We stayed in the two bedroom cottage next to the main house and it was great -- spacious and had all the things you could want. The location directly across from the beach was great and it was a very short drive to everything else.

Great hosts, super friendly and accommodating. Everything you could want at the property for the beach, so less to rent/buy. Lots of supplies in the house as well. Definitely coming back.

We have been to Maui 6 times, always staying at cottages instead of hotels and this was the best one yet. The house was far nicer than we anticipated, and seemed more like someone's home than a rental. Very nicely decorated and furnished and it lacked no amenities we could think of. Although you cannot see the ocean from the house, it is right across the road from the beach and you can see the ocean from the lounge chairs in the private lanai/courtyard. The owners greeted us and showed us everything including all the beach toys and accessories, and even how to open and scrape a coconut! The location is ideal - close to everything and across from very safe beach that is great for swimming, paddle boarding , snorkeling, walks or just reading a book. We will be back!

We stayed in this cottage for about 2 and a half weeks and had a very nice time. When we arrived there was a wonderful gift basket full (yes, full) of local goodies and treats.
Linda and Harry were wonderful hosts, they had a lot of information and communicated quickly with us (like when Mauna Loa erupted on the nearby big island.
There was some high winds during our stay, while at our friends it sounded like a scary movie. At the cottage we didn't even know the wind was blowing. :)
Oh yeah, I have to mention the treat basket again. It was great :)
We would love to come back. They have a couple different locations you can stay at on the large property. Just beautiful.

This little house is adorable and big enough for 4-5 people. The owners spent a little while chatting with us, telling us where to visit, eat and rules of the ocean (whales and turtles). Location is perfect for everywhere on the island, although Hana is a bit far.

Stayed with my wife and two boys (5 and 8). The two bedroom is in a small gated compound with a few other free standing cottages that are spaced far enough apart that we never heard the other folks. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need to hit the beaches and cook at home. The beach is right across the street, it's a smaller beach but great for when you don't feel like driving to one of the better known ones. Great shave ice is in walking distance and a small convenience store, but there's no sidewalk so the walk is a bit tough with squirmy small children. I generally found myself driving to beaches and activities, which worked since Kihei is central.
Linda and Harry provided a nice array of snacks and drinks on arrival and were responsive.

Love the cottage!!! So much better than any condo stay ever!! Quiet and homey, we could have stayed forever. We picked a fresh mango every morning, made a cup of coffee, and walked across the street to the beach for a walk. All the beach accessories were so convenient. Linda greeted us with homemade bread and a BIG basket of goodies. The kitchen is super well stocked! We grilled out a couple of nights on the porch. There is ac, but we loved opening the screen doors and windows to enjoy the breeze. If you are looking for a chill and relaxing stay, I highly recommend this cottage. We will return!!!

Good location just down the road from stores and restaurants. Beach across the street very nice. I like the chickens running around in the morning they are entertaining. The hosts provide almost everything. Great place very nice and clean.

We 1st stayed at this property in Sept 07'. See previous review! We always said we'd return, we liked it so much. It took over 14 years but so glad we did it. Harry & Linda are personable hosts from the welcome basket filled with fruit from yard & local treats to providing everything you need in the cottage to be like home.
Home for us is in New England and it certainly isn't across from a 5 miles beach or have palm trees and tropical flowers. It wasn't the 'exact' cottage that we had stayed in previously, since it was occupied. That cottage had been converted to a 2 bedroom and redone beautifully. There are multiple properties on the same lot and in front of our cottage is a larger 3 bedroom rental.
Our cottage was tucked in the back and had it's own patio with large table with cabana over it, a gas grill and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor shower right next to cottage and then the laundry room (aprroximately $1.00 a load) which we used both of. All you have to do is walk right around corner to access large front lawn for viewing nice sunsets and to walk across to beach.
The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen, including tupperware, foil and plastic wrap, I left behind napkins and a few spices. There are plenty of beach towels and tote bags to use too.
The beach is sandy and walkable and we swam every morning and sometimes again in the afternoon. There are rocks in some areas, so highly recommend water shoes. There's a Safeway and other smaller grocery stores, Farmer's market and other stores in Kiihei. The road in front of the property is a busy one but jjust be careful crossing. You can't hear the traffic from our cottage, really at all.
We would definitely like to come back to our favoirte Hawaii island, Maui sooner then another 14 years and would consider coming back to the cottage too.

We stayed here over Christmas and this cottage was perfect for my teenage kids and me. The cottage was roomier than I’d anticipated and we all had enough space of our own. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need. There were enough towels, beach mats and anything else we could need for all of our activities.
The yard was calm and quiet, despite being by the road. We were able to relax on the swing, sit on the lounge chairs or eat at the large shaded table. There were fruit trees in the yard and we were invited to pick fresh oranges right off of the trees and they were delicious!
The cottage is right across the street from a quiet beach, so we were able to pop across the street to watch the sunset. There’s a food truck (sometimes) and a convenient store right down the street. The cottage is far enough away from the busiest part of Kihei to not have the heavy traffic/huge crowds but only a 5-10 minute drive to a lot of stores and restaurants.
Due to the heavy rains the water wasn’t clear enough, but we were told that normally you can see whales from the beach during the winter.

We absolutely loved our time spent at the house. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Tons of beach gear and activities supplied. Hosts were a pleasure to deal with. We’ll be back again for sure.

We had a unique visit as we were there during a rain storm that resulted in several areas around us flooding. Our hosts had the cottage very well equipped with umbrellas, flashlights, and candles. These came in handy as we briefly lost power. However, the location was excellent, central to many destinations on Maui. The rental had everything we needed including a thoughtful welcome basket with local goodies. Many beautiful palm trees and flowering plants on the property. Really enjoyed our stay, despite the weather.

First off all the ratings of Lynda and Harry are spot on, talk about going over and above for their guests, we became OHANA! There is everything you need onsite for the beach, in the Cottage at back and to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the lawn! We are planning on returning as soon as we can to see them again. I was so comfortable in the cottage, slept so well, very quite. The Cottage is FULLY stocked! I brought my mom 70+ and she was beyond comfortable as well. Great little patio setting some beautiful touches with all the outside showers, gardens, lights ect. Just an incredible vacation that will be forever remember as one of the best.

This property is literally across the street from Sugar Beach and about 10 min walk from the best shaved ice on the island. What more could you ask for? Great hosts that were super responsive, shared the inside scoope of the island, brought toys for our littles, and keep the grounds and unit spotless. We loved our stay and will be back!

Everything was flawless, clean, and perfect. Can’t beat it, being right on the water, right in a perfect location. We stay here every time we come to Maui and it ever disappoints.
