The property is very expensive $450 per night and no half day stays.
There are no BBQs on site.
The views are great and the location right on Keawakapu is awesome. The building is designed to capture the view and the breeze.
The parking stalls are tiny.
The noise carries from unit to unit.
Our unit had no cold or cool water in the MB ensuite shower.
A/C units worked well.
Second bedroom had a missing blind on one window. No privacy. All windows had immovable baffles (shutters that were painted and stuck either open or closed)
The dishes were mix and match and some had cracks in them. The knifes were not sharp - not even close.
The cutlery was low standard. The teflon frying pans are worn. The kick on the cupboard beside the fridge kept falling off.
Loved the starter pack left by management.
I've been to Maui 16 times over the years staying in Kihei at various condos. This place was alright but not exactly great value.

great location. right on a nice beach. Saw fish and turtles when we snorkled off shore. lots of eating places in Kihei. The unit was not fancy. Kinda beachy and a bit " tired", so that was fine with us. Comfortable.

We had an amazing stay on Maui. If you are looking for the perfect central location directly on one of Maui’s best beaches, look no further. Our unit #208 was clean and comfortable. Our family of five had plenty of space. The views of the ocean are breathtaking, yet the unit’s location still feels private. The unit had beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler, which was so nice to enjoy. The communication was excellent and extremely responsive, even though we didn’t run into any issues during our stay. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning. Mahalo!

The guidelines for this review are bad because we have stayed multiple units in this location during our visit. This unit was unclean and had bad smells while the other units were immaculate. Great location beautiful view overall.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and had many perks that made our vacation very easy. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs and umbrellas. The beach access is perfection. Great spot for a low key getaway!

First, wifi was good because I did spend some time doing work while there.
Second, the place was clean and cool, which was nice in the heat. Two bedrooms, one with a dedicated bathroom/shower and a second full bath for the other bedroom. Open area kitchen and living room with seating for multiple people. The three of us had more than enough space.
Third, wonderful close access to the beach with a view of the beach from our deck. A well-maintained property with a pool and path to the beach w/ a sand wash-off station. Less than a mile from shopping and necessities; maybe two miles to groceries. Plenty of other nearby beaches and parks to explore. Great snorkeling on the local beach and up to small reefs less than a couple hundred feet away.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hale Hui Kai with the easy pool and beach access. Snorkeling and boogie boarding are both excellent depending on weather conditions. We saw many sea turtles both in the water and resting on a nearby beach inlet. The property has a wonderful outdoor lounging area by the pool overlooking the beach with sofa and chairs.

Excellent beach access, loved walking the beach down to the boardwalk at sunset. Very quite, just off the activity of Kihei but close enough to it to enjoy. Comfortable beds and the AC was very much appreciated!

We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the sound of the waves through the night. The air conditioning worked great and kept us cool. The kitchen is large and spacious and the living room comfortable. Great stay. Thank you for having us.

Having spent the last 12 years in rentals on Maui for New Year's family reunions, I can honestly say that this is one of the best rentals we've had. Location is perfect on Keawakapu beach (my local cousins favorite beach on the whole island).
Amenities were great, really appreciated all the beach gear. Comfy beds and plenty of room for 4 adults. Highly recommend

Was debating between this property and one in Wailea...so glad we chose this one! First of all, the vibe was way more relaxed and cozy than in Wailea... and the beach right outside, is the best!! One evening there were people playing ukuleles in the common outdoor area overlooking the beach. We sat and drank wine and watched children catching mini crabs and roasting smores on the beach right below. It was such a pleasant and nostalgic night. Everything was clean and as expected, and the location was fantastic. Next time I go to Maui, I will stay here!

We spent a week at the Hale Hui Kai. It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for! The condo is a prime location for boogie boarding, snorkeling, and playing in the sand. The kids enjoyed the pool while my husband and I enjoyed sitting in the condo communal area in the evenings. The condo building was overall very quiet and the other guests were incredibly friendly. Definitely read the warning about the water sensor! It WILL go off if it senses even a minor amount of moisture. If I were to make any recommendations, they are super minor. We had to rent boogie boards (but totally worth it) and the bathmat in the master bath got super smelly right away. I wish there had been a spare. Next time we visit Maui we will definitely try to stay here.

My wife and I, along with our three children, really enjoyed our stay at Hale Hui Kai! It really was the perfect location! Step out of the room, down the stairs, on you’re on the beach. It literally is that easy. The condo was super clean and ready when we arrived. We loved being able to see the beach from the Lanai. Enjoying a drink watching the sunset was definitely a highlight. It was also so close to the shops at Wailea, and the Wailea Resorts, so we were able to enjoy some outstanding dining. We would definitely stay at Hale Hui Kai again. Thank you for helping make this such a wonderful vacation!

This condo complex is right on Keawakapu Beach, one of the absolute best beaches on Maui, and there is a nice view from the unit’s lanai. My husband and I enjoyed walks along the beach in the morning and watching the amazing Maui sunsets from right on the beach in the evening. The condo is stocked with everything you could need, a real home away from home. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby. We had to reschedule our trip from July 2020 to July 2021 and Amalia was great to work with. Highly recommend this unit, a great value.

Our condo was perfect for a 5 person family. It had a great view of the ocean/beach. It was clean and all the appliances were in great working order. It was well furnished and even provided 4 beach chairs and an umbrella. We loved the design of the condo and all the landscaping. Plenty of places to relax outside your condo if you are inclined. It is on the south end of Kihei, close enough to get to shopping and restaurants but not right in the middle of all the tourist chaos. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful condo. Imagine waking up in the morning and taking a walk on the beach which is literally steps from your front door.
Enjoy basking in the sun and swimming in the warm waters.
Very well appointed with all necessary amenities throughout. Great layout. The living room has a nice couch with two recliners. Nice large flat screen TV with satellite programming.
The kitchen has Granite countertops, all plates, utensils, pots,pans, coffee-maker, microwave and everything you need to cook great meals during your stay.
The balcony has a great view of the ocean where you can sit out and listen to the sound of the waves over a cup of coffee in the morning and later over a glass of wine watching the sunset.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable. No TV, but you really won’t miss it. Bathrooms are nice and clean. The master shower is a nice large walk-in.
Would recommend stocking up at Costco after arriving at the airport. Costco is right by the airport. The airport is about a 30 minute drive from Hale Hui Kai depending on traffic. There is a Safeway about 8 minutes from the condo, but be aware it is super expensive. Seems like every time we went to Safeway we spent $100.
Overall a great stay. Would definitely stay in unit 208 again.

We had a great time at Amalia and Gary's condo. The location was wonderful, right on the beach with views of the ocean from our patio. The beach is one of the best we found on south Maui. The condo was wonderfully stocked, and Amalia was very prompt about sending instructions. The condo has AC, but we didn't end up using it, since we liked the fresh air and the ceiling fans were sufficient. Short drive into Kihei or Wailea for restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

The best thing about this property is its location on a great beach. Its a long and beautiful sandy beach with few rocks, that was clean and quiet and only a few steps from the condo.
The condo complex is showing its age but the condo we stayed in was recently remodeled and more modern. The absence of an in unit washer and dryer was a bit inconvenient but the shared units on the floor worked fine. The ocean view from the unit's balcony is partially obstructed but ok. The owner was helpful and responsive to questions in advance but does not live in Hawaii. The building was managed by Bello realty. The location in relation to other Maui destinations was good. There wasn't much to do or see in Kihei beyond the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Maui and would give this condo a 4 star rating.

The property is right on the beach, with incredible snorkeling steps away. The unit has been updated with lovely high end finishes. Our family had a wonderful stay! The owners provided informative emails prior to arrival, and were very responsive when a small issue came up with access to the condo. Highly recommend this unit for a delightful stay in Maui!
