I'm so glad that we found Gemma's place. The location in Kapa'a was perfect. It was close to the airport and centrally located for most of our activities. Gemma's place was perfect: clean, well-decorated, high-end appliances, etc. We really appreciated the spacious refrigerator and washer/dryer.

We had a great time at this rental. From the time I booked via Vebo and the promt reply from Host Gemma! The penthouse was exceptionally clean and easily accessible. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and feel at home. The bathrooms were great for our family of four which had a nice bathtub and a very comfortable stand up shower. The sofa bed fit both my teenagers easily to sleep and better than a prior hotel chain stay. Gemma was a great host and she replied to my concerns promptly. We would definitely stay here again and loved the experience. Last note, this place is near everything you need for shopping to Costco and food places! Thanks again Gemma for a wonderful visit.

This condo was everything that it advertised. A beautiful well stocked unit close to stores and right on a beach. The description did note that there was no beach view - but the beach was a ride down the elevator, down the hallway and a few steps through the grass. The facilities was beautiful with access to the pool and hot tubs. Although the pool was a little cool for the November days when it was cloudy. It was very relaxing to lounge in the pool side chairs. Same with the beach. Plenty of lounging chairs to sit and relax. I enjoyed that this area was about half-way between driving either north to the Hanalei area or south to the Poipu area. We also did the longer drive to the beautiful area of Waimea Canyon area. This was a great first trip to Kauai and wonderful way to celebrate our 55 anniversary. I would not hesitate to reserve this condo again.

This place was so perfect for our family! The pool and ocean feet away as well as grocery stores, shopping and food all around the resort. The soaker tub was delightful in the room and to our surprise we used the washer and dryer multiple times a day! We couldn’t be happier with this room, resort and host! We hope to be back.

We stayed for a week at Gemma's beautiful penthouse condo in Kapa'a for my birthday - absolutely perfect! The condo is immaculate...beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, location is PERFECT! Safeway is across the street ( so is Starbucks!) And we were centrally located to be able to do whatever we wanted in a reasonable drive time. Staff was great...spa was magnificent ( Hawaiian massage - highly recommend!) Pool was amazing....get up early and watch the sunrise! Stunning! Gemma is an amazing host. Very easy to communicate with and super responsive. Come to Kayai, rent this condo and go see all the magnificent sights....hike Sleeping Giant (360 degree views from the top!), snorkel Napali Coast, visit Waimea canyon ( hike the Canyon trail to the waterfalls! Wow!), Queen's Bath...worth the hike!, Limahuli Botanical Gardens...gorgeous!, Tunnels Beach and the coral reef...bring your snorkel stuff!, Smith's Family Luau! Wowowow! Hanalei Bay...just like the pictures! The Beach House restaurant....on the water, unbelievable food and service. The Oasis was great - champagne welcomed us to celebrate my birthday! Kayak Wailua river and hike to the falls....seriously this island is amazing. so gorgeous! And coming home to this penthouse condo each day was the icing on the cake! Aloha and Mahalo Gemma!!! We will be back!

My husband and I had a great stay at this condo! Everything you need in the kitchen, very comfy bed, great pools and hot tubs and right on the beach. We had a drink at the Oasis restaurant and it was lovely. Walking distance to Safeway for groceries was a plus. Only complaint was I had to take everything out of the only closet in order to hang our clothes up, but it wasn’t a problem. Would love to come back again!

The room is very clean and most important it was comfortable and made us feel relaxed. The pool was our favorite amenityhere and we spent most of our time laying out and swimming.

We're fortunate to come to Kauai often and we've stayed at many different resorts. This one was special because it was fairly close to family we come to visit but also centrally located to many tourist attractions. The resort itself is comfortable with great amenities- pool area, restaurant and bar and a small adjacent beach. Unit G403 is easily accessible and is a great home away from home.

If you want the best experience in a more authentic area then this property is perfect! The unit is recently remodeled and very luxurious for the price we paid. The pool, gym, beach and unit were all superb. Communication with Gemma was quick and easy and we enjoyed our stay here. Kapaa is the most fun part of the island with lots of shops, restaurants and events. The first saturday of the month is the night market and we went to live music every night at Lava Lava Beach Club. Would love to return here!

This was our first time to visit both Kauai and Hawaii, and we chose well. Very central location, and the condo was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this location, and a repeat booking would be our first choice for another trip to Kauai, which is the most beautiful place (even better than St John, Punta Cana, or Cancun). Location: Centrally located for exploring north or south on the island. Minutes away from shopping and charming Kapaa town. Also, minutes away from sandy swimming beaches.
Property and Grounds: Lovely well maintained property with a swimming pool complex. It’s not giant but plenty of room to splash around with the kids or find a quiet spot for sun and reading. The on property Oasis restaurant is very good and has unobstructed views of the ocean. There is a nice sandy beach but rocks/coral in the water so not for swimming.
Unit 403: Spacious and well appointed. There is a partial view of the pool, none of the ocean but spectacular panoramic view of the sleeping giant mountains. Big, full kitchen and two bathrooms will make this one bedroom with pull out couch perfect for a small/young family.
Summary: We had a very satisfying experience and are keeping the contact information for future stays.

Ocean is a little to rough to get into but very relaxing sitting and walking on the beach. The condo is located in a great starting point to go either direction on the island for your adventures. Everything about this property was perfect! We have a 4 year old who LOVED the pool - she went down the slides probably a million times, and I went down them too! We have an amazing view of the mountains right out of the living room window and the condo is super comfortable and beautiful. Lovely big king bed and a nice full sofa bed, lots of kitchenwares, linens etc. and a gorgeous big bathtub. There's a Safeway across the street, Oasis (restaurant on the property) is excellent, super cool tidepool beach .5 miles away, lots of good places within walking distance. An awesome biking/walking path runs right by the property - 2 miles north to a scenic lookout. 20 minutes from the airport, 30-40 minutes from Poipu, this place is awesome. Would definitely come back. On top of all that, Gemma was super kind, responsive, and helpful. 5 stars!

The condo has great amenities- beautiful pool, spa, gym, grills and very good restaurant. The property is on the beach, we did not swim in it seemed rough. The condo was well stocked for cooking in. Coffee, paper products and soap are provided. Safeway and other stores across street, many restaurants within 1 mile. Good base for exploring Kauai 20 minutes north of airport. The owner provided excellent recommendations. Our favorite activity was a sailboat cruise on the Na Pali Coast.

Very spacious condo for us (three adults and a child). The pool and slide was so much fun! Nice sand area for our three year old and he LOVED the slide too. Property is right on the beach so you get to enjoy both the pool and beach without even driving anywhere. Location was great - central to a lot of popular areas. Condo is nicely decorated and very well equipped with pots/ pans/ new appliances/ beach chairs, etc. Gemma was a pleasure to communicate with, always prompt and friendly; the "vacation guide" we received was the most detailed of any VRBO we've stayed at.

SO much traffic along this road - one night we were stuck for 45 min heading to a dinner reservation that was 15 min away - from @ 9 til 6 each day this road is very congested (construction in the area now)
The Kapaa area is in general very windy and overcast most days (at least every day we were there) - while Poipu was sunny- my fault for not researching this
The overall resort needs some touch up work. There was peeling paint on the facades of many buildings/ railings/ etc. - they are working on it though
The Kapaa area is kind of "old Hawaiian" - not very fixed up...
The pool code was kind of a pain, but I understand why they do this as I saw some young local teens escorted out who had snuck in the resort
The parking lot view (although it was as advertised)
pool is chilly - don't think it is heated (or at least very much)
beach is not swimmable due to rocks/ dropoff/ very big waves
Overall, a good value unit for a midisland stay. This resort is very popular with families.

We stayed for a week at Gemma’s condo. It’s in a very nice resort that we have stayed at 2 times in the past. The location is very good in Kaapa right across from Safeway and Waimea Shave Ice. (Which is fantastic. Be sure to get a scoop of ice cream in the bottom ☺️) Eat at Oasis restaurant in the front of the complex. Very good and reservations are a good ideas as they are at all Kauai restaurants right now.
The pool is just amazing with a lazy river, water falls, water slides and sandy area for littles.
The unit was very clean and the host tried to be helpful when we had trouble getting our Netflix account to work. Ah, technology. There is a Royku TV situation for use that worked fine.
Literally the only downside to this unit is that the only water view is a peekaboo view from off of the little outside deck. There are some pretty views of the mountains to the east from the bedroom. We weren’t there too much so it was great.
Really appreciated having a few basic spices and condiments there for use. Some condos don’t even have salt and pepper.

We stayed 11 nights and everything was perfect! After 4 days we figured the slider doors were non-see through so that brightened up the rooms! Great having all the little extras provided, laundry, dishwasher and shower soaps! Beautiful view of the mountains! Close to shopping and ice cream! Location great to get to almost anything in 20 minutes! Definitely recommended and host is very friendly and worked with us on the changes we had to make on our dates! Loved it!!

The most completely stocked condo we have EVER stayed in. Well appointed interior, grounds and pool well maintained. The owner Gemma was prompt to reply to any questions. We love this location because it is easy to get to all points of the island. It does not have an ocean view but looks back on the mountains. We are from Florida so we are used to sleeping with windows closed and ac on so it was super quiet at night. Really liked the area not too commercial. WE LOVED the condo and will definitely book again!

The Waipouli Resort is our go to place to stay Mid-island. We booked with short notice and most condos were not available for our dates. Fortunately Gemma’s unit was available and did not disappoint. The condo has all the necessities and probably the best pot and pans we have had available in condos we rented in the past. The condo was clean, available an hour early for checkin and the communications with Gemma was excellent…better than most we have experienced. Of course the resort and the Oasis restaurant are first class as usual. I highly recommend Gemma’s condo for future stays.

This condo allowed us to reach things easily - including "across the street access" to grocery, etc. - and was well maintained inside the unit (the resort owner could do a bit of maintenance on the actual buildings themselves, however, this did not have any impact on internal unit stay)

It's a very nice condo, feels like newly renovated. The kitchen is big and with high quality appliances. We like how much space we have and the best is it comes with 2 bathrooms. It's also step away from the ocean and the pool area is so nice for kids. We loved it and had a very good time there. The owner of this condo also gave us extra help of finding another owner onsite to store our food the day we check out. Everyone is so very kind at this condo resort and I can't thank them enough.

First of all I was so appreciative of the host for her communication and flexibility leasing up to the trip. The check-in process was so easy because she gave such detailed instructions. We have a 2 year old and the place worked out fantastic. It was do nice that a pack n play and children's eating utensils, cups, plates, etc were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and we were very impressed by the top of the line appliances. The bed was very comfortable! I would absolutely stay here again. The pool was AMAZING and especially the kiddy pool for those with young kids. The perfect location to watch sunrises on the beach every morning.

Enjoyed our short four night stay at this property it was fine for what we needed. We previously had stayed a week in Princeville and decided to extend our vacation an extra few days. The pool was very nice beach area was also very pretty although rocky for swimming. Great area for those choosing not to rent a car since many shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

The condo was amazing! The kids loved the pool that had 2 slides a family hot tub and 2 adult hot tubs. There was also a lazy river and a sand beach in the pool. Gamma was also very helpful and cheak in was a breeze. She gave very detailed directions to her place and even let us have a late check out. The condo was very clean and nice! The appliances were also very nice too! She has tons of stuff there to use during your stay. Shampoo and Conditioner, dish washer soap, laundry detergent and hand soap. She has beach chairs there for ypur use which was amazing to take to the beach! The beach in front of the condo was great for searching for seashells and watching the sunrise. Walking diatance to the Safeway right across the street front the condo and many other shops too! Great place and if we come back to Kauai we will definitely stay here again.

This is a fantastic unit and resort. The room is comfortable, updated, and includes everything you could want down to small details like Tupperware, laundry baskets, and washer/dryer. It also has a spectacular view of mountains. The resort location is great; close to the airport and equidistant from both the north and south sides of the island. It has a beautiful pool, provides bike rentals, and is directly on the beach where the sun rises. The owner is extremely accommodating, and provides a list of resources completely unprompted. My wife and I stayed through Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. We were able to cook our own holiday meal, went kayaking just 3 minutes down the road, and visited tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Gemma's place for 4 nights pre-Thanksgiving. The condo was perfect, very clean, and exactly as described (honestly nicer than I expected for the price). The communication from Gemma was very clear and check in/check out was a breeze. The condo was fully equipped with washer/dryer, everything one would need in a kitchen, and even shampoo/conditioner. Towels were plentiful. The one bathroom that was divisible into two bathrooms worked great for a family of 4. The only change I would note is that if the tub faucet had a handheld spray, that would be great. We just used the shower only.
The Waipouli Beach Resort itself was well kept, great pool, good location across from Safeway and restaurants.
I would rebook again. Thanks Gemma for a great stay.

So much within walking distance, Lydgate Park was perfect for picnics, the beach out front of the resort was great and the resort pool was so fun for the family. We really enjoyed our short stay at this condo at Waipouli beach resort. The condo is clean and spacious, the appliances are modern, the bed was soft and very comfortable, and the views are great from the fourth floor window and balcony. There were many dishes and various utensils available, and also basics like paper towels, salt and pepper, and olive oil, which was really helpful for making breakfast (instead of spending time at a restaurant). Doors in the unit are solid and heavy, good sound insulation, and we don't recall ever hearing anyone walking outside the unit. The pool area at the resort was really nice, with several jacuzzis, two water slides, a swimming channel, and even a sandy wading area and mini beach for little kids. The actual ocean beach is right outside the property - lots of sand on the shore, but a bit rocky under the water in places.
Location is excellent - several great restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive, and a grocery store and convenience store both across the street. Not far from the airport, and central enough to take a day trip to anywhere on the island.
The host was nice and quick to respond to questions, and provided a lot of helpful information ahead of our stay about nearby restaurants and places to visit.
We would be delighted to stay here again some time.

My husband and I LOVED this condo. It was perfect for our needs. It is centrally located and convenient for activities all over the island of Kauai. We loved sailing along the NaPali Coast, hiking the Kalalau Trail, renting bikes at the resort and pedaling along the coconut coast, hiking to the falls in Waimea Canyon, swimming at the condo beach resort and chilling at Poipu beach. Gemma was a wonderful host and responded quickly to any questions we had. We will jump on the chance to stay in this condo should we get the chance to visit Kauai again.

This bright and beachy-beautiful condo was a perfect place for our family! Loved that we had everything we needed and more - stocked spices, Keurig coffees, and plenty of cooking supplies. Loved the top floor view of the mountains, as well as the decor and colors inside. It was situated conveniently near the pool and parking, with the elevator just a few steps down the hall. It felt very private and was super quiet. The beds were comfortable (sofa sleeper for our daughter and King size bed for us parents) - plus I loved that there were two bathrooms - each with it's own access from each sleeping area so we didn't have to disturb each other. I had some questions for the host - and she responded right away - very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds were amazing - loved the pool with lazy river, multiple hot tubs and location was perfect - walking distance from groceries, restaurants and activities. We will definitely be going back!

This is a stunning resort property right on the beach in Kapa'a. And the cond unit we stayed in was pristine! Everything you see in the pictures is there... only better in person. From the granite countertops in the kitchen to the beautiful wood... everything is top quality. The doors are solid wood, and the condo is quiet! We didn't hear anyone walking outside our unit (and it helps that this unit is at the end of an already quiet hallway).
The views of the mountains and the pool were lovely. We could sit outside on the lanai and stare out at the pool while we drank our morning coffee... which is provided with a Keurig with all kinds of coffee choices! This was a great touch.
The appliances are new.
The linens and towels are all new.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to cook at home.
The furniture appears to be new and the queen sofa bed was actually very comfortable to sleep on.
The resort itself:
You will not find a nicer, more well-maintain property anywhere. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is gorgeous, with even a nice sand beach for the little ones. There is towel service all day, every day. The adult heated spa pool even has a sand bottom!
There is a concierge on site 7 days a week.
As for the location:
You can't beat it. It is literally smack dab in the middle of the island, which makes it easy to get anywhere on the island. It's a 10 minute drive to the airport, and there is a Safeway right across the street from the resort.

Hands down this was a 5 star resort experience and we'd definitely stay in this unit again!
