Loved the location of this condo. Right across from the beach and next to several places to eat. The condo was really nice and had so many beach accessories ready for us to use. The only downside was the AC unit only being in the living room and not the bedroom, which got quite hot. Wonderful stay overall :)

Just returned from one week stay - family of three. Great location, walkable to beach and local restaurants. Easy to communicate with on-site office. Very clean and well laid out - looks exactly like the pictures online. There is ONE item that renters should be aware of - the air conditioning situation. The master bedroom has none and relies simply on a ceiling fan. We tried every night to get cooler air from the living room into the bedroom with a tower fan but to no luck. Instead our six year old son ended up freezing in full air conditioning on the pullout every night while we were in the overheated bedroom. If long active days in the sun make you crave a cool nights sleep in air conditioning this is not the place. If you don’t mind sleeping with just a ceiling fan, the rental is great.

This is an excellent condo with just about everything you will need. We had a few small problems that Rosalind was able to solve quickly. I would advise to call her with any questions.
The coffee maker is the drip type; not K-cup. As other reviews have indicated, the bedroom can get a little warm. There is a large ceiling fan above the bed that we found to be adequate.
The building is in the back of the property and it is a five minute walk to the beach.
We had a perfect vacation and would stay in this condo again..

We have stayed a t this property before. Amazing experience. Beautifully decorated. Unit clean. Our last stay April of 2022. New owner. Unit is showing it's age. Current pictures do not reflect accurate decor .Didn't expect to the a blanket covering the sofa. Rugs were worn and would have been better if they were not there. Unit is quiet and kitchen well stocked. Easy walk to beach.Needs a good cleaning and freshen up

Kihei Akahi is perfect! We stayed for 10 days with my 16-year-old daughter (who slept on the sofa-bed because that's the "price" she pays for coming with us...haha.) She said sofa-bed was comfortable and she loved hearing the nighttime sounds with the sliding door open. Check-in was a breeze! Diane was VERY communicative and allowed us to check-in about an hour early since our flight changed. Yay! The condo was fully stocked beyond our expectations including a Brita filter pitcher. Towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, laundry detergent, cooking items like salt/pepper and cooking spray, shampoo/body wash...all the things. The location is perfect too. We walked everywhere including the beaches, Kama I, II, and III. Kalama Park was a bit far at night when we were tired so we drove but it's a 3-minute drive. The complex was quiet and very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Island hopped for my husband’s birthday and overall we were very happy with the condo. Super comfy bed. Great location to a beach and local restaurants. About 25 mins from airport.
Only complaint is we had to wait until AFTER 4 to get in our condo because the cleaning lady was still there and in our parking spot. Even after the cleaning lady being there past time we were expecting it to be cleaned thoroughly. We found a lot of hair in between the sheets and comforter… knobs and handles were sticky but luckily I always come prepared with Clorox wipes and Lysol!

I really enjoy Kihei Akahi! It's location, the grounds and pool areas are well maintained, and of course the view. It's also off the Kihei road far enough that you hear only the ocean at night. Reserved the same condo for next winter already...

We had a great stay! Having been to Maui several times, we enjoy the location of Kihei Akahi. This condo has a great view of the ocean. It was nice to look for whales when we were enjoying time in the lanai. The condo feels spacious, and has all the needed appliances. Foot traffic was quiet as this unit is away from the elevators. We would definitely stay again!

This place is located within walking distance to beaches. It is also walking distance to restaurants and shops. Beautiful plants and flowers throughout the property. I would recommend this place to stay when in Maui.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The location was perfect, the complex was quiet and we enjoyed the pool and the nearby beach. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cooking implements including salt & pepper. The wi fi was great & the bed was comfortable. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and boogie boards in the closet. They trimmed the trees while we were there making the ocean view about 40% better :)
If you arrive after 4:30, the office will be closed. Just park in your assigned spot and get your parking pass the next morning.
The bedroom does not have AC and it does get a little warm. There are several portable fans (in addition to the ceiling fan) to move the cold air from the front room into the bedroom, but your best bet will be to hope the trade winds are blowing and open up all the doors and windows for some flow-through.
We had trouble with the electronic keypad lock about 10 days into our stay. Wouldn't you know, that was the one time we'd left the room without our phones! We barely got a hold of the office staff before they closed up for the day. They were able to get ahold of the owner who brought us a key and lockbox to bypass the keypad. Lesson learned- always keep your phone/ID/car keys on you even if you're just going to the beach or pool. They are planning to replace the motherboard on the keypad so hopefully nobody else will have this issue.
I highly recommend 808 deli and Kinaole Grill Food Truck, both in walking distance. Mr Yee's fruit stand is about 4 miles up the road. Skip the Maui Sunday Night Market. For a day trip consider Maui Bees Tour. Hit the beaches first thing in the AM because the winds kick up like crazy in the afternoon.

We loved staying at Diane's condo! It is a 2 minute walk from the beach and also very central to the whole island! There was also everything you could need for the beach- a cooler, towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella. We loved staying here and can't wait to come back!

We loved the care the owners put into decorating, linens, and other amenities such as beach chairs. Superior quality throughout. It was maintained in the manner in which we live and therefore was extremely comfortable for the three weeks. Of course, the view is spectacular! Enjoying coffee on the lanai each morning.
We visit Maui every year and didn't hesitate to book Brian and Marilyn's unit for 2017 while we were there.

We spent two great weeks in Maui and Marilyn and Brian's unit. It was very well appointed and equipped. We loved the spices (Montreal Steak Spice/yes!) , coffee, tea and other supplies. The kitchen, bedroom, living room and patio had everything one would want on a special vacation. We ate on the patio with its comfy chairs and larger table. We enjoyed having the sun screen to pull down in the late afternoon. Nice touch! Tom and I love the location and hope to stay at their unit again, soon. We would recommend their unit to anyone interested in a great location and a lovely unit. Also, we appreciated Marilyn and Brian's notes and phone calls. We felt they really cared about the success of our vacation and wanted to help ensure we were comfortable in their unit.

This is my 3rd time staying at Kihei Akahi condos but the 1st at this unit. Brian was very courteous and accommodating. The condo was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had all the utensils and kitchenware, if you're a cook like me, this is a huge plus! Inside the bedroom, two beach chairs, two boogie boards, beach umbrella, cooler and safe were at our disposal. The king size bed was very comfortable. Although our departure flight was 11PM and the check out was 3PM, Brian allowed us to stay until 6PM. Thank you again Brian! You've made our trip memorable! We will definitely stay at this location again soon.

Great private off-street location with beautiful palm trees, shrubbery and native birds. The unit is very nice and comfortable for two. Thers are quite a few restraurants within walking distance and the beach is across the main street (Kihei Bl) from the condo complex.

Brian and Marilyn are excellent hosts as they have thought of everything a guest would like in setting up their lovely condo. The pictures accurately depict the clean and well-maintained condo which has a well-equipped kitchen and an extremely comfortable king sized bed. This is my third time staying at the Kihei Akahi complex, and this is my favorite condo by far.
Brian and Marilyn were very responsive and easy to deal with. The call from Brian during my stay was much appreciated.
My family keeps coming back to Kihei Akahi because of the central location and great beaches close by. I will definitely look to return to this condo on our next visit.

So much to say about this Kehei condo. And the first is, location, location, location. Centrally located right in the middle of Kamaole II Beach. A short walk to sun, surf, and sand. Did I mention location? Food and shopping right around the corner. After a full day in the Maui sun, the best part was coming back to this exceptionally well appointed condo. No detail was spared. The kitchen is set to go with everything you need for a quick meal or entertaining. A comfortable living space with cable and high-speed internet. A lanai for morning coffee and great views of the Pacific. The condo is quiet, as is the complex, with two pools and outdoor grills. But the best part, was slipping into the comfy king size bed to recharge for another day in paradise. All in all, a modern and well kept unit, with lots of special touches that truly show pride of ownership. Easy to book and constant contact with Brian, reassured me, we made the right decision for our Maui escape. Without hesitation, I will be booking this condo for our next trip to Maui.

The condo at Kihei Akahi was terrific. The pictures shown on VRBO are exactly what was there! We arrived late at night, got in and felt comfortable right off the get go! The well stocked kitchen was the best so that cooking for yourself was made easy. A great complex and being able to be at the beach in 5 minutes....priceless! The phone call from Brian was an added bonus and really made you feel welcome.Thank you Brian and Marilyn and we are planning to be back soon.

Brian and Marilyn's Kihei condo is the ideal place to sit back and relax after seeing the sights.
We found the unit to be extremely comfortable and was lacking in nothing. It was clean and well maintained, the bed was comfy and the description as advertised was accurate. We loved the personal little touches and appreciated the phone call by Brian to check that everything was okay and that we had settled in.
The complex is in a great location with only a short walk down the drive to the beach. There are restaurants and bars close by and the bus stop is not far away. We were happy that we chose Kihei as the location for our Maui holiday - a great base to explore the rest of the island - and extremely pleased that we chose this condo. We think the best appointed self contained accommodation we have stayed in and certainly would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering a holiday in this beautiful part of the world.
