This lovely little gem has the most amazing view, is quiet and well stocked with necessities! My only issue was lack of beach and a very small (backyard) pool off the parking lot. If you do not care about these things, you will love this place. We will be back and thank the owners for their special attention to detail. Can you please update the knives? They are so dull and worn out to be dangerous and one handle broke while cutting a carrot! Thank you!

Everything was good whale and turtle watching from the balcony of our Condo with a telescope that was provided by the owners wow, watching the sun come up every morning over the highest point in Maui, full kitchen with everything you need, lawn chairs and towels provided, washer dryer very convenient, island breeze flowing through the condo we never did use the AC, the sound of the waves rolling onto the beach, I would HIGHLY recommend the Island sands to anyone,

We had a great stay! The location was centrally located everything very close by. View was spectacular of the ocean! We were able to see Whales and turtles from our balcony! Place was spacious, clean and had everything we needed! Very happy with our stay would highly recommend and stay there again!

we really enjoyed our week at Island Sands. the view from the apartments is really beautiful and it's a great location, its easy to get to lots of different parts of Maui from here.
the apartment itself has everything you'd need including all kitchen supplies, spices and beach gear.

We expected a "Perfect Stay" based on reviews and descriptions of the property. In spite of recent renovations some areas need improvement and/or repair. The bathrooms were mediocre including loose toilet seals. The countertops are Formica and sinks are very plain. The kitchen sink faucet sprayed water all over when used. The old-style electric stove had burners that didn't fit the drip pans making them badly unlevel. The second bedroom has very dated and worn furniture. The air-conditioner flooded one side of the deck. For the price we expected something more.

This property is extremely clean, with hard floors throughout (great not to worry about what might lurk in those carpets), and more spacious than the typical condo. The views are great. Ma'alaea is a mixed location: it is perhaps the least pretty location in the West side of Maui, but it is very conveniently located: you can reach the North locations (Kaanapali, Lahaina) and the South ones (Wailea, Makena), so if you want to access both, and to the East side of the island, Ma'alaea is a great location. In addition, the harbor from which many tours leave is right next door. But don't expect fancy shops, manicured gardens, or golf fields.

We appreciated that it was crowded. Haycraft Beach was just down the street (not good for snorkeling, but awesome for just sitting and watching the waves and some swimming). Maui Ocean Center and Molokini take off close by.
The pool and grill area was clean, quiet, and relaxing. While there was not a “beach” right outside the grounds, we saw some sea turtles hanging out on the beach which was so cool!
Highly recommend!
Of note, bring a hat with a strap! It’s very windy!

This condo in the quiet town of Maalaea is amazing. Top floor, corner views…. Wow! Pictures do NOT do it justice. Condo is quiet except for the beautiful winds that blow through cooling the air around you; no need for A/C. Expect to wake early unless wearing eye shades as the sunrises are amazing. See sea turtles from the lanai every day…. Every day!!!! We saw 5-12 daily. Yes, the “beach” is tiny but you can still snorkel off it or just sit and enjoy the surf and turtles (should you see them from there… from the 6th floor, you will easily see their brown shells). ☺️ Condo is well stocked. We cooked each night, except one, and we had no issues. Loved the two separate sleeping areas. Loved the extended lanai. Book and enjoy this condo. Thank you!!!

The property was located in a quiet place. The ocean was quite visible from the balcony and we even saw turtles . It had all conveniences. Within a short distance there was a beach. A convenience store that also had good coffee and some breakfast. However, will have to go at least 20-30 min for any lunch or dinner. Good access to thru roads.
The company that manages the property was responsive to emails within the day.

Unlocked the door to this condo… you will walk down the hall and Maui will hit you!! The pictures will not do this condo justice… WOW!!! We got settled in and started to see whales come up and breath spray from their blow holes with our own eyes plus they have a telescope you can use to see these majastic animals. We did a snorkel experience in the near by harbor with a snorkel ship you can walk there.. and we got pictures up close with the Whales!!! There are restaurants very close by and the aquarium is within this shopping/restaurant area.. I would come back every time I come to Maui!!!!!!!!

Our stay at 612 Island Sands was just about perfection for me. The view from both the living room and our bedroom was spectacular-couldn’t have been any better. The condo was a bit above average-not luxurious but not mediocre. Well cared for and stocked. We appreciated the beach chairs, towels and cooler. It made our stay easier. We spent very little time in the condo and were in need of nothing. I would have no hesitation in booking another stay here. Thank you!-:

We absolutely loved the view from our 2 lanais. Just gorgeous and spent many hours out there.
We had plenty of room, loved all the windows on the ocean side. We wondered, though, why the bedroom with the twin beds did not have the same flooring as the rest of the unit. That carpeting is really dirty/stained in that bedroom and needs to be replaced. We did have an issue with the Wi-Fi network which had not been updated in the binder. We were promptly called the following morning and Zack was very helpful and gave us the correct info to log on. Also, the TV in the bedroom did not work. It wasn’t a big deal for us but for future clients it may be problematic.

We had a great stay. The condo was just as pictured. The corner unit was very clean, quiet, and private. The view was perfect!
We had a little trouble with unlocking the door but figured it out before we had to contact anyone for help. Same for the wifi (the welcome booklet wifi network name didn't match the actual network name, but we figured it out). The communication with My Perfect Stays was very good and I have no doubt they would have responded quickly if we had needed their assistance, but everything just worked so no need to contact them.
The condo was also conveniently located for everywhere we wanted to go (west side, airport, Haleakala). We would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful week in Maui with a great view, lovely apartment, and continuously cooling breeze. We didn’t use the a/c as we just allowed the breeze to blow through, and enjoyed falling asleep listening to the ocean and the wind. This apt is the top corner apt of the building and we didn’t hear or see any of the other apartments. Takeout poke from Tamura’s with a glass of wine on the balcony was a great way to finish a day on Maui! Apartment is central to everything on the island.

It wasn’t much to look at from the backside when we first pulled up, but the inside of the unit is clean, well furnished/decorated, and has amazing views…well worth it once you get inside! For the price and space to spread out it sure beats a hotel or resort. Plus having a (well stocked) kitchen is a huge plus. AC units kept it cool as well as plenty of fans.
It’s midway between Lahaina/Kaanapali and Kihei/Wailea making it easy to zip around the island looking for a variety of beaches, towns, and restaurants. It’s also short 15-minute drive form the airport, and not much further to Paia where you can start the Drive to Hana which we did some of.
Nearby, the nearby Coast Guard beach isn’t much. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t plan a whole day with the family around it. The condo pool is super small, but did the job and our kids loved it. The aquarium is walking distance as well which is is nice. There’s a circle K, a general store (coffee shop and sandwiches), a bbq place, a seafood place, and a few other things nearby. Except for a bite to eat after the aquarium at the seafood place we didn’t hang around the area much though.
4 beach chairs, 4 beach towels, and 2 coolers are provided, as well as a beach shelter we couldn’t figure out and was a bust. There’s a Boss Frog rental place nearby for everything else, might want to pick up an umbrella from there as well as any snorkel gear.
This area was super windy, the first 2 days was really bad and the walkway from the elevator to the unit is like a wind tunnel. Seems less windy in other parts of the island. Didn’t affect our stay really as we were mostly out and about, but an observation for sure.
Would definitely stay again if traveling with kids.

Fantastic place on Maui. Great location that is convenient to everything. However, the area isn’t that built up, so it’s also quiet. Unit itself is perfect with everything thing you need plus an amazing view. Would definitely stay again.
