We don’t ever leave negative reviews unless our stay was significantly impacted. We saw many reviews about this VRBO listing praising its cleanliness, however The initial appearance of cleanliness is deceptive. Our stay at this VRBO property revealed several issues that need attention. Unfortunately, we encountered a roach infestation, which interrupted our trip and comfort. To protect our belongings and food, we had to store them in plastic bags. The beach umbrella was non-functional due to damage, and the apartment displayed clear signs of wear and tear. Despite the property's positive ratings and the host's kindness and responsiveness, our stay was uncomfortable. We were seeking relaxation during our vacation, but regrettably, it was challenging to find in this accommodation.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo in late September/early October. Even though it is on the small side it was perfect for the two of us! It is well appointed with everything you need! Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Location was great and parking was easy. We appreciated the great communication from the owner and easy check in and out. Beautiful, peaceful view from the balcony! Would love to stay there again!

Location is great. View of the water is better than I expected from one of the further back buildings (Q) in property. Everything else is exactly like the posting, no surprises, bed mattress was good enough for us.

Stayed for about 2 weeks. Price was reasonable. Room had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Location is along the Kihei strip in Maui and is close to everything convenient and plenty of restaurants and shopping. Along with being a beautiful area in general .
Pros: clean, nice property, nice room, perfect for 2 people that are fine sharing a bed. Location had nice amenities, swimming pools, balcony with nice overlook.
Cons: This particular room didn’t have a full size kitchen just microwave and sink . We were fine with this as it was advertised that way. There was no way to laundry in unit. Had to use a laundromat.
Overall a good experience and would stay again.

This property was very small, but served us well. It was pretty noisy, but we were able to balance that with beautiful views, nice pools, great location, and decent accommodations. Parking was a regular challenge, but hey- you're in Maui so no complaints really :)

Very safe and clean. nice view from lanai. walls little thin can hear neighbor talking when quiet. But love location and nice touches like the chocolates! Bummer it was raining on my short stay didn’t get to the beach but love there were chair, towels etc to enjoy the beach right across the way.

The location was perfect, parking was easy and convenient, and even checking in at 11 pm we had zero issues. Watching sunrise and sunset from the balcony was just beautiful, there’s an amazing view. No noise from the Kihei road, and so walkable to tons of amazing spots (check out Kihei café). We stayed 10 days, and the beds were very comfy. I really appreciated how many towels they provided so we weren’t using the same ones through our entire stay. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need! Loved our time there, would stay again whenever we’re lucky enough to come back. Pro tip: make sure to visit during whale season!!!

We were not able to extend our trip another day at this location and stayed at a hotel. The hotel was so gross! We then arrived to our suite here and was totally blown away. It was so clean and neatly organized. Perfect for my partner and I! We loved the location as Kihei is our favorite place to stay. The building was well maintained and the guests around were thoughtful of their noise. The view from the porch made every stress memory, float away! It was a true vacation. Chocolates on the pillow and all! It was the special touches that mace it for me. Especially having a vacuum for our sandy feet! The amenities were so helpful, especially the full sized GOOD shampoo and conditioner. I hate the travel sized hotel stuff! Any communication with the property owner was quickly responded to and was very polite. I appreciate the opportunity to stay in such a awesome place. Such a wonderful location to enjoy the all of Maui. The unit was comfortable and the AC worked great. Gorgeous views over the trees/gardens with a sliver of ocean visible at the edge. We used the beach chairs and umbrella that was provided- brilliant idea of a backpack style beach chair with pockets!!! Boogie boards were also provided and so much fun. We had no issues at all carrying them to the beach from the unit. Walking distance to beaches, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping! All the possible rentals of snorkel, e-bike, scooters, UPS boards, etc were just a walk down the street. Even more cute shops and restaurants about a 5 minute car ride to the north. Quick 20 minute car ride to the airport, 45 minutes to Lahaina. We did it all! Easy and gorgeous views all around! The road to Hana starting point is also about 15 minutes away. It was just perfect!! Thank you a wonderful vacation! Mahalo!

I was traveling on my own and wanted a place that was clean and safe with decent property amenities. The studio unit I rented was perfect for me. The grounds of the Maui Banyan are beautifully maintained and it is centrally located on the South Maui coast within walking distance of the beach, shopping, dining and excursions. The room was nicely decorated with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable including mini fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and a few cleaning implements. I was also pleased to find beach chairs, umbrella, towels small cooler and boogie boards provided. The pool was lovely and there are gas grills available (grill utensils are provided as part of the well appointed kitchenette). This unit is ideal for a solo traveler or a cozy couple especially if you plan to spend most of your time outside. Blackout curtains, fan and AC created an ideal sleeping environment for me. All in all a wonderful place at a fair price. Mahalo!

My husband and I were looking for a way to economize on Maui without sacrificing cleanliness/comfort. This was just the place. It was nicely located, clean and the bed was comfortable. The A/C wasn’t as cool as I’d have liked but it wasn’t uncomfortable. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat if/when we return to Maui.

The location is excellent, near shopping, across from the beach, lots of good priced options for dining out. The condo was perfect for my daughter and I. It had all the amenities we needed and some nice touches. We arrived late and after regular hours, instructions were easy to gain access. Nice touches included: beach towels, pool towels, beach umbrella, small cooler, boogy boards, full ice bag in freezer, local treats and the shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. The condo was nice with all the basic amenities. It’s not fancy, it’s basic, it met our needs and expectations. Deck is a bit small but we made it work and we enjoyed the mountain view. Bed was comfortable and nice linen. Great central location, easy access.

Great location. Small room but nicely updated. First few days were great until someone checked in next door. They were extremely loud every morning from 5:00am on. Sounded like a busy restaurant next door with banging dishes. The toilet made a very loud noise after flushing and would squeal for 3-5 min. Other then that it was a clean and updated place. The “king” bed is actually 2 twins put together so at times I did feel the crack between us. Not a big deal but should be noted for picky sleepers. I didn’t find the bed to be very comfy but I don’t like a firm mattress. So most people would be fine. I’d recommend bringing a fire stick because there is nothing but local channels to watch.

This condo was located in a great location with beaches just steps away. The building amenities also had a great pool area with jacuzzi and grills. Chairs, towels, boards, and an umbrella was also provided which was perfect for taking to the beach. Parking process and locations were convenient.
The wall to the adjacent unit is not sound proof however and you can hear the neighbours if they are loud.

This property was exactly as pictured. Adorable space with almost all of the amenities you need on vacation. We knew there wasn’t a stove and didn’t plan on cooking in the room. Wechose not to rent a car this trip and had no issues walking to grocery stores and restaurants which were all conveniently nearby. The room was stocked with all the beach items we needed and it was helpful to not have to travel with chairs, towels, cooler, and umbrella. This unit is super close to one of the pools on the property. There is an air conditioning unit in the property but we found that the fan moved enough air for us to be comfortable so we did not use it. The lanai overlooks a gorgeous garden area with views of the ocean. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay in the same unit again on a future trip!

My fiancé and I stayed at this studio for a long weekend and it was perfect for two people. The kitchenette has everything you would need to store or heat up leftovers. It was also really nice to have beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and a cooler provided. This made packing for a long weekend easy. The beach is a short walk across the street. I would recommend this for couples on a short getaway.

Condo was nice and clean upon arrival and was perfect for the 2 of us. Property overall was very peaceful. The only issue we had was our neighbors as the walls are pretty thin and we could hear them most nights (nothing against the condo itself, they were just very loud). Otherwise a wonderful place to stay and would recommend!

Came for our 30yr anniversary, perfect location, across from beaches with gorgeous sunsets every night. Very clean, updated, NO bugs here! 2 pools- heated, jacuzzis ...after sunset of course! Didn't use the grills but there are plenty...and would next time - would love to come here again. Even parking garage was convenient. Beautiful grounds...very well kept! I just can't brag enough.

I booked this reservation for me and my sister and it was fabulous! Although we were out everyday we were there, it was nice to come “home” to Misty’s place. Great space for 1-2 people. Comfy bed. Great shower. AC unit worked wonderfully, fan also was super powerful. Close to everything in Kihei area. Across the street from the beach. Not bad drive times for other destinations on the island. 20 minutes from airport and target.

Everything about this condo inside and outside and surrounding areas was PERFECT. I am sooooo happy we stayed there. Do not hesitate to book it. The condo inside is just wonderful (the pictures show that). From my unit I was able to have a partial ocean view. We walked down to the beach across the street (literally across the street) every morning with coffee and every evening for sunset. We easily walked to "town" for eating and shopping. Near the condo (3-4 miles away) is Foodland and Safeway. Near the condo (3-4 miles away) we ate at and loved all the food at Coconuts/Maui Burgers/Tsunami Burger [food truck]/Da Nani Pirates [food truck]/Roasted Chiles. Starbucks and other coffee spots along with donuts spots are within walking distance of the condo. Do not hesitate to book this condo....you will have no regrets! Definitely staying here again and again.

Property was in a nice complex. Never did use the pool because we preferred the sea and beach, which were a five minute walk. We like the covered parking options, although it was on a first-come basis that was fine. The apartment seemed a bit different than in the picture but was close enough. Perhaps I just didn't notice the wall art but it seemed different than in the picture which is insignificant. AC is operated with a remote and was slow to kick in but eventually did the job. I'd stay here again. It was a pleasant stay. The only negative I'd say was about the water pressure--pretty low, and it took a little while for the water to warm up in the shower. Other than that, it was a nice place. Very comfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, well appointed, and in a great location! The boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler and towels came in handy. The lanai, though narrow, had a great garden view. You had a partial ocean view, gorgeous landscaping, lots of birds and the sound of a relaxing water feature. Kamaole II is right across the road. This central location in Kihei is very convenient. For a studio, the kitchen was very well equipped. All details or thought out including a cutting board and knife for fresh pineapple. The spacious tile shower with hand-held shower head made beach cleanups easy. We miss it already and would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was also amazing - within walking distance to a number of beaches.
The walls however were very thin. We could hear the neighbor stirring their coffee in the morning and could almost hear each word in their conversations. They could also do some updates on the beach chairs! They seemed to be falling apart further each day we used them!

We really enjoyed our stay at Maui Banyan Q407A. It was nice to stay in a room that was decorated tastefully and was well kept. Having the grills by the pool was a life saver. The owner was very responsive to our questions and never made us feel like we were bothering her. We would definitely stay here again especially considering how reasonable the price was.
