This was our 2nd visit to this unit. The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it, again. The unit looked north and west for a great view of the beach below. AC in both bedrooms. The unit is a little dated, but that didn't bother us. Great place !

First time user of Vrbo and this property. Property was as expected via its online presence and more. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves each morning was the lullaby needed. Balcony with a Gorgeous beach front view for morning breakfast & picture perfect sunset experiences was our favorite part. Would highly recommend this property and revisit in the future.

Hale hui Kai is a small group of condos right on the beach. The condo itself was clean, and well stocked with a full quality kitchen, plush bath towels, beach towels and beach towels and umbrellas. There are TVs in every room, and a lovely close up view of the ocean. The condo itself is decorated in a lovely Hawaiian style . The pool was unheated but pleasant after a few minutes to adjust to a cooler water temperature. Overall, I'd recommend unit 313 due to its excellent location to the water, with swimming and snorkeling right outside the unit.
I would have given this unit a slightly higher rating except that it did not have air conditioning in the living room/kitchen area, (which most of these units dont have). the 2 bedrooms did have A/C however. We would definitely rent this lovely condo again.

Just two points of clarity that we missed up front:
There is no air conditioning in main living areas.
The living area and kitchen can get very warm - especially when cooking. Keeping the front door and patio doors open does cool the place off but how quickly will depend on the wind direction (which does change often.) This should NOT be a dealbreaker for anyone considering this place by any means, but guests should be aware.
Bedrooms have dedicated cooling units that were more than adequate for sleeping comfortably at any desired temperature.
Laundry machines are not inside the units but are instead in communal laundry rooms on each floor. There are plenty of machines and even an easy app that lets you know when your laundry is done and when other machines are available. We were worried when we arrived that this would be an issue, but it was super easy to use and nobody in our group complained.
Outside of these items, the rental was PERFECT for our stay and the rental company was incredibly responsive.
Quiet area, wonderful community feel in the building with other renters and owners, super clean building, steps from snorkeling, minutes from various adventures, and sitting on a pristine beach with sunset views from every room.
100% would recommend and return without hesitation.

This was the perfect place for me and my children to enjoy an amazing trip on Maui. Everything was very clean. With communication, but they got back to me so quickly and they were very transparent and honest and everything. I would definitely stay here again! And will be recommending this to others as well.

Hey! We loved our stay here at Hale Hui Kai! If you are looking for the perfect spot between Kihei and Wailea this is IT! The condo was a great short walk to the beach and has everything you need. Contact with the host was responsive and helpful.

This condo, to us is the PERFECT location if you want sunset views on the lanai, and easy/quick access to one of our (and many locals' ) favorite beaches: Keawakapu.
We love the proximity to the ocean, the wraparound balcony, and the front-seat view to any activity happening at the Kihei end of this beach.
Condo was a little sparsely stocked compared to others we've stayed in but we can't complain. We love the layout, appointments, and the art within the unit itself.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, and our favorite part was being able to take 2 flights of stairs down to snorkel every morning.
We will definitely be back, hopefully to this same unit or building in years to come!

Guest bathroom toilet bowl tank takes forever to fill, so you cannot expect to flush back to back. TV in smaller room is not hooked up to cable nor is it a smart tv to hook up to wifi. No AC in the living room so we had to leave the bedroom doors open to cool the entire space therefore we had to compromise privacy for cool air.
