Property was comfortable and well equipped with a great view of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. Biting bugs do come out at night so have bug spray.

As a group of 5 friends, we wanted to rent a house on the beach at the North Shore. We found this gem and it was perfect! Beautiful, quiet location, very clean with all the amenities we needed. The pictures depict the property very well. The sound of the waves as you sit on the lanai were so peaceful and the sunset views were amazing. Highly recommend this spot. We did a lot up in the North shore area, including a sunset cruise. We did have a rental car so we were able to do Pearl Harbor & Honolulu as well. The property managers were very responsive & customer service was great. I would definitely use them again next time we are in Hawaii. Highly recommend this property to anyone!

My husband and I were looking for a beach side stay for our wedding location and also a place for our family to also stay with us. Our first reactions when we walked in the door was just “wow”! The house is beautiful! It was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The backyard is also the perfect location for a small wedding (we did it during sunset) and the pictures turned out amazing! Our weekend honestly couldn’t have been any better!

We stayed for a week for a family vacation. Great location on North Shore by all the wonderful beaches. It was quite far from Honolulu. We filled all the beds, and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom situation was a bit crammed, no bathroom privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. Parking was good. Upstairs was hot and humid, we asked the management company for another AC unit and they installed it for us, which made it more comfortable. There were no shade blinds on the big windows downstairs which made is very hot at peak day and evening. The house was located right on the ocean with a small sandy beach, good sized yard for star gazing, and a nice patio for lounging. The garbage situation was not good; the containers were not labeled well, and the prior guest garbage filled all the bins already when we arrived. The management asked us to move trash that was wrongly in the yard bin to another trash bin, and there were maggots. It was disgusting and really was not our responsibility to deal with the poor trash situation. There were a lot of flies we had to combat constantly in the house and on the porch. There were some beach toys and swim gear on the side of the house which was nice to use. There was an outdoor shower that got good use. There was a dead lizard in the upstairs stuck in the wooden rafters which was creepy. The inside couch was actually outdoor patio furniture and that could be improved for comfort. Overall it was enjoyable and mostly comfortable, but also had some drawbacks.

We had the pleasure of staying for a full week in this house. It was perfect for our family of 8. The house is spacious and clean, everything we could need was provided and much more. The washer and dryer were awesome. The outdoor shower was amazing, it even had hot water! Great beach access, the beach is pretty rocky so not the greatest for swimming, but pretty awesome for snorkeling and watching for turtles. We had a small wedding ceremony down on the beach at sunset, and the setting was serene and intimate. Everything we could have hoped for. I will cherish the memories we made on this trip, and in this house, forever. We will definitely be back!

It has amazing views at sunset. The beach is not very user friendly as far as snorkeling but, there are tons right down the road. It has AC but doesn't really down the space so it was very warm during our stay.

We had the best time renting this house! We got married on the beach in the back yard and it was a dream come true. Waking up to the ocean view was amazing. I did not want to leave. The house was very spacious and had everything you needed except for food of course. It was a bit warm but at night time we would open up an the windows and the breeze would cool it down. There are window ACs in the bedrooms however the upstairs is open to the downstairs but the large fan made it comfortable to sleep at night. I would suggest one of the wall AC units in the living room to cool it better during the day. Overall our experience was the best. The washer had a mildew smell but that was expected being on a humid island. Foodland was 10 minutes away. Kind of pricey but convenient or you can drive to Walmart which is about 45 minutes away. We loved the north shore side because it felt like home. We will be renting this house again in the near future. We can't wait to return!

This is a great place with a perfect location. So close to everything on the North Shore and yet super private and quiet. It was like we had our own private beach. Rocks right in front of unit but very short walk either way to sand. Beautiful. Close by farmers markets for fresh fruit. Can't recommend enough. Would stay here again. All communication was great and so friendly. We loved it. So sad to leave

Our family stayed at this wonderful holiday home for 5 nights in July 2023. A beautiful spot with views across the Pacific, though the beach isn't most people's idea of a swimming beach. Close to great beaches though, eating establishments and all the north shore has to offer. Unfortunately the a/c hasn't really been done efficiently so expect a noisy and very hot night's sleep. Also the neighbouring properties are rentals, so we had nights lit up by hundreds of lights strung up in trees next door and other people's kids waking us running around on our deck.

This was the first big trip with just the adults, and the property was just a dream. There was plenty of room for 6 adults, spotlessly clean, and the view was unbelievably beautiful. Quiet and relaxing but close to great snorkeling and cute towns. I highly recommend it!

The 3 Bedroom, 2 bath plus loft beachfront house was perfect for my family of 8. The near-bye Farmers Market and fantastic sunset view from the back-porch made the idea of grilling at home perfect. Alternatively, we leveraged the nearbye food trucks (including Giovanni's) for our meals, bringing the food back to the house to eat and savor the view. The beach in front of the unit has some rocks, but just a short walk down revealed several wonderful swimming spots. We also, popped in the car and went to Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Pupukeia, and Waimeia Bay. Pupukeia (aka Sharks Cove) being one of the best snorkeling spots on the island (when conditions are right) was only 4.4 miles away.

I found this amazing house right on the beach and took my family to do a celebration of life for my wife who passed away from Cancer a year ago. Our stay was amazing, the house was exactly what it shows online, the pictures don't do it justice! We'd wake up and have coffee on the porch and listen to the waves. Access to the beach was great, house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed and was well stocked with towels and cooking stuff. Lots of local fruits and vegetables within a mile. No need to go into town!
I am ready to go back and stay AGAIN!
If you need rest and relaxation, this is where you want to stay! Get away from the hussle of downtown Honolulu and enjoy the beach! This was our first time renting a house and the property management team was very helpful and quick to respond to emails.
The only downfall on this place is it got a bit warm inside just from the sun but in the evenings it cooled down.
It was 8 adults that stayed and plenty of room for everyone, the outside shower was a great help with the sand.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AND STAY HERE!!!!!

4 adults and 2 children stayed here with lots of comfort and peace. Beautiful location as you can’t beat the beach. Home was perfect, cozy and contained essentials needed to make every day a little nicer. We BBQ every single night and just enjoyed ourselves out in the lanai. Very quiet neighborhood, and close to a cute market with fresh fruit and really ono shave ice made with real fruit. Overall, we didn’t want to leave. This place is 100% worth it. I would recommend to family and friends from all over.

We loved our time at this home! The view is unbelievable- we enjoyed amazing sunsets every evening, stargazing at night, and even saw whales from the back porch! And the access to the beach being just steps away- truly incredible!! You did have to walk a short walk to get to an area of the beach where you could play in the water, but not far and the walk is beautiful. The house is in such a great location on the North Shore - we loved exploring Haleiwa and also being so close to Turtle Bay for a luau and nice dinner! Highly recommend this amazing home.

Location was perfect, beach is easily accessible and great to walk on and explore. the house is not fancy, but as you spend almost all your time outside it worked perfectly for our 4 kids. deck and grass are wonderful, lots of whales to see from the house. Close to trails, Turtle Bay, Fruit stands and Ted's for baked goods. getting to town and the grocery store can take some time if traffic is backed up, but easy access to V-Land, Sunset and Pipe/Rocky Point for surfing/beach access.

The house was clean and a very beautiful place to stay. We have stayed at a few different places on the island and I would say this place is missing a few of the small things. It would be much nicer to have a decent couch and not just patio furniture. The tv is dated and won’t connect to wifi. They don’t supply any beach stuff besides towels other than what people have left behind. All the other places supplied beach chairs atleast. Overhaul the house was clean and location is breathtaking, air conditioning would great.

We had 6 people in our family: 53, 49, 47, 27, 25, and a 14yr old. We had space for everyone and we all loved the location. Walking just feet from the water and views were amazing. Property was spotless clean when we arrived. Views were spectacular, large sliding doors lined the north side where we were right on the beach. Oct temps were in high 70's. We had a hard time sleeping at night as the home only had one small air conditioning unit in each bedroom, and the upstairs bedroom was open to a large loft that was very warm. The air conditioning was not enough to cool the home and we all struggled sleeping at night. Even downstairs bedrooms with doors closed did not ever cool down much. Couch was not really comfortable for the 6 of us to sit around at night and visit. Deck was amazing. No lighting in the driveway, really dark after 8 pm, wish there was a motion sensor light on house where cars park. Hard to find your way to porch in complete darkness. Side light did not reach parking area. Light bulbs were broken out on driveway lighting/broken light?

We LOVED our time in this home! It had a great yard, lounging chairs, beach access and it felt safe. You can see your neighbors but it’s still fairly private! The only slight downfall was that it was *SO hot* in the house due to lack of air circulation and the skylights. The property manager was amazing and brought us extra fans to help circulate the air, and that did help a bit, but the house has a wooden roof so it’s massively insulated. If there was a way to cover the skylights to prevent the afternoon sun from beaming in, that would help a ton! Also, a big fan in the middle would solve a lot!
Other than that, the beds were comfortable and the house was super clean. We loved our stay!

The rental was a perfect place for our family of 7 getaway. The house is in a quieter area on the North Shore with a beautiful view. The beach is quiet, and although not a swimming beach there is swimming hole for the kiddos a few houses down. We stayed end of June and the house can get pretty warm in the late afternoon, early evening when the sun is setting and shining directly into the kitchen and living room, but once the sun goes down it tends to cool off pretty quickly. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and equipped with nice linens and towels. For an extended stay,I only wish it had a fan for the downstairs and a mop to help keep the floors clean. Definitely would stay here again!!

Staying here was the highlight of our trip. Waking up to the sounds and sights of the ocean was fantastic. The home was very comfortable for our family of 7. Every evening we gathered on the porch for dinner and the sunset. The A/C kept the bedrooms just right. The location was perfect and close enough to North Shore towns and beaches. This was a very relaxing stay for my family. We were very happy with the location, the neighbors were quiet and the view spectacular. The nice driveway gave a sense of seclusion.
The management was very responsive when one of the AC units stopped working they came to replace it quickly. With the afternoon sun the home gets a little warm with all of the great windows but it will cool off in the evening with the windows open or when you run the AC units. The beds were comfortable. My wife and I stayed downstairs in the smaller room and put the kids up top where there is a door and shutter windows that separates the two twin beds from the master suite upstairs.
We saved some money on a rental mini van by renting through the Turo App.
We went on many walks on the beach right from the back lawn. There is a sandy section closer to the house, near the water there are tide pools and some rocks you would need good water shoes or crocks to walk on. There are some nice sandy beaches not far from the back yard.
We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean. My kids have great memories of Hawaii from this stay. We went and experienced a great luau at the Polynesian cultural center, snorkeled at sharks cove and 3 tables, ate at many food trucks, got poke bowls of fresh ahi at the foodland, got pastries and breakfast at Teds bakery. All within 10 minute drive of this home. A little further away we got some of the best shaved ice in Hawaii in Haleiwa at Matsumotos shaved ice, about 20 min away. The Shopping in Haleiwa town was great for gift shops etc. It was a 45-50 minute drive to get back to Honolulu for the tours at Pearl Harbor but we made a day of it.
We loved our stay in this home. If you want a laid back location, not extremely high end but clean and comfortable accommodations this is a great choice. It was very well worth the stay for our family. We would definitely come again.

We LOVED this home! Have stayed at many VRBO locations here as well as other states. It was so smooth booking this home. The backyard was a dream come true (the pictures are great but don't do the view justice). We were centrally located to many North Shore must see's and do's! The home was nice and had most of everything we needed. (A pizza pan would be nice to add to the kitchen) The kitchen and appliances were nice and up to date, the TV was great (we only watched it once)Don't make the mistake of running around all over the island and not spending time at this home. There are some rocky areas and we didn't swim much here but this place is located near some great swimming areas. I think it would be easier to swim if it had not been winter (larger waves). With winter being said, we saw whales splashing almost every day off of our back porch! One of my bucket list items checked off with that! We would definitely consider staying here if we come back to Oahu again in the near future! Just book it, you won't be disappointed! PS: We loved the fact that this home had a nice security system! We felt extremely safe while sleeping or when we went on an excursion we knew our valuables would be protected!

We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and backyard with the ocean view and were even treated to a double rainbow one morning. This property was absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not fully show the beauty of the view. It's stunning. I have very high standards when it comes to properties and was pleasantly satisfied with this one.Pros: The view, enough room for my group, utensils and setup was great, communication with office was great, and easy checkin/checkout process. Cons: There were no cons, just a few things that we observed. First the screens had a little wear and tear so consider replacing them soon (to help with flies coming in). And on that note, flies were manageable just be sure you keep sliding doors closed and perhaps put a fly trap on the back deck for when you are lounging. However, we didn't have too many issues. The couch kept sliding on the tile floor so perhaps some 'non slip furniture pads' to secure the couch may be helpful. Lastly, for those who are used to air condition be advised that there is no central air. There are only units in each of the rooms which is helpful. The main part of the house is unaffected by those units. There are fans for the common area but they can sometimes blow the humid air that is circulating. I am one who gets hot very easily so this was an adjustment for me. However the mornings and evenings provided a cool breeze and I slept right under the unit in my room so I could feel that cold air. So just be prepared.Absolutely nothing could make me dislike this property. Even with the air situation, that view makes up for it 100 times over. Treat yourself and book this property. You won't regret it!

We have stayed on that end of the island several times. This time we had all of our girls come for our celebration.

The house is well stocked with supplies in a great location! We really enjoyed the small beach out front, and walking to Kawela bay. Close to Northshore and easy access. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us.

This property was located in a great spot. Between Kahulu (where some of the great food trucks are) and some of the great beaches and snorkeling sites like Sunset Beach and Shark's Cove. The grounds were beautiful and the proximity to Turtle Bay and the resort meant we could also have a nice dinner there and take part in some of the activities there too like the spa. There were a few inflatable mattresses in the upstairs closet which was nice since we had an extra 8-year old kid with us. The fly situation was a little out of control so we had to get some additional fly swatters and zappers. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Otherwise, absolutely everything about our stay was great! The house was clean, and comfortable. Great location on the North shore! Would definitely stay again. Perfect size for 4 teenagers and my husband and I. The house is in good condition and very clean. It had everything we needed during our stay. The beds and linens were comfy. And the restrooms are really nice compared to other places ive stayed in the past which was awesome! You can tell they keep up with maintenance on the property. The wash and dryer came in handy. The ocean view is so nice! Steps from the beach. Did a lot of walks up and down. Not necessarily the best place to get into the water though but that didnt make it any less fantastic! There are lots of boogie boards you can borrow which the kids loved. The outside shower- amazing! What i loved most about the place is that it is far enough from the north shore traffic but still really close to everything. And that its tucked away but easy to find and we felt completely safe the entire trip. I work in building management so my standards are much higher because I look at everything but i have to say, this exceeded my expectations and it was totally worth the money!

Great location. Loved the view from the home. The tide pools were fun for my toddler to play in. Not a great beach for swimming but close to great swimming beaches. The two rooms downstairs had great air conditioning. The open loft area rooms upstairs were harder to cool. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. The views from the rental were absolutely stunning. The private beach access and outdoor shower was a huge bonus! We spent every morning on the lanai drinking coffee and enjoying the view. The home was a bit aged which is to be expected being next to the ocean. We did see contractors at the neighboring units completing some repairs which indicated that the management company takes care of the units. There was plenty of space for our family and the bedroom configuration worked out perfectly. The grounds were well taken care of and we enjoyed watching the free roaming chickens which added to the island vibe.

We stayed at Kawela Kai Nani 493 for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. We spent most of the day outside on the large patio/deck. The weather was great, the beach rocky (but we're used to that), the house was huge (not too hot), the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen full of all cookware/utensils that you need. My family enjoyed our stay here at this vacation home.

The location was excellent. The place was not clean. Had to wash out tub before using it had dirty footprint in it. Management should do a walk through after cleaning crew has been there. Place needs a good cleaning. We left place cleaner then when we arrived. Windows in twin bedroom a true safety hazard.

The house was in a great location and right on the water. The property is a bit dated and wasn't the cleanest when we arrived. Only one bedroom has AC and the house gets very hot during the day and evening. I would not have been able to sleep comfortably in the areas without AC. The good thing is we spent almost all our time on the back porch. I would give this property 5 stars if it had AC. I would recommend this property.

Fantastic views and beautiful secluded beach. Loved the roosters and chickens in the yard. House was clean but a little warm with air conditioning in only one room. Outdoor furniture was worn out with some tears in the seats, but overall we loved our stay. Shark's Cove and Turtle Bay were fun snorkeling spots near by. Great property management team.

We really enjoyed the view of the ocean and tide pools on the beach. First day, we saw whales breaching and fluking out on the water. It feels like you have your own private beach. The home is dated in some ways but the layout was perfect for our needs. Really enjoyed the large patio. We had most of our meals outside. It rained a bunch and the mosquitoes were out at night.

This was the perfect house for our family. It was clean and just the right layout. We could take hikes to the banyan tree, Turtle bay and the Kawela Bay(SP?) It was right on the beach with sand and tide pools. Loved it.

We loved the North Shore and this house was just perfect for our family. Very comfortable house but our favorite was the view of the ocean from every window on the west side. The sunsets were beautiful! Once we discovered how good the outdoor shower was we all just showered outside with a view of the ocean! Great vacation house. Will stay here again if (hopefully when) we return to Oahu.

I've been to Oahu over a dozen times and have always stayed in Honolulu/Waikiki. This time we wanted to stay on the North Shore for the beautiful beaches, peace and gorgeous sunsets. And that's what we got! The property & location of the home was a more than we expected. If you are looking for an expensive 5 star hotel with amenities and pool then this is not for you. This is an old hawaiian home with some sightings of lizards,gecko's & bugs There was no a/c but in one bdrm. But the breeze comes in all day & night. There are fans. It was a 2-story ocean front home that sleeps 8 ppl, 2 baths, 2 showers, TV, outdoor showers, full kitchen, BBQ and the most beauitull view of the ocean you could imagine. The living room furniture was a little worn but everything else made up for it. And definitely, much more affordable than any hotel in waikiki. No $35 a day resort fee or $40 a day parking fee like the hotels. We loved the town of Haleiwa, Ted's bakery, Haleiwa Cafe, Cholo's, & local food market. We had fresh Ahi every day. The north shore beaches are gorgeous. Waimea, Sunset, Turtle Bay. I would definitely stay again at this home and the North Shore. The waves are calmer on the North Shore in the summer. The Fall & Winter the N.Shore can have huge waves. No problems checking in or out either.

This home was a great place to stay with family as we attended our son's wedding on the north shore. It was comfortable and waking up every morning to the sound of waves and having coffee on the lani was the perfer way to reduce the stress of wedding prep.

The beach House was secluded, private, quiet. Good fishing and swimming. And you have your very own entrance to the beach a plus. Also if you decide you just want to tan in front of the house they have lounge chairs and a table, very nice.

Our family had a wonderful week stay at Kawela Kai. The location is amazing, glorious sandy beaches nearby, fantastic snorkelling a short drive away at Pupukea and incredible sunsets almost every evening. The house was clean and comfortable. There are lots of geckos to keep the bugs away and keep us entertained. We had a few minor issues during our stay but the property management company assisted us promptly. I would recommend this rental for families who would like a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Just the get away my family needed. Beautiful house photos provided are accurate. Loved listening to the waves at night and nothing beats that ocean breeze. Main landers will find the kitchen and bathrooms a little outdated but the house and surroundings are breathtaking.
