When we first arrived the air conditioning didn’t work. It was 91 in there. Could not get it fixed that night. Then the patio screen door feel off rough start. One we went to the office the next day they got everything straightened out place was nice. The view was awesome and the little beach with turtles was great. We had a great time. Would up stay again.

It was extremely warm in the master bedroom. The air conditioner did not work properly. It barely blows any air out so it doesn't cool the room. We ran 2 floor fans and the ceiling fan the entire time and had to keep the blinds closed so you could not enjoy the view. You also can't use the upstairs lanai because the air conditioner unit is placed on it and constantly blows hot air which makes it like a furnace out there. You pay a premium for this unit with 2 lanais and a view of the ocean but you can't enjoy it at all. We travel to Maui often and thought we would try this unit. We won't stay here again and do not recommend it. Very disappointing!

I definitely had mixed feelings so I’ll run through the pros and cons.
Pros: Well stocked- we had everything we needed. Comfortable furnishings. We were out and about during the day and early evening and the products they provided were almost enough for our 10 day stay. Loved having the washer and dryer in the condo. The views were lovely and we saw lots of sea turtles. It was quiet and peaceful.
Cons: not the cleanest vacation rental I’ve been in. Not sure the Lanai’s, light switches or AC units have ever been cleaned. More on the AC, it never cooled. We had it set to 72 and it ran nonstop for 10 days and ranged from 76-84. We told the property management company on day 1 and the told us they were trying to get a HVAC company in for all 10 days. They did afterwards compensate us but it was awfully hot the entire time. Though we were perfectly happy with the condo’s grounds, the neighborhood was definitely sub-par compared to those to the north and definitely those to the south (but we weren’t willing to pay the resort prices in the south). I thought having restaurants and shops to walk to would be nice but those restaurants and shops were not nice. We went down to the food truck area and some guy was shouting at people and throwing things at the bus stop.

This property was very nice. The view is spectacular. As many others stated, we saw sea turtles right on the beach that is part of the property. The beach is small but nice and close. This is not part of a resort but a condo property so very small grounds but close to most restaurants and other great beaches. The only thing that I wasn't aware of, was the second bathroom was on the main floor so the couple in the second bedroom had to run downstairs to shower. Not a showstopper by any means. We would stay here again because the view is so wonderful. You can also walk to get breakfast or lunch to a nice little market and major food shopping is close as well.

This property is conveniently located next to a small beach. If you don’t want to stay in the busy hotel area this is perfect. Probably saw an average of 10 sea turtles a day especially while snorkeling. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great trip to Maui and this property at Lokelani was amazing! Very clean and very well stocked, great location and the view! That view was beautiful! Loved watching whales and turtles from our balcony!

Our stay was very enjoyable and quiet! Very comfortable beds. A nice place to relax when we weren’t sightseeing. The icing on the cake was watch a whale birth from our balcony. Memories that will last a lifetime!!! I would highly recommend this place.

I had two issues with this property. The air conditioners are set so that they will not go lower than 72 degrees and during the day the rooms heat up to 78 to match the outside temperature. It takes until almost midnight to cool down. The only other issue is the living room furniture has super hard cushions so not very comfortable to spend time in there. Other than those two things it was an excellent townhome. Very well equipped, 30' from the water so great view, nice balconies with comfortable lounge chairs and high tops, and a cool little beach 75 yards away,.

Loved our stay! So many turtles! Great snorkeling, beach, location and incredible views! Clean condo and well stocked kitchen! The double lanai was a real bonus. We’d stay here again!

The condo was comfortable and clean. It's right on the water which was great. We watched turtles in front of the sea wall every day. Beach is on the small side but nice, easy access for snorkeling. Overall a great experience.

We had 6 in this unit, and the dual lanais made it perfect for late and early sleepers to enjoy the space. We couldn’t bear to close the doors because the view was stunning. Great access to watch turtles and snorkel. Well stocked kitchen and bonus for the cooler we could borrow.

Totally enjoyed our stay sitting on the perfect perch/deck.....listening to the waves, watching the whales in February and taking in the 80-degree weather. The condo was updated, clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. And it was nice to have air conditioning. Have already booked next year!

The condo was fantastic. Had everything you needed from beach equipment to toiletries. Was within walking distance to ABC store , coffee & farmers market. Spent most of our time there out on the lanai enjoying the view. Property management in touch with us before, during and after our trip. Would definitely book again.

Very old building. Remodeled unit but still old. Lots of creeks. Water flow is not consistent.. Many cold showers. Toilet sounds strange when it fills so at times we weren’t sure if it was going to overflow. View and parking was fine. It’s maui so I don’t think there is a bad view on the island. I cant say I would recommend or not recommend it wasn’t for us.

We have stayed at many properties on Maui, and this unit at the Lokelani is now my favorite by far. For our ocean loving family, there are only pros:
1) Ocean facing master bedroom - fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves every night.
2) Two ocean facing private lanais - we ate every meal at the table on the lower lanai.
3) Nicely update interior - while we did not use the sleeper part of the sofa, the sitting part was actually comfortable and firm, not saggy like sleepers often are.
4) A/C - we've never had A/C in Maui before, so we felt like we were cheating when we turned it on, but it sure was nice to have it to cool the rooms before bedtime.
5) A nice swimming beach just a staircase away.
6) Set back from the road just slightly more than other places and it makes a big difference in the noise you hear from cars
7) Great location - just a short drive to several great snorkeling sites, Kaanapali, and Lahaina.

Pictures of the property are good but they do not serve the view any justice. The property has gone above and beyond with all of the small conveniences of home to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. You can expect daily visits by sea turtles on the adjacent kid-friendly beach.

Such a lovely stay. You simply can’t find many properties like this. The unit is clean and comfortable. It is well stocked with everything you need to make ones stay enjoyable. Including an ice chest for the beach, but let me tell you about the view! You can almost reach out and touch it. There is nothing blocking your view. It is truly you and the ocean! Thank you for making our stay a memory of a lifetime! 🌸🏝❤️
