This property is a great and beautiful spot to stay in Maui if you want relaxation and quiet. Very pretty and ALL you need for a great stay. Great sunsets right here with beautifully manicured lawn. Gated with long beautiful lighted driveway. A common hottub and small pool area. Beach is not big but perfect if you dont want to go to area public beaches. In the commons area are chairs, umbrellas, floats, extra towels, extra stuff for kitchen use, books, games, DVDs, you name it. They provide you with just about everything in each room as well. There was a Keurig, a small cooler, towels for the beach, etc. Even a luggage weighing tool! A safe is in the closet as well. And then when you leave they don’t make you jump through hoops. It was, over all, perfect. Nothing fancy. Just great to have all you need. Two washers and dryers for all guests never was an issue. I washed several loads while there. Even a gas grill with kitchen tools. The ducks and a litter of baby ducks kept us entertained when walking to the car each day. It was the cutest. The managers/owners are on site so if you did need anything, you’re covered. I would stay here again. Kehei is a good location. Lots of beaches. Only 4 miles to Wailea which is so upscale and great and about 35 minutes to Lahaina (great little beach town vibe). Airport is 12 minutes away and going up into the “upcountry” for stuff is not far either. Hana is the only thing not close but it’s not close to anything. Mahalo!

Aloha Aku was everything and more. Great hospitality and communication from check in to check out. The amenities included made our stay more than anticipated. Walk out of your room straight onto the beach. Such a great place.

Our stay in the Bamboo suite was fantastic. We loved the direct access to the beautiful beach. It was great to use a body board and kayaks at our convenience. We got immediate help whenever we needed it. And Kehei gave us great access to anywhere we wanted to go on the island.

The Aloha AKU Inn is simply a wonderful place to stay. If you are looking for peace, quiet, solitude, great staff and a very comfortable place to exhale and get away from it all you have found it here. The staff are like family in the way that treat you, speak with you and generally interact with you. We felt at home and very much welcomed to our 10 day Ohana from the moment that we arrived. Therese, Jose, Wade, John, and (Later) Linda were all so very friendly and accommodating. the location is just off of South Kihei Road, but you would never know it. The beach is gorgeous and quiet with lots of sea turtles. Not a lot of small fish, or seals, so no sharks! LOL. The water is warm like a bath, and quite clear. The room was very comfortable, met all of our needs, and the Illi-Illi (Sp.?) pools with hot tub in the middle were so excellent.... another great benefit was the center common area where folks before us have left there excess amenities and supplies (Just like we did) so you may not need to go to the store for some basics! Check the cabinets and fridge first! In summary: The Aloha AKU is great place to go to so you can relax, rest, breath, and get some semblance of sanity back- but I will warn you; you may not want to leave any time soon. Thank you to all of the staff and Gary & Char for such a great 10 days. It was sorely needed. The Bartletts, Don, Kellie, Jessie, and Jamie

Beautiful grounds, great ocean views and feels very private for Kihei. Really appreciated access to full kitchen, laundry, beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. Swam with sea turtles right out front!

Hands down the best condos to rent in Maui in my opinion. Stones throw away from the ocean. Picture perfect sunsets from your patio. Walking distance to grocery stores and local restaurants. Short drive to the "tourists" area. Centrally located to all the typical destinations for exploring. Unit was very well equipped with all the essentials. Shared common area had alot to offer as well. Games, books, DVDs, water equipment. You name it, they have it. Laundry on site as well.

The reviews were all spot on. The grounds are spotless, the house and surrounding area are so quiet, and the beach location is unbeatable. The porch lounge chairs were very relaxing after hours of snorkeling. Thanks to the owners for providing us some great local snacks on arrival and all the amenities. The only complaints were the hot tub takes over 40 min to heat, so we didn’t get to use it, the lack of basic toiletries like shampoo/conditioner, and we didn’t have cream for coffee. I would recommend this spot to anyone! We will be back.

With the beach out your sliders, everything you might need in your room or in the common area. Don’t go shopping until you see what’s available in the common area. Enjoyed excursions but delighted in property, especially the turtles on the beach. Thank you Linda for being so helpful.

We absolutely loved staying here. The building is just a stones throw away from the beach across a beautiful lawn. The owners provided every amenity you could need free of charge: paddleboards, kayaks, bikes, Beach chairs, towels, BBQ, laundry, kitchen supplies, all of those grocery staples you need when you're traveling but never want to buy, like oil and vinegar, butter mayonnaise, spices...you get the idea. The location was very convenient too - a short walk to supermarkets and restaurants. We certainly hope to come back one day soon, hopefully with other family members and renting multiple units.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
