Our visit in Sep 2023. It is a memorable trip and this condo is a big part of why we love Maui so much.
Homey. Cozy. Convenient.
The decor is stylish and tasteful. Many little touches Katie put into the condo makes it stand out from other rentals. The art work, plants throughout the apartment and fresh flowers that welcome every guest are exceptional touches. You want to take care of them as if you are more than just a renter. Heavenly beds.
Everything in the condo is functional, beautifully placed. We enjoyed many family cooking time during our stay. All the appliances, kitchenware, 2 types of coffee machines (Keurig and Nespresso) are clean and in top functioning shape.
Beach supplies in the 5/F storage provide everything you need for a relaxing beach time.
Sitting in the swing in lanai with a book watching turtle with the background ocean waves makes you appreciate your time in this magical place.
Katie is an exceptional host. She is very responsive and answered everything from which websites do locals use for update news about road situation to switching out the refrigerator filter within 1 hour of me asking as the light comes on.
Maalaea is a hidden gem. Everything is 15-25 minutes. The Maui ocean center & Pacific Whale foundation are within walking distance. Great causes.
For those who wonder if traveling to Maui after the August 8 fire is ok. YES! We were welcomed by locals with open arms with many telling us thank you for visiting. Love to Maui!

Sea la Vie was exactly what we expected from the online description. It was ver my spacious and clean with many amenities. Truly felt like a vacation gets away and my husband and sons really enjoyed staying there. Listening to the relaxing beach water waves and seeing the sea turtles was a real treat for us all! This is definitely a place we would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing vacation in beautiful Maui.

The property is as described. It was exceptionally clean, had everything a family needs to spend a vacation in Maui. The furniture and appliances are tastefully selected making it a comfortable stay. From the moment we booked until the departure, Katie is the hostess with the mostest! She has the most amazing property and made this trip magical by literally laying everything out for us from recommendations on where to eat, shop, visit etc. Renting a car is necessary and easy. I wish I could write a novel about how glorious this unit was. The view on the porch alone will make you never ever want to leave. The unit is fully stocked with everything you can think of. If we ever come back to Maui, we WILL come right back here to Katie’s place. My family of 5 had more than enough room. Mahalo!

Beautiful place and very nice property owner. Helps with everything around like shopping and place suggestion. We spotted Sea whales(btw 6:30 am and 8:30am) and turtles from the house. We could also see Molokini Crater. Make sure to explore the vrbo, ours had beach chairs, binoculars, snorkel gears, sunscreens and beach toys for kids.

We are a family of five that vacation 2-3 x’s a year. We rarely do resorts as we like to explore the places we visit, so we have stayed in many rentals over the years. Sea La Vie may be the absolute BEST! The decor, the cleanliness, the functionality, the location… the Comfort! Katie’s place has it all. And the view is amazing! We saw large sea turtles feeding along the shore AND a humpback whale breach in the bay right from our balcony! Silk sheets, comfy beds, comfy patio furniture, espresso machine, Bluetooth speakers, extensive cooking supplies including spices, oils, and condiments - I could go on forever.
Don’t let Sea La Vie get away. This is how to vacation!

We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Maui! From the location to Katie's attention to detail and incredible service this place is top notch. We enjoyed watching whales and sea turtles from our balcony and enjoyed the beautiful views with our coffee in the morning. Katie is so helpful with reservations and information. We truly enjoyed our stay at Sea La Vie in March 2023. From day one - communication with Katie was excellent. She was amazingly responsive to questions both before and during our stay.
I'm a coffee person and Katie had both a kuerig and nespresso in the kitchen (since I brew coffee she brought over a new french press and grinder when I asked about a brewer within a few hours of my question).
The property has two bedrooms with private baths (the showers are great) - both are very modern and well kept. The balcony is stunning and has a great view of the bay and you can see whale exhales from the balcony if you're there during migration season (the condo is also convenient to a smaller harbor with a few companies that offer boat-based options (whale watching, snorkeling, boating). The condo is also at the mid-way point btwn Kihei (15 min drive) and Lahaina (20-30 min drive outside of rush hour).
We'd definitely stay at Sea La Vie the next time we visit Maui!

This property is amazing. It is in a great central location. The condo is extraordinarily well appointed, beautiful, and immaculate. For our first visit to Maui, Katie’s condo in Ma’alea was perfect. The suite is spacious, very well furnished and equipped and has a lanai looking directly out on the bay - fantastic views. The location is great as a home base for seeing the island, and the local beach (5 min walk) is perfect for walking and relaxing.

This place was beyond amazing!! Katie went above and beyond and was always wanting to make our stay better. From the first entrance and welcome gift, to the awesome pie for my birthday. Everything was so wonderful! This location is ideal for anything you want to do on Maui. And you get the ocean, whales and wonderful peace of the Hawaiian islands.

Room and amenities very accurate to online description. Everything was upgraded - appliances, lighting, automatic shades, AC, washer/dryer. Well stocked kitchen, fresh fruit, flowers, wine and chocolate were a great welcome. Kitchen well stocked with all spices, oils, cooking appliances and dishes. Short walk to marina/shops/food great. Located in middle of island, easy 12 minute drive to Kihea or easy drive north to Lahaina/ Paia. Hosts were very communicative/available - helping with suggestions and very welcoming and went out of their way to make our trip special. Very happy with our stay and would highly suggest to any couple looking for an upgraded room, experience. Or a small group as it is a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo.

Excellent unit with everything you will need. Comfortable furniture and comfy mattresses. We watched the sun rise every morning. Katie has added lots of little things that give it that little touch of home away from home. A beautiful view from the balcony. We watched whales breaching, turtles and a Hawaiian seal monk right from our balcony. The location was perfect for our family. With a nice grassy area and a pool with a gorgeous view.

The condo was beautiful, very clean and homey feeling. The view was breathtaking and the sound of the Ocean soothing. There is a hidden gem of a Beach down the street that was easy to walk to. This condo is perfect for families or a couple. We would highly recommend this condo if you’re looking for something quiet and away from the touristy places. There are plenty of towns within a short drive.

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Se La Vie for 8 nights. Katie did a fantastic job helping with pre trip advise, provided us with an excellent orientation, and was easily assessable and quick to respond for advice while we were on the island. Her unit is impeccable, being well furnished and clean. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the lanai, and closed each day with a nightcap there as well. We liked the bedding so much that we plan to get identical pillows, toppers, and sheets for our bed at home. The location was convenient as we traversed around the island, and it was ideal for that. 1 day in Hana, 1 day at Haleakala, 2 days in Wailea, and 1 day at Kapalua/Kaanapali. There is also a fantastic long unspoiled beach within 5 minute walk from the unit. Her storage room had all the chairs, ice chest and snorkeling gear to compliment our beach outings. Can’t wait to head back again…thanks Katie!

Property was just as it is listed and it was an amazing location with a nice calm beach down the road. After paying a lot to see turtles during our snorkeling trip we got to see many more of them right in front of the property. It was simply amazing. Just go down late morning and you will see a lot of them hanging out. To say a few words about Katie, she was the most amazing host. She made sure we felt welcomed with nice little treats and kept checking for anything we needed. She was always reachable for anything we needed. Would most certainly stay here if we do a trip in future.

This property is amazing! Our vacation was for 2 adult couples, and we had a wonderful time. One of the main reasons we picked this condo was for the fact that it had two king size beds. However, we also looked for convenience and this condo is only a 25ish minute drive to all the popular spots (airport, Lahaina, Paia, Kihei) which meant we were able to explore the entire island with efficiency. The cleanliness and amenities of this condo are great, and it was also well stocked with some staples of laundry pods, toiletries, ice, etc.

This is the nicest condo we have ever stayed in on Maui! The host (Katie) took great care of us and made sure every detail was perfect for our stay. The condo is beautiful, and so well equipped - from the open kitchen with everything you need (including a Nespresso machine!), to the very comfortable beds, high-end linens, to the smart features throughout (including automated window shades). The view from the lanai and the front bedroom is incredible and the condo is so close to the water that you can hear the waves and see nothing but the ocean. The lanai is a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee, take an afternoon nap, or have a glass of wine. We will definitely be booking Katie's beautiful condo for our next trip to Maui!

This property is probably one of my most favorite VRBOs I have ever stayed at. It is even more beautiful than the pictures and had everything our family of 4 (kids 13 and 9) needed including beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, cooler, etc...the house had all of the amenities you would need, soft towels, beach towels, coffee, etc...the beds were super soft, showers were wonderful....everything was perfect...the most amazing part was the view! Oh the view! Walking outside and watching the surfers during the day, sunrise/sunset, hearing the waves at night...so lovely! Katie has the beautiful porch swing, a sitting area, and lovely candles on the table to enjoy the outdoor view...it was literally breathtaking! Katie is also incredible! She answered all of my questions before the trip....gave us wonderful recommendations for outings and dinner...even made us a reservation at Mama's right after we booked our trip! She was there to greet us on our first day and was always available if we had questions during our stay. The house is also awesome because it is in the perfect central location...15 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from Lahaina, 15 minutes from Kihei, about 25 from Paia... I truly hope to come back and will for sure stay here! Thank you Katie...for making our first trip to Maui AMAZING!

This is a beautiful condo that has obviously been remodeled with love and attention to details. We enjoyed watching the turtles along the shoreline and the beautiful sunrises! The location is a short drive to Lahaina, the airport and some great distilleries. Would highly recommend!

Katie and Marc are the ultimate hosts! We were in Maui for our son’s wedding. We asked for a few suggestions- and Katie immediately called us. The property is beautifully located on the island. We spent equal time in Wailea and Lahaina. The property is exactly as pictured. What isn’t pictured are all the special touches - plush bath and beach towels, fabulous bedding, fresh flowers, coffee, and sparkling water - even laundry pods! We we’re grateful that we chose Katie’s property. Mahalo.

The condo is ideally centrally located away from the heavy tourist traffic of Kihei, close to the beach and easy drive to Lahaina. Our host was very welcoming and responsive to all questions. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay any more than we did. The place is amazing. Katie and Mark's attention to detail is unbelievable and the design of the Condo is 2nd to none. From the kitchen, bedrooms, great room, to the bathrooms we loved every part of it; Everything is updated. There are so many things we loved about the condo but one we enjoyed the most was sitting out on that great Patio in the mornings and evenings to enjoy the view. It would be enough for the condo to have been amazing, but to add to it the responsiveness and care of Katie and Mark is a bonus. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us occasional to make sure everything was going well. If we travel back to Maui, I will not look at any other place except this one. If you're looking for a place to stay, make a reservation now. You will not be disappointed.

All the reviews are true, absolutely everything was awesome! From the aromatherapy oil diffuser to the Amazon Echo, the Keurig coffee maker to the robotic vacuum; this place is fully loaded with every appliance & creature comfort you could possibly need and more. Not to mention the ambiance is out of this world! Every inch of the condo is curated with exact attention to detail. It was a such a treat to relax on the porch swing under twinkling patio lights, surrounded by fresh plants, while watching turtles surf the waves below. I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that! Plus, the location is pretty perfect if you want to be in close proximity to every corner of the island, but far enough away from the buzz of crowds. Yet the most wonderful thing of all was our lovely host, Katie. She really went above & beyond before, during & after our stay. Her communication was fantastic and her restaurant & activity suggestions were on point. She was even able to hook us up with dinner reservations for a place that was booked months out. Totally magical! Five stars aren’t enough to describe our experience. There’s nowhere else I’d rather stay in Maui.

There are no words to how much we loved our stay at Katie’s place. The condo is gorgeous!! The details are unbelievable. Katie and her husband went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely wonderful. We didn’t want leave!! The view is astounding and we loved the balcony with all the thoughtful touches. Everything was perfect. It is very clear Katie has a huge talent for decor and takes great pride in her work. Everything from the rain shower shower heads, to the tray ceiling lights, to the lovely touches that make you feel at home: Nespresso machine, beautiful comfy leather couch, a huge Alexa for music… honestly there are too many things to name. She left us local craft beers in the fridge, a bottle of wine, chocolates, fresh flowers everywhere. This was definitely a 10 star experience. There is no question we’ll be back and we came all the way from Florida. Katie & Mark, thank you for everything especially your kindness and amazing hospitality.

We loved our stay here! The space is really nicely updated and there were so many great touches that made our stay extra special. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, the kitchen nicely stocked to do some basic cooking, and lots of comfortable space to hang out. We loved spending time on the lanai enjoying the beautiful views! And we saw sea turtles down below every single day!
We used the fans and ocean breezes to stay cool but there is great AC if you need it. We also didn't watch much TV, but you've got that too if you want it.
Katie was a great host and met us at the condo to show us around and was available for any questions.
They also have beach items like chairs, a cooler, beach towels, and boogie boards available to borrow which was so helpful and convenient! Excellent extra mile!

Absolutely loved our time on Maui and staying in Katie's condo made it extra spectacular. We love the location which is away from the crowds, but central to all the places we wanted to visit. Our trip was timed to see the whales and it was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch them right out in the harbor. The view was awesome.
The condo is beautiful and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in her work. Everything we needed was there at our fingertips.
Katie was very helpful, responding quickly to questions and providing great suggestions on places to visit, shop and eat.

You’ll notice two things when you walk in the door of this condo. Number one is the view and number two is the pride of ownership. The view has got to be one of the most stunning views on the island, especially at night, twinkling lights of Kihei and Wailea across the bay, stunning. I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s, typically they are nice, but Katie has really spared no expense and gone way beyond the normal. There was even a thermapen meat thermometer, Kuerig and a Nespresso machine. Coffee pods stocked to boot. The location is central to everything which is nice. 20 minutes to airport, Kihei, or Lahaina. The property is clean with an expansive lawn to relax and enjoy. The pool area is close to the ocean so relaxing with a cocktail, crashing waves and breaching whales is awesome. Totally recommend and will be returning. Thanks again Katie for a perfect stay, great job!

The view from the condo is picture perfect. The balcony faces the ocean - the waves and the sunrise views were amazing. The condo itself is exactly as described - clean, modern, with TV in every room and comfortable beds. The Condo was well stocked, particularly the kitchen. Katie checked us in and gave a tour of the condo. She was a great host answering all of of questions and also helped us plan some of our tours. She even dropped off a kitchen item we requested. The condo is located in Ma’alea Bay which we found to be a nice central point in Maui. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Condo and will stay here again when we come back.

We try to get to Maui once a year, and this is my favorite rental thus far. The location is great. We like to relax and read and stare at the ocean, so we enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting, but also the convenience of just being a 10-15 min drive from downtown Kihei. The apartment itself is amazing. The view is great. Comfortable balcony couch. It's clean, modern, and has automated and voice controlled lighting and shades. Moody recessed lighting options when you want to chill. The kitchen was new and well appointed. Bedrooms are large. The rain shower heads were amazing. AC units in both bedrooms and the main room. Katie was a joy to work with. She met us upon arrival and checked in on us by text. She clearly takes great pride in this place and has put a ton of heart into decorating it and making it homey. She even set up a big live Christmas tree since we were there the week before Christmas.

Condo was gorgeous and picture perfect. The sunrise on the balcony facing the ocean was amazing. Kate checked us in and gave us a tour of the property. She also checked in via text a few days after we arrived to make sure everything was ok. The front door is locked by an electronic key pad which made coming and going very easy. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Kate had the condo stocked with everything you could imagine… Robes, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, keurig coffee, papertowels, detergent…etc. If you are looking for a quite get away with amazing views this is the place to be.

Amazing views, gorgeous condo. Clean, beautiful and our host was very responsive to all questions. It was really really windy the week we were there, but the patio was protected and great for evening drinks, keeping the house cool and sleeping listening to the waves. Not that close to restaurants / shopping or our favorite beaches, but if your willing to do a little driving, you can’t do better than this place and the on the water views.

This completely renovated condo located on Ma’alea Bay did not disappoint. The views were beautiful! I loved sitting on the balcony watching boats, sea turtles and free divers. The condo was stocked with everything we needed including beach towels, beach chairs, coffee pods and even laundry detergent. Most days we had the windows open (even though there’s ac) to enjoy the breeze that was always present. A hidden gem that we discovered was Haycraft Park located at the very end of Hauoli Street. The park is very quiet and has the longest stretch of beach on Maui. Katie was a pleasure and was always happy to answer all my questions and make recommendations. This was the best place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. We would definitely stay at this beautiful condo again!
