We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was exactly as described in the listing. The balcony overlooked the water and we saw the turtles others noted. What a lovely and perfect unit for us! This being our 14 or 15th time to Kauai, we have to say that this was one of the best places we’ve stayed! The location being right on the ocean with soothing views, and the pool makes this unit the best compared to other condos we’ve tried. People were very nice here. The kitchen was fully equipped and the closet full of water toys and beach gear was great! Melodee was an awesome host as well. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

The view is outstanding. Turtles are under your window at all times. At least 10 and often many more. Part of our family saw dolphins once from the balcony.
We all saw three eagle rays from the balcony.

We loved the condo! It was perfect for our family of 4. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed watching the turtles from the deck. We would 100% re book as everything was easy and well stocked for our stay. It’s clear that the owners are always improving and updating the unit which is always nice as a guest to see. If you enjoy getting sprayed by the ocean breeze and looking straight down at the shore with lots of feeding turtles - then this is your place. Short walk down to the best beach on the island - Poipu Beach - or, in the other direction a nice walk to the Hyatt. The condo was a great fit for us - no need for the air conditioners just fans and open windows. Best to have a small rental vehicle for the small parking spaces. The pool area is also great although we spent very little time in it. Overall a great condo with great location. At dusk the turtles will come up on shore to rest on Poipu Beach and then return at dawn. Look but don't get too close - volunteers will make sure - and don't use flashes at night. Aloha

The view from the patio can’t be beat. Got to see turtles continuously while enjoying our meals. The tables and chairs are a nice touch and at the right hight so see the ocean. Pool is clean and easily accessible. The rooms are clean and the AC works great. We enjoyed our stay in Kauai.

If you want the most beautiful view on Kauai….this is the place. Saw sea turtles snacking, and other aquatic creatures all from the balcony.
The description of the unit is very accurate. Read carefully.
This unit is small, as stated in the listing…700 sq ft. I would not recommend for 4 adults. This unit is much better for a couple or a family with small children.

Our family of four spent four nights in this two bedroom condo. Clean place, comfortable beds and amazing views. Drinking coffee in the morning and cocktails at night on the patio was the best part. Watching the sea turtles play right off the back patio was enjoyable for all of us. Melodee was a great host, thank you very much. We'll be back!

High marks for owner Melody and the unit as well as location and view. We had some difficulty getting into the unit (due in part to my misreading of owner’s instructions. And the Vrbo agent). When I called Vrbo for help I was connected with Vrbo agent who was difficult to understand. That may have been due, in part, by his accent and my difficulty hearing him. After some difficulty finding our booking he told us our reservations had been cancelled for nonpayment of the balance due. We told him that was impossible as we had confirmation of payment and access information. He told us the information was from an owner whose name we did not know. I called that owner and she told me she owned property onKauai but this was not her property and knew nothing about our reservation. We spoke again with the same Vrbo agent that had no explanation who offered to find a similar unit at another Vrbo property at no cost to us. I reread the owner’s instructions and figured out the proper procedure and got into our unit. This was NOT caused by our host but my mistake compounded by the Vrbo agent’s to resolvethe issue by more investigation. It was a combination of tired travelers and poor communication with the Vrbo agent. He completely had the wrong information, the wrong unit, the wrong confirmation, the wrong owner ,and was unable to correctly identify our reservation that began what turned out to be a great vacation at a great spot. This was NOT an owner issue This was a VRBO CREATED error apparently based on information in Vrbo records. The agent was trying to be helpful but was relying on Vrbo records that started this one hour frustrating event.

Great location. Everything maintained very well. The unit has very small kitchen and eating area. We were meeting other family members so we were unable to have dinner at this unit. Luckily other families had units with area large enough to entertain.

Great views and proximity to beach. Nice area to visit with plenty of things to do. Good restaurants are very close. Small space but enough for two people. Not super luxurious but very comfortable and more than adequate for us. Recommend.

This property is just as advertised. Clean and well/maintained. Fully equipped kitchen. Well-maintained communal BBQ almost right outside the door. Beach chairs, towels, snorkeling equipment (didn’t use snorkels so can’t comment on how good they are). Comfy bed. Excellent beach 5-10 min walk away. But the standout feature is the view. You are right on the ocean with an amazing view. If you walk down a level to the pool, the view is even better. There were turtles swimming in the cove anytime we looked. On several occasions, we saw whales and there was a large group of dolphins swimming back and forth at various times. Really great location. Would suggest that you get your groceries in Lihue before driving to Poipu. Grocery store in Koloa has limited options. However, drive into Lihue from Poipu is pretty easy

This is a cute little condo. It could use some updates but we didn't spend a lot of time in it except to sleep. My fiancee and I were gone during the day taking in the island since it had been almost 30 years since my fiancee had been to Kauai. Melodee was super nice! She brought us a new beach umbrella after we realized that the one that we took from the closet was broken. We didn't find that out until it started pouring rain on us when we went to Hanalei Bay and in an effort to keep our belongings from getting soaked, we took the umbrella out only to find it in pieces! When I communicated that to Melodee, she arrived the next day with a new one which we had to use during our trip to Baby Beach. On our last day, we chose to stay at the pool and we were SO GLAD that we did! We saw a bunch of dolphins go by and there were several turtles in the water below us! Breathtaking views from our balcony and from the pool. Great location!

Our experience here was great. The unit and grounds were clean and well maintained. It had thoughtful amenities, like insulated cups and pool gear. The condo was comfortable and relaxing. There were no stairs required to access the condo. The pool was very nice. The property manager Melodee was very helpful and responsive. And the setting and view was incomparable. We would stay here again.

This was our second year at Poipu Shores. But in a different unit. This unit exceeded our expectations. Awesome ocean view, turtle sanctuary, proximity to Brennekes Beach and Poipu State Park. Not to mention restaurant and other resort amenities just a short walk out the door. We were here specifically for relaxation and this location delivered. The pool was very quiet and we enjoyed meeting other like-minded visitors from all over. The unit itself is very well-appointed with all the stuff you need in a home away from home We probably have stayed in 4 to 5 VRBOs each year all over the US during each of the last 5 years and this has been our favorite.

Located right at the edge of a lava rock cliff where waves splash high and turtles love to play. Beautiful view of Poipu Bay from the deck. Although the unit itself was smaller than we expected from the photos, it was well supplied and upscale furnishings. We had a few maintenance issues that owner took cate of immediately. We thourally enjoyed our visit.

I have had ocean view & ocean front rooms in my lifetime but this beats them all!! The lanai is practically right over the rocks/ocean. You hear the waves crashing morning & night and see sea turtles every time you look in the water. The unit was very clean and comfortable, and really appreciated the a/c since it was August! Lovely pool area, we even got sprayed by the waves a couple times while in the pool & on the deck! Zero complaints here!

We loved our stay. It was so nice to hear the surf all day long plus to watch the turtles from our balcony. Short walk to Brenneckes Beach and Poipu Beach was so convenient. And we were able to see the green turtles resting at Poipu Beach. What a treat! The only issue we had was not having more seats to seat all 3 of us on the dining island. Maybe having two extra chairs would help since the unit sleeps 4 people otherwise it was very comfortable and clean.

This is one of our favorite VRBO's ever. Most of that has to do with the balcony and our ability to walk out and enjoy the surf and lots and lots of turtles nearly within reach! :-)
The kitchen is small, but well equipped. The beds are all very comfortable. Access to cable and streaming apps. Access to the condo is easy and right outside the door are the propane grills that are there for our use.
Walking access to Po'ipu beach. We ate in for almost every meal - worked very well! Highly recommended!!

Had a wonderful time at this property. The location was absolutely amazing! Turtles in the bay every day. The lanai was perfect for enjoying a meal or just taking in the waves. The pool was a great as well. Listing describes the unit very well. While not large, we had plenty of room for our family of four. Laundry was a plus as was the selection of beach chairs, coolers, toys and snorkel gear. Kitchen needed a few more basics (refill of salt, pepper, oil, etc) but that’s nothing major. Location to the beaches, Old Koala town and shops was perfect. It was an amazing week and can’t wait to go back!

We were so happy with our stay here. The location was great. Just a few minute walk to the beach and some restaurants. A few minute drive from the shopping areas and more restaurants. Just a few minutes from the poipu bay golf course. A short drive from the airport. The property manager even sent us a long list of things to do on the island as well as restaurants to go to. Their instructions on how to get to the property from the airport were great and even included the more scenic route. We felt we had the best of both worlds in this location. Being just minutes from the beach but also having a pool to enjoy was ideal. The pool was never very busy with just a few people at it each day. We loved being able to wake up each morning and sit on the balcony watching the turtles in the waves below while enjoying our coffee. We would definitely return!

This was a great little place to stay. The rooms have AC. Internet works great. Views are awesome. Sea turtles were hanging out in the bay below the balcony the whole time. The walk to Poipu beach is easy and short. Place is has everything needed to enjoy the beach.
My only complaint is the parking. It is a pain. it's super tight. and most people can't park correctly. So don't come with a big vehicle like an escalade
Recommendations - some of the popular places require reservations (ie the beach house), so make sure to set them up in advance. To save time with Da Crack Grinds, order online. Bring a rain jacket/umbrella, because every day there it rained at some point.
We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this place, even with the parking issues.

Super location right on the ocean and within walking distance to sandy beaches. Kitchen was well equipped. It is not really large, but the rooms were all comfortable and it worked great for our family of four. The host was very responsive, and the onsite staff were super helpful when our car battery died and we needed a jump. We had a lovely time and would certainly come back again.

You are on the water with great views! The turtles are plentiful to watch right in front of you in the waves. A short mostly private walk to the beach area where snorkeling is superb. It was relaxing to have a full kitchen and all the amenities of home at your fingertips.

Lovely stay and could not ask for a better view. Home is exactly as described. The Air conditioners in the bedrooms were great to have at night. Other units in the complex do not have AC so this was a huge plus. Our flight home was late at night and the host was kind enough to allow us to pay for a late check out so we could relax all day before heading out.
The pool is the perfect temperature and it is a very easy walk down a path to the beach - the beach chairs and cooler in the closet were a huge plus. No need to go out for happy hour when you can't get a better spot than the lanai. Golfing and hiking is a 5 minute drive. We really enjoyed our time and are so glad we selected this VRBO. The only very minor suggestions would be one more non-stick pan in the kitchen and another small bedside table so you don't have to put your water and phone on the floor. Thank you for a wonderful few days and for being an excellent host.

We had a great time in Kauai and would recommend this condo for the Poipu area. The condo had amazing views of the bay and ocean and we were able to sit on the lanai and watch the turtles surf on the waves! We appreciated the cleanliness of the unit, the air conditioners which were able to quickly cool the space, and the thoughtful welcome gifts. There was also plenty of towels and beach gear. The space was cozy and adequate for our needs.
One thing I would note is that there was no soap or shampoo provided (which in and of itself is not a problem) but I just wished it was noted somewhere in the listing so that we would have known to get them when we were at Walmart getting other supplies prior to checking in. Since the place was fully stocked, I inquired about the availability of soap or shampoo, and the host mentioned that I was the first person to ask about these items, so I just wanted to make sure that no one else was surprised since the rental listing doesnt mention BYOS&S (bring your own soap and shampoo) and this is actually the first condo I've stayed at in years that didn't include a bar of soap or bodywash.

My wife and I loved our stay at Poipu Shores. The unit was very clean, nicely updated, and spacious. The location couldn’t have been better for accessing the beaches and shops of Poipu. Our favorite part of the whole stay was the lanai directly over the ocean. We spent breakfast every morning on it and it was perfect. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves at night.
Melodee was a great host and was very easy to get ahold of. We would definitely stay in the unit again and hope to do so soon.

If you’re looking to fall asleep and wake up to waves crashing on the shores and to see turtles dolphins and rainbows then this place is perfect for you. Great location close to Poipu beach for great snorkeling and boogie boarding, make sure to watch the sunset either from the rocks right below the property or at Poipu beach and at night you can also see the giant turtles resting on the beach. Owners are thoughtful in the amenities, beach chairs towels and even some snorkeling gear included. The 1/2 bath was great luxury for our family of four. The property is small as you can see from the photos but all space utilized very well and the washer dryer was so handy too. Sliding door needs maintenance but the owners are aware, furnishings and fixtures are dated and show lots of wear but again this is still a great condo and great value for the location.

Aloha. We loved the ocean noise and watching the turtles swimming everyday. The swimming pool and close location to the beach were ideal. The kitchen and living area were small but worked perfectly for our family trip. Melodee was very helpful with any questions and attentive to our needs.
