This is a beautiful ground floor condo in a gorgeous, relatively small, quiet resort with wonderful staff.
The grounds are lovely and the beach is great for families. The surf is small and fun for beginner surfers and snorkeling. Having the beach club was a great surprise. The beach towels, chairs, etc were a nice treat.
The athletic club also exceeded our expectations. We played pickleball, table tennis and used the pool and gym. The pool is beautiful with a sandy beach access and a small waterslide.
The condo itself is clean and modern with comfortable furnishings and everything we needed to make our own food. The grills are 50 ft off the lanai and every morning they're made to be the most impeccably clean grills I've ever seen. The beds and linens are quality and comfortable.
Another great part of our stay was working with Dianne. She is a top notch host! She is responsive, professional, gracious and generous. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Diane's condo. It was clean, the beds were comfy, the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The AC kept the condo very cool. The lanai was relaxing and the location was perfect.
The only con was that it's a downstairs unit, so having a family with young children above us was annoying at times, especially the early morning wake-ups. This is just part of having upstairs neighbors.
I definitely would stay here again!

We have stayed at Kiahuna Plantation many times and this unit was excelent. Very comfortable furniture in the living room. Comfy bed and we like the building's location with parking always available. All the beach gear was a plus for us.

Gorgeous property in a very convenient location. The host was fantastic, providing lots of useful information ahead of our stay. It was a very comfortable retreat that was easy from booking through checkout.
Only issue was our upstairs neighbors were heavy walkers and we could hear them through the floor/ceiling at all hours if the day and night

We had originally wanted a unit next to the beach (this is our 3rd stay at Kiahuna Plantation - which we LOVE and keep coming back to) but no availability. So we decided on this unit with a garden view. SO glad we did! Turns out we didn't miss being right on the ocean after all because there were so many other great things about this unit! It's only a 2 minute walk through beautiful gardens to the ocean. The building is at the top of the property right next to the road, but don't let that deter you. We rarely had road noise since Kauai shuts down at about 8:00pm! The building is right next to the pathway to walk across the street for the complimentary fitness center and pool. Hubby loved that!
AIR CONDITIONING! Yes, tropical breezes are wonderful, but when the humidity is high, having A/C sure makes it easier to sleep. Speaking of sleep - having a comfortable bed is always important to us, and such a risk with a VRBO but this one was great! Furniture is good and tastefully decorated. Kitchen is well stocked and beach supplies are in a closet right outside the door (although we didn't use any - I took a peek in there and it seemed like there was quite a bit to choose from!)
All in all this was a solid rental and you won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very clean, well-furnished, and beautiful. The owners also have some very nice accessories that made our stay even better: beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, boogie boards. The A/C was also a plus!
It's a little bit of a walk to the beach, but you can also drive further into the complex and park closer to the beach. We also liked that there's a convenient way in this complex to park and walk to Poipu Beach (since parking can be crowded there).
I reached out to the owner several times with questions, and they were incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful.
The complex has on-site laundry (for a small fee), but not in the condo.
We would definitely stay here again!

Ms. Dianne was a pleasure to work with as the owner. The home was very clean, need was super comfy and good location to many things to do. The check in process was tricky as only one family can be checked in at one time. I didn't do much but shower and sleep but very thankful for the AC, cooler and freezer blocks. I will definitely recommend. Thank you Dianne.

The property was exactly as described in the listing, the beach is perfect for sitting and relaxing and we were able to snorkle daily, we saw so many fish and turtles! Another great 2 week stay. Hands down the best side of the island. Love the condo, this was our 2nd stay in it! Condo is very close the many good restraunts and shopping. The gardeners keep the amazing property in beautiful shape. Morning and evening walks on the property as well as the beach are a must. Also, seeing turtles and seals almost daily sleeping on the beach was an added bonus!

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not working when we arrived. I was told that parts had to be ordered therefore the fan was not working the entire time of our stay.
The refrigerator made a loud noise the entire time it was running . This was particularly annoying at night.

The bed/matress was excellent for my bad back. The beach supplies were first rate. All four burners on the top of the stove did not work and the fan in the fridge was very noisy and ran most of the time. We stayed 17 days and upon arrival the condo had many spiders and cockroaches...it took two cans of raid and a visit from the exterminator to fix the problem. The last 10 days of our stay was bug free and the management was
helpful in solving the problem. That said I would stay here again.

Overall a fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend the unit and location. Super convenient to the south side of the island and walking distance to both beach and shops. We never needed air conditioning the entire time (even though they had one present) because of a nice breeze through the unit.

The stay was good. They have plenty of beach and snorkeling equipment ready at your use. Only complaint was the stove burners had issues, but I reported and Diane was quick to respond.

We love Kiahuna plantation and have stayed here several times. This is by far the nicest interior of any unit we have stayed at. Kiahuna beach and plenty of open green space for families to play make this a special place.

This was a great condo. Had everything we needed. Even though it doesn’t have AC, the condo was positioned in a way that air flowed perfectly through the condo to keep it cool. Bonus that there is a mango tree outside the condo that provided fruit all week long.

We absolutely loved our experience at Kiahuna Plantation unit 113. This was our third time at Kiahuna and we absolutely loved the location this time. We were very close to the pool and perfect distance from the beach. Ground level worked well for us as we were able to easily access the outside. The grills are really close too. Perfection!

The location is perfect for my family with a 1 and 3 year old. The nearby pool and water slide kept them entertained and were easy to access. Beach is close! Ground floor was key so we didn’t have to drag our stroller upstairs. The owner communicated very well! Excellent stay!

We couldn’t have asked for a better trip! This condo was perfect for our family. The green space off the patio was fun for snail and frog watching, ball playing, evening hide and go seek with neighbor’s kids. The walk to the beach(s) was easy as was the walk to the pool. We sat on the beach and watched the turtle each evening, who seems to live right off the shore. Watch whales swim up and down the coast and saw a pod of what appeared to be upwards of 100 dolphins on our first day. The grounds are beautiful and the staff on site were pleasant. We hope to return again.

This was our second time visiting the Kiahuna Plantation but the first time in this unit. It was clean, comfy bed, had some beach toys. This one was further from the beach, but "centrally located" if you are going to use the pool often--which we did. The pool and the whole club/restaurant are a big positive with this place! The pool is fun for kids and the restaurant is delicious with poolside drinks! It's not waterfront as it's across the street, but it's also close to a yummy coffee/acai bowl spot. You do have to check in and out in person with the front office and I've gotten used to self check in these days, but they were friendly and helpful. Overall, would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

This quaint place was very clean on arrival. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows to choose from. Kiahuna beach was great for snorkeling.

The grounds were beautiful and the condo was as advertised. I had to completely wipe down the kitchen upon arrival as all flat services were sticky and there was grease around the stove area. When we opened the dishwasher we found food in the bottom of the machine and had to call housekeeping to clean it. I know it’s the tropics, but we had to deal with cockroaches repeatedly during our stay. Otherwise it was comfortable and well appointed . High quality linens and the kitchen was well stocked for food preparation.

We enjoyed our stay at Dianne's condo in Poipu! The location is great! There's a coffee shop is directly across the street and the beach is a 2-minute walk away. Parking is a breeze. And if you are spending your time on the south side of Kauai, this place is tough to beat.

We love staying at the Kiahuba property and have been several times. This was our first visit to Dianne’s condo and it was very nice. The lanai was relaxing at the start and end of our days and the rooms were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed there for our stay. Nice property but we had a miserable experience. Massive renovation going on unit next to ours -- jackhammers to break tiles embedded in concrete. No advanced notice on this. When we complained, staff at Castle Resort could have cared less -- instead of apologizing or trying to move us to a different unit, the woman at front desk said they are not responsible for ensuring quiet conditions -- this was a masters course in NOT how to do customer relations. Ruined our trip....real bummer!

We loved the condo, Kiahuna plantation and Poipu! The listing is very accurate, the setting is very lush and green and has flowers and birds everywhere. The condo had everything we needed for a 3+ week stay. It is truly a 2 minute walk to the beach, where there are chairs and towels for use and lots of amenities for rent. The mgmt co was very helpful when there was a power outage from a storm and our cable went out. Overall a great experience!

Perfect distance between beach and pool. Only thing to note it that there is no washer/dryer so once the condo towels are dirty you have to get a fresh set of towels at the beach hut and then return the beach towels to the beach hut.

This was a special trip, my sister was turning 60 and my husband planned this trip for the two of us! He’s a keeper! What a beautiful property, great location and our host Dianne was so helpful and friendly! Everything about our stay was great, what a beautiful condo, the beach that it’s on was amazing! I went out to the beach every morning for the sunrise and one morning there were 25 turtles just down the beach, what a sight! The condo was very nice, beautifully decorated and the location couldn’t be any better! We would definitely recommend it!

We had the best time here! The grass around the gardens is beautiful and it leads right up to a perfect beach. You can easily walk to the resorts and Poipu beach. We also went the other way across a small street where there is an outdoor gym, pool with a waterslide and a great restaurant all right there. There is a small shopping center there too, with a coffee shop and market. Oh! And chickens with their chicks everywhere.

I've traveled to the island of Kauai twice before this trip. It's one of my favorite islands, as it's lush, beautiful and romantic. During those stays, I was in Princeville and Lihue. Until this trip, we had NO IDEA that Poipu is the place to stay! Our condo was spacious, well ventilated and nicely decorated (great, just as pictured)! It's a very short walk to the beach and we loved having easy/no-charge access to beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. The best part for us, however, were the amazing restaurants, many within walking distance. All very close. We couldn't have been happier. To this end, if you are traveling to Hawaii in the near future then we recommend you make dinner, car-rental and excursion reservations BEFORE your trip. There are still many shortages as the result of COVID and we were lucky to have been tipped-off before our trip. NOTE: There were NO rental cars for some traveler, so they were forced to rent U-Hauls. Another couple we met stayed a week, but could not make dinner reservations for any night.
With that said, thank you to the property owners & managers; as well as VRBO. The entire process from beginning to end was perfect!!
