I found this amazing house right on the beach and took my family to do a celebration of life for my wife who passed away from Cancer a year ago. Our stay was amazing, the house was exactly what it shows online, the pictures don't do it justice! We'd wake up and have coffee on the porch and listen to the waves. Access to the beach was great, house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed and was well stocked with towels and cooking stuff. Lots of local fruits and vegetables within a mile. No need to go into town!
I am ready to go back and stay AGAIN!
If you need rest and relaxation, this is where you want to stay! Get away from the hussle of downtown Honolulu and enjoy the beach! This was our first time renting a house and the property management team was very helpful and quick to respond to emails.
The only downfall on this place is it got a bit warm inside just from the sun but in the evenings it cooled down.
It was 8 adults that stayed and plenty of room for everyone, the outside shower was a great help with the sand.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AND STAY HERE!!!!!

4 adults and 2 children stayed here with lots of comfort and peace. Beautiful location as you can’t beat the beach. Home was perfect, cozy and contained essentials needed to make every day a little nicer. We BBQ every single night and just enjoyed ourselves out in the lanai. Very quiet neighborhood, and close to a cute market with fresh fruit and really ono shave ice made with real fruit. Overall, we didn’t want to leave. This place is 100% worth it. I would recommend to family and friends from all over.

We loved our time at this home! The view is unbelievable- we enjoyed amazing sunsets every evening, stargazing at night, and even saw whales from the back porch! And the access to the beach being just steps away- truly incredible!! You did have to walk a short walk to get to an area of the beach where you could play in the water, but not far and the walk is beautiful. The house is in such a great location on the North Shore - we loved exploring Haleiwa and also being so close to Turtle Bay for a luau and nice dinner! Highly recommend this amazing home.

Location was perfect, beach is easily accessible and great to walk on and explore. the house is not fancy, but as you spend almost all your time outside it worked perfectly for our 4 kids. deck and grass are wonderful, lots of whales to see from the house. Close to trails, Turtle Bay, Fruit stands and Ted's for baked goods. getting to town and the grocery store can take some time if traffic is backed up, but easy access to V-Land, Sunset and Pipe/Rocky Point for surfing/beach access.

Really enjoyed our stay at this location! The views were amazing and the ocean was just steps away. An ideal place if you don't want to deal with the crowds of more touristy areas. Grocery stores (and a ton of food trucks) were close (10 mins either way). Property was clean and everything operational, great communication by the host company.

The house was clean and a very beautiful place to stay. We have stayed at a few different places on the island and I would say this place is missing a few of the small things. It would be much nicer to have a decent couch and not just patio furniture. The tv is dated and won’t connect to wifi. They don’t supply any beach stuff besides towels other than what people have left behind. All the other places supplied beach chairs atleast. Overhaul the house was clean and location is breathtaking, air conditioning would great.

We had 6 people in our family: 53, 49, 47, 27, 25, and a 14yr old. We had space for everyone and we all loved the location. Walking just feet from the water and views were amazing. Will definitely stay again and recommend for those wanting to stay somewhere away from the hussle and bussle of Waikiki.

Property was spotless clean when we arrived. Views were spectacular, large sliding doors lined the north side where we were right on the beach. Oct temps were in high 70's. We had a hard time sleeping at night as the home only had one small air conditioning unit in each bedroom, and the upstairs bedroom was open to a large loft that was very warm. The air conditioning was not enough to cool the home and we all struggled sleeping at night. Even downstairs bedrooms with doors closed did not ever cool down much. Couch was not really comfortable for the 6 of us to sit around at night and visit. Deck was amazing. No lighting in the driveway, really dark after 8 pm, wish there was a motion sensor light on house where cars park. Hard to find your way to porch in complete darkness. Side light did not reach parking area. Light bulbs were broken out on driveway lighting/broken light?

We LOVED our time in this home! It had a great yard, lounging chairs, beach access and it felt safe. You can see your neighbors but it’s still fairly private! The only slight downfall was that it was *SO hot* in the house due to lack of air circulation and the skylights. The property manager was amazing and brought us extra fans to help circulate the air, and that did help a bit, but the house has a wooden roof so it’s massively insulated. If there was a way to cover the skylights to prevent the afternoon sun from beaming in, that would help a ton! Also, a big fan in the middle would solve a lot!
Other than that, the beds were comfortable and the house was super clean. We loved our stay!

The location was great, check in and out was easy! The only issue we had was the rooms upstairs were warm due to the openness and the air conditioner couldn’t cool it down well. Would also recommend a ceiling fan in the living room to help with circulation.

The rental was a perfect place for our family of 7 getaway. The house is in a quieter area on the North Shore with a beautiful view. The beach is quiet, and although not a swimming beach there is swimming hole for the kiddos a few houses down. We stayed end of June and the house can get pretty warm in the late afternoon, early evening when the sun is setting and shining directly into the kitchen and living room, but once the sun goes down it tends to cool off pretty quickly. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and equipped with nice linens and towels. For an extended stay,I only wish it had a fan for the downstairs and a mop to help keep the floors clean. Definitely would stay here again!!

Staying here was the highlight of our trip. Waking up to the sounds and sights of the ocean was fantastic. The home was very comfortable for our family of 7. Every evening we gathered on the porch for dinner and the sunset. The A/C kept the bedrooms just right. The location was perfect and close enough to North Shore towns and beaches. We would stay here again!!!

This was a very relaxing stay for my family. We were very happy with the location, the neighbors were quiet and the view spectacular. The nice driveway gave a sense of seclusion.
The management was very responsive when one of the AC units stopped working they came to replace it quickly. With the afternoon sun the home gets a little warm with all of the great windows but it will cool off in the evening with the windows open or when you run the AC units. The beds were comfortable. My wife and I stayed downstairs in the smaller room and put the kids up top where there is a door and shutter windows that separates the two twin beds from the master suite upstairs.
We saved some money on a rental mini van by renting through the Turo App.
We went on many walks on the beach right from the back lawn. There is a sandy section closer to the house, near the water there are tide pools and some rocks you would need good water shoes or crocks to walk on. There are some nice sandy beaches not far from the back yard.
We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean. My kids have great memories of Hawaii from this stay. We went and experienced a great luau at the Polynesian cultural center, snorkeled at sharks cove and 3 tables, ate at many food trucks, got poke bowls of fresh ahi at the foodland, got pastries and breakfast at Teds bakery. All within 10 minute drive of this home. A little further away we got some of the best shaved ice in Hawaii in Haleiwa at Matsumotos shaved ice, about 20 min away. The Shopping in Haleiwa town was great for gift shops etc. It was a 45-50 minute drive to get back to Honolulu for the tours at Pearl Harbor but we made a day of it.
We loved our stay in this home. If you want a laid back location, not extremely high end but clean and comfortable accommodations this is a great choice. It was very well worth the stay for our family. We would definitely come again.

We LOVED this home! Have stayed at many VRBO locations here as well as other states. It was so smooth booking this home. The backyard was a dream come true (the pictures are great but don't do the view justice). We were centrally located to many North Shore must see's and do's! The home was nice and had most of everything we needed. (A pizza pan would be nice to add to the kitchen) The kitchen and appliances were nice and up to date, the TV was great (we only watched it once)Don't make the mistake of running around all over the island and not spending time at this home. There are some rocky areas and we didn't swim much here but this place is located near some great swimming areas. I think it would be easier to swim if it had not been winter (larger waves). With winter being said, we saw whales splashing almost every day off of our back porch! One of my bucket list items checked off with that! We would definitely consider staying here if we come back to Oahu again in the near future! Just book it, you won't be disappointed! PS: We loved the fact that this home had a nice security system! We felt extremely safe while sleeping or when we went on an excursion we knew our valuables would be protected!

We enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Kawela Kai property. The property clean and ready upon arrival, we didn't have any issues during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and backyard with the ocean view and were even treated to a double rainbow one morning. This property was absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not fully show the beauty of the view. It's stunning. I have very high standards when it comes to properties and was pleasantly satisfied with this one.Pros: The view, enough room for my group, utensils and setup was great, communication with office was great, and easy checkin/checkout process. Cons: There were no cons, just a few things that we observed. First the screens had a little wear and tear so consider replacing them soon (to help with flies coming in). And on that note, flies were manageable just be sure you keep sliding doors closed and perhaps put a fly trap on the back deck for when you are lounging. However, we didn't have too many issues. The couch kept sliding on the tile floor so perhaps some 'non slip furniture pads' to secure the couch may be helpful. Lastly, for those who are used to air condition be advised that there is no central air. There are only units in each of the rooms which is helpful. The main part of the house is unaffected by those units. There are fans for the common area but they can sometimes blow the humid air that is circulating. I am one who gets hot very easily so this was an adjustment for me. However the mornings and evenings provided a cool breeze and I slept right under the unit in my room so I could feel that cold air. So just be prepared.Absolutely nothing could make me dislike this property. Even with the air situation, that view makes up for it 100 times over. Treat yourself and book this property. You won't regret it!

This property was located in a great spot. Between Kahulu (where some of the great food trucks are) and some of the great beaches and snorkeling sites like Sunset Beach and Shark's Cove. The grounds were beautiful and the proximity to Turtle Bay and the resort meant we could also have a nice dinner there and take part in some of the activities there too like the spa. There were a few inflatable mattresses in the upstairs closet which was nice since we had an extra 8-year old kid with us. The fly situation was a little out of control so we had to get some additional fly swatters and zappers. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Great location on the North shore! Would definitely stay again. Perfect size for 4 teenagers and my husband and I. The house is in good condition and very clean. It had everything we needed during our stay. The beds and linens were comfy. And the restrooms are really nice compared to other places ive stayed in the past which was awesome! You can tell they keep up with maintenance on the property. The wash and dryer came in handy. The ocean view is so nice! Steps from the beach. Did a lot of walks up and down. Not necessarily the best place to get into the water though but that didnt make it any less fantastic! There are lots of boogie boards you can borrow which the kids loved. The outside shower- amazing! What i loved most about the place is that it is far enough from the north shore traffic but still really close to everything. And that its tucked away but easy to find and we felt completely safe the entire trip. I work in building management so my standards are much higher because I look at everything but i have to say, this exceeded my expectations and it was totally worth the money!

Great location. Loved the view from the home. The tide pools were fun for my toddler to play in. Not a great beach for swimming but close to great swimming beaches. The two rooms downstairs had great air conditioning. The open loft area rooms upstairs were harder to cool. Would stay here again.
